Review: Dan P[redacted] advised us, on 6/11/15, that Tree Pros could remove our existing tree and replace it with an Acacia for $645. We signed the contract and selected 6/22 as our date of delivery. He told us "someone" would call to confirm the time with us. Dan left our house around 3:00pm that Thursday. Surprisingly, the deposit check we gave him then came through our account the next morning!

We waited two days for a call back. When no one called, we left a message the following Tuesday morning. No one called all day, so we called again late Tuesday and were told "they were busy". Apparently, not too busy to cash our check, however. Then, Erin told us the 22nd was not available! So we rearranged our schedules to accommodate theirs and our tree was removed earlier this week. Originally, Dan told us we would be without a tree for "about 3 hours", but the crew earlier in the week said they only took out trees; another crew installed. So we called the office again (Dan only returned one call to us and never any emails) and they told us the tree would be delivered today. Well, the crew shows up to take the stump out, but told us there were NO TREES TO BE FOUND! When were they going to let us know? We called the office again and were told Dan would contact us again to discuss other tree options. He called and said he was sick, but that he would call later in the day. Of course, he didn't.

Because we, too, are very busy people and have an HOA tree requirement, we went looking for the tree ourselves. Of course, we found two different sources and selected one of those. Our cost is about $100 more now because we are in a bind. Dan lied to us about having access to "hundreds of trees"...almost their own private nursery... Had he been truthful about having no trees, we would have waited to pull the other one. We are very disappointed at the misrepresentation though out the entire dealings with Tree Pros.Desired Settlement: We feel it is appropriate for Tree Pros to refund us $100 for misrepresenting the services they could provide.

Response:

I sincerely apologize for the experience this customer has had with our company. With the best of intentions we failed to properly communicate, prepare and deliver the products and services as agreed. For this reason I am refunding the customer's deposit and am not going to charge them for any services already performed. In addition, I am willing try to find the tree the customer had selected, upgrade it to a 24" box size (if available) and plant it for them as originally intended at no cost to the customer. While I can't change what happened in the past, I want to make every effort to do what I can do to make this right with this customer. If anything, I want them to know that although we may not be a perfect company, we own up to our failures and will do our best to rectify the situation as well as use this feedback and experience to improve our communication, processes and procedures in the future.

The guys at Tree Pros did a wonderful job. They were fast, efficient, and very safety conscious. The cleanup after was more then I expected and very thorough. I would use them again and recommend them to all. Satisfied customer.

Review: The tech line installed by Tree Pros was damaged (front yard area) by our neighbor in February, 2015. I contacted Tree Pros to repair the system, they responded and fixed a leak, and I paid them for that. There were no details on the receipt regarding what was repaired. I noticed that the lawn was getting more saturated as the months went on, exacerbating attempts to control the weed “Spurge” which was now taking over the lawn. My landscaper noticed that there were two other leaks in the same area that had been overlooked by Tree Pros. I contacted Tree pros, and a representative came out ([redacted]), looked at the damage and quoted $150 to replace the line in the front yard. Several calls were placed to schedule the repair; calls were not returned. We were finally able to speak with Tree Pros in August and scheduled the repair to be done September 8, 2015. When the representatives arrived, they said that they were not prepared to fix the leaks because they had not been informed by the scheduler that this was the reason for the call. Upon calling Tree Pros, to reschedule, I was told (by [redacted] Sales Manager) that the cost for repair would be $350. The representative said that the original quote was not accurate and that it was one of the reasons that representative had been fired. I telephoned Tree Pros to speak to the General Manager and was referred to the same individual who gave the $350 quote. His comment was that if I was unhappy with the change in quotes, I wasn’t the first customer who was unhappy, and he wouldn’t stand by the original quote. I told him that I had already paid $85 (Feb 23). He had no other resolution.Desired Settlement: Repair at original quoted estimate of $150.00

My first interaction with Tree Pro's was in regards to damage done to my mailbox while they were working on my neighbor's yard/trees. I called and spoke to Yesenia to informed them of the situation. She was understanding and had a field service manager to evaluate the situation and determine next steps. In less than 2 weeks, I had a new mailbox. During this time, there was constant communication to advise the status. I was so pleased with the customer service, I contracted Tree Pros to take care of trimming and cleaning my yard. They are excellent at committing to their customers!

I am always happy with the services tree pros provide. They have taken care of my trees for several years

Review: Luckily I was home sick on May 23 2013 or I would no longer have a mature African Sumac in my front yard. I went outside after hearing chainsaws to find a crew of men proceeding to cut up one of the largest branches (8-10" across) that was now lying on the ground. After finally getting their attention, I was told they were there to cut down my tree. Needless to say they were at the wrong address. How this could ever happen is beyond me. There is no way they could mistake my address for the one they had, they only assumed the sumac they were to cut down was mine and not the neighbor's sumac two houses down. They were somewhat apologetic and I got one of their business cards. I called the office right away & basically got the, "Gee, it was a good thing you were home ha ha..." kind of response. I was told someone in charge would call me back later that day, which they did not. When I called them back, they offered to send a guy out the next day. I showed him where the large missing branch was and the 3 foot long gash they cut into the trunk (about 1/2" deep). He said the tree overall shape still looked okay, (which it does from the front of the house, but the view from my front door is a whole different matter), and then he proceeded to just stand there like, "Well?" I told him that if I had been at work, the tree would have been chipper shredded. He said it was a good thing I had been home. This is not the response I wanted to hear. I said you should either trim my tree for free when it needs it next time or ? He said they could maybe come and deep fertilizer it sometime. Okay. I have waited a month to file a complaint, but as of today, June 30, 2013 I have heard jack squat from them. I wouldn't let them trim my grass much less my tree, but really? Their overall lack of concern was very disappointing and very unprofessional.Desired Settlement: My husband thinks they should plant an additional tree in our yard to make up for the huge branch they cut off. The lovely asymmetrical specimen African Sumac tree that we did have is now only a 2 branch symmetrical tree. I am very particular about trees and never let anyone except qualified people trim mine. The fact that disaster was averted only by sheer chance that I stayed home that day was totally lost on them. At the VERY LEAST they should have sent me something apologizing for their MAJOR SCREWUP and let me know when they would do the deep fertilization. Seeing as how we are in the dead heat of summer, now is not the time to do it, but they should have let me know when they planned on doing it for us in the future.

