Dear Mr. [redacted],I apologize for this inconvenience let me try to answer some of the questions that you may have.1.-We recommended the spark plugs service based on the millage of the vehicle, we asked you if you wanted us to perform the service and you AGREED that Synfast Oil Change could perform it.2.-According to the employees you came back the next day requesting the old spark plugs back obviously we did not have the parts anymore.3.-Synfast Oil Change uses Carfax to check previous vehicle services and you car DID NOT show a Spark Plug service performed before. The technician made the recommendations based on millage and Car Fax history, how will the tech know that you had already performed the service if CarFax did not show a spark plug service and you agreed to perform the service based on our recommendations?Ms. [redacted] Synfast Oil Change denied your claim because you accepted the Spark Plugs service. Synfast Oil Change provided 6 BRAND NEW Spark Plugs, labor, and the service was done correctly and with your approval and consent. We appreciate your business and once again I apologize for the inconvenience we might have caused.Best Regards.

Revdex.com:On 8/28/2016, you visited the Synfast Oil Change service center located at 6395 Balboa Ave. in San Diego, CA to have services performed...

on 2001 Ford Escape with 141161 registered miles on your odometer. These services included an Oil Change. After oil change was completed, CSR [redacted] TRIES TO SCAM ME recommended Spark plugs service and Brake fluid replacement. Please note all extra service were recommended by mileage. I WAS NEVER ASKED HOW MANY MI[redacted] IT HAD BEEN SINCE MY LAST SPARK PLUG CHANGE SO HOW WOULD YOU KNOW THAT THEY NEEDED TO BE REPLACED BASED ON RECOMMENDED MILEAGE- ANOTHER LIE- You agree- BECAUSE I SADLY TRUSTED YOU- BIG MISTAKE and Synfast technicians proceed with services. AKA THE SCAMWhile UNESSARILY servicing Spark plugs service Synfast technician [redacted] found out that you vehicle had DENSO spark plugs and were pretty burn out (Fouled Spark plugs). TOTAL LIE, THEY WERE 1 YEAR OLD,ALL BRAND NEW- Not to mentioned that this kind of spark plugs are used in Japanese vehicle not in Fords. [redacted] informed you about this and Mr. [redacted] proceeded with services. - THIS IS ANOTHER LIE BY [redacted] AS DENSOS ARE FINE FOR FORDS"On 8/29/2016 You came back to the store stating that you have already change your spark plugs a year ago and wanted the old spark plugs back.I asked for them back as my old mechanic was wonderingWHY ON EARTH YOU WOULD HAVE TOLD ME TO CHANGE THE SPARK PLUGS HE JUST REPLACED, WHEN THEY WERE ONLY 3,000 MI[redacted] OLD.\ However, [redacted] (SCM) told you that the technicians already discarded the park plugs. AGAINST THE LAWCsr informed us that you never requested for old parts back that same day. Reason why employees discard the old spark plugs that same night. This same day 8/29/2016 the trash company people came and they have already taken the trash, Synfast employees didn’t have your old spark plugs anymore.  On 8/31/2016 I [redacted] (DM) spoke to you about the situation. -TRUTH: [redacted]  told me that it was against the law the mechanics not to give the parts back to me after the service.Ms. [redacted] you are requesting Synfast Oil change to reimburse you credit card the amount of $376.99 for unnecessary services done at Synfast Oil Change. I requested for receipts for spark plug service done by your mechanic for spark plug service done year ago. You mentioned that this services were done by a mobile mechanic and you didn’t have any documents proving that in fact this services were done. The decision for denial is due to: ? Spark plugs service was recommended by mileage only and you agree with all recommended services. ? BECAUSE YOU TOLD ME THEY WERE BAD BUT NEVER SHOWED ME WHY OR HOW, THEN THREW THEM OUT - AGAINST THE LAWPlease Note: While servicing the spark plugs, technicians found out that your vehicle had Denso spark plugs in it. This brand its known and use for Japanese cars. At No time technicians recommended spark plugs by brand.TRUTH: If they didnt bring up brands why were they telling me about all the brands and how Denso's dont work when they do?AGAIN-- Per Ford, Denso's are fine for my Ford Escape and there was no reason to replace. [redacted] even told me he would give me a full refund if that is what the Ford mechanics said= which they did and they he tried to give me a free oil change instead to make up for the $370 scam.Ms. [redacted] You never request for old parts back at the end of the service. Synfast Oil Change is not responsible or will retain old parts if customer don’t ask for them back after services performed. ? - TRUTH: [redacted]  told me that it was against the law the mechanics not to give the parts back to me after the service. Whether I asked for them or not, which I did.  You admitted to me on the phone "off the record" that you guys were at fault and you needed to go over procedures with that location as they were not doing their job correctly and to assure this never happened again. I have reviewed the surveillance footage from your visit with us and it clearly shows that the Mr. Orozco and Mr. Dephorn making all recommendations by milesTRUTH: Did you see them showing me why my spark plugs were bad? Did you get them on tape conveniently throwing out the good spark plugs in order to get away with this scam? this part of the denial of claim makes absolutely no sense, much like the rest of the denial.I've been shown that [redacted] and [redacted] are both men who go against their word. They admit fault and then deny it once corporate is watching. They have no problem stealing money from people who made the mistake of trusting their word, advice and professional services. I could not fight this, but I will because it's the right thing to do. And the sad thing is all of you know it but refuse to be a company with high standards and integrity.  just read the other reviews and just realized that they pulled ANOTHER scam on me that they pulled on 2 people on 4/20 and another couple in Feb. (see yelp reviews) "THE OIL PAN HAS SHAVINGS IN IT AND YOUR LAST MECHANIC DID IT AND IT WILL COST YOU TO FIX IT SCAM". So I will need the to know all charges that were made in relation to this Scam that is well documented by past victims that I have spoken to and have decided to go in on my lawsuit if necessary.I have updated the yelp review so I could add this latest scam I have realized. https://www.yelp.com/review_share/ELiJqAVlTCheAcgkhoxKxQ/review/feAsl... info has been presented to the Revdex.com, Credit Card company as I am disputing charges. Next stop is court where I will sue SynFast and the parent company RFG oil with other yelp victims.  Hopefully, now you will admit to fault and actually refund me and not admit the fault and rip me off.
Regards[redacted]

