NSHSS has given me a broader opportunity for Scholarships, college searches, and meeting new people. When I became an ambassador, I was exposed to people who were different and came from all parts of the world. I was able to learn so much from these people that I never would've known. I was able to make a new friends that I never thought I would! I am so grateful that I joined NSHSS.

Joining NSHSS has been one if the best decisions I've made this year. It's amazing to be connected with so many people that want to succeed and help each other grow. We are all able to shamelessly ask for advice and help with different topics. The facilitators are so kind and it is clear that they want the best for us. I'm very excited for the future endeavors that I will be apart of. If you are ever looking for a group of people that want to futher their education and that support each other, you need to join NSHSS! The opportunities you will encounter will be life changing!

I absolutely love NSHSS! The webinars they offer (for example, Resume Writing 101 and one on how to use social media to show your true self to college admissions officerssuper useful and I've heard great feedback from colleges after making the changes the organization suggested!) are so useful, and there are so many opportunities to get involved with the organization and network with other hard-working peers, such as through the Ambassador program!

I love NSHSS. I am currently an NSHSS Ambassador. I have been part of NSHSS for about a year now. I have had much fun doing Takeovers and being part of a very educated and well-maintained group. NSHSS offers individual membership connecting you to like-minded students around the world and access to exclusive benefits from high school, into college, and beyond. I am going to be starting my chapter for NSHSS at my school in the future.

Amazing!! I made a great decision when I accepted my invitation to nshss. I'm now a proud ambassador, and was instrumental in laying the ground for a future chapter at my school. I would advise anyone to join this amazing program. It is totally worth it!

Dear ***,

Thank you so much being an NSHSS Ambassador! Your leadership and active involvement speaks volume and we're so very Proud to have you as an NSHSS member. Please continue to enjoy the benefits of your lifetime membership and Congratulations on initiating the beginning steps of launching an NSHSS chapter at your school. We're here to support you!!

The National Society of High School Scholars is a great organization that has multiple benefits to its members. Scholarships, Webinars, and Test Prep opportunities are just some of them. Ambassadors of NSHSS have the opportunity to grow their leadership skills and help others within the society. It's not hard to join but it does have good benefits along the way.

Thank you so much for sharing your experience as a Member and an Ambassador. Please continue to enjoy the benefits of your lifetime membership with NSHSS.

I would like to have a refund of $75 that I paid for membership
I bought the $75 membership to the NSHSS, thinking it was an accredited organization akin to the National Honor Society. The whole organization is a scam. They claim they sent invitations to A+ students, however a lot of classmates who had gpa below 3.0/4.0 got invitations. I emailed their customer support and they replied that their refund policy is only 60 days. This period is very shot to realize this is a scam. They claim we can get scholarships. However, their scholarships only valued $500 and the requirements for the scholarships are insane. They claims members can apply for scholarship to their study abroad trips. However, members cannot apply for scholarship until after they sign up and pay deposit for study abroad program.

Desired Outcome

$75

The National Society of High School Scholars Response • Apr 03, 2020

Hi ***,

Membership with NSHSS is an individual membership and is not chartered through schools. Being an individual membership is what allows NSHSS to offer a continuity of benefits that extend after high school graduation, into college and beyond. Because it is based on the individual, not the school, it also means that membership remains with the student even if they transfer schools. It also means that any student who qualifies can be a member of NSHSS regardless of their location. Membership is for a lifetime and is not renewed annually.

NSHSS recognizes young scholars who have demonstrated excellence through their academic achievements based on objective criteria, including grades and test scores. Students must meet any one of the following criteria to be considered for membership:

3.5 Cumulative GPA (4.0 Scale) or higher (or equivalent such as 88 on a 100-point scale)
1280 SAT score or higher
1150 PSAT score or higher
26 ACT score or higher
Score 4 or higher on any AP exam
Total combined IB test scores of 36 or higher
IGCSE Grade A or higher
Top 10% rank in class

NSHSS and its partners offer more than $2,000,000 in scholarships annually. All students are eligible to apply for high school and college scholarships in the areas of academic excellence, entrepreneurship, leadership, literature, medicine, music, STEM, sustainability, visual arts, and more. The award amounts vary per scholarship up to $5000.

NSHSS government partners such as the CIA, offer high school scholars access to scholarships, study abroad programs, and meaningful careers. Our corporate and educational partners also assist our members with the college selection process, as well as financial planning, program scholarships, leadership development, and volunteerism.

