Wall & Associates Reviews (179)

Revdex.com: I have reviewed the offer and/or response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below [Provide details of why you are not satisfied with this resolution.] Regards, [redacted] I started doing business with Wall in This started with a phone consultation and me giving a $*** down payment to some lawyer here in [redacted] that I've never spoken to sinceThey guaranteed my a resolution to my tax issues within months...its now 2017! During this period I mailed them copies of my financial statements and bills more than onceIve had to deal with multiple people over the course of this timeeach one asking for the same info over again..I called to complain multiple times always getting the same answer"some one will call you back" or they are out to lunchAfter dealing with the frustration for two years I stopped payment and refused to return their callsEach time I did talk to them the subject was when was I going to send another paymentNever that they got a resolutionNow im out of thousands of dollars and still have the same problem I started with..I will say that Atlas (their tax preparers)did prepare my tax paper half way right...some of my returns(years and 2013) were rejected by the IRS and sent back to me because walls sent them a photo copy instead of my original signature which caused those returns to be rejectedI had to send her the same information multiple times of which she never used much of itThis disreputable business should be shut down and never allowed to take advantage of consumers again.!! I was told once when I called that they went through a personnel change because of people not doing their job but they still wanted that $*** a month fee knowing that peoples cases were not being taken care of..Many times they had no idea idea who you were or anything about your caseAll in all this a terrible company!!! This is one of the worst choices ive ever made in my life!!

Absolutely a horrible experience with this companyIn one year, took over $and accomplished nothingExamples: First correspondence used the wrong nameTook over months to get IRS to accept Power of Attorney and RepresentationTook months before they admitted that they did not have all the financial info they neededMailing forms instead of emailing themComplete incompetenceAvoid this companyIt is a scam!!

[redacted] We are writing in timely response to the additional comments received for the abovereferenced complaintMr [redacted] additional comments come as a surprise to us as we hadpreviously worked with Mr [redacted] directly regarding fee consideration and he stated hissatisfaction with our offerHe had requested to speak to only one caseworker on his teamand we were glad to accommodate that requestIn addition, we had previously capped hismonthly fees, meaning no further monthly fees would be required for his caseBy workingout this agreement with him, we assumed that all of his concerns were addressed and Mr[redacted] was acceptable with our company completing the work with the IRS to resolve his taxliability. We apologize if our previous response conveyed to Mr [redacted] that his case wasresolvedAs the response indicated, we are actively working on Mr [redacted] resolution andcomplying with all IRS deadlines given as we are currently in the negotiation stages for theresolution of his tax liabilityWe understand the frustration Mr [redacted] is having with theprocessing of his case and the timeframeWe are doing all things necessary in order toexpeditiously resolve Mr***’s matter and will continue to negotiate with the IRS toresolve the tax liabilityOur previous response indicated to Mr [redacted] that the Offer in Compromise was stillopen and pending with the IRS, and that the IRS had set a deadline of March 30, toprovide additional documentation for the continued review and consideration of theOfferAs of April 16, 2015, the IRS Offer in Compromise is now closedDuring aconversation with Mr [redacted] on February 24, 2015, he expressed that he did not want topursue the IRS Offer in Compromise, as he did not want his tax refund to be taken andapplied to his tax debtPer Mr [redacted] request, we did not comply with the IRS deadline ofMarch 30, 2015, therefore, the Offer was closed.Furthermore, we also advised Mr [redacted] that we were also working to have the debtremoved totally through an insolvency process with IRSWe submitted IRS Form 982Reduction of Tax Attributes Due to Discharge of Indebtedness for tax year to the IRS.As of April 16, 2015, the IRS underreporting unit has received the form and is currentlyreviewing our requestOur office is continuing to follow up regarding the processing andacceptance of this form.In regards to Mr [redacted] comments regarding the Extension filed by our office.Mr [redacted] notified our office on March 12, that he was not going to complete the return until his case is resolvedWe notified him that in order to stay in compliancewith IRS filing requirements, an extension would need to be filedOur office then had anextension filed for the on Mr [redacted] behalf through [redacted] Webelieved this to be necessary to his case, and it does not hamper his filing of the return inanyway in the futureIt only grants him a month extension to file that tax return withoutincurring late filing penalties. We will be glad to discuss options for Mr [redacted] case that he feels is best for him.We would like to continue the work on his tax matter that we began so that we can close theissue for himIn conjunction, we are willing to also discuss a possible refund to Mr***(while still continuing work on his case) so that we can resolve this matterIt would befaster and easier to work out a refund directly with Mr [redacted] if he would like to call ouroffice in order to do soAlso, if he does not wish for our office to continue any work at allon his case, we will abide by that request as wellWe hope to rectify this matter with Mr[redacted] and resolve his concerns. If you require any further information, please contact our officeThank you for yourtime and assistance with this matter

