That vehicle was sold during the day on Saturday October 24th. Prices that are changed on the internet can be effected by several factors ; however, if the vehicle was still available, and [redacted] had the quote she had mentioned, we would of course, have honored it regardless. We have a luxury...

lot here, and an amazing luxury manager who can locate an X4 for the client if she's still interested. The phone number that [redacted] provided was not in service, at this time.

Review: On Oct.11,2014, I bough 2014 Jetta TDI and with that I paid$1500.00($1400+ Tax $100) for Extended Factory warranty (84 months & 100K miles) which should be issued by VW

but dealership sold me wrong product([redacted]) Therefore I am not responsible for the penalty for cancelling the warranty.

2) I did not get policy document until Jan.28,2015, and immediately after receiving the policy, I contacted dealer ship their Finance person and Customer Service dept)by Emails.

3) Dealership did not respond for two months because their finance guy had left dealership. The delay in time was not my fault and I do not have to for THEIR MISTAKES.

4) The Sales contract shows that I was Charged NJ Sales TAX on $1400 but dealer does not refund the sales Tax.

They are charging Penalty based on time lapsed since policy was bought but the time wasted (3 months) was due to non response from their dealership and I did not get the policy until Jan.28,2015

My requirement was very specific and their finance guy made mistake, since he has left I am paying for his mistakes rather than their company should bear it.

I have email proofs that I contacted dealership on Jan.28,2015, immediately after receiving warranty documents

The amount deducted was not correct , I should get refund for the Sales Tax paid on the Policy.

I called" [redacted] " and they told me everything is done by the dealer, for the amount to be refunded and taxes to be refund.

Its very clear that dealer is ripping me off, even though its their fault of selling me wrong policy and not responding for 3 months after Jan.2015.

That too I got Warranty papers in Jan.2015 whereas I bought car on Oct.11,2014

Why should I pay for all these months when delays were at their end

I requested them to show me the details of calculation , showing how they deducted $251.00 from the $1500.00, I had paid originallyDesired Settlement: They should refund $251.00 to my Car Loan ,

Review: I have reached out multiple times in regards to the warranty policy under my 2008 volkswagen EOS. During the time of purchase I kept stating I did not want the warranty. The man told me I had to sign all the paperwork to have the car so I did to which after I found out included warranty Information. The warranty is through [redacted]. I bought the car only last year with 85,000 miles to find out just this year when I brought it into a volkswagen near my home the 3000 warranty that was sold to me that I kept telling him I did not want and then it was not explained to me that I was signing for it to purchase the veichle expired after 40,000 miles in their system. HOW COULD THIS BE WHEN THE CAR WAS PURCHASED WITH 85,000 miles already on it ! I have contacted union multiple times with no responses or assistance. A major Scam to unknowingly finance a $2000 warranty that is INVALID.Desired Settlement: I would like the 2000 refund mailed to my address. I have spoken to Nicole previously and still have not received my refund. Please let me know when it will be mailed to me thank you.

Response:

In regards to [redacted], we will absolutely refund the funds to her in reference to her service contract. However, as you can see in the attachment , the purchase price is $2000.

Review: During the month of October 2014 I received a credit flyer in the mail from Union Volkswagen located at 2155 Route 22 west, Union New Jersey 07083. The dollar amount on the flyer was far more than I needed to purchase a new car. My trade in car was a 2005 Ford Taurus with a remaining balance due of $1000. The two people that I spoke to were Luigi D (Sales Associate) and David A (Sales Manager). Mr. A made me two offers that I could not afford and I declined both. I could not afford the payments based on the amount of my monthly social Security disability check. Mr. A then stated that they have a “retention program” that might help me. He continued by saying that if I could pay a monthly payment of $439.90 for six months on time towards a 2013 Toyota Corolla that I could trade the car in for a different car at a reduced monthly payment amount of $381.00. I agreed. I also paid $1000.00 to ensure my part of the agreement. Upon completing my end of the deal I returned to Union Volkswagen six months later. However, Mr. A told me that the bank ([redacted]) no longer honored the “retention program” from 2013. He also stated that all the money that I have been paying towards the car was paying the “interest” only, not the “principle”. I even contacted [redacted] and requested a refinance loan because I could not afford the monthly payments. They declined. On July 9th 2015 I contacted Union Volkswagen again and spoke to a Mr. Robert W (Sales Manager) and once again explained my problem. He asked me to come in and speak to one of the sales representatives and perhaps they could help me. Well I did as he requested and once again I was declined based on a report (after over three years) that somehow appeared on my credit report.

Mr. A made a deal with me that he did not honor. Now I am having a very difficult time trying to pay my bills due to this car loan. If I am unable to trade my 2013 Toyota Corolla in for a car that I can afford then I need to have my monthly payments reduced (refinanced).

