We just had the exterior of our house painted by Paint Doctor and are very pleased with the results! We talked with several companies and finally went with Paint Doctor due to their professionalism and very reasonable quote, and we are not disappointed. They did a terrific job painting as well as repairing our chimney and we will absolutely hire them again next time (you know, in fifteen years!).

From start to finish, we couldn't be happier with the Paint Doctor and what an awesome job they did for our house! We researched different companies for over a month before choosing the Paint Doctor. From the start, coming out to evaluate the house and work needed on the exterior (we were looking for stucco repair and house painting)--we were impressed. Quick and great service from that initial visit--we received their estimate in a timely matter and, when deciding to hire them, were impressed with how quickly they could start the project. Prep work for the painting was done by Chad, a friendly, efficient person who explained all steps and made us feel comfortable that our house was in good hands. From the start, the job was done professionally and efficiently, within a week our house's exterior was repaired, painted, and finished....looking amazing, with a guarantee! It was hassle-free for us, and we're very impressed with the service, professionalism, and finished work the company gave us--highly recommend to anyone who's looking to get their house painted/restored...

Thank you Paint Doctor!

I searched for several paint companies before settling on The Paint Doctor. Read blogs/reviews of about 30 companies in the local area. There were only 3 companies that met my criteria - high reviews, number of reviews greater than 100, no really bad reviews like one company had an ex-convict threaten the homeowner, and had to have been around for more than 10 years. Two of those companies returned my call - The Paint Doctor and***. *** estimate came in about a thousand dollars higher and The Paint Doctor's guarantee was longer and covered the labor and caulking too, so I went with The Paint Doctor.

Some discrepancies between what the initial consultation mentioned and what the actual painting took place:
- I thought I was told that they do not use subcontractors, but a subcontractor did the job. When asked about that later, was told that they only higher quality subcontractors with experience and still guarantee their work.
- Was told that when the siding nails are loose, they will use screws. The sub-contractor wasn't even aware of this and never heard of such a thing. Nevertheless, the loose nails were pounded back in, and it all looks just fine.
- Was told that the rotted wood around the window would be replaced. I assumed that meant the complete board would be replaced. For example, the 3 foot 1x4 board under a window. But only the portion that was rotted was replaced, so it looks a little odd. Only about 10 inches of that 3 foot board was replaced. If it were me doing the work, I would have replaced the whole board, so you wouldn't see the crease.

Problems:
- Tape was left on the roof. Sub-contractor returned and removed the tape.
- Caulking at the front window was old and black. Sub-contractor fixed.
- Gap at basement walkout door. Sub-contractor caulked and painted.
- Sub-contractor filled our trashcan. Luckily trash pick-up was the next day. Would have been more professional if they took away their own trash with them when they were done.
- Paint got stuck to the weatherstripping to the front door. So, when the door was opened, the weatherstripping was ripped from the door jam. I ended up fixing this because I was in the process of adding a storm door. The sub-contractor stated this was done because no one was home at the time. It probably would have been better to work with the homeowner to remove the weatherstripping, so a gap is there to paint the door and the door jam, then when it's dry, to re-install the weatherstripping.

Bottom line: The paint came out great, the trimming looks great, they completed the job very quickly - about 3 days, they cleaned up their mess, didn't see any splatter, and they were polite. The best thing is that The Paint Doctor guarantees the paint, labor, and caulking for 12 years for our contract. Whether this ends up to be true or not, I will revisit this review and update it.

The Paint Doctor went above and beyond to make sure that we were happy. Cesar did a phenomenal job, full exterior paint job, including brick, gutters, windows and siding. Everything was spotless, and left with not one spot of paint anywhere it shouldn't have been.
Cannot recommend highly enough. It looks like a new house!

The Paint Doctor company is a first rate company with Brian *** leaning his team or painters did that a superb job of quality painting our house and pergola patio area. We highly recommend them for any paint project. They kept a clean job site with No paint any where else, But where it was suppose to be. Sincerely Thomas & Teri

We absolutely love our freshly painted master bedroom. It was such quick and easy process the whole way through getting an estimate to getting the room painted. It was done fast and the paint lines are perfect! We only needed a small job done, but we will definitely be using The Paint Doctor again for any future big and small projects for our home. I highly recommend them for your next project!

