Apartments

Rite Rug Flooring was not contracted to remove and reinstall the baseboards on this purchase The customer was to remove the baseboards prior to the installation of the new laminate floor and reinstall their baseboards after the installation The day of the scheduled installation,
the customer did not remove their baseboards Therefore, the installer was only able to install the laminate flooring up to their baseboards Than it is the responsibility of the customer to install a quarter round molding to finish the job Laminate flooring cannot be installed under baseboards after they are already attached to the wall. Rite Rug's Store Manager met with Mrs*** today and explained this situation to her Rite Rug offered to install new quarter round molding at a discounted labor & material cost

Hi, wanted the chance to update the complaint #***Rite Rug has completed the installation to my satisfactionA very bumpyand drawn out misadventure, but customer service did everything possible tomake it happen. Thanks

Rite Rug's Customer Service Department is in contact with the customer on the issue of the black shoe mold Regretfully, we do not carry black shoe molding As a consumer goodwill gesture, we will locate this custom color shoe molding and schedule an installation

Rite Rug contracted with *** Builders on this address. We have been in contact with the builder on the issues and we are working to schedule the replacement and repairs

In response to your inquiry on 10/29/2015 "*** ***r mentions in his correspondence of that the floor is not level." Our position is: Rite Rug installs the new flooring over the customer's existing flooring. We do not make structure repairs or leveling to the existing flooring. The new floor is installed directly over the existing flooring and will follow the levelness. According to *** ***r's report: "Observation shows that in areas between the entrance to the kitchen/Great Room that there is a raised area over a beam visible in the basement." If this condition was present prior to the new flooring installation this is the customer's responsibility. We were only contracted to install the new flooring. *** ***r's report also states: "On initial distribution inspection the Rh was notes at 67%, a dehumidifier was recommended." This high Rh (moisture/humidity) factor may have caused the "raised area over the beam". Rite Rug extends a month installation warranty and this flooring is year past the warranty

I have returned the merchandise to Gene and I asked for a receipt however was informed that he could not give me any since the purchase was done before 15days and that he would just do a follwith the refinancing company for price adjustmentWe did a follcalls for him after that and there was no adjustment done on the amount that we have paid

Rite Rug's position is unchanged from our response dated 3/11/2015. The additional charges are for "sf Vct take up an prep" as stated on the signed work order on "4/17/15" by *** *** (copy emailed to your office). There was considerable prep, floor leveling/subfloor issues and extensive rip out needed to make the floors acceptable for the new installation of materials. The installer had his labor bill signed for on the property the day of the installation. Here is a copy of the signed work order by Doug Wilson for the additional labor charges. Thank you,

Rite Rug Company will cover the costs of the grout repairs. Repairs are scheduled for January

I reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and find the resolution is satisfactory to meThey have set up a finishing date however, have not offered any compensation whatsoever Am awaiting offer
Regards,

The flooring contract on this home is with *** Company, not *** *** Our labor warranty is for months from the date of the installation, on warranty related items Rite Rug inspectors and repairmen have been at this home on numerous dates, starting on2/18/ The
homeowner requested we start repairs the week of March 21- Rite Rug has been out to the home on numerous times on scheduled appointments with no one home A list can be provided of dates/times, if needed from March to June June 23, repairs were completed and the homeowner signed our "Customer Service Form" This forms stated that the work was completed and done to the customer's satisfaction The homeowner called our office later in the afternoon and stated the installer's did not complete the work she wanted Another service call was scheduled for June 28, our repairman arrived at the home on the scheduled day and again no one was home Due to the number of missed scheduled appointments, by the homeowner, we informed them we will not schedule any future appointments on additional items until we are reimbursed for our trip charges

10/9Rite Rug's Customer Service Technician is scheduled to install baseboard and shoe molding on 10/

Please see attached letter and copies of invoices explaining our position. Your help with this matter is appreciated

Rite Rug regrets,  we were not able to reach a mutual agreement in this matter.  As a consumer goodwill gesture, Rite Rug would like propose the following resolution: Rite Rug will issue a full refund to Mr. [redacted] Discover Credit Card with Mr. [redacted] keeping the carpet and padding at no charge.  If this is agreeable, we will send Mr. [redacted] a Claims Release Form along with a Credit Card Refund Authorization Form.   Upon receipt of both signed forms to our office this matter would be closed. Barb R[redacted]

Rite Rug sincerely apologizes for the inconvenience this delay caused.  Our Customer Service Department processed the refund in the amount of $200.00 for the quarter round.

I am rejecting this response because: Yes we spoke to Rite Rug 1/31 but never asked for them to only respond 2/6. We were asked for photos which we sent. We were then asked for additional photos for the supervisor to review. Additional photos were sent 2/1. We have not gotten a response back.My issue with Rite Rug is not that they are not responding, the issue is that they are clearly not able to fix the ongoing issues. They have attempted to fix this issues 6 times. That means 6 times I have had a mess made in my bathroom, 6 times I have not been able to use my shower in a house that is only 3 months old.
Regards,
[redacted]

In response to this complaint, which our office received on 1/4/2016.  This contract was with [redacted] in 2014.  After Rite Rug contacted 2 independent companies that specialize in grout restorations.  We will offer to pay one third of  the  costs of...

the restoration,  with the home builder and the home owner, Mr. [redacted].
