Review: Below is email I sent to [redacted] on November 19th:Dear Town Fair Customer Service:I brought my [redacted] to Town Fair Tire in [redacted] on November 12th, because I had a slow leak in the front driver side tire. When I pulled in at 7:45 the tire pressure for the front driver side tire read 29. I had filled it up 3 times in prior 6 weeks, and the tire pressure reading ranged from 24-34. Upon completion of the work, I was told there was no tire pressure sensor in the front driver side tire. For the first time the TPMS alert signal went on as I left Town Fair that morning. I made a subsequent appointment this week with [redacted] to replace the sensor. I have attached an image of the stem and where the sensor was. Their conclusion was the sensor was torn off during the work at Town Fair Tire on the 12th, since nothing there was a tire pressure reading prior to the visit and the alert light went on after the work was completed. My family has been a loyal customer to Town Fair Tire in [redacted] over the years, and I would ask you review my complaint. I elected to submit my claim via this channel, since I don't believe the statement that there was no sensor in the front driver side tire is accurate. I believe Town Fair Tire should be responsible for the cost to replace the sensor or $236.25. I have attached my invoice from the 12th at Town Fair Tire and today at [redacted]. I look forward to you response on this matter.Sincerely,[redacted]I have yet to receive a response.Desired Settlement: I had the sensor replaced by [redacted] for a cost of $236.25. I attached the invoice in my email to Customer Service at Town Fair Tire. I can forward with this claim if of interest? In addition I included an image of the broken sensor with my original email.I believe the $236.25 is fair to resolve this matter.

Review: I Bought 4 [redacted] radials brand new paid for them and installation and all. It has been about 9 months roughly. ! of the tires sidewall blew out and at that point I noticed all 4 tires were EXTREMELY weather cracked after only 9 months. In that 9 months I had heart surgery lost my job and haven't been driving much and I never go off roading. I own a [redacted]. Town fair tire told me they don't warranty that tire cause it is a mass produced basically "crap" [redacted] tire. So I paid for a new tire and balance and mount when I have no income. I spoke to [redacted] corporate and they emailed me that in fact it should have been warrantied. and that all [redacted] have a 4 year weather crack guarantee yet town fair would not honor it. So now I am back and forth with [redacted] and tols them how town fair employees called there tire junk. I spent a lot of money on these tires and they will not honor the warranty that [redacted] themselves emailed me from corporate. Now town fair is telling [redacted] they no longer want to deal with me and I have to drive to a [redacted] corporate store to get the tires changed and I am out of the money I spent on a tire that should have been warrantied. The salesman lied to me and then made me buy new tire. What a despicable way to run a business. The reason I said yes it involves a health issue is because the 3 tires still rotting beneath my vehicle I am scared they will blow at anytime. I have soft top [redacted] and there is no protection. I have a 21 yr old brother and 19 year old [redacted] sister that I drive around to places and appointhments. If I am on a highway and a front tire blows suddenly at 65-70 chances of injury to me or others are very very highDesired Settlement: I want The rest of my tires changed out under the warranty [redacted] told me I had. I do not feel safe on them. Instead of giving me money back for the one tire They can just change my spare. That would be the 3 dry rotted (weather cracked under the 4 year warranty and the one I paid for when I didn't have they can put on my spare tire and I will be happy. The next step after this is calling the [redacted] and luckily my mom has connections to [redacted] and I will let everyone know how they scammed me out of money. But I will not deal with [redacted] store ever again as they lied and all they did was tell me how poor of a tire I bought even though lists for $120 a piece. They never said that when I originally purchased them

Response:

We sincerely apologize for the issue Mr. [redacted] is having with the tires. I spoke with the store this afternoon they state they never told [redacted] that we no longer wished to service Mr. [redacted]The associate there states that the one tire appeared to be damaged by road hazard and the other 3 had some minor cracking. They felt the cracking was not warrantable issue however at this point we will gladly pro rate the tires per the [redacted] warranty. As for the tire with the questionable damage we will pro rate that tire based on mileage and refund for the credit on that tire as well. Mr. [redacted] would just need to contact [redacted] at the store and he will arrange the credit and /or refund.Sincerely,