Dear Ms***,We are writing in response to the recent complaint filed against our company regarding thefees paid and services rendered to Ms [redacted] A***Ms [redacted] sought out and hired our servicesin September of for administrative tax representation. In Ms***'s complaint she is requesting a refund, minus any fees, that our company mayhave earned for services rendered and is requesting an itemized listing of each charge that has beenbilled to herDue to the sometimes complex nature of tax resolution, and the inherent uncertaintiesin rendering services to clients, our firm operates on an initial fee I monthly fee based structure inlieu of itemized billingWe sincerely regret that due to this policy our company does not keep anitemized listing of chargesOur company is, however, committed to fair and honest billing whichis why we clearly lay out all of these policies prior to an agreement to represent a client before anytaxing authoritiesAs a matter of policy, we strictly require that all clients sign this agreement inorder to make sure they have been made aware of these terms and to prevent any unnecessarygrievances from occurring. In response to Ms***'s request for a refund, we clearly explain to each client that anextraordinary amount of work is required in the initial phases of a caseThis is part of the reasonwe charge a reasonable initial fee to begin a caseMs [redacted] herself believed that she would havea tax issue of around $12,840, and our office took the necessary steps to resolve a case with sucha balanceWhile we are pleased to hear that Ms***'s actual tax liability turned out to be muchless than she anticipated, our office had already completed a substantial amount of work inpreparing to resolve her anticipated liabilityWhile we would like to offer some form of refund, our office is unable to do so due to the amount of work completed on her caseWhile our office cannot provide Ms [redacted] with ail itemized list of charges, we do keepdetailed records of all work associated with an individual caseWe have summarized the workcompleted on her case and genuinely hope that this will satisfy her request.Ms [redacted] first contacted our office on September 16, She was unsure of theamount she owed, and stated that she had not filed her taxes, and had questionsShe requestedto meet with one of our associates, and a meeting was scheduled for September 26, 2015, in ourNew York office, with our associate, [redacted] They discussed her tax issue, and shecontracted us that day to assist her with her IRS, state of New York, and local tax issues. On October 5, 2015, Ms***'s case was assigned to a case teamWe immediately filedpower of Attorney forms with the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) to notify them of ourrepresentationWe contacted Ms [redacted] that day to verify the information we received with thecase, to provide our contact information, and to obtain background information regarding her taxmatter, but had to leave a messageAn introductory letter was then mailed to her that introducedher case team, and requested specific financial documents in order to begin evaluating possibleresolutions regarding her tax matterWe spoke with her at length on October 6, 2015, anddiscussed the details of her tax liabilityShe explained that she had been issued a 1099-C forapproximately $12,800, due to a debt with ***We explained that we would look into whethershe would have to claim this as income on her tax returnAfter determining how she shouldfile, and what her eventual balances would be, we would then establish a plan for resolving hercaseWe scheduled a conference call with Ms [redacted] for October 22, 2015, at 10:a.mWefollowed our call by sending her an email with our office contact information, and a copy of theinitial letter we had mailed to her.On October 7, 2015, we performed a thorough review of the information we had receivedwith Ms***'s caseWe researched the applicable IRS statutes pertaining to her situation, anddetermined that she would need to include the 1099-C in her filing, but should have her taxpreparer complete IRS Form 982, Reduction of Tax Attributes, to determine whether the 1099-Cshould in fact be viewed as incomeWe called Ms [redacted] that day to discuss our findings, andadvise her on how to proceedWe explained how she should file her return, and she statedher intentions to dispute the debt with ***, as well as file a complaint with the New YorkDepartment of Finance regarding this issue, as she felt that their actions were unfairWe explainedthat we would research her case and determine whether we could assist her with this process, andassured her that we would assist with any potential balances resulting from her tax filingWe alsoasked that she forward a copy of her tax return to our office once it was completedWe sentan email to Ms [redacted] following our call.We received an email from Ms [redacted] on October 9, 2015, in which she informed us thatshe was no longer in need of our servicesShe stated that she had filed her return, and thather total balance due was approximately $2,She felt that her balance was not substantialenough to warrant our assistance, and requested a refund of the initial $fee she had paidWe immediately contacted Ms [redacted] and explained the substantial work that had already beenperformed on her case, and assured her that there were still_ resolution options available for her taxmatter, and that we would like to continue to assist herShe again stated her desire to terminateour contract and obtain a refund of the fees she had paid,' and we explained that a member of ourClient Services Group would contact her to discuss her request. Our Client Services Group spoke with Ms: [redacted] on October 9, 2015, and discussed herrequest to terminate our contractAs she had also contracted us for her state and local taxes, weasked what her liability would be for those taxing entitiesShe stated that the balances would beminimal, and requested a refund of a portion of her initial feeOur Client Services Group thenperformed an internal review of [redacted] verified that she had noadditional outstanding IRS balances, and that her tax return had been received, and wasprocessingAs we did not yet have New York Power of Attorney forms uu file, anti were unsurewhich locality Ms [redacted] might owe tax to, we were unable to verify those balancesOur ClientServices Group followed up with Ms [redacted] on October 15, 2015, and discussed the work that hadbeen completed on her case since we had received itWe also explained how we could continueto assist her with her tax issues; however, she declined our offer of further assistanceWe explainedthat, as a substantial amount of work had been completed on her case in a short lime, a refundcould not be grantedShe then requested an itemized hourly billing statement, and we explainedthat our services are billed monthly, not hourly, but that we could provide her with a writtensummary of her caseWe reiterated our desire to assist her with her tax matters, but she againdeclined. If you require any further information, please contact our officeThank you for your timeand assistance with this matter