Lastly, you accepted your membership July 28, 2014 and reached out to Member Services on March 30, 2020 requesting a refund. Our published refund policy is that you can cancel your membership at any time; however, to receive a refund, it must be within 60 days of joining. We have not had an interaction with you since 2014 and I truly wish you would have reached out to us sooner with any concerns that you had. You are still a member and therefore you're still receiving emails regarding NSHSS leadership programs and offers, but if you wish to be removed from receiving further email communications OR if you'd like to understand how you can still benefit from your lifetime membership, please give me a call directly for a conversation.

Wishing you the very Best,

(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
Dear NSHSS:

Thank You for taking the time to respond to my complaint. However, I do not accept it.

You state that to refund membership dues must be "within 60 days of joining" However, your organization claim members will have benefit from this organization during their college career. BUT your invite was sent during my senior year of high school. I accepted the invite over 60 days before the start of my freshman year of college. Why I am this late? because I enrolled in college and had scholarships. I finished college and on my way to start medical school this August. Every semester for the past 6 years I tried to get an advantage of my benefits at NSHSS but they were all useless.

"NSHSS government partners such as the CIA" my college had recruiters from CIA and other government agencies for jobs/ internships... these government agencies' recruiters travel from school to another every week and has nothing to do with NSHSS. Upon accessing these agencies' websites there is nothing that indicates there are opportunities only for NSHSS members. Being a partner does have nothing special for members.

NSHSS claims to provide millions of scholarships. Most of these scholarships are in $500 value and the requirements are insane to make it so much easier for a college student to work 50 hours at $10/Hr to have $500 for sure rather fulfill the requirement for a CHANCE to win $500. You have not responded that the $5000 scholarship for the study abroad programs only accessible after you pay the deposit for the program.

You responded in Revdex.com that NSHSS has an ambassador program where members take over Instagram... something that every school provides for free. I receive daily emails about "Workout at home with NSHSS" during the quarantine. Something that my fitness provides for free that even they froze my membership on their own because of the current epidemic issue.
"Students must meet any one of the following criteria to be considered for membership" simply not true as I meet with students who did not meet the criteria and received invitations for NSHSS.

My brother currently senior in high school and receive an email from his counselor warning all students to NOT accept invites for your organization.

The National Society of High School Scholars Response • Apr 14, 2020

Hi ***,

Thank you for your reply.

As aforementioned, our scholarship awards range from $250-$5000 depending upon that unique scholarship and the eligibility requirements. Yes, the application process is very competitive, and all of our scholarship recipients are listed on our website https://www.nshss.org/scholarships/past-winners/. We are very proud of all of our applicants whose backgrounds are quite impressive.

As a college student, you could apply to the Di Yerbury Scholarship, which is a study abroad scholarship that does not require you to sign up for any program first. NSHSS' application criteria generally involve submitting an essay, resume, letter of recommendation, and transcript, which help us evaluate the applicants and make well-informed decisions among a competitive field.

Our government, educational and corporate partners offer NSHSS members exclusive opportunities and shares that very effectively via email and those resources are available on our members' member dashboards. You wouldn't see NSHSS listed on their website; however, they are present on our website and the CIA attends all of NSHSS member events as they present during the opening ceremony and participate on several panels such as the Future Focused panel along with the Army and State Department to discuss skills that are critical for success @ https://www.nshss.org/.

Again, I wish we could have had an interaction with you prior to now since you have continued to receive NSHSS emails which you've indicated. Our refund policy is that you may cancel your membership at any time; however, to receive a refund, it has to be within 60 days of the join date which you were told on March 30 in response to your email - it has been almost six (6) years now so we can't process a refund but we can share how you can still benefit from your lifetime membership. As a mentor, Your journey from high school to college could certainly benefit our members that are navigating that path now.

If you have any further questions, please give Member Services a call at XXX-XXX-XXXX, M-F, 8a-5p EST. Please stay healthy and safe!!

Hello, Thank You for responding.

I don't accept this resolution. To prove this just google Is NSHSS scam and you will face hundred of reviews (if not thousands) claiming this organization is a scam and they feel this same way I feel. If NSHSS was legit organization then you need to contact high school counselors and teacher that warn their students against your organization. I am different and waited few years trying to get on single benefit out of my membership and couldn't find anything. over $2900 for a six day college tour?? conferences that cost thousands to attend . Having NSHSS on my resume brought nothing for but an embarrassment in college. Real scholarship sponsors don't claim fees upfront. I will keep fighting until I have my money back. It's about scamming underage high-scholars. I was under 17 or 16 when I received the invite.