Ounce on the side of the building his anger was very aparent when I asked how he came up with the list of parts to be replaced. he Chris got uncomfortably close, but, then stepped away and said f--- you. and went back inside. The manager followed me to my car to appoligze for what he said was inapproprate behavier of his machanic, and he would have that machanic come out and appoligze to me . I refused. Desired Settlement: refund on deposit for ordered tires and wheels, aliengment charges. compinsation for loss of use of vehical, time and stress. I have not recieved any refund, for monies given for product or service. Also compensation for this inconvience.I spoke with a company district manager "[redacted]. He said he would review my complaint/ request, and call me . I have not recieved that call.I'm preparing to bring my complaint, to the small claims court. Unless this this can be resolved in a timely manner.

Business Response /* (4000, 9, 2013/05/22) */

Dear MR. [redacted],

My office refunded all deposits and charges. Case is closed as far as we are concerned. Repairs made to your vehicle are not our responsibilty.

Review: Purchased tires for my personal vehicle in October of 2014. Part of the service included is rotation of the tires every 5000 miles. The first rotation at 5000 miles the shop in [redacted] threaded the lug nuts and was unable to repair at their shop, I was without my vehicle for two days while it was repaired at their cost. Since then I have taken the car back twice to have the tires rotated, the first time I was told they had been done, but upon inspection of the tires that I had marked they were in fact not rotated. I called and spoke with the Manager who apologized and asked me to come back the following day, I did and again my studs were stripped and broken causing another trip to the garage they use for these types of issues. When I drove to the garage in [redacted], with only three of five lug nuts holding my tire on the car (Very unsafe) I asked why I was again having the same issues with the broken studs, I was told that Town Fair Tire does a poor job and rushes the work causing these types of problems. I have called the corporate office five times, left several messages without a return call back to me. My vehicle is a 2008 [redacted] that I have taken very good care in it's maintenance, at this point Town Fair Tire has made my car unsafe to drive. The car shakes extremely bad at speeds of 55 - 60 MPH - All I want is to have my car completed at the local [redacted] dealership (At Town Fair Tires expense) So that I know the vehicle is safe to drive the 100 mile commute that I make daily for my employer. I also have my two children in my car, I no longer feel that the car is safe for them.Desired Settlement: To have all studs and lug nuts inspected by a reputable garage. I cannot afford to constantly worry about the safety of myself and my family when we ride in this car.

Business

Response:

To whom it may concern,We have been contact with Mr. [redacted] prior to receiving this complaint. We have already agreed to have the dealer inspect and replace studs and lugs as needed per Mr. [redacted] request. IT's unclear how the issue got this point however we are addressing this with the store.Sincerely,[redacted] Town Fair Tire Customer Service

Sincerely,

Review: On Jan 3, I went to Town Fair Tire, [redacted], CT to replace my tire. I checked in my car at 9:20AM, and was told that my car would be ready by 11AM. I left the store for other affairs and called back at 11AM. I was told the car was not ready until 11:30AM. I said I would have to leave for NYC at 11:30AM and they confirmed it would be ready by then. At 11:30AM, I went back to the store and was told they needed extra 45 minutes. I asked if I could ask my friend to pick up the key and I would drive the car the next day (Jan 4). They said OK. (They are not open on Jan 4).

At 12:15PM, I got a text message to my cellphone that the car was ready. My friend went to pick up the key at 2PM.

The next morning I went to the store and found my car was not there. I called police and found that the car was towed. I was told that the car was parked on private property of [redacted], the next door, at [redacted], CT. I was charged $282 for towing.

Town Fair Tire had plenty of space in their own backyard but they parked my car in a place belonging to [redacted].

