Terrible Customer Service & EXTREME SMELLING BAGS.
I purchased a set of hard saddle bags and when they arrived the had a strong chemical smell. I figured that they had been closed up for a while and just need to air out. I let them air for over a month after going through the process of mounting them on the bike. The smell has not gone away and if your touch the inside of the bags you will end up smelling like gasoline. The bags are usable since anything that goes in comes out smelling like gasoline. I called and asked and asked for some help and they said that I can send them back and "if they agree" then they will send me new bags. The issue with that is that they are making me send them the bags that I have already gone through the process drilling and getting them mounted perfectly to the bike. I am sending them my template and having to start over again. Not to mention being without the bike if then even send me new ones. They need to stand by their product and send me new ones and then I would return the ones that smell.

Hello,
My name is ***. I made an on the phone purchase of saddlebags for $261.98 on May 8th. I was informed they would ship the next business day. My credit card was charged $261.98 on May 8th. On May 17th the product still had arrived. I start calling, emailing and online chat to inquire as to the status. No call was retuned, no email was responded to and no response to the online chat box on their website. I finally reached a person on May 21st. The customer care informed me that they show a delivery of May 14th to my front door. I explained the shipping address is my place of work . A working cultivation farm completely fenced in and we do not have a front door. Vikings customer service was unwilling to do anything about it. They said I would have to take it up with ***.

I reviewed the video cameras for the entire day of May 14th . NO *** delivery was made that to my location. I contacted United Parcel service and they confirm a delivery on May 14th at 2:33 pm. I reviewed the video cameras for the entire day of May 14th . NO *** delivery was made that to my location. *** then stated they needed the Shipper to contact them to move forward. I called Viking bags again and explained that they needed to call ***. They refused to do so.

To date :
• I have been charged for merchandise I have never received.
• I was rudely treated by Omar and Juan in customer service who refused to do any of the following:
o Refund my money
o Send me the merchandise they charged me for
o Contact *** to find the missing items

I ask your assistance in helping to resolve this matter.

Sincerely

I am a wholesale dealer in San Diego, CA. I called to open a dealer account with the company today. I had the most unfortunate encounter with a representative named Julio. He is perhaps the worst customer service person I have ever talked to. After ignoring my request, he hung up the phone on me. His boss (Omar) is telling me even though I have a resale tax certificate which I sent to him, because I don't have a retail shop, I would not be approved.

I am glad I found out about this incredibly unprofessional company without having to do any business with them. I will do my best for others to know what a horrible customer service this company has. I asked for the name of the owner/founder, but Omar told me that information is not available.

People should be warned about this company and I am doing my best.

HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE

The bags lost some screws and a plate the very first time they were used! The company stated they do not warranty items not purchased directly from them! Why is that not disclosed before selling their products to other retailers!!

I purchased a set of bags, what I had thought was leather wrapped was actually painted. I tried to exchange them but it was my mistake so they would not exchange. Even thought the picture with the leather wrapped bag clearly shows the number, *** for the painted bags. Being my mistake I was keeping them. When I went to install the bags they weren't even the Lamar XL bags I mistakenly ordered. After a process and proving that they were wrong with pictures showing measurements, they were 11 and 21 should have been 13 and 24, and then convincing them to pay for return shipping they agreed to change the bags. Now they get the bags back and claim they are not in new condition! Julio had me send pictures showing the bags had no holes in them from drilling. Viking bags claim they arrived damaged, scratched. They were not when shipped. I cant control what happened after I gave them to UPS. Now they want me to send a shipping label to return the bags that are not for my bike or forfeit them to be disposed of. ARE YOU KIDDING? What kind of customer service is this?!
All I want it what I paid for. They agreed they send the wrong product and agreed to replace with the correct item I originally wanted. They claim the bags are damaged. They are not. The picture they sent of the damage is blurry and they should have insured the package as it was their return label.

