I appreciate Mr*** contacting me regarding his concerns. I contacted him via telephone and we were able to come to an agreement mutually acceptable to both him and TG. Mr*** has my contact information should he have any other future questions.*** ***, Ombudsman, TG

My letter to *** ** *** is attached*** ** *** has claimed on various occasions to be a victim of identity theft, insisting that she never attended the school in question, Colorado Technical University--Online. Based on her claim, and the fact that she was not satisfied with the
documentation that we had on file, I suggested that she contact the school and ask them for documentation supporting her enrollment and attendance at the school. She has never provided any information indicating that she followed up with them. Therefore, based on this latest inquiry, I requested the school's file. They were able to provide extensive documentation to support her application to the school, her enrollment and attendance, and receipt and application to her student account of financial aid that she applied for.All of this information is being mailed to *** ** *** through U.Spostal mail. Since it includes personal identifying information and *** ** *** has not authorized the release of that information to 3rd parties, the school file is not being included in this response to the Revdex.com.If the Revdex.com or *** ** *** has any further questions or comments, feel free to contact me at *** ***.Sincerely,*** *** **

I have reviewed the account of Ms*** and TG's servicing, based on available information and documentation, appears correct. It appears that she is dealing with more than one entity and there may be some confusion as to which entities are handling which accounts. I
would like the opportunity to speak with Ms***. I have left a message for her with my contact information. Should she contact me, I believe that we can clear up a great deal of the confusion. If I do not hear back from her in the near future, I will respond to her in writing. However, it is recommended that she contact me, as there is time-sensitive correspondence that has been sent to her. I would be more than happy to discuss her options with her.I can be reached at (***) ***-*** or (***) ***-*** ext ***.*** *** Ombudsman, TG

Mr*** and I discussed his matter in a couple of telephone conversations on March 3rd. I explained TG's role and responsibilities, as well as its reporting requirements, under its agreement with the U.SDepartment of Education as an administrator of the Federal Family Education Loan
Program. While, ultimately, I was unable to meet his desired outcome on this particular occasion, Mr*** can feel free to contact me directly with any future concerns or issues that he has.*** *** Ombudsman, TG

Complaint: ***
I am rejecting this response because:i returned TG called, yesterday and left a message asking for communication via email; I also asked for the forms I requested over two week ago - the ones DOE needs for to complete and send to themThe voice message left by TG stated they received a "new complaint from me" this is not a new complaint; this is an ongoing issue for quite some time, and no one sends me the information I ask for.I will contact the school again, and see if someone will actually clarifies this, as I have NOT attended the schoolIt is baffling how is so easy for two institutions to lend money without verifying the person's identity, yet when the owner of that SS tries to tell them I didn't take a loan, then it is a major problemIt is also baffling that all of a sudden TG receives all this "compelling" evidence from the school; however, neither of them have sent me informationI need the forms I requested, for I need to send a lot of paperwork to DOE

This complaint is being closed by TG based on a telephone conversation that I had with the borrower and his follagreement with TG in regard to repayment terms on his account.I followed up on the borrower's complaint by contacting him via telephone on 1/17. We had a lengthy and productive
conversation regarding his account and terms were subsequently established. In addition, I provided him with contact information to the school that he previously attended for any inquiries that he may wish to direct to them. Since the initial conversation, I have attempted to contact him on two separate occasions to follow up further regarding our conversation. However, he has not returned my calls. He has my contact information should he have any further questions in regard to his account.*** *** Ombudsman, TG

In response to complaint #***I have spoken to the customer in question on multiple occasions (twice on Friday 12/and once today) since receiving notification of her complaint. As I explained to her, the actual payoff amount associated with her account was adjusted
based on a "supplemental" claim that was filed subsequent to our initial claim payment. Therefore, the resulting remaining balance, ultimately, was not incorrect. However, in fairness to the borrower, because she was initially quoted a lesser payoff amount, TG is honoring that amount and writing off any remaining balance. The borrower's account is being noted as paid in full, and closed. In addition, her employer was notified first thing this morning that the borrower is released from any wage withholding proceedings previously in effect. I have conveyed this information to the borrower and she seemed satisfied during our last conversation. She has my contact information should she have any additional questions. *** ***Ombudsman Services, TG

June 24, 2015 MS. [redacted] DISPUTE RESOLUTION SPECIALIST [redacted]     Re: Case #[redacted]   Dear Ms. [redacted] Thank you for your inquiry received at Texas Guaranteed (TG) on 6/18/15.   Regarding your customer, I reviewed his...

circumstances and sent him a response to his issues on 6/23/15. Unless the Revdex.com Provides a privacy release from Mr. [redacted], I will no longer provide your agency with an actual copy of the outgoing response.   If you or Mr. [redacted] have questions or if I can be of further assistance, please feel free to contact me at 1 800 [redacted] Extension [redacted].   Sincerely,   [redacted], Ombudsman/ Assistant Vice-President Office of the President

I have reviewed Ms. [redacted]) account in regard to her Revdex.com complaint.  As indicated in her complaint, she is unhappy with a payment amount originally agreed upon.  This initial agreement was based on a verbal disclosure that she provided to a Trellis Collections...

