US Restoration & Remodeling Inc. Reviews (86)

Received a call from Sean on Wednesday (Oct 15, 2014) stating that he was going to call on Friday to schedule a time to come out to the house to take a piece of siding with him to try to match. Today is Monday (October 27) and NO CALL!. These "minor issues" includes siding replacement, screen replacement and flashing. Referring to the funds "depreciation value" that need to be paid to the company will be released by the insurance company when the work is COMPLETE. After all, you have the majority of payment ($14,000 plus). A roof does not cost $14,000 dollars. We realize that it takes some time to schedule, but this is ridiculous!!!!! Communication is POOR !!!!!!!!!

The homeowner executed a contract with US Restoration & Remodeling, Inc. on 8/20/2014, but did not provide us with his insurance paperwork and mortgage paperwork until the first week of October 2014.  His insurance check then had to be processed by his mortgage...

company before he could tender his deposit, which did not even happen until the end of October.  We had 15 rain days in October, so by the time Mr. [redacted] gave us his deposit we had 87 clients before him to have their installs performed.  We told him that we would do our best to get to him before winter but it was not likely.  The weather turned right around Thanksgiving and at this time we told him he would have to wait till Spring. We told Mr. [redacted] he had to have a Spring install for two (2) important reasons:1.     He has Rolled Asphalt Roofing (flat roof) and Rubber Roofing (flat roof) which require a warm temperature to adhere and install.  This cannot be done in colder temperatures otherwise the integrity of the roof is seriously jeopardized and we would be unable to provide him with any warranty, which each of our clients receive.    2.     His residence is a 3-story row house with no access.  He also has slate and metal roofing which makes it a very complex install that only a limited amount of companies, including USR&R, are qualified to make.  Because there is no access, the complexity of the install and most importantly, safety concerns; i.e., frost and condensation on the slate and metal roofs, it is reckless to perform the install during the winter months.  We have performed over 5000 commercial and residential installs in the last 6 years.  Any company that claims they can perform these repairs during the winter must be seriously questioned and/or examined.  We’ve told Mr. [redacted] since late October that we will perform his install as soon as possible in the Spring once the weather takes a turn.  USR&R will not jeopardize the safety of our workers or the integrity of our services under any circumstance. It should also be noted, our supplement department has been working on estimate to send to [redacted] Insurance on Mr. [redacted]'s behalf because they are trying to get away with only paying $13,053.34 on a claim that will actually cost well over $25,000.00, which is fairly typical for insurance companies to initially do in a claim like this.  We want to ensure Mr. [redacted] receives the insurance proceeds in which he is entitled so his residence is put back together as it should be.

They have yet to contact us about...

the unfinished stuff. And there are damaged items they haven't addressed. A screen guy contacted us but has been here. They think about final bill, money of course when we have been dealing with incomplete work, no return calls and over all unsatisficed bussiness.

I am rejecting this response because: Dan S[redacted] refuses to return my phone calls to scheduled my repairs. He owes me over 1000.00 for overpayment for work that I completed. The roof was not installed according to manufacturers specification and has not been resolved over two years. The siding is buckling and all the corner posts were not installed correctly as it was installed in the winter months and has since expanded causing buckling. His continues to play a game of semantics, the bottom line he was paid in full and submitted fraudulent invoices to me and my insurance company by a contractor who never did any work on my house. The warranty work has nothing to do with his alleged dispute with my insurance company.

I would like to amend my response concerning nonacceptance of US Restoration's response to my complaint. At no time did US Restoration ever tell me that there had to be at least two other jobs before scheduling my small repair job. I was assured by [redacted] in September and again in November that the repairs would be made before winter.  Thank You, [redacted]

HiFinally, they ended their work. But they made me spend so much time.I hope that the same consumer will not come forward.

We told the homeowner the roof was fixed from the leak 2 days before the Harvey storm came in.  His roof has not leaked.  We explained this to him a week ago and also 2 days ago.  He was not home when we did the repair. At this point we just need to schedule a crew to paint the...

ceiling where the leak occurred.  This has been communicated.

We have revised our bill to deduct off the previously billed step flashing.  We thought it was replaced around the skylights.  We were able to reuse it. So therefore, there is a balance of $159.96 owed to us.  We are willing to write this off as a paid in full.  Per our contract with Mr and Mrs [redacted].  The overhead and profit goes to the company to settle and negotiate the bill with the insurance carrier.  We consider this settled at this point.  If there is anything else please let me know.Dan S[redacted]General ManagerU.S. Restoration & Remodeling, Inccell ###-###-####phone ###-###-####fax ###-###-####

As of today still no one show up or call me about the work schedule. As of 10/15/2016 is exactly 4 months from the date I handed over the $9,054.00 check to US Restoration and Remodeling. Since US Restoration and Remodeling had breached their OWN contract, I no longer wish to do business with US Restoration and Remodeling and I would like US Restoration and Remodeling to return my money for breached of contract. Also, I have filed a formal complaint with the Attorney's General Office against US Restoration and Remodeling.

This message is in response to the above claim against US Restoration and Remodeling Inc. We have been in contact numerous times this weekend with their General Manager Dan to resolve this issue. I am happy to report that we are happy with the resolution. Unfortunately part of the cause was lack of communication by the insurance company.Mr and Mrs [redacted]

I reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find the resolution is satisfactory to me given a timely call with a satisfactory plan of action.

We have been talking with [redacted] every week for the last month.  Last week I told him our siding guy would be able to start this week or the next.  We we just waiting for our crew to become available.

We are in the process of supplementing the billing with the insurance carrier so the final bill is not yet paid. We are working in the screens and it appears that our subcontractor may have misplaced them. We will be contacting the homeowners to wrap this up.

We have finished the job and our installer has been trying to meet with [redacted] to do a walk through.

I was present before the work began and during the entire job. I was never informed of anything by the roofing company and was assured that the only cost to me was my deductible cost of $2490.00.  If the insurance company pays their claim O.K. otherwise I feel ti is a scam. To inform me for the first time several months after the work was done is unacceptable.

Revdex.com:Thank you for your assistance in this matter.
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me. However, I wish to keep this complaint open until the deposit of $1114.64 is refunded and the company's funds clear at my bank.

They have been saying the same thing for weeks and still not able to give me a date for completion. Not aceptable as I sold this house.

I am waiting for contractor to submit a paid in full invoice to my insurance company as well as verbal communication with my insurance company.  This is what owner of contracting company promised he would do when he phoned me the morning of 3/31.  Until that time, my complaint is unresolved.  I made contact with my insurance company, the Revdex.com, and the contractor on the afternoon of 3/31.  I was told by contractor that it would be 4/4 before he could contact my insurance company.  I am waiting for his follow-through on this.

We are reviewing the billing to see if there is any refund due to the homeowner after the additional material is needed. We also have to verify if the insurance company has paid for the extra squares of shingles, the wood replacement and the permit.  Upon the review we will be able to go over...

this with the homeowner.

It seems as though there was a misunderstanding with the homeowner. The job was scheduled, however the homeowner was not calling the correct phone number.
