This letter Is in reference to the above person's complaint. To start out with, both the movers were experienced movers, it was just one of them wasinexperienced with the paperwork, as we did some changes to the paperwork.I am not sure who the [redacted] talked to when they booked the job, but the...

quote they weregiven was a phone quote only and there was no written estimates done. They would have been toldthat the charge would include travel time from the time the truck leaves the warehouse until the truckreturns to the warehouse. After talking with Ms. [redacted] on the charges plus talking with the men, we felt that the chargeswere correct. The crew said they had a lot more items there were on the job sheet which what we weretold when they booked plus confirmed the day before their move. After talking with Ms. [redacted]. We did credit her for $144.00 for the few scuffs on her furnitureand for the time the guys took a lunch. As far as how we load and unload a truck, yes boxes come off first because they are on top ofthe big furniture. We are sorry that she felt that the job took longer than anticipated. As far as us not listening to her that Is totally false. We listened and that is why she wasrefunded the money. I also need to state that If they were packed and ready, then it would have savedthem time as It is easier to load a truck when everything is packed and ready than when you have tomove Items around unpacked items. At this point we feel that the $144.00 we refunded them was out of good faith in our part andthat is as far as we are willing to go.Any questions please do not hesitate to give me a call.Yours truly,Becker Movers

This letter is in reference to the above person's complaint.During the move an accident did occur and a piece broke off her washing machine. We went to [redacted] toget the part and they did not have It in stock so they had to order It and that is why it would not be fixeduntil 2/22/17. We have since...

dropped the piece off to her and called her numerous times to see if sheneeded assistance to get the piece put on the machine but has never returned our calls. As far as her comment about It taken to long, we dispute her claim as the manager that went out to herhouse after loading saw how full the truck was and agreed that the times would be right. They do talkto each other as a form of communication. We feel we completed our commitment by repladng thebroken piece which seemed to be her biggest concern. We are sorry about the problem and hope this matter is settled.Any questions you or Ms. [redacted] have can contact our office.Yours truly,Becker Movers

This letter is in reference to the above customer. To start off with, yes there was a mirror broken on this job. The item was wrapped and tieddown properly but the strap broke.we immediately sent out a claim form to the person as soon as we learned of the damage. Wetold her to fill it out and send it...

back to us.Upon receiving her claim form back we reviewed her moving contract that was signed by her onmoving day. In her writing she signed for $.30/lb. per article and that is how we settled her claim. Wehave sent her out a check for that amount and it was cashed by the customer. On this claim I also went one step further and looked at the signed part of the contract, whichstates if she took out extra insurance how we would have paid her. Because of the age of the piece andthrough depreciation (which is stated on the signed sheet) she would have been in the same situation. We are sorry that because of an accident happened she thinks the men were unprofessional butI assure you that they are very professional. They try there hardest to do the best job possible.Again, we are sorry for any problems and out of Good Faith we are reimbursing her for anadditional $100.00 towards her claim.Any questions please do not hesitate to call me.Thank you,Ron W[redacted]Becker Movers

Revdex.com spoke to Brooke at business and the following was relayed: We are working with the customer. We were scheduled to go to the customer's yesterday to see the damage but the customer cancelled. We are waiting for the customer to call back and reschedule.

I have reviewed the...

response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.  I will not refer this company to anyone. They took 4 months to resolve the issue and only after my complaint to the Revdex.com. Also, they did not have the guts to speak with me. They sent a check and a letter in the mail.
Regards,

This letter is in reference to the letter you wrote to the Revdex.com. Yes you were quoted $2300.00 - $2800.00 for your move. Also on your estimate sheet it also says that this is only an estimate and you still will be charged for the exact charges. Also on your contract signed on moving...

day we are not responsible for damaged items packed by the owner. Out of good faith we are sending you a check for $300.00 for the misunderstanding of your move cost and any damages.Any questions please do not hesitate to give me a call. We also want to wish you well in your new home and also want to wish you happy holidays. Yours truly, Ron W. Becker Movers

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
The reason I had to file a police report was that Ron at Becker Movers advised me to contact my homeowners ins to make a claim.  When I did this, my homeowners ins company told me I had to file a police report. But my homeowners ins will only cover the missing items and not the items that were damaged.  BUT I found out after we filed the police report that I would have to pay my deductible then get money for the missing items.  Again, I am paying out. This is issue is not resolved.  How can we feel this is resolved when we have lost so much????

We would like to mark that complaint as accepted the business proposal. They are mailing us a check for refund.

