THIS IS JUST A SCAM TO CHARGE YOU 59.95 MEMBERSHIP. IT IS A SCAM DO NOT GIVE THEM YOUR CREDIT CARD INFORMATION

Emailed them to cancel my trial membership. Got an email back asking me to take an extension. Replied with no, please cancel. Got another email offering me 6 months at a reduced rate. Replied with no thank you, please cancel. Got a call from them trying to talk me into taking there offers and said no, please cancel. Finally I was told that my account would be cancelled. About a month later I noticed a charge to my account from them for 29.95. Called them and was told that they had sent me another email offer and since I didn't reply they assumed I wanted to not cancel. After 16 minutes, trying to convince them that I want to cancel my account, they finally said that they would cancel my account and refund my money. I will have to wait and see if they come through. Probably going to have to cancel my card to stop them charging it.

I read the company reviews, considered them and decided to take advantage of the free trial offer myself. I found the whole experience to be stress free. The website was easy to navigate. The product selection, description, pictures and most of all allergen information was very helpful. I asked questions and received prompt answers. I placed my order late Monday evening and received it on Wednesday Morning. I do live in California but I thought that was very good. The package arrived with all items ordered, neatly and securely packed. I think that product and company reviews can be helpful be should be done so responsibly, negative and positive. I however, am positively impressed with this company and the positive impact on peoples lives it will have.

Stay away from Thrive. The only one thriving here is them! Cancellation policy is a joke. Although they convince the Revdex.com they were taking steps to remedy their deceptive practices Last Year...they have not. My beef is the same as so many others...after requesting cancellation of trial membership I received a bait and switch email offering a 29.95 6 month membership...when I didn't reply immediately..within 4 days they charged by credit card the $29.95. Deceptive, unethical, victimizing...all that. I did receive my $29.95 when I complained but that's not really the point...it shouldn't have happened in the first place. This is funny...I subsequently received an inquiry about my experience with customer service...ha ha. What worries me is they have my credit card into and did not respond to my request to have all my information deleted in their system. We all should be worried about that..

I was offered a free bottle of Avocado oil for ordering a book and all I had to pay was the shipping of $1.95. Now about 30 days later to the day, my bank account has been charged 59.95 for only God's know what since I did not order any additional products. I am now assuming that they have automatically, without my knowledge of knowing that that would happen, enrolled me in a Thrive Market membership program that I do not want to be in. I have gone to my bank to dispute this surprise charge and am very reluctant to partake in any offers dealing with Thrice Market again!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It looks like they offer some really good deals and people are happy with the product/ service. I don't like it when it's not obvious that ordering means agreeing to a membership. Because I never join any memberships. They don't offer an easy way to cancel your membership when you accidentally end up in the 'trial' phase because you decided to place an order. I only figured out what had happened when my order arrived and a letter thanked me for becoming a member. I had to send a message asking them to cancel my account and delete my information. I know it isn't a scam, but these types of business models are a huge turn off for me. I won't do business with businesses that don't make it really easy to cancel memberships. I'm sorry I placed that first order. I wish I never had.

I've been a Thrive member for over 2 years now and I've never had any issues at all with billing. Customer service is friendly and accommodating. All inquiries have been handled with promptness and diligence.

I received a bill on my charge card today for 59.99 without knowing what this charge was for. I did not approve this charge not sure how this happened. I very upset caused my account nsf charge 29.00. I am requesting a refund.

I ordered diapers on 6/20/2016 and received a note on 6/24/2016 that "sorry we messed up, here is a coupon for $10 off next order over $49 within 30 days". It's NOT ok to wait 4 days to notify a customer that you are not sending a critical item on terms agreed to at time of purchase. I don't need $10 off a future order (if I make one) - I need my items sent expedited. I am not happy - this is not the first time this happened either. Order at your own risk!!

Thrive says that you have a trail period where you can cancel your membership. The issue is that is false advertising. They make it very difficult to find it on the web page where you can cancel the membership. I ended up going to my account and help. I sent in a cancellation notification within the trail period stated. I received something back to acknowledge that. Then a week later I received an alternate offer where they lowered the price of the year membership by 20.00 if I would stay on as a member. I THOUGHT I WAS DONE!! BUT NO!! I sent back an email immediately to tell them to please cancel - that I did not buy enough to justify the membership. Fast forward TWO WEEKS and I was charged on my card 29.95 for the membership anyway. I emailed them back that I wanted my money redeposited in my account right away (and I bet it won't be) and also went yet again to the web page to tell them to do that as well. I am furious I was not listened to and they are so sloppy in their "customer service". I want my money back expeditiously,

I contacted Thrive on 4/3/16 to cancel my trial membership. On 4/4/16, a CSR named [redacted] responded with a counter offer. On 4/4/16, I declined and requested they proceed with canceling my trial. On 4/7/16, after receiving no response, I messaged [redacted] again requesting that he please cancel and confirm when done. On 4/8/16, I messaged [redacted] and Thrive general customer service after receiving an email indicating my trial period would expire soon and that I would be billed $59.95 on 4/10/16. In my message, I explained: "Today, I received an email from Thrive Market indicating that I would be billed $60 on April 10th. I have already contacted Thrive three times requesting to cancel, and this email makes four attempts. I don't appreciate having to make repeated requests. Please cancel my trial membership and confirm when this is done." On April 10, Thrive charged me $60 despite four (ignored) attempts to cancel. I pointed out this charge error on 4/10/16, and, as of 4/12/16, the pending charge was completed anyway. Still no response from Thrive Market as of 4/12/16, which amounts to over a week of refusal to respond.

