Revdex.com:I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.Regards,[redacted] 1. No webstie was ever delivered.  Tap to Eat could not even come up with a domain name much less a real working website.2. [redacted] developed a menu full of errors and misspellings.  He could not even spell the name of the business right.  All references to the business name in both the menu and the rough draft of the face book page was not correct.  He kept calling it [redacted] where-by the correct name is[redacted].  Furthermore, the menu was developed for the purpose of using Tap to Eat's on-line mobile ordering system.  I made it very clear to Tap to Eat at the very beginning that I was not going to use their on-line mobile ordering service.  I repeatedly addressed this concern with several staff members at Tap to Eat.  What we agreed on was a website and a [redacted] page and we were going to see how many hits these mediums got first before I bought into their on-line mobile ordering system.3. I got a very, very rough [redacted] page using my personal name, which was spelled wrong also.  I finished the [redacted] page and created the link to [redacted].  I did all the work not Tap to Eat.4. I do not accept Tap to Eat's offer of credit for 6 months of service.  I asked that Tap to Eat reimburse me the $299.00 they charged me for the website design and business [redacted] page.  Originally we agreed on a fee of $249.00 but they debited my account instead $299.00.  They also agreed to reimburse me the $50.00 overcharge, which I never received.  I also asked that Tap to Eat reimburse me for each month they charged me $29.00 for the mobile on-line ordering service, which was never implemented.  That sum is $87.00.  Tap to Eat owes me a sum of $386.00 and it is the only way I am going to accept a resolution to this complaint.I appreciate the Revdex.com's time and effort in this matter.  If you have any further questions or concerns, please don't hesitate to contact me.Sincerely,[redacted]

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
1)  We did not receive any notification that an app had been completed
2)  App does not actually work
3)  App is only available for iphone / ipad, not for android devices.
4)  This is the first attempt to resolve / first response from Tap To Eat even though this complaint is 9 months old and issue is nearly a year old
5)  Based on the unwillingness of Tap to Eat to complete the project in a timely manner, their lack of a timely response to my emails, my phone calls and this complaint, and the lack of timely payment to other clients of Tap To Eat with whom I have spoken, I have no desire to be in business with this company
Regards,

Review: I started with tap to eat building a website and mobile app for online ordering for my business. The agreement was once the site and app went live I would be charged $79 a month for their service. They started charging the fee the first month And nothing was ever built and they have been charging me since after multiple Times of cancelling my account with them. They only respond by phone and it's always someone else that I speak to because everyone I dealt with prior has left the company. They assure me the problem will be fixed it must be a computer error but say every time they can't refund my money. It's not refunding they have been charging $79 a month for 7 months for a service that has never been started.Desired Settlement: To be refunded in full the amount I have lost to this company

Review: We gave Tap to Eat 6 months to implement there online ordering services. It was a nightmare. Went through 5 account managers before they finished setup. Took 8 weeks when they told me 2 weeks to set up. Was told that this was a Google supported service and was not. Was promised an app for our business and was never delivered. Finally gave up and called to cancel my account. Four conversations later they never canceled my account. The owner of the business, Moises, is very friendly but did NOTHING to resolve our issues and never canceled our account.Desired Settlement: Refund the money you have fraudulently removed from my bank account and cancel my account.

Review: I agreed to pay Tap to Eat $249.00 for a website design and a [redacted] page. Tap to Eat debited my account instead $299.00 for the design work and in addition to the design fee has been debiting my account $29.00 per month since November 2014 for a platform fee. To date I have yet to receive a website design and I had to complete my own [redacted] page. The platform fee of $29.00 per month is a fee Tap to Eat charges for on-line mobile ordering.

I never agreed to on-line mobile ordering. Our agreement was a website design and a [redacted] page for $249.00 to begin with and then we would monitor how many hits the sites are getting and then decide if I wanted to buy in to their online mobile ordering platform. The first thing Tap to Eat did was build me a custom menu for the purpose of online ordering. Our agreement was very specific NO ONLINE ORDERING, not yet, just a domain, website, and a [redacted] page. I placed an unauthorized stop payment request with my bank for the $29.00 per month platform fee on 1/5/2015.