In addition, after being towed, my car's catalytic converter was ruptured and dropped off, hanging and shaking there. It created a lot of noise and vibration.

There is a friend sitting in my car before I sent my car to Town Fair Tire, he could confirm that the car had no issue with catalytic converter before.

I asked my car dealer ([redacted]) and was told a 5 year old [redacted] with 80,000 mileage shall have no problem with catalytic converter unless a major impact. It could cost more than $800 to replace/repair, if this is only mechanical issue.

I wasted the whole day of Jan 4 to look for my car and later troubleshoot my car. And I am working in Boston and was in Norwalk, CT only for the weekend. I had to leave on Jan 4 (Sunday). I had to borrow a car from my friend and left my car in her place. She was also spending the whole following Monday representing me negotiating with the towing company and Town Fair Tire. Obviously Town Fair Tire was not ready to do anything for us.

Had Town Fair Tire parked my car in their own parking space, I would have had no issue with my car. I wish Town Fair Tire could be Fair, as their name claims, and take responsibility for my expense in towing and the cost in repairing my car. Thanks!Desired Settlement: I wish Town Fair Tire could be Fair, as their name claims, and take responsibility for my expense in towing and the cost in repairing my car. Thanks!

Business

Response:

Dear Customer,

In response to your complaint out of good faith I will authorize the reimbursement for the tow. Whoever picked up the keys was told the car needed to be moved otherwise it would be towed. Any damage to your vehicle was done prior to us replacing the tire. The tire was replaced because the vehicle ran over something. The wheel was bent and my staff said there was other damage resulting from some type of impact prior to arriving at our shop. Please forward a copy of the invoice for the tow and we will send a check to your home address.

Thank you, [redacted]

Review: [redacted]

I am rejecting this response because:

Review: Unsatisfied with explanation that manager [redacted] in Norwich seems to think new tires shift on rims when new, at higher speeds, causing the vibration.

On Mar. 18, 2013, I bought 4 tires at the Norwich, Ct. facility. They were BALANCED, and aligned, a couple weeks later when I drove to Fall River, Ma., I noticed vibration under the car. I didn't think at all the tires were at fault, being as I just got new ones with balancing and alignment. I started thinking it might be something else. I took the car to my mechanic, Deal Automotive, in Plainfield, Ct. He took the tires off, didn't see any problems, so he spinned them on a tire balance. He told me all 4 tires needed balancing. I was charged $50 for labor. When I got back to Norwich to TFT, the manager, [redacted] told me I should have brought the car back to have them balanced. Well, after the complete job I got at the tire store, I told him I didn't think the problem should have been in the product they sold me. He told me new tires can "shift" on the rims after passing 60 MPH, causing the balance to go out. Why didn't someone tell me that when I bought them? Then I would have expected it to happen and promptly brought the car back. People I've talked to never heard of tires shifting on the rims at higher speeds. Neither did I. I'm 65 and that has never happened to me. He gave me no satisfaction, instead expected me to know that the balancing was at fault, WHEN THEY SHOULD HAVE BEEN BALANCED! The only 2 invoices I have are dated 4/1/2013. The mileage on the original one (inv. #XXXXX) was wrong (XXXXX+, typed in as XXXXXX+). That was corrected with a new invoice (#XXXXX-XXX). I had an alignment rechecked after my mechanic, mentioned above, changed a tie bar (as requested by your people), thus a new invoice (#XXXXX-XXX). I do not have the original invoice with all itemized costs, as they kept that one. There are my grievances...I hope this can be resolved in some way. Desired Settlement: Some kind of reimbursement....not necessarily monetary

To Whom It May Concern;I sincerely apologize for the issue Mr[redacted] had at the store with the managerThe manager should have been nothing short of polite and professional the entire timeHe also should have followed up with Mr[redacted] throughout his visit and kept him updated on the status of his vehicleWe do take appointments and they are given priority over walk-insThis also should have been explained when MrAmbia was written upI will be sure to address this with the manager and the storeSincerely,Rich A[redacted] Town Fair Tire

Review: I called the store to inquire / order a set of tires. I was quoted over the phone a price and I asked is that the entire price? and was told yes except for tax. I arrived on 5/31 and now was told that I must have been quoted a price with a rebate. I was then charged for stems and balancing when the sign says included with tire purchase. I was quoted 552 before tax but ended up paying 600 plus tax.Desired Settlement: When a customer is quoted a price it should be the price.

