U.S. Air Solutions Reviews (70)

We purchased a [redacted] for duct cleaning from [redacted], however apparently they operate as U.S. Air Solutions as that is who scheduled with us and came out.
They played all sorts of games with us regarding scheduling (made us schedule about 6 weeks out, then called the day before the appointment to reschedule because the "technician's equipment broke and it won't be fixed for a couple weeks", then again the day before they called to say they couldn't do the 3-5 window we had but could do 11-1 and wanted to see if that would be okay - lucky for us I made that work)... so FINALLY the technician comes out, he goes in the attic and looks at our brand new Trane system just installed by a Revdex.com A+ rated HVAC company a month ago.. and tells me we have MOLD in our ducts and AC system, that he can't do the cleaning until we address it. Lucky for us, he can clean it for an extra $350-400. I tell him I'm not paying him for that without getting a second opinion, no way, so he leaves. My HVAC company sends someone out that same day, the technician goes in the attic and properly takes the panels off (US Air Solutions technician just unscrewed some screws then was bending the panel back to look inside and show me the "mold" he was referencing). The technician showed me the "mold" the guy was talking about - a tiny piece of burnt insulation from when they torched it during installation. He showed me where you would actually see mold first if there was any mold in the system, none present. No mold whatsoever.
The technician with [redacted]/US Air Solutions did not even look at the right places, did not properly open the system to look at them (didn't even bother to screw it back in when he left, letting our cold air into the attic), did not test the "mold" to confirm it was mold, and who knows what fake method he would have used to "clean" the ducts there on the spot if I did pay him 350-400 dollars like he wanted to, likely nothing effective if there truly was mold.
Their solution when I told them of this? They only have one other technician and he wouldn't be available for another 2-3 weeks (again delaying the service!) and offered me a free duct cleaning next year. No thank you! They lost our trust already. Who knows what the next technician might have claimed to try to scam us.
Completely unethical business. We are never letting them back in our house again.
I strongly encourage anyone reading this to NOT use [redacted]/US Air Solutions.

we used a coupon from a mailer to have a vent cleaning done. We did not opt to purchase a more expensive service, and now they call once or twice a month. I have asked them at least 3 times to remove my number from their call list, and they continue to call. Today, I filed a complaint with the FCC and encourage others with the same experience to do the same.

I scheduled to have my air ducts cleaned, using a Groupon, for which I paid $49. The company arrived, looked in two of my vents, stated that the problem was greater than they though. Told me we have rats, and mold, and they would be happy to clean the vents for $500. I asked to see the proof of rats and mold, they said that it was really hard to see, which is why I could not see any evidence. I asked for them to just clean the vents for the groupon price, and they said that the $49 only got them in the door, and in order for them to clean we would have to pay the $500. I again asked for them to show the evidence of the rats and mold, and they again were not able to show anything. I felt like I was on a 20/20 expose, and felt it was all a scam. I did call Groupon and they refunded my money, but I wanted to share my horrible experience.

Only close appointment was about 10 days out. Confirmed day and time for air duct cleaning. Schedule was for ytech to show up between 1pm and 3pm on a Saturday..Tech was no show and I called office. No one available so left a message for return call to resolve the no-show issue. No call reurned. I finally contacted someone in the office the following Tuesday. No explanation given nor any apology. Made it seem as I, the customer, was at fault. Only option was for me to schedule another appointment several days out. Told them I couldn't trust them and cancelled the service. Their response was okay, no problem for them. effort to retain this business was non-existant.Extremely sorry excuse for customer service and lack of respect for customer/future customer.