representative.  Federal regulations governing Trellis' guarantor agreement with the U.S. Department of Education, found at 34 CFR 682.405, allow for establishment of repayment terms in regard to a rehabilitation agreement, based on a verbal disclosure of adjusted gross income (AGI) from an individual's most recent tax return.  However, if that information is not verifiable, or supported by documentation later obtained, then that initial agreement, per regulation, is considered null and void and a new payment amount must be calculated.Once documentation was obtained to verify the AGI, it was discovered that the amount initially, verbally, disclosed by Ms. [redacted] differed greatly from the amount provided by the Internal Revenue Service.  I can understand Ms. [redacted] displeasure with the increased payment amount.  However, Trellis is bound by ED's regulations in administering the terms of the agreement.  As I indicated to Ms. [redacted], if she feels that the information provided to Trellis by the IRS is inaccurate, or if there are differences in income and expenses that she feels are relevant to the calculation of her payment amount, Trellis would be willing to allow her submission of a financial disclosure form to enable us to manually calculate the repayment terms.  She did not express interest in this option at the present time.Again, I apologize for any perceived misunderstanding in this instance, but the numbers obtained for verification did not support the payment amount initially provided based on Ms. [redacted] initial oral disclosure.  If there are any follow up questions I may be contacted at ([redacted].[redacted], Ombudsman, Trellis

There was certainly no attempt on my part to mislead, either during my telephone conversation with Mr. [redacted], or through my response to his original Revdex.com complaint.  As stated previously, during our conversation, we discussed the history of his attendance and at multiple schools and the loans associated with those schools that are associated with his name and other personal identifiers.  He has indicated part of his dispute has to do with the mis-reporting of a date (1969) that appears on a credit report, stating that he wasn't even born then, so it can't be correct.  I'm in agreement, that date can't be correct.  However, that is an issue that he should address with whichever credit bureau is reporting that information.  That is not information that the Trellis Company is reporting.  Additionally, as I indicated to previously to Mr. [redacted], if he has questions as to the loans for which he was certified eligible by his school, that is an issue that he should explore further with the school.  Best available information indicates that Mr. [redacted] applied for the loans in question, and those loans were made and sent to his school's where they were applied to his student account indicating that he clearly benefitted from those funds.  Trellis' system, along with his school's, and the U.S. Department of Education's (ED), all match up on this account.  When he did not repay those loan funds, his lender/servicer filed a claim with Trellis who then became the holder of his loan(s) and tasked with collecting those funds on behalf of ED, under our Guarantor Agreement with them.  I suggested to Mr. [redacted] that if he has an issue with certification of loans by the school, that he contact them and specifically request a copy of his student ledger to determine his costs that were accrued at the school and how they were paid. That ledger should clearly show the application of the loan funds in question and the fact that he benefitted from those funds.  My guess is that he has not followed up on this suggestion.  In regard to his request for a refund of the $988.00 that was offset from his tax refund, that request is currently being reviewed by the Trellis Collections Analysis group.  It appears from system comments, as well as my conversations with that group, that they have been in contact with each other via email and that it is an ongoing review.[redacted], Ombudsman, Trellis

Mr. [redacted] and I had a long telephone conversation regarding the history of his account, both with his prior servicer as well as the period since Trellis came to hold the account.  We discussed Trellis' role and its agreement with the U.S. Department of Education (ED).  I explained to Mr. [redacted] that if he has questions regarding the school's certification of federal student loans and how those loans were applied to his student account at the school, then he needed to discuss that with the school.  Additionally, Trellis records indicate that its credit bureau reporting is correct, relative to his current status here.  Therefore, if he disputes information that is being reported by the bureaus, he would need to specifically address those matters with them.  We also discussed his recent Federal Consolidation application that he submitted to ED and the advantages, along with additional options he will gain should his application be approved.  Should Mr. [redacted] have additional questions, he may contact me at ([redacted].[redacted], Ombudsman, Trellis

Thank you for your inquiry in regard to Trellis borrower [redacted]. Please be advised that a response was sent to Ms. [redacted] today, January 23, 2017. Prior to today's letter, I attempted to contact the borrower via telephone on multiple occasions hoping to discuss the matter further....

However, she I received the same message on each occasion that her mailbox was full and I was unable to leave a message.Due to the sensitive nature of federal student loan issues, Trellis is not permitted to provide the Revdex.com with an actual copy of the response unless Ms. [redacted] sends me a privacy release authorizing permission to release the response to you at the Revdex.com.In addition, the original notification received regarding this complaint was postmarked January 10. Due to the MLK holidays followed by an office closure the following day due to inclement weather, I did not actually receive this complaint until January 17th, so I apologize for the delay in response. If I can be of further assistance, I may be reached at ([redacted].Sincerely,[redacted]

Thank you for your inquiry received May 18, 2016, in regard to TG borrower [redacted].  Please be advised that a response was provided to Mr. [redacted] via email today, May 24th.  In addition, I contacted Mr. [redacted] via telephone and we had a good, and hopefully helpful,...

conversation regarding how TG came to be the holder of his loans and our role in administering the Federal Family Education Loan Program on behalf of the U.S. Department of Education.  We also discussed possible solutions to correcting the current status of his loans. Due to the sensitive nature of federal student loan issues, TG is not permitted to provide the Revdex.com with an actual copy of the response unless Mr. [redacted] provides me with a privacy release authorizing permission to release the response to you at the Revdex.com.If I can be of further assistance, I may be reached at [redacted]
