Review: Superhero events was organizing the Santa Clara Half Marathon that was to be held in December, 2014. In September, they announced that the event would be cancelled and refunds would be processed in a timely manner. It has now been almost 5 months and have not received any responses to my email messages requesting status of my refund.Desired Settlement: 100% refund. For those that have received refunds, they were still being charged $6 processing fee when the event was cancelled three months prior.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint.

Superhero events has not provided a reasonable response as to why I am not getting the same refund amount as people that registered after me and received a refund before me. The total cost of the cancelled event was $111. Two of my friends that registered after me, received a refund of $105 just two weeks ago. I received a check in the amount of $99.00. This is unacceptable and I would like for the business to explain as to why this would occur.

Review: I registered for this race. The date of the race changed, and I was promised a full refund... but was never given instructions on HOW to get that refund. I sent off emails to multiple addresses listed on their site. They all bounced back. I tried calling the numbers listed. They were disconnected. The only thing they did manage to do right was charge my credit card. I'm a marathon runner who has run multiple races, and this has been the WORST experience I've ever had.Desired Settlement: As the company offered a refund for their change in the race date we would like for them to honor their email.

Review: I registered for the 49'er/Santa Clara Half Marathon June 12, 2014. At the same time, I also registered my husband for the 5k. On August 16th, 2014, I requested a full refund for myself and my husband as the details of the race had changed from their original description. On August 25, 2014, [redacted] of SuperHeroEvents responded that she would check if Excelarace (the online registration company) had issued a refund, and if they had not, she would send a check to the address on file. I contacted [redacted] via email again on November 9, 2014 because I still had not received my refund. The race was officially canceled in late September and all refunds were to be issued in 6-8 weeks. I have contacted SuperHeroEvents via email on numerous occasions since then and have posted to their Facebook page, but have yet to receive a response from anyone. It is now February 15, 2015, and I have not received my refund.Desired Settlement: I expect a full refund in the amount of $161.38 to refund the following:

-my registration fees $99.49+$7.95=$107.44

-my husband's registration fees $49.49+$4.45=$53.94

Review: I registered for one of their events, 49ers Half Marathon back on June 12, 2014. The event was then cancelled, I received a notice stating the company would be refunding all registered participants within 6-8 weeks. It is now 6 MONTHS later and I have yet to receive any refund not to mention no response to over 20 emails that ive sent. This is my last resort,Desired Settlement: the total amount I paid. $107.44

If it is lost, please call your credit card company to reverse the charge for the race. Please let me know if you have any issues disputing the charge.