Dear Ms***, We are writing in timely response to the additional comments received for the aforementioned complaint on September 16, (copy [redacted] )We are sorry to hear that our previous response did not resolve Mr [redacted] ’s concerns regarding the work performed on this caseMr [redacted] ’s most recent complaint comments state that he had “no positive results”Mr [redacted] has not allowed our company time or opportunity to seek positive resultsUpon Mr [redacted] becoming a client, he requested that we argue against the previous Audit as he had proof of the expenses disallowedIn order to proceed with his request, an Audit Reconsideration was submitted to the IRSWe corresponded with the IRS and provided them with all of the additional documentation to support the Schedule E and the Passive Activity Loss which was denied by the AuditorWith the documentation provided it is unfortunate the IRS sustained their denial as Mr [redacted] did not qualify for those deductions claimed due to the IRS policiesTherefore, our office began planning to proceed with a resolution to resolve the liability, as there were no grounds for the audit to be reversedThere are options to resolve Mr [redacted] ’s liability which would produce “positive results”Had our office had the opportunity to explore these options, Mr [redacted] would more than likely find himself at a different opinion of our servicesAgain, we are clearly stating that we did not file a petition in the US Tax Court on Mr [redacted] ’s behalf because our staff are not attorneys and Wall & Associates, Incis not a law firmMr [redacted] knew this when he hired usThere were and are other options to resolve the tax matter other than the US Tax Court which can be a very lengthy and expensive processAgain, we understand Mr [redacted] ’s frustrations on this matterWe worked as quickly as possible to resolve this matterOur office proceeded with Mr [redacted] ’s case accurately and correctly Contrary to Mr [redacted] ’s slanderous statements, we are tax professionals and take our work seriouslyOur staff go through regular and intensive continued education and trainingMr [redacted] ’s statement of how we should describe our business is only his unfounded opinion which has no business being part of a formal complaint with the Revdex.comIn order to resolve this complaint and end the matter, we are willing to offer Mr [redacted] a refund of $We make this offer not as an admission of liability to the client, but only to resolve any complaint or misunderstandingIf Mr [redacted] agrees to this refund, we ask that he contacts us directly so that we may initiate the refund processWe are also open to using the Revdex.com Arbitration process to resolve this dispute if Mr [redacted] would like to as wellIf you require any further information, please contact our officeThank you for your time and assistance with this matter Sincerely, Wall & Associates, Inc