Business

Response:

Dear Mr Casey,

We sincerely apologize our sales associate handling your sale did not thoroughly explain the option of balancing and vale stem replacement 2 very important aspects of your tire replacement and safety. I will see to it as a courtesy we refund you 67.80 from invoice [redacted] dated 5/31/14. As I stated earlier it is an option we highly recommend. The option is explained on our web site that it is not included and to my knowledge it is not posted as included in any of our stores or our web page. Your refund will come from here in the home office in the form of a check directly to the address on your invoice.

Bought a car new, after 30k miles replaced tires with them because after multiple alignments it wouldn't stop shaking, shaking continued with new tires for 20k miles until finally they noticed one rim was bent. So I brought it in with a spare rim and had them swap it out, got in the car and heard thumping like a rock as soon as I moved the car. A nice bolt in the tire from them, immediately I turned around brought it back and was told "We don't do tire repairs or plugs". It says on the website "Free tire repair". Drove down to auto zone got a plug, pulled over and did it myself.

Review: I bought four tires in Town Fair Tire ([redacted]) on 11/04/2013. They said I would get free front wheel alignment since my car is [redacted] which is front wheel drive. However, they charged me $49 for alignment. I just realized today after checking my receipt.Desired Settlement: Refund me $49 for wheel alignment since this service is supposed to be free. I prefer a check.

Business

Response:

To Whom It May Concern; We apologize for the confusion on our alignment policy with [redacted].

There

are three different types of alignments the first being the alignment we give

for free with the purchase of tires which is a front wheel alignment or

centerline alignment. This was the only alignment available at the time when we

started doing alignments over 35 years ago we offered it for free then and

still do today. With this alignment the computer draws an imaginary line down

the center of the vehicle and aligns the two front wheels according to that. As

time went on the alignment machines got better and the way the vehicles were

made got better as well so we are able to take more measurements off of the

vehicle and make more adjustments to the vehicles the manufacturers came out

with the thrust angle alignment. This alignment takes the measurements off of

the rear wheels and aligns the front wheel according to how the rear sits.

Since this alignment involves more measurements and adjustments than the

centerline alignment we charge $49.00 for it.

Now there are vehicles that require a 4 wheel alignment. With this

alignment we align the rear wheels first and then align the front wheels

according to how the front wheels sit. We charge $49.00 for this alignment as

well. The [redacted] Fit takes a 4 wheel alignment however [redacted] could have done just the free front wheel alignment if he wished. This should have been explained at the time of service. As a courtesy for the poor explanation we will gladly refund him for the alignment. We send the refund to the address he provided.Sincerely,Rich A[redacted] Town Fair Tire Customer Service

Review: Approximately 4 years ago I purchased snow tires from I believe the town fair tire in [redacted], Ct. Three years ago, I took advantage of their free snow tire change over, I believe at their [redacted] location. Last year I didn't use them. This year, I tried to bring them into the [redacted] location to have them remounted on my car. I've looked up snow tires and in general you can use them for at least 3 years. When my car was being aligned, the tech came out and told me that he couldn't put them on my car because of a safety issue. I asked what was the safety issue and was told that the belt in the tire had shifted and it was no longer usable. The tech told me this happens when the tire is mounted facing one way then remounted facing the other. My concern is the only place that ever remounted these tires was infact town fair and now I'm responsible for replacing tires that should have been able to be used at minimum one more year, due to faulty installation. The tech also brought me tire and said there was a spot that was unsafe. Three days after first purchasing the tires, I hit a ice chunk that caused a tear. I brought it back to [redacted] because I had purchased I believe the road warranty and was told it was fine at that time and the tire didn't need to be replaced. Now I'm being told it does and is unsafe. If it's unsafe now, it was unsafe then. Inevidable I ended up buying new tires yesterday and spending approximately $260 when I was supposed to be able to take advantage of their "free" service.Desired Settlement: I'd like the snow tires replaced.

