RE: Complaint # *** *** *** Mr***, Security Service Federal Credit Union appreciates the opportunity to clarify a few points on your responseIn most cases, you are covered for a period of up to days under your current policy, if and only if you replace an existing vehicle on that policy with the newly purchased vehicle and maintain that same policyIf you initiate a new policy or switch to a new insurance company before adding the newly purchased vehicle to the old policy, that vehicle remains un-insured for the period before the new policy was in forceThe cost of the collateral protection insurance that was placed on your Toyota Sequoia is a direct cost the credit union incursThe insurance is considered high risk and is priced by the insurance carrier to reflect that riskWe do not control the cost, nor does the credit union mark up the cost to our membersIn short, the policy in question was for the time period between September 3, and October 5, Because it is a high risk, force placed policy, it is more expensive than traditional insuranceThe cost is passed directly on to our members and not, in any way, marked up by SSFCUI hope this clarifies the situationThank you for providing us the opportunity to present the facts regarding this accountSSFCU makes every attempt to resolve any issues our members may have*** *** ***, Asset Recovery Supervisor, welcomes the opportunity to discuss any further questions with our memberMs*** *** may be reached via email at ***@ssfcu.org Sincerely, *** ** *** Assistant Vice President Security Service Federal Credit Union Tell us why here

7/28/15*** ***Revdex.com RE: *** *** *** (Complaint filed July 20, 2015) Dear ***,In response to the Revdex.com’s inquiry on behalf of ***, I initiated a thorough review to provide a timely anddetailed response to youSecurity
Service received notice that *** filed for Chapter Bankruptcy on April 30, Upon notification, the credit union is strictly prohibited from any activity related to collecting on his past due accounts, including past due notices by mail, online, or over the phoneThe credit union remains fully compliant with these regulations*** decided to retain his vehicle and set up recurring payments through our online banking portal; however, any paymentsmade were applied to his past due balance Our secure online banking website posted his payments and displayed the next payment due date. The transaction history screen would have detailed the late fees, indicating a past due status. We always listen to our members’ feedback and will certainly consider ***’ suggestion to clearly show any past due balance alongwith the payment details in our online banking portal. We continuously work to enhance our members’ experience and have forwarded thissuggestion to our Online Banking Team for further review.I invite *** to contact *** *** by email at *** or give him a call at *** to address any possible credit bureau issues.I appreciate the opportunity to personally address this matter.Regards, *** ** ***Senior Vice President, Member Service
