I bought 2 recliners at the Lafayette,in store
2 weeks later one of the arms was loose
Turned it over
Staples were pulled loose
Took it back on a Friday
I called the following Wednesday
They said the mechanism was broken, causing the arm to break loose
They ordered the mechanism
For this to happen we think it had to be dropped
We asked for another chair
They said they could not do that

I purchased my very first Dodge product from Halifax Chrysler in the last month or so. I went to Halifax Chrysler mainly due to location. We negotiated a trade in value and was literally blind sided and in my opinion was [redacted] of my tax savings. We agreed on a very firm trade value which luckily I had signed off on. When the final papers were drawn up someone at the dealership basically removed 15% from my trade value so they now had the tax savings. So instead of me saving $6000 plus tax (Therefore $6900), Mr Dodge man had my trade set at $5217 plus tax savings of 15%.

I was caught off guard and basically signed the papers because I was led to beleive this was final. I walked out of the dealership with a sour taste in my mouth to get at the wheel of my NEW vehicle and there is 623 kms on the odometer. Being naive I assumed this is a BRAND new vehicle and should not have many kms, my first question was is this a dealer demo?

So after approaching Halifax Chrylser the following day and complaining of these issues, they agreed to give me $800 back and a credit towards the first oil change at their garage. For me questioning the kilometers I was told this is normal, "Not like it had 5000 kms on it I was told". The vehicle they guessed must of come from another dealership when dealers make trades of new inventory. I purchased many new vehicles over the years and have never seen anything like this. When I pay the hefty delivery charge approaching $2000 one would expect the vehicles comes on a truck to a location alot closer then 623 kms from the dealership. If my new vehicle has a problem up to 623 kms over warranty, who is left to loose?

This was my first purchase at Halifax Chrysler and will be my last. [redacted]? It can't be that I lucked out for all these years of buying new cars that my trade values were always before tax and that my NEW vehicles always had less then I would guess 50kms on the odometer. The morale of the story, if you buy from Halifax Chrysler ask to see the final numbers before you pick up your vehicle and ask to know the odometer reading when your salesperson selects your VIN number to secure your vehicle.

DO NOT BUY THIS FURNITURE! WHAT YOU SEE IS NOT WHAT YOU GET! My husband and I have been through 8 months now of trying to get furniture repaired that was delivered in terrible condition. Their "repair service" made the furniture worse than it was in the beginning! One recliner doesn't recline all the way because they tried to "fix" gaps it came with between the arms & the seat by shortening the seat.?! Gaps aren't repaired. Footrest catches on front arm of chair so it doesn't go all the way back, and now it goes back crooked AND.....it creaks! Both chairs are so under padded that the fabric wrinkles. The sofa has nothing supporting the ends. The springs under the end of the cushions just stop without touching the sides, so the center sits firm, but after about a week the ends sit like a 10 year old couch. It would take too long to describe what we have gone through with the repair center. It has been exhausting, frustrating, ridiculous and just stupid! I can't believe a company can get away with this kind of fraud. If you have been sucked in by La-Z-Boy recently, if you used a Visa or MasterCard, I think you have some protection through your card company. They should be good for something, right? Also, go to the trouble of filing a complaint with the Revdex.com. You can do it online, pretty painless, and if enough of us do it....who knows ? Maybe we can put these swindlers out of business?

I am extremely disappointed with my La-Z-Boy experience at the Brentwood Missouri location. The sales people will lie to get your order but then will accuse you, the customer, of creating delays regarding delivery. My issue is ongoing, as I have yet to recieve the entire $10,000.00 order I placed in March 2015. I have spoken with [redacted] the store manager, many times, who claims to be working very hard for me, with no resolution at this writing. I am frustrated by the lies and deception I have expierenced and would not recommend this location or La-Z-Boy to any of my friends.