Review: We signed up for a 5-year Maintenance Plan ($1,000.) on June 9, 2014. Included was "Guaranteed Emergency Service Within 24 Hours", and we were told that was 365 days a year. On July 4, 2014, the A/C unit failed and we could smell a burning scent. We called the company at 8:50 A.M. and was told that the technician would be contacted. At 9:13 AM, we were called by the 'boss' and told that the technician had just loaded up his family and picnic supplies to go to a park for the holiday, but that as soon as he had his family situated, he would call the 'boss' to say when he could be here. The 'boss' said that he would then call us so we would know when to expect the technician. We heard nothing for several hours. At 2:13 PM, we started calling both the company and the technician on a regular basis, but got NO answers and NO option to leave a message. We started calling the company again at 8:01 AM the next morning, calling 4 times within the following hour. At this point, the "guaranteed" 24-hour time was up, and since we could get no one to help, we started to contact other companies to see if anyone could help us. At 9:35 AM, the technician called, saying he was ready to come over. When asked why he didn't respond to calls the previous day, he said he was at the hospital with his wife who was giving birth to their first baby, which was very different from what his 'boss' had said. We told the technician that we were calling other companies to help us and that we were very upset with his company and wanted to cancel the contract/maintenance plan. He just said "OK" and said he would tell his boss, who would contact us. We never heard from anyone until July 10th, after we made several more calls to the company and finally managed to leave a message.Desired Settlement: Because we were lied to by some or all of the people we spoke to, and because the company didn't honor their "guarantee", and because the people involved refused to take or return our calls, we want a refund of most of the payment made for the maintenance plan. Because there was a 'checkup' and minor service done to our A/C unit at the original visit (6/9/14), we are willing to 'pay' the first year of $200. We want a refund of $800. The company has offered a fraction of that (first $200., then $400.), but that is not acceptable to us. After long conversations yesterday (7/10/14), one of the owners promised to call back this morning at about 9:00 AM. We called the company at 12:30 PM and left a message. As of 2:00 PM, we have gotten no call.

Response:

I would like to begin by thanking the BB for their assistance in trying to resolve this matter as previous attempts to resolve the issue with Mrs. [redacted] directly have been unsuccessful.

During the time when Mrs. [redacted] received services to maintain and repair her existing a/c unit she purchased a 5 year maintenance agreement from U.S. Air Solutions. The cost for the services rendered was waived due to the signing of the maintenance plan agreement.

The maintenance agreement that Mrs. [redacted] purchased includes 24 hour emergency service. Mrs. [redacted] called our office on 7/4/14 at 8:15am. Her call was first returned at 9:15am that same day, during which it was stated that the technician in Prescott was able to go to Mrs. [redacted]'s place of residence in order to perform the required services. However there was no answer to either the first call or the subsequent calls thereafter, and several voice messages were left. Mrs. [redacted] returned our call later that evening, however our technician was no longer available to attend to the call due to the fact that it was a national holiday, however he was able to go to the residence the following morning. The technician called Mrs. [redacted] at 9:15am on 7/5/14 to confirm her availability for a 9:30am service appointment at which time Mrs. [redacted] informed the technician that she had contacted another company and they were on their way to replace her unit.

We understand that not having a fully functional a/c unit on these hot summer days is unbearable which is why we did everything we possibly could to rectify the situation as best and quickly as possible, given the incident occurred on a national holiday. Despite our attempts the client contacted a different company and had her unit replaced limiting our ability to resolve the issue.

U.S. Air Solutions is happy to refund Mrs. [redacted] in full for the maintenance agreement, however the services that were performed at the time of the maintenance agreement agreement will have to be billed to Mrs. [redacted]. These services are listed below:1. Outdoor/Indoor Coil Cleaning - $299.002. Capacitor Replacement - $199.003. Labor (1.5 hours) - $90.004. Full Service Tune-up - $29.99For a total of $617.99

I have previously tried to explain to Mrs. [redacted] that these services were given to her free of charge due to her purchase of the maintenance plan, and if the maintenance plan is cancelled then we will need to charge the services rendered to Mrs. [redacted]'s account. Due to the partial responsibility we feel in this matter, we have offered Mrs. [redacted] a refund of $400.00, and are willing to honor the maintenance plan, and would like to mention again that the only reason we had difficulty communicating with and dispatching a technician immediately is due to the issue occurring on a national holiday.

We hope that by refunding $400.00, which is the difference between the services rendered and the maintenance agreement, and by honoring the maintenance plan agreement that we can resolve this issue.

Thank you,

Consumer

Response:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.