We had an interaction with Ms. yesterday (Jan 29). My Team member transferred her to me since the 60days to receive a refund had expired. I was in a meeting so I returned her call at 5pEST and had a robust conversation with her. After she mentioned she gave her credit card to her daughter several times to my Team, her voicemail to me demanded to know how we obtained her credit card information although her daughter used it to accept her membership. I did approve the refund - even for the merchandise which they still have possession of. My follow-up email is below, dated Jan 29 @ 5:26p:

Hi ***, Thank you for time in allowing me the opportunity to share how *** was selected, the manner in which she accepted her invitation online and how it's indeed an honor to have been selected for membership. As aforementioned, please visit our website at https://www.nshss.org/ to review the publications and media coverage we've received at our recent Scholar's Day member event. You'll also see under the appropriate tabs (Membership, Educators, Scholarships, Partners, Events, About, Blog) very resourceful information about the society. As discussed, the refund for the one-time, lifetime membership fee of $75 including the honor stole ($15), totaling $98 has been processed so please allow up to 48hrs before the credit settles successfully with your financial institution. A copy of the refund transaction receipt is attached for your records. Your membership has been disabled and you will no longer receive email communications from NSHSS, our educational, corporate or government (CIA) partners regarding upcoming scholarships, save the date member events or study abroad opportunities and internships. If you have any questions regarding the benefits of membership or re-activating this lifetime membership, please give Member Services a call at 866-343-1800, M-F, 8a-5p EST for further assistance. I need to request a full refund of the membership fee and the graduation stole that was purchased. This company is a SCAM.
On 1/18/2020, my daughter received a valid looking invitation from NSHSS. We proceeded to accept the invitation and send in the membership fee of $75 and even purchased the graduation stole for $15, only to find out later from her school guidance counselor that this society is a SCAM and that we should get our money back. I paid via PayPal on 1/18/2020. I need to request a full refund of the membership fee and the graduation stole that was purchased. This company is a SCAM.

Desired Outcome

I want a full refund of the $75 membership fee, the $15 graduation stole purchase and completely remove our contact information from all NSHSS websites and databases. We don't want to receive anymore emails from NSHSS either.

The National Society of High School Scholars Response • Jan 22, 2020

Hi *** (in response to your email dated Jan 21 @ 10:08a),

In the United States, an honor society is an organization that recognizes excellence among its peers. There are numerous honor societies at both the secondary school and collegiate levels, and academically talented students can expect to receive invitations from more than one organization. There are many options out there for high-achieving students. Unfortunately, there seems to be some misinformation out there about NSHSS and we are doing our best to share real stories and achievements of our outstanding students, member benefits, and relevant information on our website at www.nshss.org and through our social media channels. NSHSS members (Ambassadors) "take over" our Instagram every day sharing how they are maximizing on their lifetime membership, how they are preparing for college and answering general questions - you can check them out @NSHSS. You can also review the publications and news clips featuring NSHSS @ https://www.nshss.org/.

Like other academic or professional societies, NSHSS does charge a fee for membership that helps the society off-set costs of providing member communications and benefits. This one-time $75 fee for membership may also be waived for qualifying students without the financial means through our fee-waiver program. We are very proud to honor all students who are striving for and achieving academic excellence. Honoring and recognizing these students is a core value of the society. However, it seems some people confuse that with the sole benefit of the Society. Therefore, we say: Be Honored. Be More. NSHSS honors students for their academic achievements and opens pathways for high achieving students and their families to more. When you see the amazing students who have found great resources like scholarships, study abroad experiences or summer programs, a peer network, access to corporate, government (CIA) and educational opportunities, and member conferences and events through their membership in NSHSS - you will know we are definitely not a scam. A full list of our partners can be located @ https://www.nshss.org/partners/.

It is important to note that invitations are extended to those scholars selected for membership which means they have to be nominated by an Educator or one of our educational partners if they meet at least one of our eight (8) stringent, academic criteria which can also be found on our website at https://www.nshss.org/membership/.

Your daughter became a member of our honor society on January 18, 2020 so she is definitely within the 60 day window to receive a refund. The refund for $98 has been processed and I've attached a copy of the refund transaction for your records. Please allow up to 48hrs before the credit settles with your financial institution. Your daughter's membership has been cancelled and you will no longer receive email communications regarding new scholarships, member events, or special partner offerings. Should you have any questions or would like to have a conversation, please feel free to contact myself directly or the Member Services Team at XXX-XXX-XXXX, M-F, 8a-6p EST.

