The corruption of this organization is a true embarrassment to the running communityAfter registering for the USA Half marathon, Superhero Events sent out a mass email claiming the race was cancelled due to "permitting issues" and they were issuing registration refunds immediatelyThis was just a month from the race, at which point we runners had been training and preparing for the race for monthsUnacceptableAfter waiting a couple weeks and receiving no refund, I emailed the race organizers, messaged them on Twitter and Facebook, and received no responseIn fact, they delete my and other's complaints on their Facebook page to cover up their scamThey eventually posted a generic response to my message, but only after I contested the registration charge with my credit card company did they finally refund my registrationJust today I discovered from a reliable source that Superhero Events lied to runners about not obtaining the necessary permitsRather, they in fact did not get enough registered runners to be profitableReading the other similar complaints, I'm horrified Superhero Events is still allowed to operateHow much longer will they continue scamming runners?

please call your credit card company to reverse the charge for the race. Please let me know if you have any issues disputing the charge. A representative from our company called and emailed you multiple times yesterday, we have not received a reply. As stated previously, your refund was mailed last month. If you have not received it, there must be an issue with the mailing address. Either respond to our emails / phone calls or provide an updated mailing address in your Revdex.com reply.