Chris *** was our project manager and was with us the whole journey from quote through HOA approvals, the painting and final touch ups. It was important to me to have a constant contact who was a very good communicator. When we were ready to paint, he introduced me to the painting team and we walked the property together, making sure we all agreed on any deviations from the norm. The painting crew, led by Jesse, was great. Jesse checked in with me at the start and end of every day. I work from home and have a teenager who was in and out of the house. It was important to me to know the crew working on the house and feel comfortable with them.

As with any service, there were a few areas that needed to be addressed after the work was done. Chris and Jesse were very agreeable to addressing them, again, walking through the property to be sure we were all communicating clearly.

I would recommend Paint Doctor.

Chris was on time and the estimate was accurate. The two rooms we had painted were very challenging because of the two story walls. Cesar did a great job, and we are very happy with the results. We are considering Paint Doctor to paint the exterior next. We highly recommend Paint Doctor.

I hired the Paint Doctor for an entire house interior paint job.

The estimator and painters were true professionals. Always timely, high quality products were used and the final product delivered was excellent.

We walked the project every morning to discuss the daily activities and they cleaned up every night.

A pleasure to work with and would hire them again for my next project.

I was referred to the Paint Doctor by a friend who is another satisfied customer. Chris, the estimator and project manager, made a thourough examination of the exterior of our house, prepared a detailed proposal of the work that needed to be done, the cost, and an estimate of when work would start. We were informed that because the work would be performed in the winter, we should expect some delays due to weather. That was not a problem. Because it had been 13 years since the house was last painted, they had to do a considerable amount of preparation work, including replacint some rotten siding and trim. Jesse and the rest of the paint crew did an excelent job. The finished job looks great. It has an eight year warranty and the cost was reasonable. I plan to use the Paint Doctor in the future, when it is time to paint the interior of our home and can certainly recommend them.

Had The Paint *octor paint the complete exterior of my home with *uration by *** and very happy with the results and also the caulking around all the windows which was sorely needed on the west side of my home exposed to harshest weather. My house was built in 2002 and most likely still had its' original paint and caulking job.

Chris *. was professional and gave the estimate and checked the work. The paint crew was led by Victor and they did a great job. Would recommend them for exteriors. They were based in Colorado Springs but also covered Castle Rock, CO.

Melissa came and gave us an estimate and also the news that our home had extensive hail damage on all sides. It explained why my house looked so bad. She also made a trip out to meet with our second insurance adjuster because our first was blind to the damage. We had other quotes and no one else had mentioned the hail damage. The second adjuster came and also found extensive hail damage on the roof. Because of her visit, repairs to my home of over 20K were paid by the insurance company.

Oscar and his crew were very professional. They repaired some damaged wood, primed, and painted my home and stained my fence. I learned from reading reviews of painting in general that you should make sure you look at everything. That made sense to me. So when it was time for the walkthrough I was very thorough. They touched up, or fixed etc. everything that I brought to their attention. We then did a second walkthrough to make sure everything was done that was found in the first walkthrough. They left me with a home that I can feel proud of.

Buyer Beware!

Yes, ONE STAR and Zero if it were available.
Amazing that Yelp reviews by Mandy *., Mike *., Adam *. and Shawn *. were spot on! My wife and I made the mistake of not reading Yelp and other reviews before we hired The Paint Doctor.
The Paint Doctor professional painting resulted in walls not completely painted; 2 coats of paint were not used as required in the contract; corners & edges not painted, in some cases the paint brushes were pushed into corners leaving globs of paint; taping and paper were not used to make edges and boarders straight and to protect our hardwood floors, which was required by contract and added to the contract at a higher cost; spray paint over-runs on doors; electric socket covers not put back on; painted areas were not textured or spackle, paint drippings on pictures, furniture, floors, bath tubs, mirrors, door hardware, no caulking, etc.; small holes not patched (paint supervisor told me that any hole larger than a pen head is done by dry wall people not painters and they are not required to hang pictures back up...and the beat goes on and on and on. Many photos of theses blunders are available to anyone that has an interest.
After the painters were finished and a brief walk through of the house the supervisor took my payment in full ($7055.00 check ((breakdown: $5320.00 for interior walls & some ceilings) and $1985.00 (doors, trim & base boards). We paid for the masking tape, paper, etc., for the trim, baseboards and doors as well as for two coats of paint...none of these were purchased or used by The Paint Doctor; however, we were NOT offered or provided a refund.
During a deep quality check "several" oversights were noted and the painters called back for the third time. They were called but seldom returned calls. They left early on some days and showed up 2+ hours late.
Melissa, the estimator, returned my call and told me she would get the painters back to finish at which time I told her I didn't want them back and gave her two options; total refund or I'll get interior painted by real professional painters and bill Paint Doctor for their work.
She did not accept my offers; instead she showed up with Mike - another painter. Melissa took photos of the discrepancies and Mike gave me a roll of blue tape to mark all of the first crews errors and he said he'd be back the next day to clean up the mess.
Mike did excellent painting but wasn't very reliable. He spackled, taped, and used paper to cover the floor just as the initial painting crew was to have done but didn't. He said he'd call me on a couple of occasions but didn't. Gave us arrival times but showed a couple of hours late or not at all. This project was supposed to be finished on Thursday or Friday (4 - 5 days) but lasted 45 days. Even now we are still finding areas that were not painted and a framed, numbered painting was damaged.
So frustrated and anxious to get our home back without blue tape and paint cans we quit and we will finish their uncompleted, non-professional work.

