Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below Thank you for assisting on this matterI have been in contact with customer service representative :" [redacted] "The offer that the company has furnished me with does not address my complaintThey have explained to me that the reason why they did not contact me, or fulfill my warranty was because I did not furnish them with a "phone number"This is despite the fact that they have had my email address and residency for nearly months while my product was not functioningThey have now advised me that they will only adhere to a strict reading of the current state of the warranty, which only allows for the company to furnish "parts" and not laborThey have advised me that where I purchased my generator was only a authorized "sales" outlet and not a dealer(home Depot) Therefore they did not do a "start up" of the generator, which would have given me coverage for parts and laborApparently, this is where you pay the dealership to go out to the unit and press the "start" buttonWe explained that we have strict building codes in NJ and that the "start up" was observed by a code officerFurthermore, the unit functioned flawlessly for a year, and that negates the "start up" as a cause of failureThey have also advised me that they will not extend my warranty (even for parts), for the amount of time that they ignored my requests (over months) and my generator sat idle and unusedSo, essentially, they are going to ignore all of their wrongdoing in this matterI feel that I have asked for a very simple fixSimply have a tech check my unit, and repair it under warrantyI have also asked that they extend the warranty for the months where they ignored my requests for serviceI have also noted that on the last oil change, there was a significant amount of metal in the oilTheir literature suggests that the engine could be damaged by not allowing the "exercise cycle" to be performed weeklyIt is plausible that the non-functioning of the unit for months has led to this secondary problem Regards, [redacted] ***

I can empathize with your concerns, I disagree with your conclusions involving
the sink in that it should not be sold; the sinks are defective; and Kohler’s
offer to assist is inadequate
Kohler
Cotakes every reasonable effort to share information about all our products
in order to educate our distributors, retail showrooms and our residential
homeownersKohler’s website includes full color photos, product descriptors
and product specification sheets available to allDistributors/Retail Showrooms
are provided with a wealth of information in order to educate and promote the
Kohler productThese are just two of the many options our customers have to
learn more about Kohler productsFor these reasons, Kohler can proudly offer
this sink for our customers
To
date, all communication tends to indicate the three sinks installed are not
meeting your needs due being able to see through themThe sink is advertised as
a glass sinkWith glass having various degrees of translucency, it would be
important to either see the sink installed or have the sink inspected before
installation is completeTranslucency does not make the sink defective
Our
assistance of a credit letter and a labor cost allowance is up and above what
might typically be offered in situations such as thisWe believe the offer of
a three sink credit and a $labor allowance is gracious in that it gives alternative
options though the sinks are not a warranty issue and are not meeting your
needsWith respect, the provided credit
letter and the set amount assistance with labor is the extent Kohler can assist
you with this matter

The sinks are not fit to be sold as bathroom sinks by Kohler and BlackmanThere are three open issues in regard to Kohler:1- the replacement of the three sinks2- the costs of removing the three sinks currently installed including potential damage to the vanities3- the plumbing expenses associated with the installation of the new sinksKohler's representative in NY was given the opportunity to exam the sinks. I hope that an amenable resolution of Kohler's involvement is still possibleHowever, at this point there is no resolution and this is an adversary situation