I have made repeated calls and emails to [redacted] who is Tap to Eat's sales manager requesting a $50.00 refund for the over charge on the design fee and refunds for each of the platform fees that I have been charged to date. I have been working with an individual by the name of [redacted] on getting the website design completed with no success. At this point I do not want to continue working with Tap to Eat on any level and would like a full refund of $299.00 for the website and [redacted] page design as well as $87.00 for the platform fees charged me to date.Desired Settlement: Tap to Eat needs to refund me by check or credit my checking account in the amount of $386.00 ($299.00 for design fee and $87.00 for platform fees).

Even though they wanted multiple changes to the website (Which we normally charge for) we made all the changes and tried to work with this customer. We would still like to make this customer happy and would be happy to credit their account for 6 months of service.Regards,Tap To Eat Managment

As an owner of a online marketing company, I am very selective on who I refer my clients to because if my client has a bad experience with them, it will somehow reflect back on me. I found Tap To Eat online when researching mobile deployment and online POS' for a few of my restaurant customers.

We do not handle orders specifically for Restaurant owners but wanted to find a reputable company that I can easily transfer the business to and trust that it wouldn't boomerang back to me. After speaking with the sales manager about my unique position, I originally send them 3 customers to make sure they will produce what has been promised. Over the last year I have referred dozens of clients and not one has complained back to me and seem very happy with their services.

What I like the best about Tap To Eat, is that you do not need to be a web expert to utilize their product.

Review: Dear Mr. [redacted] I am writing to you because what I requested in our call, has not been done up to this day. The best your company has done so far, was calling to show me what has been done on the tap to eat page, and that is simply, not good enough. On an email to [redacted] dated 7/11/14 almost three weeks ago, I told him to reverse the charge and I did not wanted to proceed with the service until I had a written and verbal apology for the rude, insulting and mocking way I was treated by this individual Mr. [redacted].Although I did send the cancelled check and ask not to go ahead without the apology my account was charged one more time. It seems to me, that I was not taken seriously and I dont like it. I want to cancel the service immediately and I want my money back all $350.00 dollars no deductions at all, considering that as a customer, I had been mistreated, ignored and not cared for. I have already instructed my bank to place a stop payment to prevent you from charging my account anymore. If this is the way your company conducts business and takes care of a valid complaint, I do not wish to be your customer anymore. Thank you for your time and I hope you take care of this in a professional and business like way.Desired Settlement: I want to cancel the service immediately and I want my money back all $350.00 dollars no deductions at all

5/13/2015Attn: [redacted]RE: Compliant #[redacted]RESPONSE:Mr. V[redacted] specifically states that “Calling to show me what has been done on thetap to eat page, and that is simply, not good enough.” What Mr V[redacted] has failed torecognize in his complaint is that our software is a platform that our clients controlthemselves. At any time Mr. V[redacted] could control his outcome and success of thesystem. The client has requested a refund even though the product and services we offerhave been delivered to the client. We request that the client contact us and allow us to walk him through every step heneeds to complete in order to successfully run his software.Additionally, once the client requested to cancel his service we discontinued billingand we waived his cancellation fees associated with cancellation.Regards,Tap To Eat Managment

Beware of this company. They are running a scam business and belong in jail. They are now using the name Grub Labs to avoid detection in order to continue stealing customer’s money. Everyone needs to call the Orange County District Attorney, the CA Attorney General and the FTC or they will continue to scam hard working customers. Don’t just sit back when you can do something to help the situation.

