I desperately needed my DD-214 for a VA Home Loan I was getting so that I could buy a home. Touchstone Research Group claims to be the fastest way to obtain copies of military records so I entrusted them to do my records search.
I paid extra for their 24 hour digital delivery option so that I could get my records as soon as possible and have not received them and it has been over 72 hours since my order has been in processing. I still haven't gotten the paperwork that I had asked for and it is well outside of the 24 hour time frame that their company claims they can deliver their services in.
If you or anyone you know needs to get a DD2-14 or other military records I would personally advise anyone not to use Touchstone Research Group's services. They have proven to not be any faster than the NPRC, or the VA which are both free services.

ordered originally with this business.  The business did not refund my client nor did they offer any apologies.  They have a history of bad customer service and complaints and for good reason.  Their services are well below standard and their lack of communication is extremely frustrating.

I submitted a request to Touchstone Research Group on 7/**/2015. After 3 responses from touchstone they stopped answering request for updates. I have called and sent a request to them 5 times and no response and they have not provided the [redacted] I requested.

I placed an order for my documents in May. They did send over an email requesting further information as I responded that day. Never to hear back. FOUR Months later I'm still in desperate need of the form and have sent many emails. They did respond and said they left me a message (which they didn't), but kept asking if I still would like to proceed with my order, and I repeated several times "yes" I need it. They have no compassion for customer service, lack of respect, and seriously false advertising on the time frame they say. Especially when paid for "express service". Guess I should have read the review first!! Four months later and still no documents, no apologies, no refund, no partial refund. Nothing.

I paid $9.95 To Touchtone Research to locate my DD214 on 8/*/2016. Then on 9/*/2016 sent an email that failed; email address not valid. My mistake for trusting this company.

We did receive our order, finally weeks after we placed our order, but we are still not happy with the service that Touchstone Research Group LLC sold.  Touchstone sold us "[redacted] overnight and same day download service" of our DD214, although it took weeks to receive a copy of our DD214. This was after many complaints and support tickets logged to Touchstone Research. They originally indicated that we did not pay for our order (which we did pay for it), therefore they didn't process our order which caused the delay, and then they indicated that the vendor was having delays because of reorganization -- but they still sold the [redacted] overnight and same day download service and would not cancel our order or refund the $75 [redacted] overnight fee.  The advertising of their services is misleading, and they indicate the "fine print" in the FAQ explains there might be delays. They should not sell "[redacted] overnight ($75) and same day download service" if they cannot provide this.We received our order, although we cannot recommend Touchstone Research Group LLC because of their misleading sales tactics.Sincerely,[redacted]

I still feel due to late nature of resolution that wrongful...

actions on their part were done due to the fact of time sensitive resolution was what I had paid for.  Furthermore since I had to obtain the document in question by my own means, false advertisement comes to my mind.

Terrible service. They never return e mails and calls. They send form notices that have nothing to do with the Dd214.I paid for express service. The only thing that was express is when they took my money. I fired them after 2 months, The company is the worst ! They also sent e mails addressed to my late dad and couldn't correct the situation.

Review: We have been trying to reach someone about getting our DD214 for the past week. We were supposed to receive in 2-3 days because we paid expedited shipping. The worst part is that they will not answer our phone calls or respond to e-mails. The only way we could talk to someone is if we were to say that we were trying to initiate a new order, but even then she said she had no information on existing orders.Desired Settlement: Credit to account

1. requested that we research his military separation records; he purchased a service, not a product, not merchandise which can be re-shelved; we cannot restock and resell our research time and effort;

2. affirmatively accepted our Terms of Service at [redacted]

3. pursuant to our Terms of Service, no guarantee of success is provided and all sales are final – no refunds are allowed particularly for downloadable products; the client has paid us for our efforts to research, the results of our service are always uncertain;

4. notwithstanding our TOS, the service description page for the service which he ordered clearly states that we cannot be held responsible for the delays of third parties, the government records repositories. We provide typical delays of the facilities. See: [redacted] We also discuss delays in our Frequently Asked Questions, No.2, at: [redacted]

5. signed a Request Pertaining to Military Records. In this document our client appoints us as an Attorney in Fact, and “ratifies and confirms all of our actions” in regard to

this order. Her Request Form is attached, POA at bottom;

6. We immediately commenced our research. We assigned a researcher and submitted her Request Form (w/POA) to the Federal records facility September **, 2013;

7. Since we have not heard from the facility, upon information and belief, the records facility has provided [redacted] his military record based on our submission,The AHRC's standard processing procedure, directly – satisfying his need for this record. This is not an uncommon procedure given the nature of the urgent request. However, should the facility respond to our additional submission, we will immediately inform our client of their response.

We retrieve most records within 2 – 4 days. Some cases are exceptions. Potential facility delays are identified prominently within our ToS, service description and FAQ pages at our website. And when the facility provides the record directly to our client based on our submission, our service is completed.

Nevertheless, since our service was provided within both our Terms of Service as well as the service description page, and FAQ,, we have fulfilled entirely our obligation. Any delay – beyond our control – or his receipt of his record directly from the facility does not negate the service which we have indeed performed.

Review: Placed an order (No. [redacted]) and paid for Express (3-day) service to acquire DD-214 document at a cost of $127.85 on ** June, 2015.

1. The company is unreachable (have spent several hours aver the last week trying to get a person on the phone).

2. Company waited 2-business days to inform me they had not received required "Request Pertaining to Military Records" which was provided to them on the [redacted] of June.

3. No delivery of document.Desired Settlement: This company falsely advertises service, is completely unresponsive and fails to deliver. They should refund my money, stop advertising something they cannot deliver, and be available to their customers.
