SynFast Oil Change Reviews (42)

Review: I went into synfast oil change because my oil light sensor was flashing at me and so I thought I would bring it there for them to tell me quickly if it was just the light or a [redacted] problem. They said they gave me a 21 point inspection and was checking areas of my car I didn't even request. They told my that my sensor was broken and that I needed to replace a valve cap on my spark plug. I also purchased a transmission flush. They charged me and sent me on my way, telling me my car was in perfect shape. I left and with in 30 minuntes my car began stuttering and barely running, it then just broke down on the side of the road while I had children in my car. My car would not turn on. I have never had an issue with my car before and knew it had to be something synfast did. I had my car towed back to synfast and what they found was that they ended up damaging all my spark plug wires and didn't notice, which ultimately lead me to be broken down on the side of dangerous road. They said they would replace the damage and to be nice replace the pil sensor I originally went in for that was not fixed at the beginning. I left the shop again with them guarantee me that my car was very safe and they had fixed everything. Within an hour after leaving my sensor light came back on, the one they said they were so kind to fix for free. This was the 2nd time in 24 hours that I left the shop with more problems than I came in with. I took my car to my normal mechanic and they informed me that they put a defected sensor in my car. I now feel unsafe in my car until I have it fully looked at by my personal mechanic. When I spoke to the manager, he ensured everything was fine but he would have to submit the paper work to his boss. The District manager called me and didn't seem to [redacted]ly care that the work they did left me in a very dangerous situation that involved kids. I asked for a simple refund for $267 for the original work they did and ended up braking my car. The district manager told me his only job is to fill out paper work and pass it along and that he can't [redacted]ly do anything. They also informed me that sometimes they may get defected parts because they get them aftermarket. This makes me scared for the peoples safety that take their cars there. This company should not be performing on cars, they are potentially causing dangerous situations for the customers that go there.Desired Settlement: I would like a full refund and the company to be given a lower grade. All the reviews from customers online state they are crooks and perform bad jobs. This business should be fined or at least warned by Revdex.com.

To whom it may Concern:

I spoke to Ms. [redacted] last week about her concern.

On 5/20/14 customer came to our location requesting a transmission flush service. As a loyal customer and part of our service we performed a 24 point inspection, including tire pressure and free fluids top offs. While the service was been performed the Manager [redacted] noticed that the car has severe oil leaks coming from the valve cover. Mr. [redacted] recommended a valve cover gasket replacement, customer agreed and approved the services. CSR proceed with a new work order which customer signed and approved both services (487101). While services been performed Ms. [redacted] mentioned to Mr. [redacted] about a Oil light that was coming on/off from her dashboard. Mr. [redacted] told the customer that it could possible be two reasons. First, a possible bad oil pressure switch. Second, a possible bad oil pump. This two are a wear and tear items, most of the times they start malfunctioning because of the age and mileage on the vehicle. [redacted] recommendations were if the problem persisted to start with the most inexpensive one which it was the oil pressure switch.

Transmission and valve cover gasket Services were completed customer left synfast Oil Change. A couple hours later customer call the store, customer said that her vehicle was not running good at all customer brought the car back to the SC. Upon inspection we noticed that one spark plug wire was damage. For the inconvenience Mr. [redacted] replaced all spark plugs wires and also replaced the Oil pressure switch Sensor at No Cost to Ms. [redacted] to make up for the inconvenience Invoice(487334). Finally vehicle was tested and customer left the premises. The next day Ms. [redacted] call back stating that now her oil light stays on when the vehicle is on idle. I [redacted] DM ask Ms. [redacted] to give me the opportunity to take her vehicle to another service center were we can inspect the vehicle and find out what is the [redacted] issue with her oil light. Ms. [redacted] was very upset and didn't want Synfast Oil Change to work on her car anymore, she told me that she already had taken her car to a third party mechanic, where they found a defective oil switch pressure sensor. I ask the customer for that final invoice or full diagnostic and I haven't received anything yet. At this point we do not know what is the [redacted] problem with her car and we don't know if the her vehicle has been repair yet . If is a defective oil switch Synfast can replace the oils switch at no cost to the customer.

A malfunctioning Oil pressure switch sensor has no relation with the other services provided Synfast Oil Change. In addition, the customer came to Synfast oil Change asking for the transmission service and she was asking about her oil light problem which she already knew about her PRE-EXISTING PROBLEM.

If Ms. [redacted] can e-mail me the invoice/diagnostic stating that the problem is a defective part, Synfast is willing to replace the oil pressure switch sensor at no cost to the customer.

If you have any questions or concerns please call me at [redacted].

Synfast Oil Change

Review: On 2/9/15 I brought my Ford Expiditon to Synfast for an oil change, one of the service techs suggested a transmission fluid change he mention there was a coupon so the change would be free, I agreed to it, after this he brought out a air filter asked if it was or to replace the old one, I trusted them and said, "if you think it needs it go ahead". An hour later supervisor [redacted] let me know my vehicle was ready, I could hear a loud knocking (clicking) sound I asked the service tech what that noise was, he said it was the transmission fluid change and it would be shaky for a few miles but it would eventually go away. The next day I drove it to work 30 miles from home and the noise was even louder then the day before, I contacted [redacted] and told him what I was hearing, he asked me to bring it in and they would take a look at it. On 2/11/15 I returned to Synfast and they said the oil was not thick enough and the motor was not running right, they're solution was to pour a product of lucas into the motor. A few minutes later [redacted] and another tech came and let me know that the motor was about to go and suggested a place where I could buy a new motor, and they would deliver it to them to replace. In the end a simple 30 dollar oil change became a 200 dollar failed engine.

The Service tech were all professional and friendly, and its nothing against them, but one of the service techs had his son there and every time he called for his father one of the three techs would come to the lobby and see what he needed, I'm not sure which one was working on my car at what point. Also in the hour I was there I heard my trucks engine being reved several times. I submitted a formal complaint with Synfast and they determined it was not their fault, because the oil levels were full, and the filter & plug were tightened. My problem was with the noise it was making not the oil change, when I left on 2/9 the tech did not mention the motor might fail, he said it was due to the fluid change.Desired Settlement: To have my truck fixed by a reputable mechanic. I only when in for an oil change, 15 or 20 minute job, I was there for over an hour and at no time did they mention there was something wrong with my truck. Even when I left and asked about the sound the tech said it would go away and was due to the transmission fluid, not the motor failing. Again no noise when I arrived and when I left there was a drastic change.