My problem/problems with this business are based on several things. When the original representatives from the company came to my house on June 9th and talked about the maintenance agreement, they stressed - more than once! - that even though they were based in the Phoenix area, they had two technicians living in this area (Prescott and surroundings) that would be available as stated on the agreement: “Guaranteed Emergency Service Within 24 Hours”, and that it meant 24/7 service, 365 days - yes, holidays included. It was even mentioned that since they got extra pay for working nights and holidays, the technicians were glad to work then. I did not have an actual readable copy of said contract until I was able to print it from the email copy they sent from the electronic ‘tablet’ they ’wrote’ it on, so some of the very small print was not able to be read until I had the printout. One of my phones does not have a call history feature, so I don’t have a complete record of my outgoing calls, but what I do have is this: On 7/4/14, my initial call to a local number (on the business card) was at about 8:15 AM. I was told that the problem (no A/C) would be reported and we would be contacted. At 8:50, I called the Phoenix area number on the paperwork we had, and again was told we would be contacted. At 9:13, we got a call from a different number from someone stating that he was the technician’s ‘boss’, that he had talked to the technician who had told him that he was loading his family and supplies for a picnic into his truck and heading for a park. When he got the family settled, he would call the ‘boss’ back and let him know when he could get here to help us. We heard nothing for five hours. We have both call waiting and an answering machine on our telephone line, so we could not have missed a call. Also, we did not leave the house all day, as we were afraid we would miss a call. At 2:13, I called the Phoenix area number again - no answer. At 2:15, I called the technician’s cell phone number - no answer. I tried them both again at 4:48 and 6:13. There were probably other outgoing calls that day, but these are the only ones I have a record of. I know there were more calls to the technician’s cell phone because almost every time I called, I got an automated message saying “Your call did not go through”. The next day, 7/5/14, I started calling the Phoenix area number at 8:01 AM, with more calls at 8:16, 8:24, and 8:59. By that time we were uncomfortably hot and extremely upset with the company and had decided to cancel the agreement since the company could not be bothered to honor their part of it, or even to talk to us. (We started to call other, local companies to see if anyone could come and see what our A/C problem was, and how long it would take to fix it.) The technician who would not take our calls the previous day finally called at 9:35 AM, asking if it was a good time to come and check out our unit. I told him no, and asked why we hadn’t heard from him the day before, when his ’boss’ said we would. He said he was at the hospital with his wife who was giving birth to their first baby. I told him that his ’boss’ had given me a different story. He stumbled over trying to work both stories together, but I told him not to bother, that we were in the process of getting someone else to look at the A/C, to determine if it could be fixed or needed to be replaced. I also said we wanted to cancel the agreement. He said a very indifferent ‘Oh, okay. I’ll tell my boss and he’ll contact you.’ Over the next few days, in various conversations with different ‘bosses’, I was given two more different stories about the technician’s whereabouts on that day, plus told that people couldn’t be reached because it was a holiday, and they wanted to enjoy themselves. We would have liked to enjoy the day, too, but couldn’t because of the heat and not being able to leave the hot house. As senior citizens, we are much more susceptible to getting overheated than others. As to the charges for work done on June 9th, I was told that the capacitor needed to be replaced, and that the usual cost was $110.00, but since we were going to take the maintenance agreement, it would be included. I was not told that there was any other ‘work’ done besides checking over the unit. Because of the capacitor and the initial (telephone) quote of $25.00 for the maintenance visit, I agreed to ‘pay’ $200.00 of the $1000.00 paid for the agreement, and I want the balance of $800.00 returned. As for the other ‘charges’ that have been mentioned, they have been told to me before, by different parties, and they are always different. They have varied by as much as $300.00. I do not feel that we were treated fairly, I feel we were purposely lied to and ignored, and that the company did not live up to their part of the agreement.

I purchased a $39 voucher for a "full HVAC system air-duct cleaning" by US AIR Solutions from [redacted], and when the service provider came to my house a month after I scheduled the appt.,the technician (as well as an office representative over the phone) informed me that the voucher provisions were in error and that an additional $235 would be due to provide the indicated services. If the company was already aware of the "misprint" then they should have informed purchasers as such before coming out to the house. We were not going to pay any additional money and the provider left us unserviced and totally aggravated.

After two no-show appointments where I rearranged my schedule to be available, and 30 mins. on hold on 3 separate call attempts to the head office, I am about to ask Groupon for my money back. Is this any way to run a business?

