Customers account has been terminated, please disregard any notice or mention of final bill No money is owed to Vector Security

Customer was under renewal terms of contract through 4/14/ Account was cancelled at that time If we would have cancelled the account back on 9/4/when customer cancelled they would have received a final bill for the remainder of the contract through 4/14/

I had a 2-year contract with his company, which is a home security companyWhen my contract expired I contacted them and let them know that I would not be renewing a contract as we were renting the house that we were living in and we were moving out They then told me that nothing further needed to be done Several weeks later, I received a bill for $from them, stating that I never stopped or canceled my service I was surprised by this as I only had a 2-year contract with them and they knew all along that we would be moving and discontinuing our service at the end of this time They told me that they could not discontinue our service and that I needed to sign a cancellation form for them to discontinue our service I signed the form and returned it to themSeveral weeks later, I received a bill for $saying that I had never discontinued my service I called them once again and they said that they never recieved the form and they were still billing me I told them that, as I previously signed the paper, had spoken to multiple individuals from their team over the past few weeks regarding discontinuing my service that I would not be interested in signing the form again and that I would like them to take me out of their system, deactivate the previous account and not contact/bill me any furtherSeveral days later, on 9/14/2015, they called my house phone (we had previously spoken only on my cellular phone), spoke to my wife and stated that if I didn't sign another form or pay them that they would refer the bill to a collection agency

Vector made a substantial investment with upgrading the customers panel with her signing a new year agreement for thisAs a business courtesy, Vector will reduce the final buyout from $2,to $1,

The check was scanned at the bank at $instead of $Mr [redacted] phone our office yesterday to let us know of the problemwe have already sent to our corporate office a credit and a check request for a refund less the $which is owed

We've done work for and had work done by Mr [redacted] on numerous occasions, he's been upfront, honest, and responsive in all of his dealings, both with us as customers and with his other customers it's a rare thing to see someone who treats his subcontractors and customers with the exact same courtesy and respect Usually from company's like this, you hear badmouthing of customers or taking sub's to the side to let them know the "real deal" but not with these guys The quality of their work is top notch, and they are conscientious of future technicians/service for the additions they put in which makes the projects a dream to work on If you want someone who knows the trade, knows all the right people, and the wherewithal to make sure that your home/addition doesn't become "that house" then you need look no further

This complaint was sent to the incorrect office Our Wilkes-Barre branch does not service this customer, as we have no customers in North Carolina.This account is handled at our National Dealer office at: [redacted] ***Fairfax, VA

Customer admitted they signed a year agreementContracts are used to protect both the customer and the company, regardless of what is said verbally at the time of saleVector's policy with regards to moving is, that if you sell your house and the new tenants take over the remaining terms you will be released from the agreementThis did not happen so the customer is held to the terms of the agreement and the remaining balance due on the contract

[A default letter is provided here which indicates your acceptance of the business's response If you wish, you may update it before sending it.] Better Business Bureau: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me Regards, [redacted] ***

It is clearly stated on line of the contract about the term of the agreement and the cancellation policy and procedures These policies are standard within the alarm business

We will cancel the account as the customer has requested in this complaint The only reason it has not been cancelled previously was due to us not receiving the written cancellation request as the customer had been advised in January and again yesterday

[redacted] 6:PM (hours ago) tome, [redacted] [redacted] ***, With regards to the [redacted] complaint, Customer signed a year agreement on 4/21/12, account was sold and installed by [redacted] , an Authorized Vector Dealer, at that time [redacted] conducted recorded QA calls, one with ** [redacted] and the other with ** [redacted] On both calls they both agreed to the terms of the agreement with no mention of cancelling if illness or death occurs Customer is also not selling the home where system is installed, ** [redacted] continues to live in the house We spoke with the son-in-law today on 7/2/and offered a 50% reduction in the final buyout of $1,with a final payment of $ Vector also offered a payment plan of payments of $ Customer stated they would consider offer With reviewing all information Vector is holding the customer to the terms of the agreement Regards, [redacted] [redacted] |Operations Manager, Dealer Division | VECTOR SECURITY | ###-###-#### X ***

We apologize for the inconvenience in getting service scheduled, Vector will issue a one month credit and will guarantee that someone will call the customer today to get service scheduled As for the renewal term, the contract states that the agreement will renew for successive one terms unless notified in writing days prior to the original agreement date

Customer signed year agreement back on 4/1/ That contract does state the renewal terms As a business courtesy and customer did exceed length of contract, Vector is releasing customer from any money owed Account has also been pulled from collection agency
