Contact has been made with Ms [redacted] today, Monday, January 11th Ms [redacted] acknowledged getting a voicemail message when it was left, last week, but is upset that the refund is being made to her via check versus her credit card She remains upset with The Greenville News' response to the Revdex.com, feeling that the matter is not resolved until the money is in her possession She declined to discuss the matter further To be clear, the refund that Ms [redacted] requested, $has been issued to her

A check in the amount of $was issued on 7/10/and sent to Ms [redacted] at [redacted] , SC That check has not been cashed so we have stopped payment on it and issued another check request in the amount of $266.07, which was the original payment amount, since Ms[redacted] had problems trying to discontinue her mother's newspaperThe check for $was made payable to Ms[redacted] but was mailed to Ms[redacted] address at [redacted] , SC

This customer had two accounts with The Greenville News, both of which are now cancelled Account # [redacted] was refunded $in addition to the already refunded $on this same account (total = $12) On account # [redacted] they were only charged $on 10/22/ A refund of $was made against this account on 10/25/ This should settle the matter satisfactorily, although we have not be able to reach the customer [redacted] @gannett.com [redacted] Co., Inc Site Director Consumer Solution Center Greenville, SC 864- [redacted]

At the time I received your satisfaction query I had not yet received the refund check from the Greenville News, so I waited to respond until after I received the check Revdex.com closed the complaint with the status “consumer remains dissatisfied.” Since then, I have received and deposited the check I have renewed my subscription, and am actually receiving the paper Even though I was unhappy with their behavior when I contacted them originally myself, I would like for then to see some results that encourage them to continue to respond positively to Revdex.com intervention Is it possible to update the complaint to show that I am currently satisfied?Thank you, [redacted]

Both accounts are inactive and the overdraft fees are being refunded to the credit card associated with each account

Mr*** ***, our distribution director, contacted Mr. *** to assure him that appropriate measures had been taken with the carrier and district manager to ensure that he would not have any problems with future requests Mr* *** offered him extended time on his subscription and also offered to personally take care of any future requests Mr*** informed Mr.*** that he wanted to stop receiving the newspaper and a stop order was processed

Due to production problems, on certain occasions, deliveries are made later than normal. *** ***, our Distribution
Manager, has addressed this situation with the contractor to assure proper deliveries are made and one month’s credit has been given to the customer.

A Greenville News customer service specialist has spoken with Mr*** confirming his claim that no deliveries had been made to his address and that he will receive a refund of $ He accepted our apologies and is satisfied
with this outcome

*** ***, our Local Sales Manager, removed *** *** address from our mailing list on 1/27/14. It is possible that a promotion letter was already in the mail stream when it was removed

Ms*** ***, our Local Sales Manager, contacted Mr. *** on Thursday, November 20th. Two refunds were processed today, $for the duplicate account that was set up in error and $for the additional month he was charged on his primary account after he requested the
subscription be stopped

This customer spoke with a
representative in our call center on 12/24/At that time a request was sent to The Greenville News accounting departrment to issue a refund for $ Our apologies are extended to Ms*** and we trust that she is now
happy with the settlement of her complaint

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID***, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.
The wording is very weird. If "the customer will not be charged for the late papers" is not the "default" position, then the "default" position must be that customers are charged for papers regardless of when they are delivered. Just sounds like a lot of 'word smithing' to avoid addressing a situation directly. Please let the situation "die". Thanks,

It's very likely that the letter was in the mail stream. However it has been my experience that this request to The Greenville News will go unnoticed. As I mentioned before in the complaint, I have contacted the company in the past on multiple occasions only to keep receiving requests to take the paper.
