I really appreciate the Vitamin Shop as it allows me to purchase quality products at a more reasonable price than I can find in my town. Even with the shipping charge the prices are lower. It only takes about 3 business days to receive my order.

I have reviewed the response offer made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
Well, I guess that says it all for Mr. Huffman, and I quote.." done to the best of his abilities".  Well, as stated in the original complaint, my sidewalk has cracked in two places, completely across its width in less than 10 months.  It really was not because of Mr. Huffman's ability, but his desire or habit of short cutting his preparations  to save money,so as to enlarge his profit margin.  He did not dig out the proper foundation, and reinforce it with the proper size and amount of stone, he knows it, and I know it.  My neighbor saw it and he mentioned it and he is an engineer, so he should know about such things.  As for the step that he had to redo...he did not use the same technique to stain the concrete, or same materials. It was not done in the same manner, or washed of the following day, and this Mr. Huffman knows..so if he does not as he so stated want to deal with me, he can deal with the Contractor's Licensing Board.

I have ben using the Vitamin Shop for over 10 years and think they are a fantastic company. Always come on time and all new products never close to the expiry date. I can't say enough about them.

I have been a customer of The Vitamin Shop since I first arrived in Victoria in 1991.
It is a very well run health establishment that not only offers the best supplements available but also offers lectures that are of interest to the public. I might add that these lectures are always well attended. The lectures are varied and given by various health providers. I myself have attended most of these lectures and found them to be informative and beneficial.

The Staff of The Vitamin Shop are all very professional with an excellent knowledge of the products in the facility. Their expertise is what makes my visits a positive experience. Add to that a Floor Manager who is always smiling and eager to help you makes one welcome. It is no wonder that the rest of the staff too are very congenial and ready to offer the best customer service ever.

Customer service is important. I am happy to say that I have always been waited on promptly. If I had doubts about a product it was always explained to me in a professional manner and at times making a call to the manufacturer to verify.
This is going the "extra mile".

I have been shopping at the Vitamin Shop for the past 23 yrs and would like to say what a wonderful business they are. Their staff is well trained, knowledgeable and efficient. I used to shop in store but because of their location, getting a parking spot is just about impossible. I now shop online and I still get the same great service. concrete from cracking by the processes we use, however we cannot guaranty cracks may not appear.  He approved the proposal for$3000. My usual terms are 10% to get scheduled,40% due at start, and the final 50% due upon completion. I should have known this customer would be a problem when he renegotiated stating he really wanted me to do the work , but could only pay $1000 a month for the next three months.I told him we were SEVERAL weeks out with our work knowing that after 24 years in this profession weather conditions dictate when you start an outdoor job. He wanted a stamped concrete sidewalk similar to one in hisneighborhood which I tried to discourage for several reasons; the stamp textures are random, colors are not always consistent, the design he wanted was a random stone that has an uneven texture and the surface can be challenging to walk on for anyone, especially an older person, and can be difficult to clear away snow. The old sidewalk lay flat across his yard, and had numerous cracks, some due to large tree roots growing underneath. The sidewalk met his driveway which is very steep and does not lie perpendicular to the walk. The yard has a difficult slope to work with where it meets the driveway and was challenging because of thedriveway slope. The upper side step riser had to be a different height than the lower side because of this. Having more steps would have cut into the grade of the yard and retaining wall. I installed one step down to a short apron that met the driveway. This was, I explained, the most efficient way to do this work. I applied the stamp pattern using all necessary powder color and powder release to complete the job. The walk was properly formed, with two rows of steel rebar lengthwise every four feet across. There was enough gravel base put down and 3500 mix small stone poured and screeded (leveled). The integral color was walnut with charcoal color release. The stamp was Ashlar Slate, and was properly installed. We poured and stamped the walk. The next day I washed away the color powder to clean concrete. We sawcut control joints the following day, and clear sealed with a solvent sealer completing the job. He then called complaining about the height of the step. I explained again why we formed the step as such, but he insisted we change it and refused to pay the final $1000 payment until it was redone as two steps. I agreed to take out the end of the walk reforming it as two steps, for which he agreed to pay an additional $200. We had to sawcut the concrete, jackhammer it out, form, pour, and attempt to match the original color and texture. I was never paid the final $200 and didn't pursue to collect because I had dealt with enough of his difficulty and arrogance.In conclusion, we did everything properly, even going out of our way to correct what he considered an issue with the step. There's never a guarantee against concrete cracking. I feel this individual cannot be satisfied and should find another contractor who will do work for him.