Business

Response:

Dear [redacted], I apologize you are experiencing issues with the snow tires purchased back on 02/03/11. The snow tires are unidirectional so therefore no matter which way or location they should perform their function without issue. Regardless as a courtesy I will issue you a 50% credit based on the original purchase amount. I will have our customer service send you reimbursement for 79.00.That is credit on the tire price only.

Review: ON MAY 22.2015 I TOOK MY [redacted] TO TOWN FAIR TIRE FOR AN ALIGNMENT I SPECIFICALLY ASKED HIM ABOUT THE RIGHT CAMBER BEING ADJUSTED WITH THE ALIGNMENT HE([redacted]) TOLD ME THAT THE ALIGNMENT WOULD FIX ALL ISSUES WITH THE CAMBER I SAID GREAT HE THEN ASKED IF I WOULD LIKE TO PAY AHEAD AND THAT WAS ONE OF MY MISTAKES BECAUSE WHEN HE CAME BACK WITH MY CAR THAT I HAD ALREADY PAID FOR HE PROCEEDED TO TELL ME THAT THE ALIGNMENT WAS NOT COMPLETE BECAUSE THEY DIDNT DO MECHANICAL WORK THERE AND IN ORDER FOR THE ALIGNMENT TO BE COMPLETE I HAD TO TAKE MY CAR TO ANOTHER MECHANIC TO DO THE MECHANICAL WORK.MEANING I HAD TO PAY ANOTHER MECHANIC TO FINISH HIS WORK THAT I PAID FOR WHEN HE SPECIFICALLY TOLD ME THE ALIGNMENT WOULD TAKE CARE OF THE ISSUE. I TOOK MY CAR AND ABOUT A WEEK LATER I TOOK MY CAR TO [redacted] TO GET THE MECHANICAL WORK DONE SO I CAN TAKE IT BACK TO TFT AND MY MECHANIC TELLS ME THAT THERE IS NOTHING TO DO THERE AND WASNT GONNA CHARGE ME I TOLD HIM WHAT TFT SAID HAD TO BE DONE AND HE SAID NO IT DIDNT THEY SHOULD HAVE FINISHED THE JOB. SO I GO BACK TO TFT ON 5/30/2015 TO EXPLAIN TO THE GUYS WHAT MY MECHANIC SAID AND I SPOKE TO [redacted] WHO THEN WENT TO GET THE MGR [redacted] WHO THEN PROCEEDED TO TELL ME THAT MY MECHANIC DIDNT KNOW WHAT HE WAS DOING I ASKED HIM FOR A REFUND HE TOLD ME STRAIGHT OUT NO HE SAID THE ALIGNMENT WAS DONE AND HE COULD NOT DO NOTHING FOR ME I SHOWED HIM ALL THE DOCUMENTS THAT I HAVE STATING THAT MECHANICAL WORK WAS NOT NECESSARY I ASKED ANOTHER TECH AND HE ALSO SAID THEY SHOULD HAVE NEVER CHARGED ME BECAUSE IT WAS NOT COMPLETED.ALL I WANT IS MY MONEY BACK BECAUSE I PAID FOR A SERVICE THAT WAS NEVER RENDEREDDesired Settlement: I JUST WANT MY MONEY BACK SO THAT I CAN GET MY VEHICLE ISSUE DONE COMPLETE AND CORRECT