This letter is in reference to the complaint by the above customer. On January 18, 2016 we had a crew go over to her residence to do her move. After arriving toher residence the crew called the office and said that she was not packed or ready to be moved. Theydid get started and we also sent 2 more...

men (packers) to help them. None ofthem remember hersaying anything about a storage area.During her move we called her daughter to let her know what was going on and it would costmore, since she was paying for the move. She told us she could not go over to her mother's but she toldus to do the best we could and if we could not get it all she would call us back. After loading, the customer initialed a sheet of ours stating that she thoroughly inspected herresidence and agreed that all the items she needed shipped were put on the truck (copy enclosed). She did call us back to move the file cabinet only on January 28, 2016, from the same address tothe same location and again never mentioned anything about a storage. And to be honest when we received this complaint it was the first time the office had anyknowledge about a storage.we feel this is not our responsibility, but if the place she moved out of did not try to notify herof the storage left behind then they are the ones who threw it out then they are the ones responsible.office.We are sorry for the problem and if anyone has any questions please do not hesitate to call ourYours truly,Becker Movers

This letter is in reference to the complaint put in by Ms. [redacted] in regards to her move. We have sent her a letter with a check (letter enclosed) to settle her claim. If there any additional questions please do not hesitate to call our office. Yours truly, Ron W. Becker Movers

Again because of a police report made by the above claimant, we have been advised not to comment on the above matter, other than to say that the above person's claim has been settled by the liability she had signed for on moving day.

This letter is in reference to the complaint we received from you about the above person. To start out with we did in fact move the above person into our storage on December 10, 2016and moved her out on Apri114, 2017.Shortly after her moving in she called our office about some missing screws and...

brackets. Welooked and found none. We told her this and we would send her out a claim form for these items. On May 15, 2017 we received a claim form for 10 items that we knew nothing about except fortwo items for missing hardware. On June 2, 2017 we sent a representative out to the home to look at the claimed items. Heresponded to say that there were some scratches on her items and that everything was put togetherexcept for the 4 screws to the leg of the pinball machine. At no point from her move out of our warehouse on 4/14/17 untii7/S/17 was there anymention of missing items other than screws and brackets to the items they took apart. After reviewing the contract that she signed on moving day, which was $.30/lb. per article forliability we found it easier to pay her according to the contract she signed rather than argue with thecustomer. We also told her that for storage we only have the basic coverage of $.30/lb. per article becausemost home owner's insurance company's cover the items when in storage. Why would you doubleinsure anything as you cannot collect twice for the same claim? We are sorry that Ms. [redacted] was unhappy with our settlement but we felt that it was a fairsettlement. If anyone has any further questions please do not hesitate to contact us.Yours truly,Becker Movers

On 8/11/15 we met with the customer and have resolved the complaint. If you have any questions please do not hesitate to call our office. Thank you, Becker Movers

ID# [redacted]To Whom This May Concern:This letter is in reference to the above complaint. On March 13, 2017 Mr. [redacted] called about damages done during his move which was done on March 4, 2017. At that time our office sent him out a claim form to fill out to the best of his ability. After receiving Mr....

[redacted]'s claim form (copy enclosed) we sent a representative out to look at his claim. Our representative saw no physical damage to the television and a small ding on the side of the refrigerator. He was not shown anything else nor was anything else put on the claim form.On moving day the [redacted]'s signed for the basic liability of $.30/lb. per article for any damage done to their goods (copy enclosed). Our contract also states that we do not cover internal parts unless dropped by the mover.Rather than to dispute their claim, we paid for both items claimed at the basic liability of $.30/lb. per article (copy enclosed). We also gave each piece extra poundage so the re would be no discrepancy about that.As far as the estimate and actual cost, the estimate was for $1100.00 to start with. We had more difficulty in getting his furniture out of his old house and into his new house. More disassembly and reassembly was needed. The customer knew this was only an estimate and they were being charged on an hourly basis. We are sorry for any problems this may have caused the [redacted]'s but at this point we feel that the amount of money we sent to the [redacted]'s was more than fair.If anyone has any questions on this please do not hesitate to call me.Yours truly,Becker Movers

[redacted]To Whom It May Concern:This letter is in reference to the above person's complaint. We would first of all apologize for the time it took to get back to you on this maters. We received your letter before we received the claimants claim form and to be notified that she had...

puta stop payment for the services we performed. Please find attached the letter we sent to the claimant in regard to her claim for her move.Any questions please feel free to contact our office.Yours truly,Becker Movers

