I DOUBT YOU GUYS ARE TALKING ABOUT THE SAME COMPANY I INSURED WITH
I had a claim in my apartment in St. Petersburg - Fl on 9/5/2020.
They said a check was issue on 10/7/2020
Today, 12/18/20 I still have not received a coin. I have had no kitchen cabinets for over 3 months. The aggravation of the flooding and not having a kitchen for 3 months is nothing compared to the misery this company will put you through. They lie, they procrastinate to levels beyond believe. Allstate will not use them any more in 2021.
For the first time in 40 yrs I had to report a company to de Department of State.

[redacted] who is the "supervisor" of Universal Property & Casualty Insurance is one of the most rude individuals I ever had to deal with To think she is a supervisor representing this Insurance company baffles me I called my insurance company for help & to answer a few questions based on my claim When she couldn't answer my questions I asked to speak with a supervisor She got upset & said she is the supervisor & when I asked to speak with some one above her who can help meShe said, "there is no one else above her" So I asked her do you mean there is no Manager above you today? She then answered, there never anyone above her in the company Which I found that hard to believe She refused to let me speak with anyone else that could help meThen she proceeded to hang up on me & I guess that's how she resolves customers issues by hanging up on them Unfortunately, for Universal Property & Casualty Insurance they have such a disturbed supervisor representing their company They seriously need to put their Supervisor Jodi Price in an etiquette training course If you need an insurance company don't choose Universal Property & Casualty Insurance company because in your time of need, when you need help their Supervisor [redacted] not be sympathetic to your situation and will not help youI hope my experience helps anyone deciding on insurance companies and will steer them away from this one

we went through an insurance agent to secure a tenant policy for my son the move into off campus housing at FSUThe policy was issued only to be cancelled a short time laterNow two months later I have received a policy in the mailI called to clarify what was going on and was told that the policy was indeed cancelledThis same company had no problem insuring my daughter in the same type of housing the prior yearNow they only want to refund % of my premium after they cancelled the policyIf they do not insure off campus type housing then they should not have accepted the the money in the first place!!!!!

Our home in Ocala, Fl was hit by an F-tornado on April 20, Our homeowner's insurance company wasand remainsUniversal Property & Casualty Our home was destroyed and had to rebuilt from the ground up, leaving myself, my husband and our young, sick kitten displaced in hotels for over five monthsIt was an extremely stressful time Our Universal contact was a very helpful and always on time with financial payments, MsJody P, who I cannot say enough good about Universal paid for the rebuilding and replacing of our home and every single thing inside that had been damaged or destroyed; and they paid for our hotel suite and food (till we were settled back into a hotel room with a kitchen) as well I'm truly sorry for all customers who have had problems with their Universal Insurance policies, but for us, Universal - and Jody Price - were a godsend to and wonderful about everythingWe'll always be thankful to themAnd they didn't even drop us after-the-fact Amazing, huh? I called with a concern about being billed twice and spoke with "***" who was professional, polite, informative and helpfulIt turned out that I had "2" policies when only one was needed [redacted] spoke with a supervisor who offered a way for me to receive a refund for one of the policies since it's inceptionIt was a wonderful surprise to find a company who stood behind their company and was not only willing, but offered to make amendsI'm used to making business calls and waiting and waiting and waiting for someone to respond, to get service and to resolved the problemI was very impressed with Universal Property & Casualty and would highly recommend it to others

Am here to report excellent service by Universal Property & Casualty Insurance Company On renewal of my Homeowners Policy noted that the "Declarations" page listed our property as not having "Fire Sprinklers" yet thought we had corrected this issue years ago, as we do have "Fire Sprinklers" I merely sent an Email to one of the company executives, who responded to me within minutes and "CC'd" his response to [redacted] who could take care of this concern Within 30-minutes [redacted] responded to me that yes, in fact, our Agent had indeed advised them we do have "Fire Sprinklers" all the way back in He changed our policy rates and agreed to refund the change in rates all the way back to This is fantastic customer service I travel 100's of thousands of miles every year for business, and have never had customer service like this with any travel company (airline, rental car, hotel, or other travel company) like the service I received today from UPCIC

Universal Property & Casualty Insurance Company was very responsive to a changing insurance need They insure a new property I purchased at the end of August; I upgraded the property in September before putting it on the market in October; unfortunately I didn't have a tenant until 10/and the policy was going to be cancelled for reasons of vacancy on 11/When a tenant was secured on 10/31, their representative, Ms*, was very helpful and we worked together in "problem solving" mode The property manager emailed a copy of the lease and with Ms*'s assistance that was sufficient to stop the insurance cancellation I very much appreciate her suggesting ways to solve the problem, and her detail oriented and prompt follow through that resulted in a happy outcome

I got a quote and then bought a one year property insurance policy for my Naples condo from Universal Property and Casualty through their authorized agency Maninstreet Insurance in Naples. . The agency sent me the policy and the bill and I paid for the first year premium (about $308.00) in full right away. Then six weeks later the insurance company itself sent me an additional bill for $26.00. I first called the agent at Mainstreet and asked him what the additional charge was for since I had paid his bill in full. He became defensive, then confrontational, and said I had to pay the $26.00 or the insurance would be cancelled. I then called Universal and asked them what the additional bill was for and got the runaround first from 'Patrice' and then from ' [redacted] ' (a supervisor). They claimed ed their agency had given me a wrong quote and bill, that it was my problem, and I had to pay the additional $26.00. They were giving me no choice but to pay the $26.00 or have the insurance (that I had already paid a one-year premium) cancelled. I request the company refund the extra $26.00 they made me pay based on the admitted mistake of their own agent. Policy #XXXX-XXXX-XXXX.

Universal cancelled my policy for having asbestos siding on my house My house has asbestos siding when I purchased it years ago and Universal has insured it for the past of those years They also raised the rate on several occasions I have NEVER filed a claim and have excellent credit The take advantage of Florida's predatory homeowners insurance laws DO NOT USE UNIVERSAL!!!!

PLEASE READ THESE PEOPLE ARE THIEFSThey stole $from meI cancelled my policy in Aug with Universal and replaced with another company Six months later I get a bill from my mortgage company for $2,because my escrow account is short I called my former local agent and was told not to worry I would be credited for the full amountBut when submitted to Universal they stated they would only credit from February
I sent them copies of my phone records showing that I placed the calls first to my mortgage company and then to them on August They still refused to give me a full credit even though I was covered under another plan
They had no problem withdrawing my money from escrow a month before the bill was due When the accepted my cancellation and used the date of 2/10/it took almost a month to get the credit returned to my mortgage company
I have waited to get my blood pressure under control from this matter as I have been having severe migraines since this happened I will be filing a complaint with the Dept of Insurance and will be taking them to small Court

I've had a great experience with this company! All their staff have been very professional!!

I had water running out of my ceiling in the kitchen, through recessed lights and out of my speakers due to severe winter weather and huge ice dams on the roofI called universal prop and casualty and they took immediate action giving me tips to preventing further damage and sending an insurance adjuster over within hoursThe adjuster , *** *** worked with my contractor and was extremely professional and diligentI could not have asked for a better experience from an insurance companyI am still waiting for the claim to be processed but do not anticipate any problems

the highest integrity and help when my claim was handled by them regarding a flood at my condo in March of Adjuster and company helped me in a timely fashion with supportand quick paymentsan awful experience was less traumatic due to their help

I'm extremely satisfied with the companyI have been dealing with Universal P & C INS CO for the past years
I do want to especially thank *** *** for her outstanding performance, efficiency & knowledge
I always recommend the company to customers & friends