Why do they keep hanging up on me?

Great company and sub contractors are nice and blue collar guys like myself, can't go wrong with that! They know what they are doing and are experienced. Package furnace and sanitize deal helped my family out a lot! Good against allergies! Fresh home smell after they were done and I could actually breath! I recommend US Air to anyone that wants it done right and a deal for your dirty furnace and returns! Should be A rating but people sound like they aren't to intelligent or knowledgeable about even the slightest thing about air ducts and furnaces/filters, which isn't there fault but cmon people its something that NEEDS to be done! Especially with small children and families!

They contracted out the work to a local company Gold Air Services who arrived at the house and immediately told me we had a mold issue and that it would be over $700 to treat. Apparently this is a scare tactic scam and most companies include the antimicrobial spray as a standard part of their cleanings (not extra $). After researching what the technician was telling me, I declined to have the "additional" (and costly) work done.

The tech left my bedside and then apparently tricked my non-english speaking nanny into signing it instead! Before leaving, they told her they would be in touch with me and then left. When I saw this, I immediately called the company who said they would get in contact with the tech to find out whether or not the additional work was actually performed and whether or not I could look forward to fighting over a $700+ bill that I would soon receive. I placed this call yesterday and still have not heard anything back.

Finally, the day of the service, I happened to be laid up in bed after a surgery the day before and thus had the chance to watch the other "tech" "clean" one of the returns in my bedroom. The hose had NO SUCTION! There was a small feather from a down pillow in the vent which it could not remove, he actually picked the tiny feather off with his fingers and fed it to the sad excuse for a vacuum. After seeing this transpire, I was convinced that all they had done was kissed up dust in the house without the suction power to even come close to removing it.

Wow, I just had these people come today... and Where do I start. I got a deal on Amazon Local. The company appears to be headquartered in AZ but they work around the country. When I called I waited over 20 minutes and nothing so I emailed the company to schedule and got a time and date two weeks out. A day before the scheduled cleaning someone from the company called me and said a tech would be two hours early. The the day of the service the tech was over two hours late. When He arrived he said that my vents need to be sanitized and sealed and it would cost "a couple bucks extra." How much is a couple bucks --$150. The deal also included dryer vent cleaning and he said if the dryer vent is on the roof he will have to charge extra. Really how often do dryer vents exit on the roof? When I told him I highly doubt he will have to go on the roof b/c the dryer vent exists out the front on my house he was like all mad and took him 30 minutes to finish the job and left a lovely mess behind that I now have the pleasure of cleaning up. DO NOT use this service... Complete waste of time and HORRIBLE HORRIBLE service.

Had this company out after purchasing a Groupon, I really appreciated the 2 hour window instead of an all day waiting period. Two men showed up and immediately got to work. While one man was cleaning my ductwork another man did a quick evaluation of my Air Conditioner (A free service with the groupon). He noted that my indoor coils were very dirty and causing my system to run inefficiently, since an AC guy had told me this once before I decided to allow him to clean the coils. HE EVEN DID IT FOR LESS MONEY THAN THE OTHER GUY FROM G[redacted] B[redacted]. All in all I would highly recommend this company! My electric bill went down slightly (I'm assuming from the clogged coils) And I have substantially less dust in my home. I must say I found a great deal on Groupon!