Response:

As expressed by our staff, we sincerely apologize for this mishap. It certainly was not intentional nor malicious and everyone was indeed relieved that the home owner was home to avoid the entire tree being taken down. I can understand that it may sound different coming out then how it was actually intended, especially to the ones on the receiving end. We take pride in our reputation and take responsibility for our mistakes. Everyone from the crew to the Owner wishes we could go back in time and undo what happened. We did offer to deep root fertilize the tree at no cost. Because of the product we use, we are able to do the tree feeding at this time. The scheduling department thought they were waiting for our Superintendent who discussed the matter with the home owner to confirm a date with them so it could be completed. At this point, we are willing to not only fertilize the tree, but the next time it needs trimmed; if the customer would allow us, we would be willing to trim the tree at no cost. If the customer desires another tree to be planted in their yard, we will honor that request as well in addition to the above. We will await to hear back from this response to move forward with fulfilling any of the above promises.

Review: Damage was done to my property that was not attended too properly.

The company's truck backed over shrubbery that is not able to be repaired, in the same moment they hit a street sign effectively dislodging it from its concrete form holding it in the ground. After contacting the salesperson, it assured me that someone would be out to look at the damage. This individual fluffed up the shrubbery and pulled the post holding the street sign back into place. Now I still have a hole in my shrubbery and the street sign sways in the breeze. I will now need to address this with the city, multiple attempts have been made to re-engage the salesperson, but he will no longer return a call or a text.

The job is incomplete.

After a “miscommunication” in their favor, I agreed to an additional charge to complete the job that I had contracted them to do, and they added on an extra $10 for this service, just because they knew I needed it. They sent that crew out to finish the job and that job was done half way. I attempted to contact the salesperson and was not able to connect. I asked to speak with the General Manager, that individual has yet to call back too. Today, I was charged without my knowledge or consent with a CC that they have on file (not sure how that happened considering that I did not give written authorization for them to store this type of sensitive information.

Again, when I called in today, the individual who answered was nice and genuine. When I was transferred, I was intentionally hung-up on.Desired Settlement: I would like them to finish the job and explain to me why I needed to pay an additional $10 because I was in need.

Heartless bureaucracy hidden behind a smiling face. If they don't do the job right the first time, they will make your life a living hell.

Tree Pros gave me a quote (in writing) to remove the top 15 feet off my 45 ft tree, which was starting to become too large for the house.

The day they arrived, their non-english speaking team cut off a few smaller branches from the top, but removed only the top 5 ft of small, non-threatening branches, rather than the 15 ft I was paying for. I was not home at the time, but my wife recognized that the job had not been done correctly, and refused to pay them. When I arrived home, I did not even notice any work had been done. The before/after pictures were almost the same.

I called them later to say they had not completed the job, but was told I would have to wait for a supervisor to call me back. Nobody called, and I called several times trying to get the issue resolved. Finally, after several weeks of calling them, they sent another arborist to see what had been done, I showed him the previous quote, and the new arborist admitted the tree was rotten, cutting the tree in the first place was useless, and it should have been removed entirely. He even admitted he did not know why they had not mentioned it before. He quoted me a price to remove the tree, almost twice what other companies were charging for the same job.

After the weeks of runaround I did not trust Tree Pros to do the job, and wanted to try another company. I offered to pay Tree Pros half their original price for the tiny, useless job they had done, just to get them to stop calling me. Instead they hounded me with more calls to get me to pay the full amount, and did not seem to even notice I was unsatisfied with their work. I spoke with them at least 6 times in the space of 4 weeks. Each call center agent I spoke to said they did not even see notes on my account about my dispute.

Eventually they called to tell me that if I did not pay, they would send me to collections. They would not let me speak to the manager about my situation, and I never had a chance to talk to anyone in charge about my concerns. They did not seem to care, and did send me to collections, which I am now contesting.

Worst company I've ever worked with. Avoid at all costs.

I would highly recommend Tree Pros!I had a highly unusual and challenging job, which they handled. I had numerous other companies bid on the job and either declined or were going to charge an outrageous amount.they were fast and thorough. They showed up on time, even a little early.

Thank you Tree Pros!!!

Tree Pro's front end service is very professional; the final work left a lot to be desired. The "arborist" who sold the job was very professional. The work was started on time and all went well until I realized the crew was leaving and had left huge stumps and a lot of mess behind. I stopped two of the workers and asked when the work would be completed. With a "smirk", the man said a "clean-up" crew would be around soon. I am left with an unsightly mess and a bill. I have sent an e-mail which has been ignored. Of course, I have received the bill for the 2nd half of the payment (which I have paid). If you use this company, be sure the amount of clean-up expected must be understood completely. I am physically incapable of completing this work myself and will have to pay someone else to clean up Tree-Pro's mess.

They came today to remove a big tree and to trim up our other tree, they did a fantastic job. I was so impressed with how quick and efficient they were. The clean up was impeccable . I would call them again and I would recommend them to take care of any tree service you would need. Great job! Thank you.
