I was the Vitamin Shop's first ever mail-order customer. My first order would have been placed in late 1980's, with shipping overseas where I would have paid more than 4 times the individual product cost, compared to a Vitamin Shop postal package (even after shipping, customs and exchange fees). This was prior to the internet. Over the years, the mail order component has grown from a few packages taken to Canada Post in a shopping cart, to a web-based international operation.

Service has always been prompt. Where deliveries could not be met, items were first back-ordered. Now with computer-based inventory control, this is streamlined to show available inventory for that item, with the customer re-ordering as needed. I have also experienced manufacturer-based product issues, which were resolved and credited.

Vitamin Shop's website design is clear and user-friendly. I appreciate the Vitamin Shop's option to submit credit card data by phone/voice. I am ultra-aware of data insecurity when financial or personal data is transmitted over the internet -- Vitamin Shop began operations before "hacker" was a word, let alone what it now is -- a lucrative industry.