BUYER BEWARE!

The Paint Doctor Response • Nov 30, 2018

I do recall the day you called me to say there were a number of touch ups you discovered after you paid the foreman. I was very concerned with your call so the day I was to leave for vacation I dropped everything to drive to your home. You were kind and expressed your appreciation to us. You said you didn't want the original crew to finish touch ups so I pulled another foreman off of his job site to meet with us. We understood your concerns and agreed that there were touch ups and some fine tuning to tend to. Mike explained that he would do his best to accommodate completing your home to your satisfaction but cautioned he had his own job site to juggle. This was the reason he had a few difficulties meeting the demands of both job sites... not to cause you further frustration.
Regarding the extreme and offensive opening statements of "buyer beware" and that you would give us a "zero rating if it was an option". I feel that you reading OTHER reviews that had NOTHING to do with me, Mike, or Anthony unfortunately fueled your fire. I would like to note that we have multiple estimators and we paint 100's of projects a year. I believe I speak on all of our behalf, but it is my personal wish that we could make 100% of our customers happy year after year. I'm baffled that you posted this harsh review weeks AFTER shaking Mike's hand and thanking him for resolving all touch ups in your home, telling me that Mike is a "real professional", yet still felt the need to post PRE-touch up photos as if we never returned? If we made no further efforts to address your concerns, that would undoubtedly warrant a "buyer beware and zero rating" but not for those who truly did their best to ensure we had a happy customer in the end.
That being said, as a team we are taking measures to learn from this experience and how we can improve.
Regarding request for full refund: Four painters worked apx 8 days and used 50 gallons of paint. After reviewing the work, we did concur that further work involving touch ups were necessary but no damages were seen or reported. This did not warrant a 100% refund. We considered this job site to be unfinished. We were happy to pay Mike for his time there. NOTE*** The part that you left out of your post is that you told me if I refunded you 100% it would keep you quiet from posting negative reviews on-line and that you would pretend we never met'. Those were your exact words and this stunned me. I calmly replied that no one has ever requested a full refund... At the time I recall thinking that sounded like somewhat of a blackmail statement and I can now see that you held to your word even though you shook Mikes hand and told him all was good.
At our initial appointment you said your floors were getting refinished right after painting. Fast forward, you said there were only a few minor spots on the floors but that it was no problem because they cleaned up easily and said again that floors were getting refinished in a couple of days. This is why the painters proceeded with caution using drop cloths. Moreover, in good faith we paid Mike to paint your baseboards again since the floor people got stain on them during their work. You also claim I "added a higher cost of paper to protect the floors" you were getting refinished? I'm confused by this accusation because no such cost was added in the proposal.
Regarding the art: I explain to ALL homeowners painters will move furniture as needed but homeowners are responsible for removing personal items and décor and ensuring a secure location of your choice.
Thank you for your assistance,
Michael

Best customer experience I have had in a long time!!! The Paint Doctor is very professional, timely, did an outstanding job on my home and is competitively priced. I had my entire 1st level of the inside of my home painted to add color and to repaint all of the baseboards. My estimator was Chris, who showed up at the exact scheduled time and listened to exactly what I wanted. He gave me all of my options and a few suggestions on the colors I had in mind. He brought the painter, Andrew by before the job started, to go over the scope of work. Andrew is a very attention to detail painter and takes pride in his work. He showed up each day on time and kept me updated on his progress, and completed the project exactly when estimated he would. He cleaned up each time he left and when he was finished, everything in my home was in the same condition as when he started except for the beautiful new walls. I love walking into each room and admiring the new look that the paint gives. I would highly recommend the Paint Doctor and will hire them again for future paint projects.