NSHSS wishes your daughter the absolute BEST throughout her academic journey and beyond!!

(The consumer indicated he/she ACCEPTED the response from the business.)
I got my $98 refund via Paypal.

We also want NSHSS to stop sending us emails, letters and packages. We received a package from NSHSS on Thursday 1/23 and I have marked the unopened package as "return to sender" and put it in the nearest USPS mailbox to be returned to them.

I have emailed the business already, and I would like a full $75 refund.
I bought the $75 membership to the NSHSS, thinking it was an accredited organization akin to the National Honor Society. However, this was not the case. It is no different from a free scholarship website. It is a scam, hidden behind golden invitation letters and promises of amazing things. It had nothing to offer. I looked more into it, and I found out that the NSHSS was a complete joke. It was a waste of my money and time. It sickens me that they can trick innocent gifted kids into thinking they got invited to something special when the NSHSS is utter garbage. I bought the membership on January 17th, 2020, and I emailed them an hour after I received the receipt of the purchase. I have also called them but they were conveniently closed, and I left them a message. I understand that it might be too early to take it to this length, but I want my money back immediately. My member ID is ONXXXXXXXXolm.

Desired Outcome

I would like a full $75 refund as soon as possible.

Hello ***,

You sent an email on Friday, Jan 18 @ 11:27p (after hours) and a Member Services representative emailed you Saturday, Jan 18 @ 11:26a. You responded that giving us a phone call wasn't possible. Once we received your response on Jan 20, I responded to you with this message:

Good Morning ***, Your request to have a refund outside of our normal guidelines has been processed. The receipt of the transaction is attached for your records; please allow up to 72hrs before that credit settles successfully with your financial institution. Your membership has been disabled and you will no longer receive email communications from NSHSS.

***, it's important to know that NSHSS offers very unique scholarship opportunities to our members in high school and in college; in addition to the scholarship opportunities and the special partner offerings to study abroad or intern with our government (CIA), corporate, and educational partners, is very rewarding. The NSHSS member events are very impactful because you are surrounded by like-minded scholars with the same interests so you're making peer connections that can last a lifetime. You'll make special partner connections also by attending the college and career fairs, attend profound break out sessions where you hear from a panel of experts whether they are NSHSS scholarship recipients, experts from Coca Cola, CIA, State Department and the Army, to name a few).

I encourage you to please visit our website at https://www.nshss.org/ to see some of the publications and news media clips NSHSS has been featured in as well as videos from our past member events. If you're on Instagram (IG), please take a moment to check out our members who participate in the NSHSS Ambassadors leadership program; they take over our "live" @NSHSS everyday as they share how they're maximizing the benefits of membership, college preparedness and provide their tips as well. We are really making an impact on our members lives and will continue to do so since membership is for a lifetime with that one-time membership fee of $75.

If you have any questions or would like to have a conversation, please give Member Services a call at XXX-XXX-XXXX, M-F, 8a-5p EST. If you're ever interested in re-activating your membership, we'll be glad to assist you in that effort. Wishing you the absolute Best on your academic journey and beyond!!

This complaint is regarding a refund for an honor society event my daughter and I were unable to attend.
I paid in advance for an Honor Society event that my daughter and I were not able to attend. My daughter was ill and we were not able to travel. The drive would have been 5 hours from our home to this two day event. I notified G. Dent three days prior to the event and she refused to refund the money and offered to let me toward another event. However, she stated there are no event in my state of SC. There is one remaining event this year and another that is out of the country. I find this to be unreasonable more money to travel to Europe or anther state...so no refund. Each event offered is costly airfare hotels and nothing remotely close to home. I find this to be an unfair business practice fleecing money from parents and basically their children. My daughter was ill and is now wants nothing to do with this society. There is no HONOR in basically stealing someone's money. This is a poor business practice taking $191.88 from a family. I would like my money back and do not want to hear from this entity again. My daughter says that several of her classmates say they are not representative of a Honor Society. There are distinguished honor societies out there, this isn't one of them.

Desired Outcome

I would like a full refund and apology. I choose to unsubscribe to all or any of their messages. There is an exorbitant amount of them on the daily. I want to be removed from their contact list. I contacted the event coordinator more than once for a refund. The OMNI hotel who hosted the event had no problem canceling my reservation prior to the event, they were kind enough not to charge.