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.Their claims are 100% incorrect. I did not remember where I bought the mattress, later recalling that I had purchased it online - not at a local store and therefore do not have any warranty. Becker Mover’s attempts to contact [redacted] or their “buddy” who has a bed they can get for me were solely to remove them from being on the hook for THEIR mistake! They refuse to take any responsibility. Additionally, the manager Brett, along with Becker Movers AND the moving guys themselves saw the mattress in person and were sent detailed photographs of the damage (which was NOT exclusive to the massive lump! The movers had pulled all the stitching on the pillow top up when wrenching it around to move it rather than utilize the handles on the sides (as had been done both times it was successfully moved in the past). Additionally, those photos went to 3 local mattress stores AND 4 furniture repair places in an attempt to get it fixed; all of whom said (confirmed) it was not repairable. All of this was communicated in documented and recorded messages to Becker Movers. I attempted to call Becker Movers 7 times between the day of my move and finally buying myself a new mattress. I was never able to get to the person who manages claims because he was always and consistently out of the office. Each time I left a message, all of which were ignored. Two weeks after I had to buy myself a new bed, I FINALLY got a callback from Becker Movers, who at this point knew I had gotten a new bed and got rid of the old one, and it wasn’t until THEN that they decided they needed to see it again in person to approve the claim, which is utter garbage!! Unfortunately for them, there are 4 other (women) who have experienced the EXACT same treatment (damage to items, mistreatment of cliam and unsupported denial) who support that Becker Movers systematically mistreats, cheats and scams it’s female customers. They shouldn’t be operating as a business. As for me, I’ll be taking them to court. I have recorded messages (that they hung up on me multiple times when I’ve said I’m recording them. Now I know why. They didn’t want proof of their scam and lies!! Too bad, I’ve got it!) [To assist us in bringing this matter to a close, we would like to know your view on the matter.]Regards,[redacted]

This letter is in reference to the above person's complaint for her move to Florida.First of all we are agents for [redacted] Van Lines, which means that when a person like Ms[redacted] moves over state lines, then she is moving under the authority of [redacted] Van Lines, notBecker Movers. On the day of the...

estimate she was explained that and also given literature on that also.I did contact [redacted] Van Lines on her claim. To start out she did sign for replacement liabilitybut she also initialed for the $500.00 deductible and paid a smaller amount because of this.Again, reviewing the claim form and reviewing the amount of money that [redacted] Van Lines iswilling to pay her I think she should take it as I think it is very fair. I think it is fair because a lot of herdamages are boxed items which are not covered because they are packed by the customer not themover. I know people like Ms. [redacted] will say that the box is crushed but a lot of the times it is becausethey are not filled and they crush due to open space or they do not use a heavy enough box to startwith.I know she is trying to blame Becker Movers and wants free storage but on the same note she issaying that the truck that delivered her items was packed poorly. That is [redacted] and [redacted]'sdriver's responsibility not ours.We are sorry for any damage that occurred to the goods but again she signed a [redacted] VanLines Bill of Laden and paid [redacted] Van Lines for the move so she has to settle with them.As far as her items coming into storage she could not be more wrong. We inventoried andcarefully wrapped her items and when they left here the [redacted] Van Lines driver loaded his own truckand he did not note any damages from our warehouse to his truck so because of that, the request for arefund for that is out of the question.Again, we do apologize for any problems that may have occurred during the move and I willhappily discuss this with Ms. [redacted] or anyone else.Any questions please do not hesitate to contact me.Yours trulyRon [redacted]Becker Movers

This letter is in reference to the above complaint. As per the letter from the customer (copy enclosed), some reason she did not receive our call back messages or claim form. Because of this she contacted you but now has rescinded. We have since resolved this matter. Any questions please feel free...

to contact our office. Yours truly, Becker Movers

This letter is in the reference to the response letter the above claimant made in reference to his move.To start off with he was paid for the two items that were on his claim form, by the liability he signed for on moving day. Also as far as the estimate he did not sign the estimate as he claims and also it was not a not to exceed estimate (copy enclosed). If you read the estimate which he received before his move it even states the conditions of the estimate. As far as the liability we cannot take responsibility for a person not reading what they sign. And finally I am not going to lower myself to match comments made by Mr. King. I can only tell you that he is wrong in many things that he says. Our guys are full time and they are professionals. This is just like any job and that accidents do happen and that we are very sorry for that. Our percent of claims is well below the National Average.Regards,Becker Movers

We did talk with the daughter about the move and cost. We have made the agreed adjustment to this job with the customer and the problem is solved. Any questions you may contact us anytime.