My husband and I recently purchased a voucher from US Air Solutions via [redacted]. The service posted included the following: Full HVAC system Air-Duct Cleaning with Dryer-Vent Cleaning or A/C Unit Check up AND a 20-point Furnace inspection. Cleaning of 1 supply duct system (main lines, furnace/blower-motor cleaning, and sanitizing), unlimited supply vents, 1 return vent and duct system, main supply trunks, 1 furnace inspection and filter cleaning if needed, plus choose between 1 dryer-vent cleaning or 1 A/C unit check-up.
My father said that the technician showed up to do the duct cleaning and didn't or wouldn't give him his name. He showed up in an unmarked vehicle with only an air compressor and a hose. The employee proceeded to clean the one return vent right inside the door, cleaned 4 of 6 supply vents on our main floor, 0 of 5 supply vents in our basement and 3 of 5 supply vents on our second floor. The voucher says "unlimited supply vents." My father said the employee did not even remove a single cover to actually clean out the vents, instead just used his air compressor to blast a high pressure burst of air through each one he actually "cleaned" which my father I also described as a term that could be applied loosely here. The voucher states that main lines, furnace/blower-motor cleaning and sanitizing would be done. My father reports that none of that was done unless the air compressor actually has sanitizing chemicals in the air it blasts?! The voucher states I was to also receive one furnace inspection and filter cleaning if needed and I was told the employee didn't even touch our furnace as my father followed him around and watched him work the entire 15-20 minutes it took him to do our home from showing up to leaving. The voucher ALSO gave us the choice of either a dryer vent cleaning or an A/C unit check up. We chose the dryer vent cleaning to which employee's response was that he couldn't do that for us because of our flex system that he doesn't have the "technology" for cleaning! Information regarding this is posted NO WHERE on their ad or their website. My father went on to say that he asked what happened to all the dust the technician was blowing down the ducts through our supply vents and was told that it would blow it all down into the bottom of our furnace for which he wouldn't be removing. He did; however, happily tell my father that for $250.00 he would come back another time and cut a hole in the furnace (for who knows what reason) and have the dust and such suctioned out as it will just sit there. At that point my father called my husband to discuss the technician's revelation of us suddenly needing to pay $250.00 more to do the work he was supposed to be doing already. The last thing the voucher said was that we'd get a 20-point Furnace inspection. I find that difficult to promise if the employee doesn't even touch your furnace, let alone remove a vent cover to clean out a supply vent? I'm not new to having my vents cleaned.
After this fiasco I called the company left a message on their machine AND sent them an e-mail with my concerns. They called back and left a message... again with no name as to whom was calling just saying it was the Air Duct service and to call them. I did later that day while at lunch and got ahold of a receptionist whom immediately told me their manager had just stepped out to lunch after I let her know why I was calling. She told me she would be happy to take down notes on why I was calling so her manager would have them. As I spoke she continually interrupted me with her version of "I will tell you now our employees never behave like that, and in your case he did go in and give your father his name and paperwork, walking your father through every procedure he was working on in your home etc." I asked her if she was trying to tell me that my father was lying to me as I don't think my father would come up with something wrong to tell me unless something was wrong with the service. She replied no she wasn't, but continued to tell me that their technician didn't behave as such and actually spent hours in our home cleaning and walking my father through the procedure as well as going above and beyond what our voucher said it was for. I told her that I was sorry but I disagreed with her and she wasn't there. I am happy her technician already gave his side of the story. I asked to speak to the manager when he came back and then for her name. She hung up on me and now three days later, still no call. I called [redacted] and they refunded me the voucher and took down all my notes. Please be wary of this deal from US Air Solutions and their UN-CURTEOUS behavior to customers.

The US Air Solutions service men just left my house. I had purchased an Amazon local voucher for air duct cleaning, and the "cleaning" was basically a joke. I originally scheduled the appointment for the 11 am - 1 pm time slot. This morning, I got a call from the serviceman confirming that I had an appointment in the 12 pm - 2 pm time slot (wrong time frame), but informing me that, in any event, he could not be here until 4 pm because he was "working alone all day and ha[d] a lot of other jobs." Just after 2 pm, I received a voice message on my answering machine informing me that he was on his way. He arrived with another worker (not alone) shortly before 3 pm. These workers were finished cleaning the ducts in about 15 minutes. One worker did the talking and another did the labor (what little was done). The talker asked to clean the furnace and the "really big exit ducts," which would be "extra." I declined and stated I wanted to stick with what was covered by the voucher. Meanwhile, the worker took a shop vac and vacuumed approximately half of the ducts in the floor on the first floor of our home, skipping entire rooms and hallways (They were in and out so fast, I did not at first realize all of the ducts they skipped). Further, I asked about the second floor and was told that was "extra." Moreover, a vent cover was left on top of the vent, not even replaced, in one of the rooms. The talker did ask where the dryer was located and looked at it for approximately 60 seconds. He exited the laundry room and informed me that the "dryer hose is short," so it was good and did not need to be cleaned. I can assure you that it most certainly did. I promptly called the company from whom I purchased the voucher and obtained a refund. I firmly advise against purchasing a voucher for/hiring this company for air duct cleaning and/or service.