Initially I believed Paint Doctor to be a very customer service friendly company, but now that the job is over I have serious doubts about whether I would ever get any warranty coverage out of them. First, I had told the painter that we just had a new colored, stamped patio poured and he needed to be very careful when painting near it. Well, it was a mess after he finished. I told him about it and he cleaned most of the major paint spills off the patio. But there was still a lot of overspray and "film" the color of the house covering a good portion of the patio. When I showed it to him he said he would come back and power wash it. He came back and hosed it off (not power-wash) which did nothing. So I finally had to get down on my hands and knees with a bucket of hot soapy water and scrub it off myself. Second, when I asked the painter about caulking all the windows, fascia, etc (as stated in their sales pitch) he gave me a look like he had no idea what I was talking about. He said he would come back and caulk as-needed (which I agreed to) but I couldn't see any noticeable caulking, especially around the fascia, soffits, etc....only around a few windows. And finally, I asked for the left-over cans of house paint and trim paint when he was finished so I would have the paint brand and color on hand for any future touch-ups I may need to make (which I now believe I will be on my own to do). The painter said he would bring them to me later. After several weeks of asking, he finally brought a can of the trim paint. But after several more weeks of asking, I have still not received any house paint. If this is not a service they normally provide, fine, just tell me. However, I find it hard to believe there was not even one cup of paint left after painting my house....and, after all, I paid for that paint. I have texted Brian Henderson about it, and have received zero response him. So you can see my concerns I have if/when I ever need any warranty service done. You would be best looking into other companies if you need your house painted.

My home was recently painted In September following the hail storm in May 2018. I spent time on line reviewing locally and nationally based companies. Following my search, I chose The Paint Doctor.
Chris *** was my estimator and Jesse and his father, uncle and brother were my painters. I would highly recommend them for ANY painting contract. Chris was very responsive to my questions and concerns with timely communication and great follow through. Unlike what you often see in today's service market, Chris and the painting crew were courteous, on time and very conscientious with attention to detail. They worked consecutive days until finished. I am grateful to have had them paint the exterior of my home. It looks fabulous!!
Thank you for a job well done!! The Paint Doctor is lucky to have you all on staff.

I was a repeat customer (2015) and made the mistake of not getting estimates for painting one floor of a rental (1200 square feet to include ceilings). The prior tenants who vacated painted two rooms in an awful color. I was charged $3,802!!! The painters needed to be called back 3 times to finish the job (i.e., hole in wall that was not repaired, textured, or painted) and the last time he was called back he left paint stains on the carpet [again], and a package of light bulbs went missing.

The Paint Doctor Response • Aug 17, 2018

Mr. is upset about a price that he was aware of prior to us starting. In fact we even gave an additional discount prior to starting to work on the numbers more for him. Per Mr. request he wanted to use *** paint instead of regular paint which is an upgrade charge (which he was made aware of the price prior to work beginning). He also had requested that all drywall patches be performed with a hopper because he didn't want the texture cans to be used. That means that all of the drywall patches that we performed had to be done with a hopper which always costs more money. We had to have 2 crews over there because of this, one for drywall work to use the hopper and one for painting. This added to the cost, which once again he was aware of prior to work being performed. He had called us with an emergency to have his house painted immediately, we are usually 3 weeks out or longer and we rearranged our entire schedule to start him the day after he accepted.

Customer Response • Aug 17, 2018

I have no recollection of using the term "emergency", but I do remember saying I was going to hire a company who can get the job done fast. Of course The Paint Doctor rearranged their schedule to maximize profit from a prior customer who trusted them

$216 - The "drywall repairs" consisted of tape and texture of a 3 foot thin line where two sheets of drywall met, swiping mud into a hole a door knob made, and sanding and re-texturing about 3 square feet (I have pictures ready to send). I estimate this took 2 or at most 3 hours. *** drywall is probably the best company in Colorado Springs and charge $72 per hour for these small jobs ($72X3=$216).