I , like many others it seams, bought furniture at the Lazy Boy store in Evansville Indiana. The sofa I purchased seems fine so far. I also purchased two higher end recliners assuming , because they were the Lazy Boy brand, they would be good quality. They were not. Had trouble with the feet rests and how the backs fit on the second day. I called the store, they sent out a service guy, and he brought a part which fixed the one recliner but he said the other one "was just made that way." I didn't call the store back but I have told everyone I know that lazy boy no longer lives up to their reputation. Not by a long shot. Stay away from them.

I will never buy another Lazy Boy piece of furniture. We have always purchased Lazy Boy recliners and loved them - however about 2 1/2 years ago we replaced our 12 year old recliners with new ones. They were a nightmare. The padding all 'sunk' so you felt like you were sitting in a hole, the padding on the back and arms seemed to just disappear as the stuffing just packed down. Every time we raised and lowered the foot rest it sounded like they were going to break. It sounded like a wood sound instead of a metal sound. We purchased another brand just recently and had our Lazy Boy recliners hauled over to Value Village. We just gave one of our sons a Lazy Boy sleeper sofa about 15 or 16 years old and it is still in great shape. THEY DO NOT MAKE THEM LIKE THEY USED TOO !

We recently purchased $6000 of sofas for our new home, only part of the furniture is delivered so far, the leather recliners are late and we were just advised that our leather recliners came into the local store damaged. The local store is very uncooperative.

I purchased two Lazy Boy Recliner, Swivel Rockers from their Costa Mesa store. Both in stock from the warehouse. When delivered (12/11/15)one was without the swivel base. After taking receipt of them and contacting the store so that the swivel could be mailed out to us. Upon sitting in the chair with the swivel we were aware that the ends of both arms were lacking foam support to the ends of the arms leaving divets shall we say. Reported with to the sales rep as again we could not get an answer from customer care. I explained that I would not call CC again because of no answer and that she needed to contact them with the problem and have them contact me with a resolution.. Today's date is 12/15/04) I understand from the manager that we were to have inspected the chairs which we did however you would not have noticed the divets in the end of the arms until you sat in the chairs and placed your arms there.
We have always owned Lazy Boy but this last experience is leaving us doubtful.

I purchased a leather recliner from the Lay-Z-Boy Furniture Gallery in Green Bay, Wisconsin in November 2013. 13 months after purchasing the chair, the color started wearing off of the headrest. This should not happen on a $1,500 chair and I called the customer service number. They told me this was out of warranty, (of course) and that the 5 year leather protection plan I purchased didn't cover it either, but that I should send a photo and they would see if it would be covered as a defect. I sent the photo and haven't heard from them since. Despite phone calls, emails and posts to the Facebook page, nobody has contacted me for follow-up. I will never purchase another Lay-Z-Boy product.

Once again I would like to thank Lazy Boy for fulfilling their warranty obligation . They not only replaced a chair bottom several months ago.
But they replaced a broken spring in a 15 year chair my wife will not part with.
The store that helped with all my repairs was Herman's Furniture in Sandusky, Ohio
Stop an see them at their new location behind Penny's at the mall by the theaters !

