Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me and the matter has been resolved.  Was aware of the online access, but told her I didn't have online access at all times while away.  The paper is being delivered to me at this time.
Sincerely,

Revdex.com:Dear Revdex.com,Thank-you for following up on my complaint.  I appreciate you taking the time to do this.  I did speak with Kim A[redacted]r on the phone, she was very pleasant and explained that the additional charges were explained in the fine print on the second page of the subscription letter.  I explained that I received a renewal letter from the THR approximately 5 days after they stopped delivering the paper and still couldn't find the disclaimer and since I don't get the paper anymore I couldn't check page 2.She did offer to continue sending the paper but I declined.  I feel that if they're subscription letter says they are going to deliver the paper for 13 weeks for $39.99 they should do that.  I've since subscribed to a different paper and no longer wish to receive the THR.

As a carrier, I contend with THR bundles that are in appalling condition: torn, obvious differences in content (thickness) and dirty. They also drop late more often than not, creating an issue with delivering on time. I understand that carrier services vary (we contract with distribution companies not THR directly) but there are many who do take their contract and delivery placement seriously. I recently spoke with a customer who told me that she did not lodge a complaint, yet, I received two complaints along with a repeat complaint charge. It seems that THR squeezes money from both ends: the distribution company (which comes out of the carrier pay-out) AND the customer (charging for 'extras' in the paper).

The Times Herald Record practices deceitful billing practices. Check your monthly credit card statements! They tell you that they bill on a 28 day month cycle. Erroneous! My statements reflected billing every 19, 22, 25 days at most - never 28 over the course of a year! When I cancelled our subscription effective immediately (and had just been billed for service) I was billed again 4 days later in advance of another months service. Customer service also leaves much to be desired - long wait times on the phone and reps with an indifferent attitude. Other friends who subscribe and pay monthly confirmed the above when I called the matter to their attention. They too cancelled auto pay subscriptions - buyer beware!

For 5 weeks now I have not received my sunday paper. Talked to customer service and to supervisor-still no paper. Times HErald record delivery people stink. My neighbor gets a paper. They are taking my money. They have told me that they would have a district manager contact me several times, no one has called me.

Review: I have had consistent problems with the delivery of my newspaper. Problems include not receiving it, receiving only part of the paper, the paper not being delivered by the guaranteed time and receiving a paper other than the Times Herald Record. (Sometimes I have been given the [redacted] Post instead). This has been a consistent problem for me. I have contacted the newspaper many times and have filed complaints. I have asked to talk to a supervisor and I am always told that there is no supervisor working or they are in a meeting. I am always told that a supervisor will call me back but no one ever does. I am always told that a paper will be redelivered to me that day and it never happens. I have asked for a refund but I am always told that they can only add an extra day to my subscription. This is an ongoing subscription that is prepaid on my credit card so there is no way for me to tell if a day is added or not. The representatives tell me that they cant verify it for me either.Desired Settlement: I want to receive monetary credit for my missed papers. I also expect my paper to be delivered on time and to be the Times Herald Record and to be a complete newspaper. I also expect that if there is a problem, that I will receive a redelivery the same day that I call.

Run far away! Newspaper companies no longer deliver the paper. I have an awful delivery person that never delivers the paper on time. The Times Herald Record never does anything about it either! They continually tell me that a manager will contact me and it never happens.

AWFUL CUSTOMER SERVICE. AWFUL DELIVERY. AWFUL AWFUL AWFUL.

Review: I have had several occasions where my paper didn't show up or came wet when I call to complain the paper carrier would retaliate by delivering 5 to 10 page papers with almost all of it missing.I have spoke to at least 3 managers at the times herald record and the problem seems to keep persisting, I even received a nasty hand written letter from the paper carrier telling me my paper is delivered perfect everydayDesired Settlement: I just want a news paper delivered everyday without problems and maybe a new paper carrier since this one doesn't do its job correctly

Review: IApproximately seven days ago my husband and I started to have a problem with the delivery service of Times Herald Record. Unfortuantely upon calling for almost seven days straight, in which the situation was not corrected., I decided to cancel the service. I have been with Times Herald Record for over 10 years. I have had in the past a delivery problem with them some years back over the service, and I canceled. In my service I requested approximately two years ago to have the paper placed on the porch, although that had stopped at least a year ago I had no problem with it being thrown in the driveway as long as it was there in the morning. However, it is an inconvience for us to call every morning for a re-delivery of the morning newspaper after we have left for the day is not acceptable. What is more not acceptable is to inform me because it was prepaid ($97.50) it is nonfefundable. For a buisness to cancel a service if you do not pay but does not provide a refund if they do not provide a service that is promise, is a scam. I trusted them as I have over they years to deliver my paper or never would I have prepaid, I use the option for better rate with Times Herald Record.Desired Settlement: Refund for the full amount of $97.50 paid on November *, 2015.
