I forwarded the complaint to the local office and received the below response: [redacted] contacted my office yesterday and I was at her house within an hour of talking to her to inspect her driveway It does look like we may have been responsible for the crack in her driveway I told her I would file the claim and start trying to find a contractor to make the repair She seemed satisfied and did not mention her complaints She also did not mention the $"penalty".Brian ***Davey Tree [redacted] office [redacted] cell Thank you!

Mike V [redacted] has spoke with Mrs [redacted] on site Mrs [redacted] was unaware that the plants needed to be "dead headed" so future blooms could grow Mike showed Mrs [redacted] the new buds forming and that just because the plants are not in constant flower does not mean they're dying They also discussed the watering requirements

I am rejecting this response because: The statements made are not true The police asked me to allow them to continue using my driveway for access to finish my neighbor's work and I kindly allowed it I was not directing them on how to do their work as being a professional engineer, I know better than do thatI simply noted that what they already did did not workI will accept the settlement of half fee, but the other half has to be considered compensation for the damaged plants and they should clean up the mess they left behindIncluding cutting the damaged limb Thanks

Below is the email response I received from the Account Manager: I explained to Mr [redacted] that we had set an appointment with his neighbor to work a tree on the property across the street from his We had arranged to park in his neighbors driveway while doing the work but at the last minute the customer asked us to park on the street because her car was in the driveway She has a child that is handicapped and was unable to move her vehicle as arranged The crew staged the equipment across from Mr [redacted] ’s residence on private property owned by the customer where we were trimming the tree The main issue with Mr [redacted] ’s compliant was that the crew did not immediately move the equipment but once he realized we were working there he understood why we did not immediately move the equipment I provided Mr [redacted] with my cell number to contact me directly if he had any additional issues concerning Davey Tree in the futureIn addition we will be holding a safety meeting in each yard concerning properly addressing concerned customers in the field and reporting any issues to supervision immediately Please let me know if you need any additional information from my end and have a pleasant eveningThanks,Sean S [redacted] | Account ManagerThe Davey Tree Surgery CompanyP: [redacted] ext***C: [redacted]

Please see the attached response from the field.To whom it may concern,This letter is in reference to complaint id number [redacted] with the Revdex.com.Let me preface this by saying that the client in question was a current client when I transferred to this office in October of to take the place of another representative that was transferred to an out of state office My first dealings with Mrs [redacted] were shortly after I started at this officeI was notified by phone or email that she was not happy with one of her trees that was planted along with other plant material on 5/21/under proposal [redacted] Her complaint was that one of the trees (Katsura tree) was not doing wellI visited the property sometime after being notified of the dissatisfaction to inspect the tree in questionAlthough the tree was still alive it was not in great shape and I made the call that we would replace the tree for free under our warranteeAt some point before the tree was replaced Mrs [redacted] had contacted me stating that she thought the front plantings of PJM Rhododendron were in need of one more like plant to fill in the area betterI happily sent over a proposal to complete the install and after some back and forth she agreed for us to install additional plant under proposal The installation of the additional PJM and the replacement of the Kastura tree was completed on 11/9/15.As the fall turned to winter there was some conversation of pruning work on various trees throughout the propertyThis work was contracted and completed on 1/7/under proposal This has nothing to do with the complaint other than the price of $stated in the complaint was actually from the tree pruning that was not on any new plant material.Fast forward to this summer when on 7/14/I received an email about one of the original PJMs having issuesKeep in mind this is over a year from the original planting and outside of the warrantee periodI visited the property on 7/18/and relayed my findings to Mrs [redacted] On 7/22/there was a response where she expressed her frustrations and asked if our company would do anythingAt that time I responded that I would see what I could doOn 08/15/I received another email saying that the PJM directly next to the now dead plant was also not looking healthy and possibly headed down the same pathI obliged and said that I would look at itI was not able to make it out that week because of my schedule being bookedThe following week I was scheduled to be out of the office, and had asked a colleague if he would swing by to look at the shrub if he was in the areaUpon me returning and following up, he was not able to do thisA day or two went by and my Manager called me into the office saying he had received a voice mail from Mrs [redacted] I explained the situation to him and he stated that he had tried to return the call two times with no successOn 9/2/I stopped by Mrs [redacted] s property to look at the situationI also tried to call her with no successI was going to send a follow up email to her the next business day but then received this complaint At the time of the first complaint even though the shrubs were out of warrantee we were willing to work with Mrs [redacted] in good faith, with the thought that a replacement should be planted in the fallAt this point we are not inclined to replace the shrubs for free If you have any questions or concerns please feel free to contact me at any time.Thank you,Kolby C [redacted] Sales Arborist Washington DC
