To whom it may concern My name is [redacted] (ss# ending in ***) and I am writing to give permission to Texas guarantee to release my information regarding my account with Texas guarantee to the Revdex.com of Texas in order to resolve an ongoing issue that I have had with Texas guarantee.Sincerely [redacted] ***

I have reviewed Ms [redacted] ( [redacted] ) account in regard to her Revdex.com complaint As indicated in her complaint, she is unhappy with a payment amount originally agreed upon This initial agreement was based on a verbal disclosure that she provided to a Trellis Collections representative Federal regulations governing Trellis' guarantor agreement with the U.SDepartment of Education, found at CFR 682.405, allow for establishment of repayment terms in regard to a rehabilitation agreement, based on a verbal disclosure of adjusted gross income (AGI) from an individual's most recent tax return However, if that information is not verifiable, or supported by documentation later obtained, then that initial agreement, per regulation, is considered null and void and a new payment amount must be calculated.Once documentation was obtained to verify the AGI, it was discovered that the amount initially, verbally, disclosed by Ms [redacted] differed greatly from the amount provided by the Internal Revenue Service I can understand Ms [redacted] displeasure with the increased payment amount However, Trellis is bound by ED's regulations in administering the terms of the agreement As I indicated to Ms [redacted] , if she feels that the information provided to Trellis by the IRS is inaccurate, or if there are differences in income and expenses that she feels are relevant to the calculation of her payment amount, Trellis would be willing to allow her submission of a financial disclosure form to enable us to manually calculate the repayment terms She did not express interest in this option at the present time.Again, I apologize for any perceived misunderstanding in this instance, but the numbers obtained for verification did not support the payment amount initially provided based on Ms [redacted] initial oral disclosure If there are any follow up questions I may be contacted at (***) ***-***[redacted] , Ombudsman, Trellis

Thank you for your inquiry in regard to Trellis borrower [redacted] Please be advised that a response was sent to Ms [redacted] today, January 23, Prior to today's letter, I attempted to contact the borrower via telephone on multiple occasions hoping to discuss the matter further However, she I received the same message on each occasion that her mailbox was full and I was unable to leave a message.Due to the sensitive nature of federal student loan issues, Trellis is not permitted to provide the Revdex.com with an actual copy of the response unless Ms [redacted] sends me a privacy release authorizing permission to release the response to you at the Revdex.com.In addition, the original notification received regarding this complaint was postmarked January Due to the MLK holidays followed by an office closure the following day due to inclement weather, I did not actually receive this complaint until January 17th, so I apologize for the delay in response. If I can be of further assistance, I may be reached at (***) ***-***.Sincerely, [redacted]

There was certainly no attempt on my part to mislead, either during my telephone conversation with Mr***, or through my response to his original Revdex.com complaint As stated previously, during our conversation, we discussed the history of his attendance and at multiple schools and the loans associated with those schools that are associated with his name and other personal identifiers He has indicated part of his dispute has to do with the mis-reporting of a date (1969) that appears on a credit report, stating that he wasn't even born then, so it can't be correct I'm in agreement, that date can't be correct However, that is an issue that he should address with whichever credit bureau is reporting that information That is not information that the Trellis Company is reporting Additionally, as I indicated to previously to Mr***, if he has questions as to the loans for which he was certified eligible by his school, that is an issue that he should explore further with the school Best available information indicates that Mr [redacted] applied for the loans in question, and those loans were made and sent to his school's where they were applied to his student account indicating that he clearly benefitted from those funds Trellis' system, along with his school's, and the U.SDepartment of Education's (ED), all match up on this account When he did not repay those loan funds, his lender/servicer filed a claim with Trellis who then became the holder of his loan(s) and tasked with collecting those funds on behalf of ED, under our Guarantor Agreement with them I suggested to Mr [redacted] that if he has an issue with certification of loans by the school, that he contact them and specifically request a copy of his student ledger to determine his costs that were accrued at the school and how they were paidThat ledger should clearly show the application of the loan funds in question and the fact that he benefitted from those funds My guess is that he has not followed up on this suggestion In regard to his request for a refund of the $that was offset from his tax refund, that request is currently being reviewed by the Trellis Collections Analysis group It appears from system comments, as well as my conversations with that group, that they have been in contact with each other via email and that it is an ongoing review[redacted] , Ombudsman, Trellis

Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because:My Previous message States at all! Regards, [redacted] ***

Mr [redacted] and I had a long telephone conversation regarding the history of his account, both with his prior servicer as well as the period since Trellis came to hold the account We discussed Trellis' role and its agreement with the U.SDepartment of Education (ED) I explained to Mr [redacted] that if he has questions regarding the school's certification of federal student loans and how those loans were applied to his student account at the school, then he needed to discuss that with the school Additionally, Trellis records indicate that its credit bureau reporting is correct, relative to his current status here Therefore, if he disputes information that is being reported by the bureaus, he would need to specifically address those matters with them We also discussed his recent Federal Consolidation application that he submitted to ED and the advantages, along with additional options he will gain should his application be approved Should Mr [redacted] have additional questions, he may contact me at (***) ***-***[redacted] , Ombudsman, Trellis

Attached is my response to the borrowers dispute in regard to TG's issuance of a wage withholding order to her employer While Ms [redacted] indicates that she was never notified of TG's intent to garnish, this does not appear to be the case TG first issued a "Notice Prior to Wage Withholding" in April of Ms [redacted] responded to this initial notification and actually agreed to repayment terms However, Ms [redacted] failed to maintain those terms and the "order" was subsequently issued to her employer. As indicated in my letter, Ms [redacted] has options if the garnishment currently in place poses a financial hardship She can feel free to contact me at (800) 252-ext [redacted] to discuss her account I will be happy to assist her[redacted] **

I reviewed Ms***'s complaint and related payment and servicing histories on her account and granted her request for the removal of the collection cost balance on her account. I related
this information to Ms*** through a recent telephone conversation and she seemed satisfied with this outcome. The cost balance has been removed and Ms. *** can continue to avoid the application of these costs as long as her account remains current. She has my contact information and can feel free to contact me directly should she have any future questions or concerns regarding her account
