Dear
Sir or Madam:
I
have received your letter dated October 5,
regarding the concerns from and appreciate the opportunity to respond
At APS, we care about our customers and we value
our relationship with themBeing able to resolve customer issues amicably is
our goal and when any problem arises, we work hard to resolve it
I
have investigated Ms*** ***-*** concerns and have found that she
and Marvin *** jointly established electric service at EHelena Drive
in Scottsdale on December 8, The service remained in their name until
they requested to disconnect the service on September 12, and they left an
outstanding balance in the amount of $
My
investigation found that on September 2, 2014, Michael *** (Krista’s
father) established electric service solely in his name at N76th Street Unit in
Scottsdale
Ms
*** ***-*** called APS on September 11, and advised APS that Michael was her father and that she
resided at the property on 76th StreetHowever, Ms***-*** changed
her story and stated she did not reside at the residence once APS informed her
of her outstanding balanceTherefore, APS performed an internal investigation
APS’s investigation found evidence that confirmed Ms***-*** was
residing at the property on 76th Street and benefitting from the service while
owing an outstanding balanceAs such, APS mailed a letter addressed Ms
***-*** to the residence on September 24, advising her that her
outstanding balance needed to be paid by October 8, to avoid further
action
On
September 29, 2015, Mr*** contacted and was advised that APS had reason
to believe that Ms***-*** was residing at the residence and
benefiting from the service while owing an outstanding balanceMr***
stated that he had established the service in his name for his daughter, Ms
Mazzalla-WilsonIn order to resolve the issue, he provided APS permission to
add his daughter to the account as a joint account holder and Ms
***-*** also agreed to be added to the accountIn the spirit of
customer service, APS extended the offer to Ms***-*** to establish a
payment arrangement on the outstanding balance to be paid in four installments
of $Ms***-*** stated that this was more than she could commit
to paying each monthShe then stated that APS did not have the right to
request the outstanding balance from her as she has no money at this time and
that it was supposed to be paid by her ex-husband, Marvin Wilson, per their
divorce decreeAPS advised her that this was a civil matter and APS could not
be involved other than the fact that the outstanding balance needed to be paid
to continue service at the 76th Street property
I
spoke with Ms***-*** on October 5, regarding her concernsShe
stated that she was not trying to get out of paying the outstanding balance
owedHowever, she needed to establish a payment arrangement that was in a
conceivable amount within her budgetShe stated she could afford to pay $
a month towards the outstanding balance and would try to pay more each time but
that this would be the maximum payment she could commit to paying every
month. I agreed to establish the payment
arrangement of $installments due on the 15th of each month and advised
her she would need to pay the current charges each month along with the payment
arrangement amountShe thanked me for working with her and understanding her
situation
Again, thank you
for the opportunity to address Ms***-*** concernsShould you have
any questions or if I may be of further assistance, please feel free to contact
me at the telephone number listed above
Sincerely,
*** ***

Dear Sir or Madam: Please see the attached full response from APS. Thank You, Traci D*** APS Consumer Advocate

In response to Traci Dean on APS's behalf I want to straighten a few facts out. First: I did give APS permission to allow *** *** to make dicisions on my accountI did not accept any responsibility for her personal debtsI wanted her to be able to make decisions for me when or if I was out of town on bills or services.Second: The letter I received threatening me of shutting my services off was just thatPay someone elses bills or we will make you and your kids suffer (threat)APS did shut the power off and ruined all of my refrigerator foods (merry christmas).Third: When I called to have my power restored (never been late on any bills ever) APS forced me to agree to pay *** ***'s bill or they would not turn my power onThey said multiple times that they did not care about me and my family that they wanted paidSo I was forced to agree to a payment plan.Fourth: They sent me MY bill on Thursday the 7th of January (postmarked) along with a payment plan for Christina's billI received it on Monday the 11th (the due date) when I got home from being out of townI paid the bill Tuesday the 12th online (both payments) only to come home to a house with no power AGAINAt this point I called them up again and was told that they wanted the full amount or my power would not be restoredThey claimed that I was late and all deals were offThey made me pay *** and her husband James's electric bill in full $1240.00...Fifth: When Traci D*** from APS called me (January 4th) she told me that I had to give her a bunch of information on *** or they would turn my power offShe wanted her address, lease information, etcShe also wanted my lease information and wanted it all the next day? *** is not employed by me anymore and she doesnt respond to me either so how and why am I responsible for APS's lack of investigations from their past customers? Traci acts like I have control of *** when I do notI gave them her phone number which was all that I had and *** gave them her address but APS would not work with her on paymentsSo from what I got out of it was that since I knew *** I am responsible for her bills and they forced me to pay it.APS's practices are crooked and I plan to make sure that they pay for their actionsI am not responsible for other peoples responsibilities just as no one is responsible for mineAPS caused me and my family physical and mental anguish and its going to be spread to all to hear and knowAfter the Attorney General finishes up their investigation and my lawyer blows this up I hope the newspapers prints this on the front page

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID *** and find that this resolution would be satisfactory to meI have attached a copy of the payment confirmation showing the payment was made on the account in the agreed upon time frame on 2/12/However, as of today 2/20/there has been no change on any of the Credit Bureaus. I will wait until for the business to perform this action and, if it does, will consider this complaint resolved

I am
so disappointed that APS is still not able to refund my additional payment sooner It has been outrageously long since they took the double payment and it has long ago cleared my credit union They should be paying me interest for as long as it has taken Being a senior, living on social security, this has been an extreme hardship on me My problems with APS started on May 16, when I ordered service from my home in California They kept rejecting my transactions, saying that I had provided them with the wrong account number, but NO ONE AT APS would give me an idea what was wrong...was it the Routing Number? Was it a confused number? I called and called many, many times in May and June, prior to arriving here, and asked if someone couldn't help me by telling me what was wrong....I was absolutely helpless...bad customer service, bad policies

APS never attempted to contact meI have two phone numbers on file and both of which have established voice mailsThis shows that they were not truthful in that aspectYes I did contact them to request an extension on payment because as a disabled person my fund are very limited and I can not
have my electricity disconnected APS sent out two bills within a couple of days of each other with the later bill saying that the amount owed was due on the first I had to make a payment arrangement to prevent my electricity from being cut off They can reach me at *** or ***
