Unfortunately, we must send any item with questions of validity to the publisher for verification In these cases, we are unable to control the amount of time it takes to receive the items back In the case that the item is not able to be verified, the publisher does not send the item back and it becomes property of the Rightful publisher We apologize about the delay, as soon as we hear back from the publisher we will release payment given your items are valid copies.Thank you

Revdex.com:I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to meAlthough my issue was not with the lowered payment due to being a day late, my issue is that they did not abide by the timing of the paymentTheir website states payment via paypal will take 3-daysI called and emailed numerous times and was unsuccessful at getting in contact with anyone for almost monthsI was concerned that I had been scammedI will accept the original payment arrangement and am thankful that the Revdex.com was able to help successfully make contact with the company!Sincerely, *** ***

I am rejecting this response because: This is
what they keep saying, the books sent to them are the same as always and it has been over the required time limitAnyone should be able to tell the difference especially if this is a repeat customer
Sincerely,

Apologies about any confusion Notes in your order clearly state that we received damaged items, this is in direct violation of our Terms and Conditions We provide returns for customers who notify us within hours, but unfortunately, it sounds as though the original automated email
may have been been missed We no longer have the items to return, and are unable to release funds for these items because they were received damaged. Thank you,Customer Service

Complaint: ***
There were three orders: ***, ***, ***. Also, how do I know you sent them to the publisher and the books were counterfeit? You would need to provide some kind of documentation from the publisher because you can say that you sent them to the publisher and not really do thatI contacted you all multiple times and you all ignored my emails. Sincerely,

We regret that our customer’s buyback order has not been a smoother and more satisfying experienceAs we indicated both on the phone and in emails, we understand both her frustration with this transaction as well as her concern that we would not “make it right” for her
From our perspective, the
issue is quite straightforwardWe offered an online quote of $for a single copy of ISBN 9780763863104, Our Digital WorldRather than receiving that text with that unique ISBN, we received a very similar book, Our Digital World: Introduction to Computing, with ISBN Per our agreed-upon Buyback Terms and Conditions, we require an exact match to pay the quoted price for a bookSince we were currently paying $for the book we received, ISBN 9780763863029, we paid *** that amount
Per our multiple contacts with her, we explained why we paid her the amount that we did, and given her dissatisfaction with our determination and the amount paid for the book we received, we offered to return her book. We state in our Buyback Terms and Conditions that we do not return books when books received are not exact matches or are in unacceptable conditionAs a courtesy, we offered to waive that stated policy and return *** bookHowever, we said that in order to do so, we would require her to cover the shipping and handling costs associated with returning her bookOur customer objected to that offer and decided to file her Revdex.com complaintAs I told her when we spoke on August 26th, we would continue to hold her book for days in the event she wished to have her book returnedThe check that was mailed to her may be returned to us if she wishes to remit the necessary funds to have her book returned
We regret that the complainant feels that we acted wrongly or would sell her “stolen” propertyPlease let us know if there is any additional information we can provide, or if we can in any way facilitate the process.Thank you

Good Afternoon,As outlined in our terms and conditions, we are unable to accept water damaged items.  We notified you on May 3rd that your item was not valid for sale because of the water damage and held the book for 72 hours as a courtesy.  Thank you,  Customer service

Your items were returned to the publisher for verification.  These items were never returned to us, therefore we are unable to submit payment.  It is at the publishers discretion, whether they deem it necessary to take legal action.  Unless items are returned from the publisher we...

have no further action we can take with Unauthorized copies like these. Thank you,Customer Service

Complaint: [redacted]I am rejecting this response because:
According to your records that you have shared with me, the book ’South-Western Federal Taxation, 2016 Edition, Individual Income Taxes’ was the exact same item entered as received. I copied both ISBN numbers directly off of the books, you have never claimed an issue with this tax textbook's ISBN number. Therefore, the quote for this book remains valid per your terms and conditions.Your attempt at returning the book left it in terrible condition, leaving me no option to resell. This makes it unacceptable, because you significantly damaged the item and reduced the value of the book.Unfortunately returning this book that you caused to decline in value does not remedy the situation, therefore does not resolve this complaint. I need to be paid the full offer I accepted for ’South-Western Federal Taxation, 2016 Edition, Individual Income Taxes.' Sincerely,[redacted]

Revdex.com,
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
If you wrote it, then you are responsible for paying me the difference. Kindly do that as this is breaching of contract. If you email stating that I am being paid $150.26, I did not sell my other book which I could have gotten more money to meet my needs.Kindly pay me for the difference either in format of store credit or check.
Regards,
[redacted]

Apologies, as we have no way of altering the information our customers enter into our system.  Only the user has the ability to alter email and address/ payment preference for both parties security.  Thank you, Customer Service.

