this "company" does most certainly hire illegal labor from all over different states in america and illegally employs and withholds their pay in some cases.  it sets up shop in seedy hotels around the country far away from the location they were from and sends these people to canvass "rich" neighborhoods in america- including north berkeley.  these half willing, semi- abducted and desperate canvass employee individuals (often recently released ex-cons) are tricked into working for virtually no pay and are held hostage to the fact that they are flown by airplane by the company to a random out of state location, driven to an undisclosed hotel location and forced to live with half a dozen other strangers in the same hotel room while forced to door to door canvass for the owner.  the ringleader drives the canvassers to the neighborhoods in rental vans and often dumps and strands poor performers in the city they are canvassing in.     the written response to the revdex.com complaint from unified doers mgmt. Was clearly written by a under-educated, semi-literate person who has an extremely poor grasp of english grammar.  it was clearly written in [redacted] and is not remotely close to being grammatically correct.  this indicates an undereducated and desperate scam artist at work.  the response was written by a scam artist who denies having employees after the solicitor at the my door clearly sited being employed by unified doers and named the aforementioned individual as the owner of the company when directly questioned by myself.  this is all while I was being solicited at a no solicitors sign posted residence.     please find and shut down this evil company that cheats customers out of their magazine subscriptions, illegally hires labor, virtually abducts their canvassing employees and forces them into slave-like conditions.  this is evil modern slavery in america! Read the online reviews for this company from ex-employees and see for yourself. Then, experience the organization at work on your front door.  the canvasser tried to suck me in and tell me about their criminal past and tried to get me to buy their magazine subscriptions.  the canvassers are all instructed to do these exact actions by unified doers management.     this company is a putrid stain on the good name of our nation's capital city where they claim to operate.  contrary to the company response, the door to door canvassers  like the one who came to my door are illegally employed by unified doers management and this company must be shut down for multiple business violations!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Purchased magazines from UDMG 6/8/17 from friendly outgoing and charismatic lady who was working to get by and support her daughter. Check was cashed on 6/13/17. Today as of 4/6/18 I still have not received any of the three subscriptions. Even if they were semi annual I should have received something by now. Left message on the http://www.udmanagementgroup.com provided and hope to hear back about my refund.

A woman and her trainee came to our door to sell magazines/books. We ordered a decent amount in regards to subscriptions, totaling just over $180. That was in June. It is now December and we have yet to receive anything. I’ve tried calling the company numerous times and am unable to get in contact with anyone. We want a full refund! We will certainly be getting lawyers involved if this is not resolved peacefully.

Review: I had a young lady knock on my door selling magazines. I read all of her documents and spoke for over half and hour with the young lady. She told me she had severe medical issues and that she was homeless due to her medical issues. I purchased two magazine subscriptions and spoke to someone who was her "manager" to give my credit card information. The magazines were for 24 months and 18 months and totaled over $150. I was excited to give these subscriptions to my children for Christmas. I tried to call to cancel during the 'cancellation period' but never got someone on the line. I've tried calling numerous times and have not been able to reach anyone or received any magazines. A few days after meeting the sales girl, I received a call from her saying the company had left her in [redacted] NC because of her medical issues. She asked me to call to get her some help. I spent an hour on the phone with the police trying to find the girl and help her get to a hospital where her colonoscopy bag ruptured! This wasn't something I wanted to get involved with but having a young girl calling me crying saying she didn't know where she was was more than I could ignore. I would like to get my money back as soon as possible.Desired Settlement: Full refund of $152.00

Review: A Boy came to my door selling magazine subscriptions saying he was trying to better himself asking me to help him, I originally ordered a Decorating digest and a Disney princess subscription, then realized the disney princes was to expensive, the boy marked out the Disney princess subscription. So the Decorating Digest was $30 then they charged a $20 process and Handling fee (which is ridiculous) so I paid the boy $50. He gave me a receipt. the Receipt says to allow 90-120 days. The date on the receipt looks like March 26, 2013. After about 5 months of waiting for my magazine to show up I called the number on the receipt to complain and figure out what was going on. The man said for the inconvenience he would send me the disney princess along with my decorators digest and that I should expect it in the 2nd week of September! about the 3rd week of september I received the Disney princess book BUT STILL did not receive the item I originally paid for! Here it is the 9th day of October and I have yet to see the Decorators Digest Magazine! I called them today to request my refund and he said that it was to late to get me a refund for this friday October 11, 2013 that they would not actually write the check till October 18th, 2013!!!!! So not only have I waiting 7 months for a product that never showed up but now I have to wait 2 1/2 more weeks for my refund check to even get written! That is if I even receive one, which I highly doubt will even happen!Desired Settlement: I would like a refund ASAP and not have to wait 3 weeks for it!

