I am trying to change my phone number and TruConnect will not allow me.
I am trying to change my phone number due to harassment calls. I work in the business sales industry so this is something I am subjected to quite a bit. I. contacted TruConnect live chat on 3/11 and spoke with ***. I requested to change my number and was told I can only change it twice a year. The agent stated I already changed it twice this year and would have to wait until December. This is not acceptable. I have never heard of a phone company refusing to allow a number change.I should have the right to change my number whenever I want and as many times as I want.

Desired Outcome

I would like my number changed as requested.

TruConnect Response • Mar 24, 2020

TruConnect's policy, as stated in our Terms and Conditions, allows customers to request to change their number two times every twelve months. *** had requested to change his number two times in the previous twelve months before his most recent request. We have processed ***'s request to change his number as a courtesy and consider this matter closed.

Never recieved a sim card, never used it. I can't apply with another company until they cancel. There customer service number can't be reached.
I have never recieved the sim card, they have an incomplete address. I now have an emergency and a phone for medical reason but cannot apply with a liget company until they cancel. I have email various time but they only tell me to call the 800 # which I've tried over a hundred times and just get a busy signal or a beep sound. There is no way to communicate. I really need help. Government is paying for a service that is not being used and can be proven. I just want to cancel.

Desired Outcome

I want my alleged account to be canceled. I never received any sim card or letter. I didn't even know the phone# until a chat conversation which resulted in no help. The 800 number does not work. They are a scam.

We have tried contacting ***, but have been unable to speak to her. We shipped a SIM card with TruConnect Lifeline service to the address provided by ***. Lifeline customers can transfer to a different service providers at any time. TruConnect does not prevent customers from applying with other Lifeline service providers or transferring their service. We ask that she contact the company she is applying with for help completing her application. For security, we do cancel accounts through email requests. Based on her request in this complaint, we have cancelled her TruConnect Lifeline account. We apologize for the experience and consider this matter closed.

To this day I am still trying to get signed up with Lifeline Truconnect. I have repeatedly gotten stuck at the verification screen. I cannot seem to get in touch with anyone except through their chat portal. And that person is zero help. I keep getting told different things, which all seem like BS to me. And Truconnect will not respond to the problem. Their customer service is beyond horrible. But I contacted the actual Lifeline entity and they told me if necessary, contact them and they will escalate the issue against Truconnect. So it look as if that is what I'll have to do.
