I received the attached letter from your office and was here the day [redacted] came into the office. He had our service way back in 2011 and actually had us out there 3 times to do work.[redacted] came into the office to pay and must tell you he was not very polite at all and actually made a big...

We actually had our cleaning company here at the same time and he (the cleaner) made the Comment about how "rude and fake that guy was..." only tell you this so you know.[redacted] did pay the debt and we notified the external Collection company that has been contacting him for the past 3 or so years. They wrote back with the following to assure us and [redacted] all was now fine.f will get this account updated to show 0 balance. We can do a status change form to get the account deleted from the credit, it may still take a few days for the bureaus to get it completed on their end.Thanks for letting us know and have a great daylI hope that helps but if you feet he should be handled differently, please feel free to do what you feel best. his wife, [redacted], wrote you about this so i’m hoping she is just not aware i’ve already contacted her husband. I am enclosing below my email to him from 25 January. Would you be so kind as to let [redacted] know all this as I certainly do not want a negative report with you guys… Thanks so much!!! Morning sir! Would you be so kind as to please ask your wife about this again to ensure what i’m being told is correct?? Our Senior Agronomist, [redacted], met with “[redacted]” whom I am guessing is your wife on 25 August per her request. Mr. [redacted] diagnosed the lawn as containing some crabgrass as well as nutsedge. As you are on our program, we offered to treat the crabgrass post-emergently free of charge. [redacted] did thank him for this and requested it be performed. At that time, she also declined worrying about the nutsedge… [redacted] also explained how bad crabgrass was for the entire region last year…… (Just so you know…..) On 30 August, [redacted] came out to perform your Late Summer Fertilization as well as the crab-grass post-emergent [redacted] ordered just 5 days earlier with [redacted]….  The fertilizer portion of that visit is the only thing owing on your account as again, there was no charge for the crab-grass….   Is this the same visit you are thinking of?? I would like to ask why you would think I run an unethical business?? We’ve been working together for over 6 years now and I would like to think have built up quite a bit of trust and professionalism with one-another… Of course mistakes happen and when they do I always preach to the team here to correct them. I can however promise you that nobody here would intentionally do something to harm you or not be ethical with you… Obviously i’m hoping when you guys are ready to have the lawn treated again i’m your first call but I would be remiss if I did not ask about your comment as well. I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear belowMy husband and I have both been on the same page and communicated that we no longer wanted Weedman's services.  We cancelled the service on August 26th , an additional treatment was applied on August 30th.  We have communicated this multiple times ! Since the last email from [redacted] and his company we were sent a bill threatening collections ! This is again why we paid the bill and filed the complaint to get our money back. All previous emails to cancel the bill have either been ignored or need more info !

timely and regular applications of nutrients and weed control. Consistency is of primary importance in any maintenance program. It is common practice and standard in the lawn care industry to operate in this manner.  We have numerous satisfied customers that appreciate this type of renewal service, knowing that their lawn is in good hands year after year. Due to this being an automatic renewal service, in order to prevent unwanted services and issues of this kind, we mail out 3 Renewal Letters. Starting in November we mail out the first letter, followed by for the second and third letters being mailed in January and February. In the letters we state the auto-renewal process and if you wish to change or stop your program, please contact our office by phone, email or the address provided and we will happily make any adjustments you require. In addition before we perform every application throughout the year, we give a telephone call ahead to each customer to let them know we will be out in the next couple days to perform a service and if they need to make any changes, please contact our office with any questions or concerns. This not only helps the customer plan out their day but also helps us to be more efficient and not waste time or products.   As a company that strives to provide excellent customer service and one that prides itself on its ability to work with our customers, per [redacted]’s desired settlement, we have refunded the charge of $50.00 and mailed out a check in that amount. I am rejecting this response because:Although the company has contacted me and admitted fault, I am still waiting on restitution. Plus, I am waiting for feedback on damage that was done to my Blue Spruce. They have been very thorough with trying to resolve this complaint and I believe it will all be resolved soon.

complaint ID that was assigned to this case is [redacted]. The customer spoke with our office manager regarding his account, and had a complaint about his second application that had been rescheduled for reasons beyond our control. Our office manager attempted to ask the customer some questions to try and better understand the issue. When we requested the opportunity to look into the situation with the technician who services their lawn, the customer refused our request. The customer then demanded Weed Man refund their prepayment and cancel the remaining services on their account. Our Office Manager agreed to mail a refund check and cancel the remaining services, as the customer would not allow us to resolve the issue. The customer had one service completed already, and wasrefunded for the five services that had not been completed yet. Weed Man put the check for $177.88, as well as a detailed letter explaining why our company had to reschedule his application, in the mail 1-2Business days later.  After further investigation within our office, it was determined that the customer had requested our Technician at the time of his first visit, to go through his garage to access his backyard for his applications. Each time the Technician attempted to complete the second application for the customer, there was no one home to allow him access through the garage so the technician put the application through to be rescheduled. We attempted to complete this application three times, before we heard back from the customer and he demanded his refund and services canceled.  Weed Man focuses highly on providing the best customer service to our customers. and one way we do this is by following the special requests that are made by our customers to our office staff or technicians.We regret losing a customer over something that could have been easily resolved, but we feel that Weed Man did not do anything wrong in this scenario since the technician was following the personal request ofthe customer. We would have gladly accommodated the customer in any way possible to resolve this issue and get their application completed had we been given the opportunity to make things right.Sincerely, Julie Mufford Office Manager