Can you help me please?Desired Settlement: Refinance car or trade in for an affordable car

Good Afternoon, In regards to [redacted]'s complaint, his $1000 was for his down payment towards the vehicle he purchased. It was not for a promise for a retention program. He , as do we, have a copy of the contract. Warm Regards, Nicole E Internet Sales Manager Union Volkswagen

Review: I went to the dealership with a pre-approved financing letter from my bank and expressed to the sales agent and the financing manager, multiple times, that I do not want seek financing else were besides my bank, [redacted], which I've already been approved.

the finance manager/sales agent went against my wishes and sought financing through other banks against my wishes and ultimately lowered my credit score due to all the inquires from these financial institutions that I did not authorize. I only found this out once I begin receiving an influx of determination letters saying that I applied for credit on july 22 and some on the 23rd (a day after I visited the dealership) from these other banks and calls asking if I was still seeking financing.Desired Settlement: I would like for all the additional inquires removed from my credit report.

I am rejecting this response because:That is incorrect. I've already spoken to [redacted] and knew the percent range they were offering me so I knew the finance manager and sales agent were lying. And the fact that I came in on the 22nd but most of the other inquires were done on the 23rd (the day I was not there) should be an indicator that something is not right.

Review: In our effort to purchase a used car from this establishment, we secured a [redacted] Member Benefits certificate that discounted the base price of the car by $250 (I am a teacher and a member of the [redacted]. We received an email confirming this discount from Union VW. When we went in to the establishment prepared to purchase the car, we were made to wait 1 hour and 10 minutes. We were then directed to [redacted] the financial representative for Union VW, who was already typing up our registration and purchase papers prior to us having confirmed the final cost, fees, and taxes for the vehicle. When we interrupted [redacted] to insure the [redacted] certificate had be included in the final base price, he said he needed to talk to his manager, left the office, came back 5 minutes later to announce that he was not going to discount the car any further. When we suggested to him that Union VW voluntarily participates in this program and is advertising the car with this discount on the [redacted] website, he called the car a 'loser for them' and said he was not going to discount the car any further. At that point, we left the establishment. We received an email confirming the [redacted] discounted price from their own establishment, and were told to print the certificate and simply bring it in when we purchased the car. Four days after this incident, the car continues to be listed on the [redacted] website with the discount listed clearly. This appears to be deceptive advertising.Desired Settlement: Union VW chose to participate with the [redacted] discount program and continues to list the car on the website with the $250 discount. We would like them to honor the discounted price as stipulated in the advertisement.

Response:

On August 5th, 2014 [redacted] had requested a certificate through the [redacted] as she had stated. The price presented to her was 10,798 less the 250 discount. The price of the vehicle we were going to charge [redacted] was actually lower than the advertised discount price of 10548. During the negotiation process [redacted] had done an excellent job of getting an even lower price than what was advertised on the [redacted] website. When [redacted] had stated that the deal was a loser for ushe simply meant that we could not afford to add the 250 discount to the already lower price what [redacted] had negotiated over the phone. We are extremely sorry that [redacted] felt mistreated and have reached out to her many times to reconcile. Please feel free to contact me if you have any further questions.

Review: I requested a refund for an extended warranty that was sold to me. I started my request back in March/April of this year and to this day I still have not gotten my refund. When I went to the dealer back in March, they said that the warranty would be cancelled, made me sign cancellation papers, and said I would be given a full refund minus a $50 cancellation fee. A few days later, they still didn't process my refund and I was asked for copies of my warranty contract. I obliged and submitted my contract. I was again assured that they would process the refund and it would go out to my finance company. I asked when I would be able to see the refund/credit to my account and was told it would reflect on the next billing cycle. Well the next bill comes and no credit was processed with my finance company so I tried contacting the dealer again. Luis R[redacted] now tells me that he no longer processes refunds and passed me off to another employee, Scott M[redacted] Even though Luis gave me the wrong number the first time around, I eventually was able to get in touch with Scott. At this point, it was already the end of May and they still didn't process my refund request. Scott proceeds to tell me that they only process refunds on Thursdays and to check back with him then. After the next billing cycle, I follow up with Scott on Thursday and he eventually tells me my refund has been processed as of July 2nd. So I once again wait for the next billing cycle and (surprise, surprise) there is no credit. I contact Scott once more and he sends me a picture of the check that they supposedly sent out. Well not only was the date on the check was a few days after the July 2nd date, it also was not for the full amount that I originally paid! I questioned him regarding the amount and he said that he would look into it. There is no follow up on their part and even after multiple efforts to get this resolved (one as recent as last week), the refund still hasn't been completed.Desired Settlement: I would like to get a full refund for the extended warranty of which I paid $1544.