I want to start a class action lawsuit against them if you are interested email me at

Review: We signed up for services w/Tap To Eat on 3/26/2014. At the time we asked the Sales Rep if the Program was refundable, should we change our mind, or not be able to host it. The sales Rep reassured us it was 100% refundable should we decide the Program was not right for our business. Due to hardships at our restaurant, and a tragedy in our personal life, we were unable to launch & host the Tap to Eat Services. Upon asking for a Full Refund, we were declined stating that they could not refund anything, including set up fees for services that were not rendered. Additionally they continued to electronically withdraw funds from our bank, even after we requested to be removed from the Program. After speaking to several Reps at their Company, sending e-mails to explain our hardships, and requesting a full refund, which we were promised by a Customer Service rep named [redacted] we finally decided to file a complaint.Desired Settlement: We would like a full Refund for all set up fees ($299) and monthly payments ($99 x 2 months) for services we did not launch and never used.

Response:

Unfortunately I am NOT in receipt of any software or other support from TAP TO EAT. My sales rep ([redacted]) re-assured me that my package was 100% refundable if I did not find satisfaction AT ANY TIME. When I called him, he no longer worked for the Company. He gave me the Customer Service number, of which I had numerous conversations asking for a refund of the Set up ($299) and the monthly fees they subsequently took from my bank~ $99 /mo on 3/26 & 4/16 & 9/8. I was told the monthly service did not start until the account went LIVE but... the account was never activated- we never used the services, we never bought the hardware to install at the restaurant, we never hooked up on Wi-Fi (even to this date) we were gathering info on HOW to set up the services when we asked to be removed from the process. My sales rep also told me there was no contract and no monthly service fee. Everything about this process was presented in a way that seems Bait & Switch. Perhaps someone at Tap to Eat can explain how I am charged for services I never received.

Response:

Hi [redacted]I am sorry about your experience with your sales Rep. We are constantly monitoring and improving our selling tactics. When you electronically signed your service paperwork your license was active to use the software. The following is a link to your mobile ordering [redacted] We are unable to refund your setup because we already did all the work. I would like to invite you to use your app and web ordering and we would be happy to credit you for any months that you were not using the platform. Please call me directly at [redacted] and I would be happy to work with you and resolve your issue. I will try to reach out to you today and resolve this issue.[redacted]

Review: Ocober of 2015 was contacted by Taptoeat, they said they can build me a mobile ordering app with no obligation and no contract. Pay as you go. After seeing the rough draft of the work they can do, we called and cancelled the service. I said we are not interested anymore. They did not tell me I had to send an email.

my bank account is now being charged a monthly fee. I called to have this resolved and to get my money back. they said they only suspended my account and not cancelled it. And they will not refund me the money they stold from my accountDesired Settlement: cancel the service and refund the money

Review: Check their [redacted] reviews. They are a fraudulent company that has scammed several businesses. They owe me over $500.00.

They promised a refund but never delivered on that promise. They never provided any service and violated their contract.Desired Settlement: a full refund of monies owed.

I am one of those companies that was taken for a ride.

I am sick to my stomach that tap to eat is so wrong to all these people, and the Revdex.com let this go on. I have been promised for the last four months that there working on my web page this has not happen. I been promised by one of the owners that he would get back to me that was one of 30 empty promises to fix my web page. The amount is $500.00 and some thing, I get money pulled out of my account for the last 4 months. No more I put a stop to that. I AM SICK HELP!

Review: This company has not provided any of the services promised. We did not start the program and was not going to start until they had 'some' of the services their sales people told us they had and in fact they did not have them (like their rewards program). We paid $249 to get started under the assumption that the monthly fee would not start until we gave them the OK. This was speifically discussed with them. They hit our CC for $79 in Sept and it took them 6 weeks or more to refund. They hit us again and that took 4 weeks to refund. We do not want their service and want a refund of $249 and they will not return our calls or emails.Desired Settlement: $249 refund as when we signed up they did not offer the services we were told they would have

Review: We signed up for TapToEat to Build/Run our mobile and online ordering platform for our company. The agreement was that we would be up and running in 30days. It has been 5 months. We have sent multiple e-mails, phoned over 30 times. Our most recent attempt to contact them ended with us sending certified letters asking for a refund of all money taken from us. Even after they received our two certified letters they will still not respond to us.Desired Settlement: We would like a refund of out set-up fee, because nothing was ever set-up for us and a refund of the monthly service changes, because no services were ever rendered.