This customer ordered a lawn-care program from one of our technicians for the 2016 season. After two applications were performed, we...

went out to the perform the third of seven applications. After that application was done, this customer called and said he did not order an ongoing service, but only two applications, and that he had told us that he would call for future services. We have no record of that, and the confirmation letter sent to him clearly stated that seven applications would be performed throughout the year. In addition, he claimed that the third application was not performed, because he was not home. We had clear record of our truck being at his property for the amount of time necessary to perform the service, but he still said he did not believe that it was done. Despite the above events, we are more interested in a productive settlement of this matter, and as always our customer's satisfaction is our number one goal. We have called the customer and informed him that we have written off the balance due for this application, and that his account is closed out. Obviously, if he should decide to use our service again we would be happy to do so, but until then we are pleased that the matter has been resolved.

It does appear at first that we failed to explain our program properly. The first application that we completed was the spring fertilizer. It is meant to feed your lawn and get things growing. This first application does...

not have any weed control in it and normally at that time of year the weed control is not needed. We do commit to return to your lawn every 3 to 4 weeks to do alternating applications of fertilizer and weed control. In your case we were out on the Apr 24th to fertilize and even with the May snow storm and several days of high wind we were out on your property on May the 18th to spray the weeds, within that time frame. At this time our weed control guarantee goes into effect and if you have weeds after 10 days we will come back out to spray them. We cannot commit to be there the next day but we will return in a timely manner. When we spoke on May 18th I related most of this information to you.
In regards to your calls not being returned I strongly must disagree. On May 11th you had called asking if we could use our equipment to put down seed that you had purchased and I spoke to you personally the next day and explained that the lawn care technician could not do this and that a manager would be out by the 22nd of May to do this for you. It was done on May 20th. On May 15th you left a voice mail asking when the weed control would be done and that call was returned on the 16th advising Monday. Over the Victoria Day long weed end you did indeed leave several additional messages and even though our office was closed I again spoke with you in person on the holiday Monday after reviewing each and every voicemail that you left. Because it was the holiday weekend I had not received this Revdex.com complaint or the multiple e-mails that you had sent to our head office.
Again when we spoke Monday you said directly that you needed the weed control immediately and it was done that day. You made no mention of wanting your payment refunded. It is only when I received the e-mails and Revdex.com complaint that I was made aware of that.
I believe that it is extremely unfair that you would have us continue with services when you had submitted multiple requests for a refund and you spoke to me directly before the weed control application was completed.
With all these being said I will absolutely be honoring your request for a complete refund and we will discontinue our services immediately per your multiple written requests.

The Weed Man has taken care of our lawn for several years. He also takes care of several yards in our neighborhood as well as the Neighborhood entrance area. It's been our experience that they provide the highest quality service and products to maintain and great looking and healthy lawn at a reasonable price. I highly recommend their services to everyone in the East Texas area.

I spent $1,500 three years ago plus to have weeds removed from our field. After four spraying and reseeding the field was unchanged. They email me three times per year and call to schedule new service. I have asked to be removed from their customer list several times. I received an email last week and I replied I would complain to you if they contacted me again. Two day slater a representative call me to schedule service. I tried to be nice but it didn't work too well.

This claim has been settled and there is no need for further action. Thank you.

I am in the lawn care industry and I have recommended the weedman to many of my customers and each customer had a great experience. the owner steven riles is very hands on and makes sure each customer is satisfied

Weed Man has done an excellent job at bringing my lawn back to life after previous owners neglected it. Reliable and dependable. Grass is thick and weeds are gone.

I signed up for Weed man services early June 2015.
No issues with the guys performing the lawn maintenance tasks but
I have had several problems with receiving phone calls to "up sell me" !
The guys who perform the work attempt to get you to agree to other
lawn maintenance work; that is fine, I say yes or no in person.

However, 1 week ago on Sept 15th I received a very "sneaky and misrepresentation" from a telephone solicitor. She made it sound that she was just "confirming" that
I had agree to an additional service. I made it clear that I had not ! Very underhanded and bad business in my opinion. This was at least the third time I had been contacted by phone.

For this reason, I will not be using Weed man in the future and would discourage other people to do the same !

Regards,  [redacted] Yes - the company did refund us however, their response is incorrect.  Service was never refused.  When the technician came the first time we were home and the garage was open and he did access the yard at that time, however we showed him the side gate that would need to be accessed when we were not home.  When the technician called to tell he was coming - it was explained at that time to use the side gate.  What my question why didnt they ever call us to let us know of their supposed issue?????  They had both home and cell numbers so the issue could hae been easily rectified if they say they could not access the yard.