$399 - *** Duration Interior Satin paint goes for $332 for 5 gallons as of 17 Aug 18, and The Paint Doctor estimated it would be a 10 gallon job. I offered to buy the paint because the *** had the paint on sale 40% off. The Paint Doctor rep said no, they could get it for a better price. [($332X2) X .6 = $399]

The owner/estimator makes people believe he employees experienced painters, clearly he does not. They were supposed to paint most of the interior of our home over the period of 5 days. He first sent over a "painter" (08/06/2018) not a crew who did nothing on day one, day two he applied some random tape and left, day three he slopped paint ALL OVER our home. All over the wood floors, on the carpet, on the cabinets, basically everywhere except the ceilings he was supposed to be painting including walls that were not to be painted. He also removed a chair rail he was supposed to paint. When he called my wife to say we could return home for the day he noted there would be a little "dust" on the floor that could be easily cleaned. When we arrived to see the mess and destruction I called the company and requested the owner come out that day. I was told he would not be available so I requested someone from the company come to as the situation (approximately 4 pm) after an hour of waiting for a call back I left the owner another voicemail, another hour later I call the painter and he does not answer, so at this point I text the owner and painter to say I will not need their services. Then the painter shows up at the house saying he can fix the mess, I asked him to clean up some of his mess and he says he has to leave it but will the next day but the owner told him to come talk to me. Then about three hours later I get a string of text messages from the owner saying he's going to bill me for supplies and the painters time (when the painter was not actually there much less painting). I try to explain this is not just a little mess that the thug he sent to our home put more paint on the floors than the ceilings and that every room of our home was a disaster, I tell him I just want what was promised... He eventually says he will send his lead painter over in the morning. This guy was another subcontractor who came in and told my wife how appalled he was and that the would clean everything up and make it right, so my wife and three year old vacated the house for a fourth day. That evening we return to even more mess and ceilings that are basically striped (read very poorly painted). Also zero cleanup has happened. The following morning my wife tells him we are not happy, he blames the paint and requests she buy more. At this point they have used or stolen nearly a thousand dollars in paint and not a single room has a painted ceiling or finished wall. She bought more, and still not one room completed. Now they have painted walls that were not supposed to be painted, the ceilings still look terrible and the mess has become exponentially worse. Paint on the carpet, paint globs running down the walls, paint on doors and lights and everywhere excepts where it belongs. Literally the worst painting I have ever seen plus the damages to the home. After arriving home to see the carnage I reach out to the owner of the company again, he won't answer. I text him and request he come over in the next 24 hours and he says he can not come until after the weekend... He then tells me the mess is normal, he says the problem is our paint and makes more excuses. I note that we purchased very expensive paint, note that they should have provided their own paint or requested we buy a specific type. I also not he initially wanted twice the amount of paint that the other two bids wanted and that they then doubled that, I told him it did not make sense that they could use twenty gallons of paint and not complete a single room. He said he would call the painter to ask how much it would take to complete the job and call me right back. He did not call back. The painter did call and say he would be over at eight a.m. to clean up and that it would take three more days to finish. He never showed up (08/11/18). At ten I called the owner to let him know and he later text me "ok" and nothing else.

Initial Business Response /(1000, 5, 2018/08/15) */
I am responding to the complaint made to the Paint Doctor by Brad ***, *e have been in contact with the homeowner several times to try to resolve this situation. I have sent several crews out to finish the homeowner's house. The Home owner didn't like the first crew out there that we sent to the home even though they our master painters and the crew lead has over 18 years of experience. I think the home owners didn't realize the scope of work they were going to have done to their house. *hen we paint an interior depending on the type of job we mask and cover all the floors completely to protect the surfaces there is a lot of plastic, paper and tape I am sure the homeowners were a little overwhelmed and they were upset on the amount of paint that was being used as well. In the contract on this home the homeowner supplied all the paint. The Paint Doctor usually supplies all the paint through ***, the Paint Doctor uses lifetime warranty paint Superpaint through *** it a very good product for interior painting has extremely good coverage. The homeowners chose not to use *** paint instead they wanted us to use their own paint. Also because they chose to use a cheaper quality paint it took our crew more labor ours then originally estimated. The paint they chose didn't cover very well at all and we had to apply numerous coats on the walls and ceiling the home owners where upset it was taking more product then they anticipated that was by no fault of the Paint Doctor we applied the product they chose to the paint specs for the product. *e tried to keep the homeowners happy we even changed the crew that was out there to another paint crew even though I didn't think it was necessary but the homeowners wanted the change so we made it. Our customer satisfaction is extremely important to our company. *hen we showed up on Monday to try to resolve the situation they told us to leave there property, we offered to pick up all the plastic, tape and paper to get there house back in order and they refused to work with us. The Paint Doctor has many man hours out for the work that was done at the homeowner's house; we have materials and ladders at their home that they are refusing to return to our company. *e would have very much liked to have resolved this with the homeowners and finish the property; we were never given that chance. The Paint Doctor has been in business for close to 25 years and our an industry leader in commercial and residential coating we have tens of thousands of satisfied customers throughout the Pikes Peak region. *e hope the Revdex.com doesn't register this complaint against our company since we have tried several avenues to complete the interior painting and keep our customer satisfied unfortunately with this customer we were not able to do so.