On 22 or 23 September 2014, I got a call from a telemarketer that gave his name as [redacted] and that he represented "Air SOlutions". He offered me a furnace air duct cleaning package with furnace checkup for $49. I said how can you offer that for so little? He gave a spiel about building customer base. And I decided 'What the heck?" and accepted the offer.
On Monday 29 September 2014, A contractor, "[redacted]", came to my house. He said his son was out in the white van which he had backed into my driveway. He stank of stale used chewing tobacco. After some time looking around, which included removing both access panels on my furnace and sticking his hands in there to look around, and talking about he couldn't do the work the telemarketer had offered for $49, he talked other offers for more money. I told him I wasn't interested. I had decided before hand that I was not going along with any Bait-and-Switch on this deal. As he left, [redacted] said in his pseudo jovial way, "It's been fun." That sounded odd to me.
The next day I went to start the furnace, but it did not stay on. The burners would light for a few seconds, then everything would shut down. I remove the top access panel and saw a loose wire, but could not find where it could connect to. I then called the number [redacted] had given me ###-###-####, and soon was talking to "[redacted]" who gave her number as ###-###-####. She offered to have [redacted] return. I declined at the time since I had business out of state for the next week.
I actually returned the next Saturday. On Sunday I finally figured out what [redacted] had done and got my furnace running properly. He had disconnected a sensor wire (with me watching him, no less!) from the front of the burner manifold which could not be easily seen. The sensor detected whether or not the burners were actually on. With the wire disconnected, the sensor could not detect the change in temperature and electrical characteristics of the manifold, and turned off the start-up and shutdown the furnace.
The next business day, I again called the 1-877 number and talked with [redacted] because [redacted] was on another call.
While this event did not cost me any cash outlay, I did go through emotional stress from having been "messed" with by someone from the corporate service world. But if this so-and-so is doing this kind of thing to others less flexible than I, that could generated unnecessary costs for them.
I don't care to get an apology from this character. I don't ever want to see him again. But I do consider what he did to be criminal, a kind of commercial vandalism.

After having to wait one month for the soonest available appointment, the long awaited day finally arrived. I took the day off work to be home during my appointment window. Four hours before they were to arrive, the company calle and stated that they ha scheduled me in the wrong city and that I would have to wait yet another week. On the day of the appointment I called the general number and asked that they have the technician call me and let me know when he was on his way. After no phone call from the tech and no show during my appointment window, I called the company yet again. At this point no one answers the phone and I have to leave a message. My messages are returned and I am assured that the tech will call within 20 minutes. Surprise, surprise, no call. Two days after an still no return call from the company . After months of waiting and countless hours of my time, I just had amazon local refund my voucher . I would NEVER recommend this company! Don't waste your time.

StayAway!!!!!!

I've scheduled three appointments and have had three no shows. No remorse. No apologies. No nothing!!!! Do not do business with this company. I cannot say this more emphatically!!!

I bought a voucher from Amazon for Air-Duct Cleaning which included
Voucher includes:
cleaning of 1 supply duct system (main lines, furnace/blower-motor cleaning, and sanitizing),
unlimited supply vents,
1 return vent and duct system,
main supply trunks,
1 furnace inspection and filter cleaning if needed,
plus choose between 1 dryer-vent cleaning or 1 A/C unit check-up
The guy who came checked out the vents in the house. He told me it will be 15-20 mins and he will be done.
The next thing he started doing was trying to sell all his services when I told him I just need to see how he does this service. He got very aggressive when I told him I don't need any of his services but just want to do the services I bought on the voucher.
That really pissed him off. He bought a big vacuum, put it inside one vent kept it running for 4-5 mins and in the meantime just did some superficial dryer vent cleaning and then left. SO basically I paid him 40 dollars for 5 mins and I asked him about other vents he said that what he did was all the tasks mentioned in the voucher.
He also damaged my wall when he brought his machine up. It was a big mistake on my part to buy the voucher. Pathetic service. Very bad attitude of the person doing the service.