Hi, [redacted]. I didn't see a response to my most recent request. Please confirm when this is done. I don't want any surprises down the road that I will have to invest time in fixing.

Hi [redacted],

I'm sorry to hear you'd like to cancel your membership. We understand and encourage support of local businesses and farmers markets for your fresh produce.

However, we do hope you'll consider remaining with Thrive Market for your non-perishable needs, such as cleaning supplies, pet care or bath & body items. We add hundreds of new products to our site every month, and our pricing is on average 25-50% lower than other retailers. You'll also find that we offer many products not available elsewhere, along with email promotions for even bigger savings.

Before we cancel your account, we'd like to offer a 6-month membership for $29.95 as an alternative. This shortened membership will allow you the same access to savings without having to commit to the full year's price. This change is already reflected on your account.

However, if you'd prefer not to take advantage of this offer, please reply to this email.

Please let me know if you have any further questions or concerns. We will be happy to help!

Best regards,

Lower prices at Azure Standard ($1.50-$2.00 per pound for organic grains, beans, lentils, peas, and flours) and Trader Joe's ($2.49 for Dr. Bronner's bar soap). My local Robert's Market also frequently has Planet ultra dishwashing liquid on sale for $2.69, although I usually buy both bar soap and dish soap in one shot at Trader Joe's. On top of having lower prices, none of these merchants charge a membership fee either.

This email is a service from Thrive Market.

I canceled my free trial subscription the same day after ordering the free coconut oil offer and a month later I found on my bank statement without any warning from Thrive that I was charged for a year subscription. I tried canceling the subscription through my Thrive account online with no success. Then I tried calling and I got a recorded message that they are not taking calls. I don't know what to do I can't get a hold of anybody from Thrive Market to cancel my subscription to keep it from going into a auto-renewal next year . Thrive Markets business practice is underhanded and deceptive from my experience, I will never recommend to anyone to shop there.

Bait & Switch at its best!!

watch out for their "FREE"" offers + shipping as they trick people into a $59.95 "membership" charge 30 days after they have your CC info!! BAD and DECEPTIVE practices!!

Stay AWAY!!

During my trial membership, my first and second orders had errors. On my first order, my online confirmation receipt clearly stated that the order was arriving via FedEx. Because I live in a secured building, I had to make special arrangements to be home when the FedEx delivery was expected. The order was delivered by UPS, with whom I would not have had to make arrangements to be home for the delivery. On my second order, my online confirmation receipt clearly stated that I had ordered and paid for four items. Upon receipt of my order, I found only three items. The package slip also only indicated three items. I called customer service and spoke with a manager who told me, "Due to Thrive being a company with a small carbon footprint, we cannot ship you only one item." I found this statement to be absurd. I choose not to do business with this company, and I look forward to the refund for my missing item. I also informed the manager that I am neither interested in continuing my trial membership, nor becoming a Thrive member for 59.00. I believe there is enough competition for this online industry for me to find a company that will not require my phone call upon receipt of every inaccurate order. I have lost my faith in Thrive's customer service.

I placed 1 order and received it fine. After price checking around, I found that it was not worth the membership fee as the items I was interested in were not any savings.
I cancelled via email as instructed. I received a response asking if I wanted a discounted price to stay which would be automatic unless I replied. I replied nicely say Please Cancel. Several weeks later I'm checking my cc statement and see a charge from Thrive for $29.95. I immediately emailed again and ask why that I had cancelled. I also received an email thanking me for joining! What? I cancelled! I responded back AGAIN and after a few days received a response to stay at a discounted price. I responded AGAIN that I cancelled and to refund the charge they weren't supposed to charge me. Nothing yet. So my next steps are to report and call my credit card company to have this charge reversed.

DO NOT BE FOOLED BY THIS MISLEADING COMPANY. I saw the offer on [redacted] to get a FREE sample of chocolate/almond bars (only pay shipping $1.95) NEVER at anytime was it made clear to me that I was agreeing to a trial membership for $59.95 after they have your info!!. It is a Bait & Switch scam!!!!!!!!!

I purchased Coconut Oil on their website for a shipping price of $1.95, I then found out that I had activated a free 30-day membership. Actually it was not free, I cancelled my trial membership the SAME DAY that I bought the product, a whole month before my trial ended! The company sent me an email stating that I had cancelled my membership and I would NOT be charged. But here we are 30+ days later and I was charged $59.95. NEVER USE THIS COMPANY, THEY ARE NOT HONEST AND UPFRONT.

Avoid Thrive market. I signed up for the free one-month trail period. I realized that $60 a year won't be worth the savings for our family. I submitted a cancelation request and received an offer saying they'd reduce the fee to $30 for 6-months for me to stay and try it out for a longer period.

I immediately emailed to cancel this promotional offer, only to find out a couple weeks later than my credit card was charged.

It should not be this difficult to cancel membership somewhere. I want a refund but Thrive is making it difficult for that to happen. I may just have to cancel my credit or report them as an unauthorized expense to my bankWHICH THEY ARE because I told them I do not want to be charged.

I can't believe a business would conduct themselves and be this sneakydidn't realize this would still be happening. I will tell all my friends and family about this experience, and warn people to avoid Thrive and their dishonest business practices.

Prices here are more competitive than anywhere else. We checked every item before placing an order. I cant give higher accolades to their customer service team. And their social media Twitter folks reply super quick too!
I don't review anyone I do business with. But this company is simply superior.
Well done on all fronts.

Complete scam. They will charge you for a $60 membership, even though you never signed up for one, and even if you tried to cancel multiple times. They will not respond to any emails you send them. DO NOT SIGN UP FOR ANY FREE SAMPLES, THEY WILL STEAL YOUR MONEY.