I contacted Union Volkswagen and informed them of this new update. However, after speaking to several people over a course of three weeks, Union Volkswagen stated that they could not provide a copy of the 2014 Retention Program flyer. Nevertheless, I reminded them they have a policy which I found on-line called the RECORD RETENTION AND DESTRUCTION POLICY. The first paragraph states that “This Policy is also for the purpose of aiding employees of {Insert Name of Organization} in understanding their obligations in retaining electronic documents - including e-mail, Web files, text files, sound and movie files, PDF documents, and all Microsoft Office or other formatted files”. Mr. A[redacted] made a deal with me that he did not honor. Now I am having a very difficult time trying to pay my bills due to this car loan. Review: On Saturday October 24th, I saw a [redacted] for sale on [redacted] by Union Volkswagon. I inquired about the vehicle and was put in touch with Nicole E[redacted]. She asked when I was available to come in and view the car. I told her that before I make the trek there I wanted to confirm the price. I told her I saw it on [redacted] for $43,100 but your website has a different price. She said they will honor the [redacted] told her I'd be up there around 4:30. This was all done via email.I arrive at the lot only to be told by a salesman it was sold, which he confirmed with others.

I then proceed to send Nicole an email stating she should have told me the car was sold before I made the trip up there. She says they have the car there and perhaps I was at the wrong place. I confirmed I was at the correct location. I then ask her to let me know if the car is there or not. I didn't hear back from her until Monday the 26th in the afternoon when she said it was sold.

On Saturday I took a screen capture of the [redacted] price, which also contained the vin number, as I didn't want there to be confusion during my purchase. Now on Monday she "confirms" the car is sold, but yet [redacted] now has the price changed to $48,900. Which of course now matches their website. I compare vin numbers from the Saturday posting to their website to Monday's [redacted] posting and all match.

I also had someone inquire about this same X4 later on Monday the 26th (after I was told it was sold) and they were told, by another rep (referred by Nicole), it was available and ready for a test drive.

So now I am led to believe that because I was told, in writing, that they would honor the $43,100 Truecar.com pricing the car all of a sudden became sold. Now that the price is changed $48,900 it is available to others but it isn't available to me at the advertised price of $43,100.

I have reached out to Ana W[redacted] twice, the general manager, and have received no response.Desired Settlement: Purchase the car for the advertised price I have on file as that is the price they would honor as per their email.

Review: I bought a 2015 Volkswagon Jetta Spa from Volkswagon of Union, New Jersey. They were supposed to deliver the car with two sets of keys for the vehicle. Unfortunately, the car had only one key in the bag, and not 'two' as the salesman claims. Within a short period of time I went back looking for my 2nd key, and they told me it was given to me, IT WASN'T. I just paid 24,000.00 and they still expect me to spend $300.00 for another key.I called Volkswagon Corporate, and they offered me a $50.00 gift card because the dealer told them the same lie. I refused, I want my 2nd key, and I will not stop until I receive it.Desired Settlement: MY KEY!!!!!!

Business

Response:

Good Evening , In regards to [redacted]'s key, every new vehicle comes with two keys, as did Mr. [redacted]'s. We pulled the deal, and there were no notes or indication that he was missing a key. One of the associates also stated that Mr. [redacted] also mentioned that he would try to obtain a free third key . If there was a second key needed, we would've had what is called a WE-OWE in the deal; there was no WE-OWE, as every new vehicle comes with two keys.

Review: [redacted]

I am rejecting this response because:

That response was an insult, I never mentioned to an associate that I would try to receive a 'free' third key. And, I am sorry if your notes did not indicate a missing key, and perhaps as a rule Volkswagen typically put 2 keys. But, my car came from another dealer, one in NY I believe. There was nearly 200 miles on my car when I received it, even though it was sold to me as new. I believe that using the system of VOLKSWAGON does this, or VOLKSWAGON does that, is a poor way to excuse a legitimate customer who did not receive everything that I paid for. This car was in the hands of two different dealers, and traveled from Germany, I cannot prove that the second key was not in my package, however, I can say I notified the dealer the same day I took the car, and everyone sang the same song, the key is in the bag, the key is in the bag, I reach in the damn bag, and there is only one KEY!!!!!!I have posted the details of this matter all over Facebook, and shared it with over 5,000 local consumers who are my friend, and everyone who had any experience with VOLKSWAGEN of UNION say the same thing, it is the most vicious, and inconsiderate dealership in NJ. How dare you say that I told someone I wanted a free key, that is just downright stupid. Its hard to imagine that a business that deals in public trust would lie about a client who was dumb enough to spend 23,000 with them,I want MY KEY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I prey that you change your ways, there is no way that your dealership will grow with abuse like that!!!!!!