Hi Ms.,

It was a pleasure speaking with you today. Again, I apologize that you were not fully aware that you could transfer the member event tickets to another member event, up to a year. Since Scholar's Day Atlanta is a signature member event, it is on the calendar of events for 2020; all member events will be finalized by February 2020 and posted on our website @ www.nshss.org and your daughter will be able to review the calendar of events from her member dashboard. If she requires any assistance logging into her dashboard, please give Member Services a call at 866-343-1800, M-F, 8a-5p EST and we will be more than happy to assist you.

I'm sorry that Anna couldn't attend the member event in Atlanta since she wasn't feeling well, so I'm going to issue you the refund for the two (2) tickets purchased since you're not interested in transferring them to another member event at this time. Please allow up to two (2) weeks to receive the check via mail. Also, please remind Anna about the upcoming scholarships that will launch January 2020. Lastly, please enjoy some of the pictures from the 2019 Scholar's Day Atlanta 2-day member event https://www.nshss.org/events/events-collection/scholars-day-atlanta-2019-recap/.

If he's forgotten his password, we can reset that for him. Please give Member Services a call at XXX-XXX-XXXX, M-F, 8a-5p EST. NSHSS honors students for their academic achievements and opens pathways for high achieving students and their families to more. When you see the amazing students who have found great resources like scholarships, study abroad experiences or summer programs, a peer network, access to corporate, government (CIA) and educational opportunities, and member conferences and events through their membership in NSHSS - you will know we are definitely not a scam!

Our goal is to respond to all emails received within 48hrs and this is the only interaction we've had with you since Kody accepted his membership, July 16, 2019. Your son became a member of our honor society on July 16, 2019 so the 60 day window to receive a refund has expired. We would love the opportunity to share with you how Kody can maximize on the "lifetime" benefits of his membership. Did you know that he's never logged into his member dashboard to apply to the scholarships we launched in the Fall? The good news is that there will be more scholarships available with the open/close dates and eligibility requirements, January 2020. Please give Member Services a call at 866-343-1800, M-F, 8a-5p EST so we can reset Kody's password if he's forgotten it and answer any specific questions you may have.

It's too late to get a refund but I don't want my name on this anymore. I was stupid enough to buy this and just figured out it does by NO means look good on a college application and was a waste of time and money I could not afford to lose. I can barely afford groceries and knowing I fell for this and wasted money I could have used to help my family makes me sick to my stomach. I thought this was going to help me get into a good college but turns out it might have hindered it had I put it on my application. Don't buy this trash unless you want to go to Sweden sometimes I guess?? If I can't get my money back I at least want to be taken off whatever membership list you have.

Misinformation of services
I am requesting a refund for the $75 membership fee that I was charged for my daughter. I have come to find out that this organization will not help my daughter with her college career and can in fact be detrimental if listed on her application.

Desired Outcome

Refund of $75

Ms.,

NSHSS is a global honor society established in 2002. For the past 17 years, the organization has collaborated with colleges, universities, corporate and governmental partners (CIA) to support members transition from high school to college and from college to career. NSHSS members have access to:
Unique scholarship opportunities, internships and academic competitions
Member-only educational content, including college and career preparation
National events and college/career fairs for members and their families
Access to special offers for everything from study abroad opportunities and campus tours to test-preparation and partner offers.

Although there is a one-time, lifetime membership fee of $75, we are very proud to extend fee waivers to those families experiencing financial hardships who have scholars that are truly excelling, academically and have been selected for membership.

You emailed Member Services on October 21 and we responded to you on the same day regarding our refund policy as it relates to the membership; I wish you would've called in to speak with us directly as requested. The refund has been processed and you will receive a receipt for that transaction via email.

If you have any further questions, please give me a call directly, M-F, 8a-5p EST or you may visit our very resourceful website at www.nshss.org.

On behalf of NSHSS, I wish your daughter all the Best throughout her academic journey and beyond!

The company selected me as a member of their society. However, I paid my fee to become a member and the whole thing was a scam.
I paid 75 dollars to join their society. The whole thing was fake and I don't know how to get a refund.

Desired Outcome

I just want my 75 dollars back.

Hi ***,

In the United States, an honor society is an organization that recognizes excellence among its peers. There are numerous honor societies at both the secondary school and collegiate levels, and academically talented students can expect to receive invitations from more than one organization. There are many options out there for high-achieving students, you are not limited to just one and you are certainly right to do your research! Unfortunately, there seems to be some misinformation out there about NSHSS and we are doing our best to share real stories and achievements of our outstanding students, member benefits, and relevant information on our website at www.nshss.org and through our social media channels. We actually have members "take over" our Instagram every day sharing their membership experience; you can check them out @NSHSS.