+1

I placed an order with this company yesterday then requested a cancellation. I tried via both email and phone to request this. The phone number continuously went to voicemail, I tried calling multiple times and finally left a voicemail. The email I sent to the support team came back a day later with an error message. Long enough that the item already shipped. I only got excuses from the cs lead Omar.

I bought some Viking Bags for my motorcycle on 4/2/19. Bag lid locking system is poorly designed and constructed. I have left multiple messages at their customer support line regarding some fitment issues, with no response at all from them. Plan to return them and I am bracing for pushback from them.

Received the product for an Indian Scout. During installation the bolts broke (2) inside the fender chassis. Found out that they sent standard bolt size instead of metric. Spoke with customer service and they stated they are not responsible and that I should read fine print, and should have checked the bolts size before install. They did offer to send new metric bolts but the damage had already been done. The bags do seem good quality though and yes I’ll still install them but going to have to pay out of pocket to get broken screws out. My motorcycle cannot be used while fender is loose. Just beware and don’t go through what I went through. Check your bolt size.

My fiance tried to buy some saddle bags for my motorcycle for christmad. They sent the wrong ones we had to pay for shopping back for the exchange. They sent us the identical bags back with a different number on them. Still the wrong ones. He asked for a refund and they will not refund us shipping back. We will have spent $86 on shipping back because they did not send the right thing or maybe they are advertising wrong on the web sight but what they sent does not have the cut out for my shock like it displays on the website. We want a full refund to include the shipping since it isnt they we just decided we dont like them... they are wrong!!

I returned all merchandise because it didn’t fit my motorcycle and they refuse to refund me. I have ups confirmation that the return was received as well as detailed email instructions as to how to file the return which I followed to the letter. The website said these bags would fit my bike but they don’t.

I reported the issue of the relocation kit causing damage to my rear fender of my Harley. They started responding, then did not respond to any further emails, phone calls or complaints. I asked that they replace or refund me for the defective part, so that I can go to a vendor that will support me.

Bought these for the purpose of throw over bags since there are no OEM locks on them. The pictures and throw over instructions show the correct brackets. However when I received my bags there were no brackets. After calling support for three days I called sales who answered. They informed me the brackets have changed and they no longer offer the throw over option because of security. Using the new brackets would require me to move my turn signals from the OEM position. Even though these bags have no locks that’s their answer. I can’t get the old brackets. The only option is to return them have them go on their “inspection” and five to seven business days get my money back.

Nice looking bags but terrible quality. The locks on both bags do not work: One lock doesn't function at all, the other you just have to pus inwards a bit to unlatch it. There is zero security.

The bags are designed poorly so the top flap doesn't open properly because it hits the fender behind it. You have to force it open to put things inside. This will probably wear it out eventually.

This place is a scam outfit. Their reps tell you on the phone that the product will your fit bike. When it doesn't, you have to pay to ship the product back to them AND they take the original shipping off your refund. For a 100.00 order they screwed me for about half of it.

I received a defective bag and was missing rubber plugs. They refuse to do anything about it. Have contacted them several times and still nothing done. Once they get your money, they are done with you.

Essentially I purchased a pair of saddlebags from said company on 20 June 2018 they were shipped. The product did not fit my bike which wasn't the end of the world things happen especially when trying to buy parts or accessories for Harley's. I tried contacting Viking bags through phone, email, and the live chat on their website multiple times. I left voicemails stating my name, email, product that the phone call was regarding, etc. imploring the company to call me back with instructions on how to return or possibly exchange the item. WEEKS had gone by and to no avail I hadn't heard from anyone. I called on August the 8th, 2018 and I finally got through to a human on the other end of the line not just a voicemail. I had stated to the man on the phone everything I just wrote in the about complaint and he cordially and politely gave me the instructions I needed to follow in order to return the bags. That same day I sent in the return form and received a message after stating I would hear back from them in one to two business days. I never heard back from them so NOW on August the 15th I called and spoke to another representative. He informed me that because I was past the thirty day mark for returns there was nothing they could do about it. I asked to speak to his supervisor where he then informed me he was the supervisor and I asked him if there was anything he could do for me, he said no. The whole issue is the company made minimum to zero efforts reaching back out to me when all I wanted to figure out was how the hell to send my bags back and possibly get more. He was rude, brash, and really just a waste of my time and money at this point.

