Universal Recovery Corporation Reviews (72)

We have complied each time Ms [redacted] requested an itemized breakdownDue to HIPPA laws, I cannot provide the information to the Revdex.comMs [redacted] is more than welcome to come into the office and pick them upOur address is Sunrise Blvd, Suite ~ Rancho Cordova, CA

Our business licence is attachedMs [redacted] never requested communication in writing only, so this will serve as notification

The account was assigned to us in September, for collectionA series of letters were sent, none of which were returned to us, advising of the debtThere was no response to any of those letters. Before assigning the account to us, my client as well sent a series of letters, with no response.Ms [redacted] paid her balance in full on 1/28/Her account wil be updated with the credit bureau to reflect a paid in full statusWe don't remove from the credit bureau

Our client assigned this account to us on 9/23/- not 12/2011, hence the reason her letter was dated 9/23/The debt originated in 11/The account was uploaded to [redacted] *** on 11/4/The consumer was advised that without payment in full, it would be reported to her credit report The upload to reflect a paid in full status was uploaded to [redacted] on 12/1/

I am rejecting this response because: I made a good faith payment and gave them my debit card info and told them to charge the remaining balance at a letter dateYes, I was advised that if payment was not received in full that it would be reported to my credit But Mrs [redacted] suggested that for payment in full I could make a good faith payment and give them my debit card info and authorization to charge the remaining balance at a later dateI complied with what she was suggestingAnd considered it a resolved issue as of that date since they would just charge my card on the date I authorized and there would not be any further communication/payment necessary when I hung up from that callThis was less than days from the date of initial letterThis company does not do what they sayI still have not received my letter that shows this was paidI should have received it last monthI would like Revdex.com to investigate this further with [redacted] agency ( [redacted] ) because I have called them on three different occasions and have been informed this was written off and turned over to universal recovery corporation in December 31, Not September 23, as they claim

I am rejecting this response because: I terminated the callAll I asked for was something in writing, which they said they had sent They refused to send another copyI looked into this, this afternoon and found out that this is a scam this company uses so that there is nothing in writing so that they can then get your credit card over the phoneThey then charge up to times what they were originally asking for and because there is nothing in writing they get away with overcharging and taking your money I talked with a reputable collection agent and was given this information This complaint had now been taken over by an investigator that is currently working this case

I am rejecting this response because: Attacehed is the letter that was mailed on October 2nd, it was delivered at your Rancho Cordova office at 1:16pm on October 6th

The balance due is zero because he paid it! He paid it months after it was reported to his credit reportOnce it's placed on their credit they pay it, it will show as paid in full, it doesn't get removed

It wasn't paid in full before the credit reporting happened and there was no guarantee the credit card charge would go through the day it was authorizedA new paid in full letter was generated today

Attached is the move out calculation provided to Ms. [redacted] and any other tenants. This was sent to her shortly after moveout. If Ms. [redacted] can provide any documentation that she had the premises cleaned and repaired, please provide that and I will forward it to my client for review. However, please note that the eviction happened in April 2013..... Why was this not disputed before?

The account was indeed sent to us on 9/23/Our 1st notice was generated that day to the address supplied by our clientNo mail has been returned I spoke directly with Mr [redacted] yesterday and advised I would generate another letter to his current address in LAThat should go out with hours The policy cancelled for non payment in Our client sent it to us for collections and it was uploaded into our system on 9/23/The Statute of Limitations to sue on a breach of contract has expired - Credit reporting is up to years My client has informed me that they made several attempts to notify Mr [redacted] of his outstanding balance, to no avail As of this date, the account remains unpaid

We have been in business 20+ yearsWe strictly adhere to the ***Mr*** has already confirmed the address we have for him is correctThe first notice was sent on 9/23/and it has not been returned to us, so we can only assume it was delivered to that addressThe second notice is set to print on 10/24/We have Mr***'s policy # that is associated with the car insurance he obtained in Additionally, nothing has been added to the account except interest at 10% per annum - not times the amount owed

I am rejecting this response because: I have requested statements for the two larger bills each time I call and the business responds stating they are not obligated to send me the statements because they have sent
them in and They bullied me into giving my debit card informationAfter doing so, the representative told me the different fees associated with the different payment methodsI was already sobbing and upset because of the poor and rude treatment, I gave my routing and account information because the fee was cheaperAfter getting off the phone, I contacted my banker and he advised me to close my account because I was not provided any documentation to what I was being charged for and because after explaining the situation to them, this business was not proven trustworthy due to refusal of providing documentation

Ms*** was given all the information she requestedShe wasn't happy with the amount owed and requested a settlementShe was offered a settlement, but wanted it even lowerWhen she was told that was the best offer we could give, she stated we were treating her like a criminal and hung upAt
no time was she threatened or treated badly

The account was assigned - not bought, in 3/We spoke to her in 4/and she said "good luck getting any money from me on this" and hung up
When she called into the office, we could not locate her account under her now married nameIt's listed under ***, which we were made aware of by her
Attorney General Complaint, received todayShe wanted it removed from her credit since we couldn't find itShe was asked other identifying questions, so that we may have found her account and she wouldn't answer themUnfortunately, we cannot remove an account from the credit bureau unless we know what account it is - and only remove it if it was reported inn errorShe hung up without ever giving us a real opportunity to find her account
She may call the office, *** *** ***, and speak with Ms***Her account # is ***

Every time Ms*** has requested an itemized statement, it has been sent to her

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to my concern, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me

Mr*** asked how he could dispute the billhe was told to submit his dispute in writingHe refused, saying he didn't feel he should have to do anything and requested a supervisormr*** told him the same thingHe became quite beligerent, yelling, cussing, screaming, threatening to beat up
Mr***At that time, Mr*** terminated the call

I am rejecting this response because: The attached statements show that there was an adjustment to zero out the balance, hence no payment was owed by meThis account therefore needs to be deleted from my credit report

I am rejecting this response because: it was unethical and malicious to report this before the charge had a chance to go through. I was mislead to believe by giving them my debit card info this would not be reported. There was no reason to assume my charge wouldn't go through and the ethical thing for them to do would have been to wait till after the date of our arrangement to see if it would or wouldn't go through.