I am rejecting this response because:
It is quite obvious you are not willing to help or provide useful customer support. I read through your terms and even your classification for each condition of a used book to make sure mine  was adequate. I went through the entire book before sending it in and there was no water damage, only a couple pages wrinkled/worn from use and some pencil marks opposite the spine. College students already get used enough for massive textbook prices which can only be resold at a maximum of 1/4 the price no matter the condition, adding this is not something I want to do. I just want to be able to afford my books for next year.
Sincerely,
[redacted]

We apologize. This was our mistake. The customer has been paid via [redacted] in full as of May 25th.

Revdex.com,
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me. It's just unfortunate that I had to open a case on here for a response as I received no response and only rude remarks via email. Thank you

John,I am very sorry that your refund was not issued in a timely manner, and the inconvenience of having to contact us multiple times to no good effect. There were irregularities in our system and how your rental was processed, and we take full responsibility for both the error and the delay. I just...

initiated full refunds of both your rental extension fees as well as the non-returned rental charge. Typically, refunded charges are processed within 1-3 business days, so please let us know if you do not see the funds back on your credit card by October 9th at the latest.Again, I am sorry that we mishandled your order.Thank you.DonaldCustomer Servicetextbookrecycling.com

Complaint: [redacted]I am rejecting this response because:
Hello TextbookRecycling,

I would like to apologize for my delayed response, as I have been out of the country and unable to respond to any messages.

First of all, I was in Spain without a working phone number so it is blatantly false that we have spoken on the phone like you claimed in your response.

Secondly, my request for remedy due to the breached contract has not been met. I received the package with the textbook ’South-Western Federal Taxation, 2016 Edition, Individual Income Taxes’ when I returned home, and in addition to the decline in value due to the passage of time, the condition of the book has significantly declined because of rough handling on your end.

I have photographs to show the haphazard repackaging of the book, including torn pages and additional holes where it looks like your handler stabbed new holes in the pages rather than putting the prongs through the existing punches.

I continue to assert that when I sent the books they were in like-new condition with all pages (including the front and back covers). In the current condition, I am not able to sell the books again for the same value.

I have received the check to the amount of $25.20, but I still have not deposited it due to the fact that the amount is not correct. I still need to be paid the remainder of what the offer that I accepted was in order for this sales contract to be completed.
 Sincerely,[redacted]

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.
I appreciate getting the book back. There was barely noticable water damage on the back cover only to the book. I had to look pretty hard to notice it. I do think your company is committing some kind of scam activity and Revdex.com should look further into this company. I would not be surprised if a class action law suit is in your future.
Sincerely,

Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because: I have photos of the textbook I sent you. Clearly, the textbook you sent me back was NOT the textbook in MINT condition that I sent. The textbook you sent me was in an appalling condition. I would be more than glad to send the photos of the book I originally sent you, and now of the destroyed book you sent me that obviously wasn't my original copy.Furthermore, there are inconsistencies in your scam: you claimed that the book had water damage yet there was no visible water damage, there was only excessive highlighting and writing on the pages. My book had no highlighting at all! It was new. To further support my case, on the back of my book there are now bristles and glue (that were not there before), which supports my claim that my book was rebound. Also, the inside of the hardcover and the pages do not match. The inside cover is clearly new but the pages in the book are multiple years old. This is yet further supporting evidence for my claim. As a final example, the book that I sent you had the pages properly attached to the spine of the book. When books are rebound it happens that the pages no longer properly attach to the spine, which is what I discovered in the book that you sent me. This is my final offer before I pursue further action with law enforcement: If you could please send me a check for $36, that I was supposed receive for this NEW book. Thank you very much for your understanding and time, and I hope that you do not inconvenience me or other customers in the future.
Sincerely,
[redacted]