Review: A young man came to my door selling magazines for the Unified Doers Management Group on June 13,2013. I signed up for a magazine subscription order that should have been delivered to me NO LATER than 120 days after said date. I have received nothing. I have called during business hours and no one picks up the phone. I want a full refund for $133.00. My order number is: [redacted].Desired Settlement: I want a full refund since this a violation of their agreement.

Review: A woman and her "trainee" approached me on the evening of May 16, 2013, when I was in my backyard with my young daughter. She was sarcastically chastising me that she had been "singing loudly into my door" (screen door) and had been yelling for 20 minutes. After asking what I could help her with, she proceeded to explain that she was selling Magazines to support single mothers and help them to learn career skills to keep them off of Welfare. She gave me a list of magazines subscriptions that she was selling, after she showed me a piece of paper offering her "credentials" including her race, eye/hair color, height and weight. ( A page that could easily be typed on any computer) I was very skeptical, but felt very pressured. She was also saying inappropriate things in front of my daughter, and asked me if I could get her and her colleague something to drink and eat. I am not someone that falls prey to scams, but I did eventually choose a magazine and give her a 36.00 check. She gave me a receipt and left. I looked later at the receipt, and noticed that my neighbor's name and address were written in carbon in the "Purchaser's Name and Address" section and that my name was in the Delivery address section. I'm wondering if my name and address will appear in the Purchaser section of the next sale "victim". There is a phone number to contact the company, but no one answers the phone and you are instructed on the answering machine to NOT leave a message, as no one will call you back. There was a $20.00 process and handling fee marked on my order that I was not notified of , nor did I agree to. Although my check was written for $36.00, the woman wrote that the total amount collected from me was $56.00. I called my bank to find out if it was possible for this person/ company to collect more than the check was written for and she said "yes, if the check is filed electronically". My bank charges $33.00 to put a stop payment on a check. In other words, If I want to stop payment on a check.....Not for insufficient funds, but because I'm trying to keep someone from stealing from my account, it will cost me more. I am going to try to cancel the order, but it will most likely be impossible. According to the receipt, you must cancel in writing in 3 business days from the date of transaction. It is impossible to 1) to get something to another party, directly by mail in this amount of time....2) have proof that this party would be honest about the date of receipt, if they in fact did receive it on time. There is also a fax option, but you have to fax your signature on the back of the receipt, which is the "Notice of Cancellation" First, the cancellation agreement will not copy or go through clearly on the fax machine because the print is very light. Second, It asks you to sign and date the form.......so all that will come through on the fax is your signature with a date.....great, a fraudulent business has a copy of my signature to forge to anything it desires.Desired Settlement: That this company cease these practices, of not disclosing excess charges; that there be an explanation of why my neighbors information is on my receipt as the purchaser's name/ address; that the salesperson be obligated to give you their name and authentic contact information; that there be legitimate way of contacting the business and being able to cancel the purchase without penalty.

Review: I purchased a $65 magazine subscription to [redacted] from a door to door salesman from this company on 8/21/13. I never received the magazine and contacted [redacted] who confirmed that there is no subscription under my name. Repeated attempts to contact UD Management have been unsuccessful as they don't answer the phone or have voice mail (###-###-####). I had a bad feeling when I made the purchase but felt compassion for the young [redacted] salesman on a hot day.Desired Settlement: I would prefer that this company send me a refund for the $65 that I paid for a subscription that was never received. This was obviously a scam and my hope is that my complaint may prevent a future consumer from making my mistake.