Review: On 3/27/15, I went into Synfast to have my oil topped off. I am a regular customer there and since I have the high mileage oil, I only need to have my oil changed every other visit when my change oil light goes on. Well, I was at 30% oil life and was going to go on a road trip to Arizona so I decided to go in and have my oil topped off (as I was not due for an oil change). At that time, I asked the manager to check my brakes. According to him, I needed my front brakes changed. He told me that it would take 1.5 hours. I agreed to have the brakes done in addition to having my oil topped off (which was the main reason I went there in the first place). After waiting around for 1 hour, the manager tells me that it will take a "little longer" as they did not have the right brake pads. I was appalled that it took him one hour to realize that they did not have the right part! Well, THREE hours later, the work was complete.

While in Arizona, my oil life light went on and was showing 15% oil life! How could this be! I went to a shop in Arizona and had to add 3 quarts of oil. There was NOT a leak that caused this oil to disappear because when they added the oil in AZ, the oil life gauge was reset to 100%. It stayed 100% all the way back to CA. This means that the oil was NEVER added to my car even though it was DOCUMENTED on my receipt. I feel that is utterly irresponsible! It is an oil change place for goodness sakes! Anyway, this could have put me and my family in jeopardy if we had broken down in the desert on the drive to AZ. I will NEVER go back to sunfast ever again and have advised family members as well! I just want them to improve their service so that others will not be put in danger!Desired Settlement: I had to add oil in AZ and I would like to be reimbursed for the oil that I had to purchase. I would never want anyone from SYNFast to EVER touch my car again.

Review: On Saturday April 13, 2013 I went to get the oil changed on my car. They had an advertised special of 19.99. Of course, they tried to push other services on me but I firmly said I was there for the 19.99 oil change only. The staff "immediately" started on the oil change and 1 HOUR later they said they were finished so I gave them my debit/credit card. The assistant manager comes out with the bill and my card and the charge was $48.94. I asked if they had the wrong bill because I had the oil change special. The asst mananger said "oh no, you also got an air filter".I told him I only came there for the oil change. He then said that the person who changed the oil had included a charge for the air filter and apologized. Well,30 MINUTES later he comes out with the same bill and just crossed out the air filter charge and assured me that I would only be charged for the 19.99+tax.I asked for proof of the credit to my account which he declined.I then asked him to at least sign the bill to show he was the one who crossed out the charges which he reluctantly did. However, the bank still shows that they charged me $48.94.Desired Settlement: I want a letter of apology from the corporate office and a full refund.Perhaps this location should be fined. In this era of stolen identity and fraudulent charges it has me extremely worried that they had my card information for so long.

Response:

To Whom May Concern:We had contacted our accounting department

to verify if we had received double payment from your credit card. They

verified that we only received one payment for $20.27. They informed us

that your bank had placed a hold on your funds and they would not allow us to

release it without your card number. They asked us to wait 36 hours and

then have you verify that the funds have been released. That was where we

had left.I will follow up with the customer and let her know about the situation.Thanks.If you have any questions or concerns don't hesitate to contacted me [redacted] District Manager