This is a negative review of both La-Z-Boy and their service company. I bought a recliner for $900 from La-Z-Boy in Temecula, CA, last August. It came in September. Within 6 weeks the padding had begun to deteriorate. I am not a large woman and this chair was designed for a large man, so it was not because of my size. The footrest went first. There was so little padding that my feet were sitting on a little fabric and bare wood, which really hurt. The fabric in the footrest stretch out of shape so that it actually folded over on itself by 2 inches. Yes, I measured it. Then the padding in the arm rests compacted so it would shift and had to pull it over into the right place again so it would sit under my arms correctly. The padding in the lower back compacted, so my head was pushed forward. One of the reasons I had bought that chair was because it had enough padding in the back so that my head rested comfortably, because I have neck problems. Finally, after about 3 months, I could feel the wood under me when I sat and the reclining mechanism, the handle of which had never been easy to pull, shifted and started rubbing on the fabric of the chair. At that point I'd had it, I called La-Z-Boy and told them the situation and requested that the chair be replaced. They sent a technician out. He told me I should have ordered the memory foam. He finally said, grudgingly, that he would order the padding and have the back padding and seat padding replaced, and that he would have someone move around the mechanism so it didn't rub, but that I was stuck with the footrest and the arms the way they were. I was not happy with that (understandably), so I called the main office several times and FINALLY got them to agree to credit me for the chair IF I would buy a sofa instead. This time I spent another $1500 (I still thought I could trust them), made sure to get the memory foam and got the electric mechanism. It took another 6 weeks to get. I loved it, but this time there was one place on the back that wasn't padded correctly (it puckered in) when I got it and there were a few loose strings from stitching. The back on the moving sections also didn't seem to be solidly fastened. I called for a technician and he was very cordial and fixed the back and the strings with no problem - no big deal. Then he said that more padding could be added to the back to fix that one place and that a little could be added to another place on the other side. The salespeople had not told me that the back had absolutely no memory foam in it, but was the same padding that was used in the other chair. Well, I waited 3 weeks for the bag of padding to come. Then, as instructed, I called for another technician to come out. I had to wait 3 weeks for the first available date. They would not guarantee that it would be a morning appointment, even though I work in the afternoons and cannot take off work - They do not come on the weekends. So when I got the call that they were coming between 2 and 5, I had to call and reschedule. I waited another 3 weeks. This time they were coming in the morning, but they actually went to the WRONG ADDRESS! When I bought the chair, I lived with my sister, but it was delivered to my new address, as was the sofa. The first technician came to my correct address. But THIS next technician went to my sister's and then told me he couldn't service "that far away" - I live 15 minutes from my sister. So I called the service company AND La-Z-Boy and made sure that everyone had the right address, and waited ANOTHER two weeks for the next technician to come out. By this time, the padding on the back of this chair had started to shift and compact a little. Again, one of the reasons I had bought this particular sofa was that it had enough back support that it didn't push my head forward. But the back padding had shifted and was causing me to slouch and pushing my head forward. Enough padding had been sent that the problem could have been easily fixed. However, THIS technician told me that, even though the padding had been ordered by another technician and delivered, he wasn't ALLOWED to put more padding in it. It was against a company rule!!!? This, even though the back had not been padded correctly in the first place. Then he told me, really making it sound like it was my fault, that I had bought a chair that was too large for me. Of course, he said that the salespeople would never say that, as they just wanted me to buy a chair and didn't care about anything afterwards. He said he would "fluff" the padding in there but that it wouldn't last and that, basically, I was just out of luck. Then he told me just to pound on the back of the chair so "reset" the padding as best I could, and that even though I had bought an extended warrantee, the company would not allow technicians to come out and fix it again "if he wrote his report correctly", which I assume he did.

This is the worst experience I've ever had in regards to customer service. They have had to change my delivery date three times because they can't figure out their own schedule. I will never purchase another lazy boy product and will try my best to inform others to do the same.

I just had a service call with Lazboy and it was one of the most unpleasant experience I've ever had. For others that are considering lazboy furniture in the future and to the current owners. Be very careful with the warranties information and the
their sales representative. Most customers were sold on the idea that lazboy furniture warranties are for the life of the product but that is not the case. Most all of the lazboy products have a life span of 3 to 7 years. If your furniture went over that time line you are and starts breaking down you will be better off buying a new product from another manufacturer for a less expensive price. The number 1 selling point for LazBoy Furniture is thier warranty but it's not properly disclose buy the branch or their representatives. They will then refer you to customer service which are the most clueless group of people within the company structure. Lazboy is a cool name for a product but is poor in terms of product durability and customer service abilities. I will never but this product again.