This company is a scam! Got a Groupon for a air duct cleaning service. The technician comes out and tells me I have mold! Brand new unit, just inspected by a reputable A++ company who is very thorough. Asked him to show me the most so I can contact the company who just inspected my AC system and the technician could not show it to me.. He tried to LIE to me, to someone who is un-educated would most likely fall for his lies but thankfully I knew better! SCAM, there are MANY MANY reports of them telling people they have mold in order to upsell! DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. REPORT THEM TO GROUPON! LETS SHUT THIS BS DOWN!

Review: We used US Air Solutions thru a [redacted] advertised as "Indoor Air of America". After many attempts to make an appt thru Appt number ###-###-#### we were finally given a time and date with "US Air Solutions" in Scottsdale, AZ. 3 men came at the appointed time but were less than clean or thorough. One made high pressure pitches for Mold Fumigation ($180) and a 4 year Warranty/Inspections($100). Alarmed at the thought of mold (I've since heard that they tell most clients they have mold) we agreed to the service. I now understand that what they probably did was a fogging "Sanitizing" which other companies include in the cleaning cost. Our [redacted] was for $279 service and yet we got a bill for $280 on top of that! We first called owner the same day to report that the workers had left all the dryer vent lint scattered on the ground outside our Condo unit and failed to clean it up. They did come back 4 days later to clean it up. I later called to say we are not interested in them coming back the next four years and would like the $100 refunded. Owner said he'd "look into it". After no return call, repeat attempts to speak with owner, I finally reach owner about a week later and tell him we want the $100 refunded to Credit Card. He says "he will take care of it." I asked how long it would take and he said 'give it 3 days'. 10 days later it is still not refunded. In the mean time I've made other inquiries which have lead me to believe we have been scammed and am now requesting full refund of the $280 we paid. We believe the $279 value of the [redacted] covers the cost of cleaning and sanitizing fog spray. In viewing the web site you can find that they claim "100% satisfaction with our services. No questions asked!!" Warning to others, DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY.Desired Settlement: A full refund of $280 AND for Revdex.com to change their rating. A- is obsured for someone with this many complaints!

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.

Regards,

This company continues to make false claims and we will not be satified until our full $280 is returned. There is no indication that they attempted to return the $100 other than his say so. We do not believe 13 complaints with the Revdex.com constitutes a "good standing" and anyone can view the negative Yelp reviews. You can see confirmation of high pressure sales pitches and unhappy customers. They claim on their web site to deliver 100% satisfaction. Our [redacted] of $279 value we believe covered the services preformed that day. We firmly believe we did not receive "additional services" and request the refund of the additional charge of $280

Response:

as a large company that serves over 3500 clients a year we do our best to keep everyone happy and do not always succeed

if the client is not happy with the job done and think that my tech did not service her system as promised or did not clean her air ducts

her dryer vent and sanitized her system I would be glad to discuss a full refund

the client was offered additional service that was recomended by my tech , she chose to purchase them plus she purchased a service plan

I agreed to refund the service plan fee of a 100 dollars and we did

I will contact the client to see why she did not receive it yet.

Regards,

Once again, "Fine words, NO ACTION." The business has NOT refunded the money and the business has NOT attempted to contact us. As a matter of fact I don't believe he ever has. I have always initiated the calls. I am not contesting the 'job done" as described and please note, that was all covered by the [redacted]. No additional costs! He says we were offered additional services but fails to describe what that was. In fact the technicion offered to "Fumigate" but in contacting other area Cleaning Services I now realize they use the following words interchangeably. "Sanitize", "Deodorize" "Fogging" "Antimicrobial". We do not contest that the Tech "Sanitized" (Included in Service) we do contest that he did any additional service of "Fumigating". There was definitely a high pressure up sale for "Fumigating" and Warranty. He did no additional service and we don't want your warranty. In 2 weeks there has been no refund or phone contact. This is not good customer service. We request the additional charge of $280 refunded. The only acceptable resolution. This won't be settled until the money is back in our account

They offered a promo via Amazon Local Deals. Tech never showed for the appointment, and upon calling their 877 number and leaving a message, no one has ever bothered to call back. The email address for this company uses yahoo.com. That should have been a red flag to Amazon before promoting this company's deal. What legitimate business is going to be using yahoo for email? Now we know why: it is a scam artist.
