Buyers Beware (The Money Source and Better Mortgage)
BUYERS BEWARE OF THE MONEY SOURCE AND BETTER MORTGAGE!

I rarely write reviews even when there is horrible customer service but this company is an exception as they are committing fraud as well!

I got a mortgage through Better Mortgage who is affiliated with The Money Source from my understanding (not better... trust me as the mortgage process is a nightmare and a joke with stupid questions such as...how are you able to work remotely?). After MONTHS working to try and close an extremely simple refinance on a loan of $267,000 with an appraised value of over $500,000 on the home / excellent credit / six figure income, etc., the loan was finally completed in mid November of 2020 (what a joke spending over a hundred hours between waiting for and speaking with customer service representatives, answering really stupid questions that have nothing to do with the loan, and sending in a ridiculous amount of documentation).

After signing closing documents is when the real HELL starts however. First off, Better Mortgage did the closing documents for the Title Company wrong which sent all of our property tax funds to the Lender instead of the Title Company. After many phone calls to the lender, Title Company, and taxing districts with numerous added hours of time..., our Title company (American Title) was finally able to get the funds back from the lender and ended up getting the taxes paid. We thought the problems were over but they had really just begun. The Money Source took over the servicing of our loan and we had a payment due at the 1st of January, 2021. On November 28th, 2020 I got access to their online site and immediately scheduled a payment for the 1st of January 2020. About a week or so after the payment was scheduled online I got a notice that my loan was being transferred to a new mortgage service (what i[censored] takes on the servicing of the loan then immediately transfers it (its ALL about the MONEY and FRAUD). I immediately called The Money Source (a freaking waste of hours upon hours of time) to see what to do as I had already scheduled a payment. I was told to cancel the payment which I tried to do on their online system numerous times and it gave me error messages each time. The representative apologized for the MASSIVE headache of their faulty systems and assured me everything was cancelled on their end and a payment would not go out to them. After I hung up I got online to make sure my bank information and payment was cancelled (as I didn't want a payment going out to a lender on Jan. 1st, 2021 that was not going to service my loan anymore as of December 31st, 2020). After several days, my bank information and payment were still showing up on my online account (even though it showed I successfully deleted them various times). I again called and called (several times and wasted numerous hours with uneducated representatives giving the same response that everything was deleted but their servers don't update until the evening so it wouldn't show that it was cancelled until the next day (B.S.). I asked each time for confirmation that my bank information was deleted and the payment was cancelled but got the same damn response which was beyond frustrating as I knew it was never deleted after honestly logging into their faulty system over 20 times and still seeing it. I made one final phone call prior to Jan. 1st in which supposedly they gave me a "supervisor" who after a ton more time...logged into "another system" and ASSURED me that all of my bank information was deleted and a payment would not be taken from my account. I logged into my bank account today (Jan. 6th, 2021) and guess what...The Money Source who I've spent more time talking to then most people would ever do, took a payment from my bank (Jan. 4th, 2021). It is FRAUD as I do not have a mortgage with this company anymore. I have spent hours today on the phone. The first time I called the lady (over another hour of verifying information and waiting, etc.) she said that a "head supervisor" was going to call me to get everything worked out and have the money refunded today. She said that if the call was dropped when she was making the transfer then she would immediately call me back (the call was dropped when she tried transferring me and I never got a call back). I tried calling this evening and got hung up on.

I am now ready to hire an attorney as I am finally smart enough to see that this company is a COMPLETE FRAUD or are SOOOOOO incompetent that they should NOT be in the mortgage business!

p.s. If you are an attorney reading this and have other claims / problems with this company then I would be happy to speak with and potentially work with you in taking legal action against this company as the world doesn't need more scammers out there. Ripped me off
I have a home loan through the Money Source. The have raised my payment three times in 3 years. I lowered my home insurance by over a $1500.00 and they raised it after that. It should have gone down. I have had a new analysis done and they still say my payment is needing to go higher. This makes no sense. I have contacted them repeatedly and they keep saying they will fix it ,then never do. I am so tired of this company. I do not recommend. I will get away from them as soon as possible.

The money source has terrible customer service and policy
The Money source purchased my loan from another lender, I set up an electronic bill pay account with my bank and the 1st two payments were received but the 3rd payment got lost in the mail somehow, the bank pays by mail when they can't transfer funds electronically, My bank showed the payment made and I shared this with the money source, while figuring out what happened they proceeded to post a negative payment report to the credit bureaus which has affected my score and they refuse to remove it. I have never been late with any payments to lenders with the exception of these i[censored] and I can't refinance quick enough to put them behind me and hope I never have to deal with them again, what they did should be criminal!

Revdex.com:Since I filed the initial complaint, I have received communication from "The Money Source" in the form of email, which included my in the email I only received this email after calling the money source and complaining that I had not yet received the paper copy that they had originally supposedly sent on ** January Further, it took three calls to the business for them to even offer emailing an electronic copy to me, the first two times they said there was no way for me to obtain an electronic copy since my account was paid in full It is now [redacted] February and I have still not received the paper copy of the Since I've received the electronic copy, I'd say this dispute is resolved, but I don't feel it should have taken calls and a week and a half to do so [redacted] ***

The verbiage which is annotated in the letter is accurateHowever, had the company conveyed these items versus me having to repeatedly call them because of their incompetency we would not be at the point of Revdex.com complaints

Dont ever hook to those offer they haveEspecially if from one of their loan agent name MAHISHT C [redacted] They want to process all paperwok fast without gathering the right information specially your property taxHe will give low property tax qoute so that your monthly mortgages is low and you get the loanThen once the loan was all done then thats the time you will be having a lot of issue and getting your mortgage rate go high to the cieling

Horrible,liars,not straight with clientsTms also messed up our property taxes,they did not redo our tax analysis at the end of for our taxes Which put us in the hole so farI am refinance with Jgw ,so my issue is being resolved before I'm in the hole any furtherTms tried to get my husband to refinance with them being dishonestThey told him it was not a refinance, they could just lower our payments because we have paid on time for monthsWhat! This is the worst mortgage company ever I wish another bank bought my mortgage but they didnt I received a shortage letter in the mail so I paid it well in my next payment they never accounted for it, so my payment was higher I even read to them my confirmation number I received after I paid my shortage, but still never fixed Then I get another shortage letter for a lot more money and after I call them, they realize its a mistake on their end(surprise surprise) and after a careful escrow analysis, they tell me it will be removed Well its been months now and it has not been removed and my payment was never adjusted and they are costing me more money now and they NEVER call anyone back like they promise This is the worst company to deal with and I am reporting them to the department of banking They are horrible