Like other academic or professional societies, NSHSS does charge a fee for membership that helps the society off-set costs of providing member communications and benefits. This one-time $75 fee for membership may also be waived for qualifying students without the financial means through our fee-waiver program. We are very proud to honor all students who are striving for and achieving academic excellence, and honoring and recognizing these students is a core value of the society. However, it seems some folks confuse that with the sole benefit of the Society. This is why we say: Be Honored. Be More. Please give Member Services a call at XXX-XXX-XXXX, M-F, 8a-5p EST so we can share how you can maximize on the benefits of your membership. Per our refund policy, you must cancel within 60 days of accepting your membership which was June 28, 2019. As you're aware, We communicate very effectively via email and each email you've received includes our contact information for any questions or assistance required.

We look forward to speaking with you. Wishing you all the Best throughout your academic journey and beyond!

I would like my $75 refunded. I was guaranteed good opportunities, and I became a member to get good recognition but it turns out this is a joke.
I want my $75 refused. I got this for good recognition but it turns out they even suggest you not to put this "honor" in any college application Bc it's a joke and a scam. I have not gotten any good opportunities when I was guaranteed good things. Turns out this is morning but a joke and I want my $75 back! In fact I've been trying to reach you guys since September and nothing!

Desired Outcome

Refund my $75!

I want my money back. It's a scam. I've been so happy I'm part of something that doesn't exist in my school.
You basically lied to us. Saying it's from my high school and all. I really looked forward to it. I couldn't attend any of events because of cost. Many of my friends were scammed. You fooled me. I want my money back. It's insane. I actually had dreams and I come to reality. What the ***.

Desired Outcome

My refund.

Hi ***,

Per the NSHSS refund policy, you may cancel the membership at any time; however, to receive a refund for the "one-time", lifetime membership fee of $75, it must be within 60 days from the time the invitation for membership was accepted. You became a member of our distinguished, academic honor society on August 23, 2019 so you are definitely within that threshold to receive a refund.

We received your email on Tuesday, October 1 @ 12:38p regarding the refund and a Member Services representative responded to you on the same day @ 4:02p. Our hours of operation are M-F, 8a-5p EST and our goal is to respond to emails within 48hrs.

I have processed the refund and will email you a copy of the transaction receipt for your records. Please allow up to 48hrs for the credit to settle successfully with your financial institution. If you have any further questions, please allow Member Services the opportunity to assist you by calling XXX-XXX-XXXX, M-F, 8a-5p EST or visit our very resourceful website at www.nshss.org.

I would like a full $75 membership refund from NSHSS. I paid the membership fee believing the organization would help my daughter, but it does not.
I paid $75 for NSHSS membership in return for exclusive scholarship and college opportunities for my daughter. However, there are seemingly no benefits my daughter can receive from this organization, and all recent scholar events are events she can not attend because of distance and costs. There are also no benefits from this organization that go towards colleges my daughter is interested in. I would like a full membership refund. I paid for the membership on July 31st, 2019. My membership ID is ONXXXXXXXXcho. I paid the fee believing this organization would help my daughter, however, all opportunities offered were not helpful.

Desired Outcome

I would like a full membership refund of $75. Thank you.

NSHSS is a global honor society established in 2002. For the past 17 years, the organization has collaborated with colleges, universities, corporate and governmental partners to support members transition from high school to college and from college to career. Our benefits include: access to scholarships, member events and college fairs, partner offerings, and resources for college and career preparation.

The NSHSS Member events are strategically scheduled with our members' best interests in mind; meaning that we hope that they can attend at least one (1) that's in close proximity where they can participate in the career/college fairs, student exhibitions, and effective workshops; build peer and partner connections/networks; and attend the recognition ceremony where they are presented with their honor medallions as we celebrate their academic accomplishments.

Additionally, as I review Jisela's dashboard, I don't see that she's applied for any scholarships. Eligibility requirements and the open/close dates vary, and we have several new scholarships opening up in the next month or so. If Jisela had been awarded a particular scholarship, the funds would've been available to the college or university she would attend. If you haven't visited our website, I encourage you to do so at www.nshss.org to see current and past scholarship recipients, the testimonials from both parents and members, and our commitment to providing the resources and support needed to excel in high school, college, and beyond.

I have processed the refund and will email you a copy of the transaction receipt for your records. Please allow up to 48hrs for the credit to settle successfully with your financial institution.