Response:

5/13/2015 Attn: [redacted] RE: Compliant # [redacted] RESPONSE:We have communicated with Mr. [redacted] of Brushfire BBQ on many occasions as he states in his original complaint. In some of those communications we explained to Mr. [redacted] that per the terms of our agreement we are building him a mobile app and that for the app to be up and running within 30 days was not our actual claim. We did refund Mr. [redacted] in full based on his statement that he would continue with our service as a client if we did so. Tap To Eat has since completed Brushfire BBQ’s app and it is ready to be submitted on the Apple App store. Even though we refunded Mr. [redacted] in full, we still completed his software application at no charge. We regret this complaint as our services have been rendered in full even without any revenue from the client. Regards, Tap To Eat Managment

Review: My colleague (who is no longer with our company) received a cold call for an online ordering platform for our restaurants. At the time, we were intrigued because he promised us full integration with both types of point of sale software that we run in our three restaurants. We paid an initial fee of $1988 on August 8th, 2014. Over 3 months later, after additional investigation and inquiries I found out that they never had these integration capabilities. Additionally no work has been done to build these capabilities. Furthermore, they began billing us $255/mo even though no sites have been set up for us (specifically 9/8/14, 10/6/14, 11/6/14). I have attempted calling several times and continue getting the run around about the project being escalated, but on the last call they admitted they had still done nothing. Efforts to obtain a refund have been ignored, so I am now seeking the assistance of the Revdex.com.Desired Settlement: Seeking refund of $2753.

Review: On 5/29/15 I listened to a sales pitch from [redacted] regarding on line menu ordering for my restaurant. We were told the company’s name was Grub Labs and they were partners with Google. We agreed to purchase their product for a set up fee of $399 and $89 dollars per month for service once the program started which was quoted to take 5 business days. After over 30 days and no less than 5 deadlines missed by this company we cancelled our agreement. They were unable to properly build the on-line menu ordering platform as promised. This company drafted our bank account for $577 (set up fee and two months of service) and will no longer return my calls or emails regarding a refund. After further investigation we found this company's legal name is actually Tap to Eat and they are dba Grub Labs in order to avoid customers reading about their "F" rating with the Revdex.com and the numerous complaints on line. Additionally they represented themselves as partners with Google which is not accurate and they are in violation of trademark infringement for their false statements making us think they were Grub Hub who is the actual leader in this industry. Our agreement was to purchase an online menu ordering system which would be live in 5 business days. They were never able to produce the product we purchased in a reasonable amount of time and they charged us for 2 months of service for something that was never available. This company is selling a product they can not deliver, over charging it's customers, using different company names to avoid negative reputation,s and illegally representing itself as other companies and partners of other companies. In addition to the Revdex.com, the Federal Trade Commission should be notified as well to protect future consumers of this scam.Desired Settlement: We request a full refund of $577.

Review: Got charged $299 and $89 for a website and monthly fee ... the site is not live since 7/24/15 and there is no replay from my phone calls or emails.

The company I signed the contract is Grublasbs, but "Tap to eat" charged my bank account.Desired Settlement: they need to refund my money, because I requested the cancellation in 4 days after signing, website is not live until today and no one is able to place orders online

Review: We selected them to do the advertisement and order line for our deli in Shakopee, MN. The set up from the beginning was terrible. After month of fail services, we canceled the products and the services with them. we received the cancellation confirmation email, but they still draft the payment fee from our banking account as today. When we called them, they said the services was never completely and gave us run around.

taking someone's else money is a fraud after the cancellation of service in book.Desired Settlement: They must put the cancellation through and complete the cancellation processing and stop drafting the money from our banking account.