Initial Consumer Rebuttal /(3000, 7, 2018/08/17) */
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
In response to the above bold face lies from Brian *** of the paint doctors-
First I have made several requests for him to come to see the disaster their company has made of our home. He has ignored me (8/8/18), refused (8/10/18) and not showed up at the time he personally setup (8/13/18). This guy is full of excuses and untruths but unwilling to accept responsibility for the damaged his "painters" have caused.
-Next his "crews" are a single unqualified thug with a paint sprayer. The first guys did bring his girlfriend the last time he came and the second guys said he was going to bring an assistant to help clean up last Saturday (8/11/18) but he never showed up... He did have that assistant come into our home briefly on (8/10/18) I/ll just say it wasn't someone we would have invited in of the corner. So far none of these people have looked like a person you would want left alone in your home with the possible exception of slick talking Mr *** and his folder of lies. All pertinent and worth noting as they tell you they only send professional insured bonded crews of of vetted employees. In actuality they are subcontracted (per both "painters") single person "crews" who can't possibly have the experience the paint doctors try to spin.
-The first guy also named Brian, told my wife that he had been painting for almost eight years. the second fellow Chad their "lead painter" probably has not been out of high school that long, there is no possible way he has eighteen years experience. Just another example of this guy/companies straight up lies.
-Another example is how on all of their literature (and direct from Brian ***) they claim to be some sort of ambassador of the ***. Not True! *hen we called to make a complaint to the PDCA they actually told us they were not associated and they have taken formal action(s) against this contractor as well. They said they have made multiple requests to Mr ***/paint doctors to stop fictitiously telling people they members or affiliated in any way.
-As for the lies about covering the floors. I have dozens of photos and estimates from floor cleaning/maid service/restoration/painting and general contractors to try and figure out how to quickly fix everything they (the paint doctors) did. They left such a disaster three contractors urged us to file a claim on our home insurance. *e are in that process as well. It is so evident that the floors both wood and carpet were not covered completely or at all in many areas that if this Brian *** guy had just come over he could have seen and had his insurance start the process... However, he probably lied about that as well.
-Not only are the floors painted but so are almost all of the light fixtures, several plugs, switches, switch plates and natural wood trim (not on the list to be painted). They stuck tape in a lot of places but a lot of wrong places and then didn't tape many they should have. *e actually pulled most of it down now so the other contractors can better assess the damages and even their tape made damages, probably because it was left up all week (even in rooms they were not even supposed to be in?!?!).
-The excuse about the paint, well when he bid the job, he suggested to use the paint he saw we had. He NEVER mentioned/offered/or bid the job any other way. It was after the second painter wanted more paint (again) that we began to question why they needed more. As I told Brian *** and Chad - good bad or any other kind of paint it quite seems impossible that they could not complete a single ceiling after supposedly spraying over 15 gallons of paint on the ceilings. Significantly more paint than other contractors bid. *hen asked because I wanted to know how much more he wanted to finish the job using their *** paint (so they couldn't keep using that excuse) on (8/10/18) Brian the owner of the company who refused to come out to the house that afternoon said he would ask Chad how much more was needed and call me back. He NEVER called back! Chad called me roughly an hour later and made excuses and acknowledged the terrible painting (all while giving a very unprofessional attitude) and eventually swore he would be there the next morning to walk through with me and come up with a plan, he never showed up or called or anything... The first painter and Mr told my wife *** makes valspar when she asked if it was the paint causing the very poor coverage and he said he just needed another coat. I personally feel its because they are unskilled and got more on the floor than the ceilings and walls and/or they stole a bunch. I do have a picture of Chad leaving with a five gallon of our paint! The walls I painted it covered fine.
-The "numerous coats" are globs running down the walls and soaked through their crappy tape onto our natural wood trim that is now ruined. If only I could upload the pictures here! *e did not choose not to use the paint they offered, that is how he bid the job and he never asked or suggested differently.