Review: In late August of 2013, a young man was going door to door in our neighborhood selling magazines. that is not something I normally fall for, but he had a good story and was very convincing. I thought, what is another magazine and agreed to it. I selected [redacted] and it had some regular subscription price of $20-30 dollars and then there was some extreme fee brining it to $50. Still at that point, I said ok and wrote a check.

However, despite the lengthy time stated for the subscription to start - up to 120 days, it is now February, my check was cashed and I cannot get in touch with this group. There is a website with a phone number. ###-###-####. I have callled dozens of times since last week and only get a message that I cannot leave a message. I am seeking my money back. I no longer need that magazine and need my money returned.Desired Settlement: I am seeking $50 which is what they received from me. I can provide an image of the cashed check if that is needed. The product/magazine was not delivered and is no longer desired. Thank you.

Regards,

Review: I ordered a magazine from a door to door salesman in march of 2013. We waited to receive them in the mail and come July of 2013 had still not received them! I called them and they told me for my inconvenience they would send me a disney princess book as well as the Magazine. I waited and waited Got the free book but never saw the Magazine that I paid a ridiculous price of $50 for! October 9th I called and told them I just wanted my money back (The receipt says "If you do not receive delivery within 120 days, please notify UD Management Group, L.L.C. you are entitled to a delivery or a refund) the man said that they would not be able to get it out in time for Friday October 11, 2013 so they would have to send it out Friday October 18th, 2013. Here it is November 11th 1 month later and I have still not received my refund!!! I called today November 11th, 2013 and the man I spoke with said that the refund was not even put in the computer but that he would put it in!! How am I suppose to believe that it will actually get done this time?!! I am assuming they are doing this to every person they get money from! and just keeping peoples money and hoping they just forget about it!Desired Settlement: I want my money back now! and I dont want to have to wait months for it!!!!

Review: Back in early May I ordered a book from a young lady at my door, who said she was with Unified Doers Management Group LLC . She went on to tell me how I would be helping her get a job by purchasing a book/magazine from her. She said it would be used for training, uniforms, etc. Being that she was very charismatic and seemed genuine, I agreed to purchase a book. I gave her a check for $40.00. Over four months went by and I still didn't receive the book. I placed a call to the company and spoke with an employee there. She informed me the wrong book was ordered and it would take another month or so to receive it. I told her my receipt stated I could get a refund if book was not received in 120 days. Since it was over that amount of time, I told her I wanted a refund. I was told to send her a copy of the receipt and I would get my money refunded. I mailed my receipt to them the very next day. Another month went by and I still didn't receive my refund. I placed another call and I spoke with [redacted]. He told me checks were going out at the end of the week and I would be getting it next week. Almost 2 weeks go by and still no refund check. I placed another call to [redacted] and asked him where my refund is, and that I still haven't received it. He told me it was mailed 12 days ago and rattled off my address and the number on the refund check that supposedly was already mailed. I told him its been over 5 months since I paid for this book and I don't have the refund or the book. He then told me he would have to check with the accountant who was not in today and that he would call me tonight after he spoke with her. Of course, that never happened either. No call, no word from him in a few days now. Tired of making calls and getting no results.Desired Settlement: To finally receive my $40.00 refund for a product that they never delivered and for them to honor the 120 day policy stating if product isn't received they will give a refund.

Review: The sales trainee showed up at my door and stated that we purchase the magazines and that supports other opportunities for people looking for work. My husband wanted to support then paid for the magazines with a 90 -120 days estimated delivery time for the woodcraft magazine. It has been more than 120 days and when you call the company goes directly to voicemail. You can't leave a message since they never return calls.

I want my refund back due to the negative reviews this company has received. I am not interested in dealing with them anymore.

It does seem a lot of people are having the same problem and are stealing money from innocent people that are willing to support their project. I hope to hear from them as soon as possible.Desired Settlement: I want a refund.

Did not buy, but did experience a teenager on his first day using communications skills and positive interaction to try to gain sales. No one likes door to door sales, but I am happy to know that he had the opportunity to learn this skill set.

Review: Ordered two items from brochure. Magazine Taste of Home & a cookbook Nestle Classic Recipe. Was purchased for 102.00 total on NOVEMBER 19, 2013. No delivery. Several attempts to contact for refund with no answer. Really want my money back.Desired Settlement: Just want my money back.