Very disappointed in lazy boy spent 2,729.00 on a sofa and love seat in Jan.of 2014 have had customer service out 4 or 5 times to fix a few things, some of the other problems we had we were told there was nothing wrong ,went to the store, salesman said that the furniture shouldn't be like that but unfortunately we were 2mon.past warranty,l started calling and complaining about the furniture 6 months after we got it ,the furniture will be 3yrs.old in January it hurts to sit on it ,the back shakes, when you move it it feels like it's gonna crack in half, the recliner moves by itself, the love seat slants toward the middle,it's so uncomfortable you don't want to sit on it.l will never buy lazy boy again.

We purchased a top of the line power recliner from La-Z-Boy in San Diego. At check out, without telling us, $300 was added to the invoice. When challenged we were told we picked a different color fabric than the floor model. After some heated complaint the additional charge was backed out. After delivery, after a day or so the chair developed a toxic chemical odor that was growing stronger in the next few days. My wife and I developed headaches and called the store and got nowhere. We called corporate and was told the smell was from flame rdant and they they could send someone over but it would take 2 weeks. That was unacceptable so we asked for some one higher in authority. We were told that there was no phone number we could complain to, or try to get a earlier date and we had to use e-mail. We had to use e-mail to contact someone to come sooner as well. At virtually every level there was no phone number to call. All the while the odor was more prevalent and smelled up the entire room. We were thoroughly frustrated. Two e-mails were sent but not responded to. We ended up taking the chair back to the store and told them we were going to reverse the charges on our credit card. Only then did they refund our money. After this unpleasant experience I googled the company and found over 320 one star reviews and 2 five star ones. I will not buy from them again, nor recommend them.

I bought a lazy boy recliner at Ricks Furniture in Kerrville Tx and 2 years later the recliner has completely broken down. The construction of the lazy boy frame is made of Particle board about half inch thick. The Particle board has disintegrated where the life time warranted steel is attached. They offered to repair the chair at my expense.
But the lazy boy product is obviously made of material that will not last. So my $800.00 which I paid for it is down the drain. If I paid for the repair, I know it still would not work very long because of the poor material of which it is made.

Sixteen months ago I paid nearly $800.00 for an electric fabric lazy boy recliner.
Recently I was attempting to raise the foot rest and heard a loud pop. In attempting to lower the rest there was another loud pop and the foot rest collapsed. Under the chair on the floor I found several pieces of broken plastic. I am very disappointed that such low quality components are being used on this expensive piece of furniture.

My husband and I purchased a leather dual-reclining sofa (I believe it was callled the Niagara model) after falling in love with the one on the showroom floor in 2014. Our salesman was incredibly friendly and seemed really knowledgeable about the product. We liked that everything was American made, but I was most impressed with the foam quality used in construction of their furniture. We were looking to buy a high-quality piece of furniture and were willing to pay more than we've ever paid to get that. We waited over eight weeks for our new sofa to arrive. Once it did, we noted the sofa received didn't seem anywhere near as plush as the one in the showroom. If that had been our only issue, that was more than enough to be upsetting. We had owned the sofa less than six months when a support board broke; during the repair it was discovered the board used in the original construction of our sofa had a large knot in it, creating a structural weak spot which is exactly where it broke. I also saw the majority of construction is plywood. When I complained about the level of cushioning in the sofa and mentioned the foam construction I was sold on, I was told this sofa doesn't even have any foam in it--it's all a polyester batting, and nothing could be done to add any additional padding. I paid $3300 for a sofa made of plywood, shoddy boards and synthetic batting.

I am writing this review today because we finally got a repair completed today on a bent bracket that has been on-going for over six months. We were sent the wrong parts, they were TWICE sent to incorrect addresses, repair men had to come three different times, two of which they weren't even able to do anything because part orders were incorrect. When the guy arrived today, his work order from La-Z-Boy indicated he was here to replace a left upholstered arm. That alone sums up my entire experience with this purchase.

We spent more money than we have ever paid for a piece of furniture that has been a continual disappointment and source of repeated frustration. I feel like I was lied to and robbed of $3300 while people I complained to just smiled and told me I need to talk to someone else. I wouldn't recommend La-Z-Boy to ANYONE and have no intentions of ever buying anything from them again.