RE: [redacted] *., Revdex.com Case#: [redacted] To Whom It May Concern, We are writing in response to the recent complaint filed against our company (copy enclosed) regarding the fees paid and services rendered to Ms [redacted] ***Ms [redacted] sought out and hired our services in September of for administrative tax representation before the Internal Revenue ServiceI will attempt to address Ms***'s concerns in this response and should she have any specific follow up questions we strongly encourage her to call our office to speak with a knowledgeable representative regarding her caseIn her complaint Ms [redacted] states that our office made numerous claims regarding the services provided and the level of effort that would be allocated to her caseI have reviewed the account and Ms***'s case in detailOur office took all reasonable steps in attempting to address her balance with the Internal Revenue ServiceUpon review it does appears that sporadically there were payment discrepancies that prevented Wall & Associates, Incfrom actively working on Ms***'s case and in several instances work, unfortunately, had to be stopped on her caseDuring one such instance there was a scheduled hearing our office could not conductOur office was never made aware of any ongoing financial hardship in meeting the terms of the agreed upon arrangement between Ms [redacted] and our office, but if we had been, arrangements could have been made that allowed us to continue work on her caseWall & Associates, Incunderstands that life is sometimes unpredictable and we work with our clients as necessary so that we can continue the valuable work we do on their caseOur office is very upfront regarding the services that our clients can expect, but more importantly we are very upfront regarding the results they can expectWe have each of our client's sign a simple, three page contract that clearly explains, in an understandable manner, the terms of what they can expect from us while under our care and their obligations to usIt clearly explains that while Wall & Associates, Inchas a tremendous record of success we cannot provide a specific guarantee of resultsAny company that makes such a specific promise, in our industry, is just being untruthfulOur office as a matter of professional responsibility does not provide timeframes in resolving a caseOur cases are dependent on outside taxirrg authorities and there is no consistent average timeframe one can expectMs [redacted] mentions "random unscheduled phone calls" that our office madeThis would have been a simple error to rectify if we had been made aware of itIf Ms [redacted] wanted to establish a more consistent contact frequency and time she would have only had to make her request known to the case teamIt would have immediately been addressed and scheduled calls establishedMs [redacted] mentions that all the services that our office has provided to date can only be considered clerical workA case summary has already been sent to Ms [redacted] and I have enclosed a copy as an attachment to this responseMs [redacted] is well aware of the services our company has providedWe made numerous calls to the IRS to address her tax issue and our work has exceeded that of clerical workAt this time our office cannot offer Ms [redacted] a refundOur office was consistent in our work and our office undertook reasonable step.s in addressing her tax controversyIt is unfortunate that billing discrepancies arose during the handling of her case and our office was forced to stop work, but that does not warrant a refund for services we have fairly providedA majority of the issues that Ms [redacted] had with her case could have been addressed by a simple phone call or email to our officeI would like to offer Ms [redacted] the opportunity to speak with someone regarding her case in our officeAs you know, tax issues are complex, and som.etimes issues arise for one reason or another in the resolution of a caseWe are there for our clients when those issues arise regardless of when they may have happenedI strongly encourage Ms [redacted] to reach out to our officeWe want to be of assistance and we want to be provided a fair opportunity to explain the issues involving her case with her directlyff you require any further information, please contact our officeThank you for your time and assistance in this matter.Sincerely, Wall & Associates, Inc

WALL & ASSOCIATES, INC.PO Box 1301Pulaski, Virginia 24301Phone: 540-382-5662Fax: 540-246-0731December 8, 2016By E-mail: [redacted] Revdex.com Serving Central VirginiaATTN: Ms [redacted] ***Moorefield Park Dr.Suite 300Richmond, VA 23236RE: [redacted] **; Revdex.com Case#: [redacted] To Whom It May Concern,We are writing in response to the recent complaint filed against our company regarding the fees paid and services rendered to Mr [redacted] Mr [redacted] sought out and hired our services in December of for administrative tax representation. In reviewing Mr [redacted] complaint there are several issues our office would like to addressMr [redacted] himself does state in his complaint that part of the debt was cleared due to the efforts of Wall & Associates, Incand then subsequently states that no resolution has been achievedThese two statements are in conflict with one anotherThe tax issue cleared was in relation to his wife and our office was able to successfully negotiate an [redacted] Offer in Compromise on her behalfThe fact of the matter is that Mr [redacted] tax matters compromise a number of tax types, tax years, and specific individualsThe total liability is in excess of [redacted] and involves business balancesOur office does attempt to clear our client's tax matters in as rapid a manner as possible; however, tax issues that take years to generate can, in some cases, take years to resolve.Mr [redacted] himself states that our office did agree to offer a slight reprieve in regards to his paymentsWall & Associates, Incagreed to waive a number of monthly fees that we were entitled to for remuneration in addressing his tax controversyMr [redacted] subsequently states that this consideration was not offered a second time and that is accurateBilling considerations are reviewed independently from one another and if it is determined that work is required on a case our office cannot normally authorize the waiving of fees on a caseOur office is open to working with our clients and are always willing to review billing concerns, but we cannot waive fees on request. In reviewing the administrative tax controversy agreement that Mr [redacted] signed our office does not see where a set fee cap was ever put in placeShould Mr [redacted] have proof indicating otherwise we respectfully request that he forward it to our office so that we can immediately get this billing issue resolved. Finally, Mr [redacted] brings up issues related to the individuals and teams working his caseIn some cases it is necessary to modify the existing members of a case team or move one client from one team to anotherThis is done to ensure that all of our clients are receiving the attention they deserveWe don't want one team to get too many clientsIf Mr [redacted] has significant concerns related to the change implemented the simplest solution is to request to speak to one individual or to remain with one teamSuch a request would easily be granted.Mr [redacted] is currently with our Client Services Group to examine possible future billing considerations and to see if we can work with him in regards to the monthly fees currently owedThe filing of third party complaints can in some cases prevent us from being able to offer further billing considerations so it is very important that clients with concerns allow our office to review their case prior to doing thisIn many cases our office is very flexible in regards to working with our clients. If you require any further information, please contact our officeThank you for your time and assistance with this matter.Sincerely,Wall & Associates, Inc.By: Brandon G [redacted] , Quality Assurance Manager

