business practice to contact account holders by telephone and in writing when their account becomes past due.  Consequently, when your September 2015 payment was not made by the due date, the FSB made one attempt to reach you.  Our intent was to advise you of the status of your account, preserve your credit history, and offer our assistance.  A review of your account determined that our effort to contact you was appropriate, and your payment was applied to your account on October 14, 2015, bringing the account current.  We have confirmed that the FSB is accurately reporting your account to the applicable credit reporting bureaus.    Unfortunately, [redacted], of our staff, was unable to reach you by telephone to discuss the matter.  However, he remains available to assist you and can be reached at      [redacted] or [redacted], Extension [redacted].Thank you for allowing us to reply to you.  Sincerely,[redacted]Credit cards are issued by USAA Savings Bank and serviced by USAA Federal Savings Bank, both Member FDIC.

I am rejecting this response because:  consider it closed.  I will not close my Revdex.com complaint, I have not even put my review on Yelp, nor I have started telling my story to the military/veterans groups on Facebook.  I think it is time that vets, learned that just because a bait and switch company says they are pro veterans, that not everthing is as it appears.

unsuccessful in his attempts to speak with you regarding your credit card account; nonetheless, he conducted a thorough review of your concerns. Our records indicate that Mr. A[redacted] established an automatic payment plan (APP) on April 4, 2016, to pay the minimum payment on the credit card each month on the due date. He scheduled the APP on usaa.com. In so doing, he provided the applicable routing and account number to be debited. Although the APP was scheduled, separate payments received during the billing cycle reduced the minimum payment, hence reducing the APP amount. Since payments were manually posted to the account prior to the due dates, the APP payment option was never executed.
On November 14, 2017, the statement cycle closed with a minimum payment of $225.00 due by December 9, 2017. Because a manual payment did not post to the account by December 9, 2017, the funds were automatically drafted from your external account in accordance with the APP. It is important to note that a disclaimer was provided under the important messages section of the monthly statement. It indicated that $225.00 would be deducted from your funding account as a result of the APP.
Mrs. [redacted], it is important to know that the FSB adheres to all applicable banking regulations and to USAA’s core values of service, loyalty, honesty, and integrity, and your allegations of wrongdoing are unfounded. We are unable to honor your request for payment reversal or refund of interest incurred. Should you have any further questions, Mr. [redacted] remains available to assist you.

Revdex.com:  I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], I had to do all the work again and contact the collection agency and pay them back the money USAA took from them using my USAA credit card with my USAA credit which I found very ironic. This issue has been resolved.

Ms. [redacted] advised, USAA’s system will reject an incorrect routing number when an external payment account is added online or through the mobile app.  Ms. [redacted] confirmed that you added a valid routing number when you entered your account information; however, each time, the account number could not be verified.  As a result, USAA was unable to draft the external payment account, and returned payment fees were appropriately assessed to the Visa®.  Your most recent payment successfully posted on February 22, 2018.  Ms. [redacted] refunded the remaining returned payment fee as a courtesy.   We appreciate you allowing us to reply to you.   Sincerely, [redacted] Credit cards are issued by USAA Savings Bank and serviced by USAA Federal Savings Bank, both Member FDIC.