Review: On 08/10/2013, I purchased (4) [redacted] for a new set of rims for my 2009 [redacted] at your [redacted] location. The services also included Computer Balancing, Valve Stems and Alignment of front and rear wheels. The [redacted] team installed the new rims and tires to my liking. However, I am disappointed because when they placed my old rims and tires in my car they placed 2 of them in my rear seat. It wasnt until I got home and removed the tires that I saw the damage they caused to my rear seat. (I have taken pictures on the day of the occurance) The rubber, dirt, grease marks and impressions they made to my rear seat belts and seats have not completly been removed after multiple cleanings. I was not asked permission to place the dirty tires in my rear seat before doing so.Desired Settlement: To resolve the issue I am looking for Town Fair Tire to cover the cost of a full professional detail to remove the marks, impressions made to the leather interior. Review: I made an appointment to have a Wheel alignment done on my 2005 [redacted] F-150. My wife brought the truck in to have the alignment done and they tried to charge her $105 for the alignment when their online ad says it's $69.00. When my wife questioned it they said that the extra charge was for wheel balancing and other services that I never asked for. After going back and forth and showing them the online ad on her smart Phone they finally honored the $69.00 price. So as punishment for questioning the price they let her sit there for an hour and never touching the truck while they took customers in front of her. She was talking with a guy who said he didnt have an appointment and he told her they were taking him ahead of her. She finally left after an hour. Town fair Tire is nothing but a bunch of thugs that add hidden costs to their services and people should know what they are in for when they do business with them!!Desired Settlement: I want the alignment done on my truck as advertised!! without waiting an hour for service that I made an appointment for......So I wouldn't have to wait an HOUR!!!!!

Business

Response:

To Whom It May Concern; We sincerely apologize for the issue Mr. [redacted] wife experienced. With an appointment we normally figure 15 to 30 minutes to get you in the bay and with an alignment 20 to 30 minutes to do the work provided there are no issues with the vehicle. If there were an issues in the bay the associate should have notified Mrs. [redacted] immediately and then gave her options on what we could do. At this point we will gladly refund the charge for the services as a courtesy and we will gladly set up another appointment for the [redacted] for another alignment in any of our locations. Review: [redacted]

I am rejecting this response because:

There was absolutely no mention of trying to over charge my wife in the response or the attitude my wife received from their employee! 20-30 Minutes? My wife sat there for an hour!!! There were obviously no issues with the garage bay that they do the alignments in. How do I know? Because they were taking walk in customers and doing their alignments ahead of her! At this point I have already had the alignment done on my truck by another garage. I don't accept the apology, and I will never go back into one of their locations again. I dont want anything from them, I would however like the complaint to remain on the Revdex.com sight as to warn others about the horrible service and possible hidden added charges they try and tack onto their service.

Review: I purchased a tire from the Town Fair Tire in [redacted] on Sept 2nd to do a damaged tire at work.

About a week later I noticed that the tire was losing air pressure.I inflated the tire to the correct air pressure.

Again in about a week later the tire was low.I inflated the tire and checked for nails or other things in the tire.

I found nothing but the tire but it kept losing air. Then I noticed that the air leak was at the valve stem.I took the tire to Town Fair Tire in [redacted] on October 25th.I spoke with the employee at the counter and explained what I found. He charged me $3.95 for a new valve stem. The employee working in the backroom looked at the tire and told me that the rim was rusted and that is why it was leaking.I told him that I paid for a new valve stem and that I wanted it replaced. The employee called over two more workers to take a look at it and they told me that same thing. That the rim was no good. They refused to replace the valve stem saying that it would not solve the problem.I contacted my mechanic who ordered a rim and replace the so called bad rim at a cost of $50.He gave me back the old rim and stated the the rim was not rusted and said it looked like the valve stem was bad.I took the rim back to Town Fair Tire so that I could show him that I was right. The employee had a very poor attitude with me.He stated the employees who looked at the rim we right and I and my mechanic were wrong.I tried to show him where the stem was cut.He took out a pair of cutters and cut off the valve stem and threw it out and put in a new one and stated are you happy now.Desired Settlement: Refund of $50.00

Review: I went into Town fair to purchase tires, they did not give me the lowest price, priced out my tires at $82 for [redacted], I went and got a quote somewhere else and was told they would beat it by 5%, when I brought in the quote they only gave me $ 5 off and said they go upto 5% but that is not guaranteed.