Revdex.com: I have reviewed the offer and/or response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint For your reference, details of the offer If your company is so concerned with pleasing their clients they would agree to refund my money How many future customers would like to go through what I have been through? How many clients or future clients would look at this as a favorable experience? My reason for stopping payment at certain times throughout the tenure was because of my frustration with the lack of progress on my caseI am now working with the Irs on my own this is exactly what I paid you the money to do! When I visited the local IS office they were quite frustrated with the lack of continuity with tax resolution I am currently working with them to resolve my tax issues and I guarantee that this will be resolved before the end of FEBRUARY would be years with WALL!I am sure if you look through the files you will see that I contacted you many times throughout the tenure frustrated and upset to the point of tears with what was going on.Ii finally reached the point where I just couldn't do it anymore..or afford to continue.I feel that what you did for me is not worth $15,000!!!I will continue to work with the IRSon my behalf If anything.you keep the $for all your hard work and refund me the rest of my moneyAdded note: The person I met with was indeed the vice president of Sales for Wall in this region HE WAS ON LINKEDIN and I recognized him Regards, [redacted] ***

RE: Mr [redacted] *.: Revdex.com Case#: [redacted] Dear Ms [redacted] , We are writing in response to the recent complaint filed against our company regarding the fees paid and services rendered to Mr [redacted] Mr [redacted] sought out and hired our services in January of for administrative tax representationMr [redacted] raises several concerns in his complaint and we will endeavor to respond to each one of them to his satisfactionAs always, if a client has concerns about their case the absolute best way to have those concerns remedied is to contact our office directlyThe first point that I would like to address is that Wall & Associates, Incis not a law office and none of our staff are attorneysMr [redacted] states that he believed we were a ''real law office." Wall & Associates, Incdocs not hold .ilsct r out to be attorneys and does not hold itself out to represent clients in legal mattersWall & Associates, Increpresents our clients purely on an administrative tax basisThis is clearly reflected in our contract for servicesSecondly, Mr [redacted] states that our office is a scam and we have not been in contact with the Internal Revenue Service and that no work has been performedNothing could be further from the truthOur office has been in frequent contact with the IRS and have spoken to them as necessary to resolve his tax controversyThe most recent contacts occurred in February when the LRS issued a wage garnishment against Mr [redacted] Our office spoke with ACS Agent Thompson (ID#: 10002l3743) and successfully argued a rcleThe wage garnishm.ent had been issued in error by the IRS since there was an open Collection Due Process Hearing request on Mr [redacted] 's accountDuring this call our office made sure the appropriate coding was on the account and that no further levies would be issuedOur office subsequently contacted Mr [redacted] to get a fax number to send the release to and he informed our office at that time that he was no longer working with the employer to which the wage levy was issuedMr [redacted] also states that he has contacted his local taxpayer advocate serviceOur office also utilizes the taxpayer advocate service, when needed for a representation case, and they are a valuable resource for us when our clients are placed in dire situationsUnfortunately, the taxpayer advocate in this case is just simply not correctOur office doesn't know the details of the conversation that Mr [redacted] had with the taxpayer advocate, but our office is not and has never been a scamThe numerous cases our office has submitted to the national taxpayer advocate for review should more than prove that pointWe expect that during his scheduled meeting on March he will be made fully aware of that factWall & Associates wants to ensure our clients have the most competent representation available, if circumstances arise in their case thatl they have concerns about, they should contact our office regarding those concerns and they will be remediedWe request Mr [redacted] place a call to our office so that we can discuss his specific concerns in more detailWe are devoted to the satisfaction of our clients and want to make sure they are made aware of the circumstances surrounding their cases If you require any further information, please contact our officeThank you for your time Sincerely, Wall & Associates, Inc