Purchased 2 Solo Bags, advertised as leather. They are ALL plastic and naugahyde ,NO LEATHER. The swing arm bag #17006 advertised hard mount, When received there was some hardware ,including plates and brackets, but no instructions. After contacts by their chat room ,each time I was told to use the provided nylon straps,Even when I explained that they had sent mounting hardware, and I mearly wished an instruction sheet , I was told to use the straps.Today I looked at their site to find these bags STILL advertised as "leather". The smaller bag had the actual mounting bolt too large ...3/8"...takes 5/16". Drove to hardware store to purchase the correct hardware on my dime.

I purchased a set of saddlebags in June advertised to specifically fit my motorcycle ***, along with hardware to mount it and a "universal tail light relocating kit". The saddlebag instructions required that holes be drilled to mount them, voiding the return policy. The saddlebags sit out so far from the motorcycle (about 2") due to the provided spacers that the weight of the saddlebags vibrated the mounting hardware loose three separate times. I tried locking nuts, loctite, and locking washers on each of these occasions. The final straw was when it vibrated loose while I was riding it, causing damage to my motorcycle's drive gear and risking my own safety. I requested a refund, but was told they only covered manufacturer defects to the bags themselves, not the hardware they sold me.

1. Hardware included with bags does not fit bike or much it it was installed on bags already stripped.
2. Purchased and installed my own hardware from local hardware store
3. One bolt broke while riding. Replaced them all with Grade 12.9 bolts from Fastenal. Still 2 have broken of these. In the process, also lost 2 important Kawasaki collar and o-rings from from bike and one of Viking Bags provided hex bolts.
4. Have requested Viking provide courtesy replacement for 2 hex bolts valued at $14 total.
5. They referred me to their website, at which these items were out of stock.
6. Further discussions with them told me that I did not buy the bags from them so they owe me nothing.
7. In fact, I bought them from MotorcycleHouse.com which sells other items besides Viking Bags but shares the same website chat and lists the same Brea, CA address on both web sites.

Bottom line:
1. I have only asked for $14 of hardware when I have over $50 in hardware and labor costs due to their faulty hardware
2. Their customer service is insulting and I find their practice deceptive
3. I have been very polite in all my correspondance
4. Online searches show I am not the only person to run into these issues. Other complaints and their lack of response on Viking bags part seem to corroborate what poor service they offer.
5. Perhaps most importantly, I have not been injured in these incidents, but only by nothing short of a miracle. The potential is there.

I bought some motorcycle saddle bags for an 08 Yamaha 650 V-star custom. The bags came with a rear turn signal relocation kit. The kit receive was not the one in their picture of the bags on a Yamaha vstar. It was a universal one that had instructions for a Harley Davidson, not Yamaha. The one in the picture was chrome and the pone sent was black. It did not fit per their installation video (Which also was wrong) and one of the bags were missing the rubber plugs to fill pre-existing mounting holes. I contacted them via email and receive a response that Andy would be contacting me in one or two business days. Three days later I contacted them again and was told via email that Andy would be contacting me and I had to drill extra holes in it to mount to my bike (My bike was down five days waiting on them to resolve my issue) Once I mounted the bags I noticed a MFG defect in one of them where a rivet that was supposed to go all the way through from the bottom of the bag to the inner shell did not make it through the inner shell causing a hump in the bottom of the bag. They finally replied and said to send them a picture and they would see what the best they could do for me. They replied again and said the hump was not "that" noticeable and if I had not mounted them they would send me more. I replied that they were already mounted and the I could send them back and they could plug the holes "that" they wouldn't be that noticeable. Still no rubber plugs and no resolution to the MFG defect. They have very very poor customer service and made no reasonable offer to resolve this issue. I have not heard back from them in a week. So they pretty much just took my money and blew me off.