After install of the tires gave me my keys and a lug nut saying it was stripped. Did not tell me that my car was parked around back.

I went to the front of the store and when I dint find my car had to go back in and was told to walk through the shop to the back of the building. This was a 24 degree cold Monday evening in January.

I went to the auto parts store and brought a lug and come to find out they had stripped out the stud.

I was never told that they had stripped out the stud. I had to go back next day and buy a stud.

When I went back into the store to tell them about it and have them put on the stud and the lug they said it was my fault that the stud had stripped out, I feel I was treated unfairly and even though I asked twice to speak with a manager I was told that there was nothing that could be done and no manager came to deal with the situation.

I had to go to the dealership and pay them to change the stud and correct the problem.Desired Settlement: Pay for the parts and labor and my time & gas spent running back and forth because of the problems caused by bad install job.

To Whom It May Concern:This is the first this office is hearing of the issue. Our policy with studs is if the stud breaks while the nut is being removed we are not responsible because it is either from wear and tear or improper installation. If the stud breaks when we are reinstalling the nut we cover it because we may have not installed it correctly. If it broke coming off the customer should have been explained at the time. Since this wasn't properly explained at the store we will gladly cover the replacement. Please have [redacted] contact me at ###-###-#### to arrange to either cover the repair or reimburse him.Sincerely,Rich All** Town Fair Tire

Review: I asked for a specific type of tire ([redacted] Avid Touring S P205/65R15); salesperson placed an order for a different type of tire than the one I requested (185/65R15). There were other additional charges on the account that I did not consent to -- for example, I didn't need a snow tire changeover. When I attempted to cancel the order four hours later, the representatives said that I had to return to the store in-person to have a refund of my $100 deposit to my credit card. The representative of this business was surly and inappropriate with his tone of voice. I do not plan to return to this businessDesired Settlement: Refund the $100 deposit to my credit card. No services were rendered.

Review: I went in to get a four-wheel alignment because I was concern about the shaking of my steering wheel. After the service was completed, the technician told me I did not need an alignment and all that was done is a little touch up. If that is the case, why was I charged 69 dollars for something that was not really needed. After checking the before measurement and seeing that I did not really need an alignment, why go on with the service? That is just talking my money for something that was good to begin with and that is not right. Either way, the car is driving the same way. All this business cares about is taking ones money, even it means charging for a service that is not needed.

Response:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.

Sincerely,

Review: We brought our [redacted] in to Town Fair Tire to have 4 new tires put on, lined up and balanced for $600 dollars. They said all was lined up an balanced. Last week while washing the car I see that the back tires are junk, bald, and unsafe for my wife and Grandchildren to be riding in this car. I contacted the manager at the tire shop, he said to bring it in, I said ther rear is out of line, he said he couldn't line up the back, something frozen.. I said to him, you said you lined all 4 wheels when you put the tires on.. These tires had less than 7000 miles on them, few months old. So we take the car to my mechanic, he says nothing frozen and he calls Town Fair and tells them how to line up the back. So now we bring it back out to Town Fair and some how they say they lined it up in 25 minutes. They printed two fake sheets out in two days on the alignment. They said it is lined up. You can stand aside of the car and see the rear wheels toed in, not straight. This will ruin these tires as well, and the rear is not straight. I emailed this same letter to their customer complaint days ago, and they will not respond. Please advise my next action if I have to persue legal..

Regards,Desired Settlement: We should be reimbursed for my wifes lost time going there 3 time for nothing, False representaion of their product and the deceit of not lining up the car..