-Customer satisfaction obviously does not matter at all or the owner of the company would have come out one of the THREE times I requested it and not stood me up at the time he set up! He later claimed the office booked it wrong but he texted me him self to set it up after he refused to come out a week go so he can not really blame the office. Of course I have called their office too trying to get anyone to come see their painters work with no luck, only told Brain is the owner and the person to talk to.
-*e NEVER refused to let them in. After Chad did not show up on Sat. (8/11/18) I texted Brian who won't answer phone calls to let him know and I suggested the "painter(s)" wait to return until our scheduled meeting Monday (8/13/18) afternoon so that the three of us could all walk through together and make sure we were all on the same page. Then Brian did not show up as discussed (via his text messages - that I wish I could upload) so I called him. He did not answer (15 min. after scheduled meeting) then at around 45 min. past scheduled time that I took off work early to meet him, I was fed-up and texted him to say we were done with the nonsense of the paint doctors. Granted they took our home captive for an entire week with not a single room done and disastrous mess in 80% of the home.
-Magically about thirty minutes after that Chad comes knocking on the door with a big chip on his shoulder saying Brain can't make it (almost an hour and a half after he was supposed to meet), he says Brain should be here to make it right but he is there... I tell him he had his chance to come talk to me on Saturday but didn't bather to show up and that his painting was not at all the quality it needed to be and that he never cleaned up after the first guy like he kept promising. He then asked to be able to remove his things. I allowed him in and he stomped around flailing his arms, slamming doors, bashing walls with his ladders, etc. I asked him to please not damage anything else and to finish gathering his things. He walks out with a bucket of our paint that he has some rollers in, ~3 gallons (that he left open all weekend) and literally peels out of our driveway.
-Then this morning (8/17/18) this Chad guy shows up banging on the door but my wife doesn't answer for fear of her and my daughters safety. Strangely enough a couple hours later a lawn company (based on google search of the number) calls my wife's phone saying they need a ladder the paint doctors rented (weird!). I also received a message around the same time from Brain wanting to know about a ladder. I let both parties know there was a ladder left laying in our front yard for the past 9 or 10 days. Unfortunately it doesn't seem like the Revdex.com is really interested in helping solve this either. I should be able to both complaint and a review so to warn others who put faith in the system... These big money contractors play the system and take advantage of the little guy. The Revdex.com should vet these companies better before giving them great ratings. Like the simple call to the PDCA. This whole situation is very disheartening! I am sure we will be out a lot between paint, cleaning, repair and restoration, deductible on home insurance etc. This company may be able to produce quality but based on the way they treated us and our home and the mess they left... Its just not right. Mr could have tried a lot harder to make this right if he really is so reputable but his actions (or inactions) speak volumes. He is a real coward and needs to back up he bologna he spews, a guy doing estimates in a ninety thousand dollar Cadillac should stand behind his company and pay the damages his people caused. I am sure if I spray painted his floors he would want that fixed.
*e just want it made right but we can not imagine letting these people back in our home.

Final Consumer Response /(3000, 32, 2018/10/09) */
However, I have been thinking about how we might be able to expedite a resolution and even though Mr. does not seem to be interested in mediation or finding a solution I thought I might offer one last idea before this ends up in the courts...

Obviously he has no idea how serious the problems are since he never came to see the damages and is going off the word of the "painters" but we would really like to just close this chapter off and move on. Therefore, if the paint doctors will just agree to pay us for the paint they wasted and the most basic part of the clean up we will agree to just eat all of the rest of the restoration costs.

*e are really trying to come to some mutual solution before this becomes a big legal mess...

Final Business Response /(4000, 38, 2018/10/31) */
In regards to the last response from the customer; we appreciate the customer's willingness to expedite a solution and close the matter. Therefore The Paint Doctor is willing to pay the amount of $500 to the customer to resolve this matter and resolve this situation.
