The Wehner MultiFamily management team at Hampton Hollow townhomes in Crowley, Texas, have more than proven themselves to be either vulturous and complicit in pursuits of unbridled greed, or they're simply apathetic and incompetent. I'm inclined, really, to believe a mixture of all of the above. With all seriousness, I'd stay away from any property that they've got their talons within.

A hole in my ceiling in Running Brook Apartments has been reported but not yet repaired.
I currently reside in Running Brook Apartments in Arlington, TX. On Wednesday evening, 31 October 2018 I discovered a hole approximately 4 feet long and 2 feet wide in the ceiling over my kitchen/ dinning nook in my unit. The sheet rock had collapsed and several cubic feet of attic insulation and large pieces of sheet rock were on my dining table, chairs and floor.
I took my children elsewhere for the next several nights (at my expense) and notified the leasing office on 1 November using the online service request via https://wehner.myresman.com/Portal#/Portal/WorkOrders. Work order #1660 was produced on 1 November 2018. A follow-up phone call to the office was then made, also on 1 November. The first call was made during normal business hours, but went to an answering service. I left a message which was not returned. A second call was made on 2 November and another message left. On 12 November, a second service request was rendered (#1746), again through the online site. Both online request were sent wit photos. Request #1746 was closed by the management on 14 November and an email sent to me stating that the work order was completed. After re-entering the unit I discovered that the work had in fact not been completed and there was no evidence that anyone had even been in the unit.
I filed and sent a certified letter to the listed postal address for the leasing office. I was spoke the office manager/representative and was told on 20 November that the letter was not received. That day or the next, however, both toilets in my unit were replaced. No service request was made for toilet concerns.
As of today's date and time the ceiling issue has yet to be addressed to my knowledge.

Desired Outcome

For their breach of contract in failing to repair the hole in my ceiling, and expenses incurred for having to pay rent and yet reside elsewhere at my inconvenience and expense; I would like Running Brook Apartments or its managing affiliate (Whener MultiFamily, LLC) to allow me to terminate my lease (per Texas Property Code) and refund my deposit and or the total amount of November's rent without any further liability to me or my family; and without an adverse rental history or credit report filing or civil court litigation.

I entered into a lease agreement that was not stated truthfully.
I entered into a lease at Western Oaks Apts located in Bethany, OK (owned by wehner) I was shown a unit then given a different one after signing the lease. There have been issues resolved that I have discussed w/ the manager on property. There is mold the apt. I currently have been without working heat for over a month, have not been able to use the bathtub for almost 2 months, clogged pipes, pest issues, and many other things those at this time being the most pertinent. I have signed acknowledgement from apt manager stating the issues, I also have audio recording with verbal acknowledgement of these ongoing problems. I have attempted numerous times to get Wehner Multi to contact me as they own this property and am never able to speak to anyone. Any emails I think I sent to Wehner are apparently being re routed back to my apt office so nothing seems to go any further. I have paid my rent in full on time everymonth yet Ihave essential necessities that should be provided me per OK Landlord Tenant Act that have consistently ignored. I have tried so very hard to be patient but after almost 2 months of washing of with a damp rag and washing hair in the sink, freezing as the temps are lowering getting colder everyday, and I want to vomit and do noy want to even eat because the roaches are so bad, and now I itch constantly and have these odd sores all over me. I put on a garment of clothing and feel things biting me. I have never been in am environment with pests and now my appliances I brought myself are now going to have to be destroyed as I will not bring any of my furnishings into any new place so I guess I pay rent on time to be given a cold, disusting place to lay my head so I can be eaten alive.

Desired Outcome

I honestly do not know what the solution is here. I am consulting an attorney. In the meantime I am by law supposed to have habitable living conditions to live upon entering into a lease with a company for property which as of today and from day 1 not been provided these things. I honestly would like them to be shut down however I amsure that is not something with the realm of services youprovided. I wold like reimbursement for the portable heaters I have had to purchase, the in home pest control done so far, the return of monies I have had to spend to be able to bathe myself.

False Advertising on several websites as a "Gated community" with knowledge that the gates are broken. Violation of DTPA.
Wehner Multifamily LLC manages Primavera Apartments located at ***. Primavera Apartments has been advertied as a "gated community" on several web platforms, including their own website, despite their knowledge that the gates are broken. Such is in violation of the DTPA (Deceptive Trade Pratices Act). Also at issue are persistent violations of state law drug trafficking felonies which constitute a cause of action under 18 USC 1964(c).

Desired Outcome

Payment in the amount of $7,000.00 To avoid the necessity for federal litigation.

Wehner Multifamily Property Management refused to refund deposits and part of 1st month's rent.
I applied with co-applicant at Preslee Apartments at 2504 *** Ct, *** TX XXXXX. We made our deposit, additional deposit, and prorated 1st month's rent ($250.00, $950.00, and $591.37) which we paid in installments. Two days before our move-in date 8/17/18 to view the apartment, pay last installment, and read and sign the lease. The apartment had changed over to new management and the apartment wasn't ready. We came back 8/17/18, and the apartment still wasn't ready. The apartment the manager described was not the apartment we applied for, and we still weren't allowed to view the apartment. We asked for our refund, and the manager gave us a refund of $492.00). After a few tries, I was able to get Corporate's information, and called Juan who gave me an email address to submit to. I emailed the company at ***@wehnermultifamily.com waited about 2 weeks, and called Juan again. I called Juan roughly once a week, and he said escalated the issue because no one would contact me. I called 10/2/18 to let him know that no one has contacted me, and he told me I would not receive be receiving any refund. He said the deposit was non-refundable. I told him we still hadn't received all of 1st month's rent. He said that wasn't the information he had. When we applied, the previous manager explained the fees verbally and we have document given to us by Preslee detailing nonrefundable fees vs refundable fees. Our deposit and 1st month's rent is refundable.

Desired Outcome

I am seeking a full refund from Wehner Multifamily Property management.

Horrible living conditions that include non working outlets in residence, water getting in front door and leaky ceiling.
These problems have been going on since I moved there in June. Wehner recently took over and haven't handled the issues.

Desired Outcome

I seek that they fix repairs ASAP and communicate with me.

+1

Failure to make repairs in a timely manner that could potentially lead to critical health issues.
The ceiling in my apartment began to leak on 4/30/18. The leak was taken care of and in doing so, a hole in the ceiling was made on 5/1/18. I renewed my lease in June, at that time I notified Linda of the situation and she stated she would get it fixed. Today 9/6/18 the situation has been COMPLETELY ignored and overlooked. I know have mold in and around the vents in my apartment and was told the iasue could jeopardize my health as I am inhaling mold and asbestos at all time from within my apartment.

Desired Outcome

I would like to have my ceiling repaired and vents completely cleaned. I would also like to be compensated for the lack in effort of the problem that can and will lead to serious health issues.

This company manages Icon Apartments in San Antonio, TX and has failed to maintain a habitable and safe environment.
Since March 2018, Wehner Multifamily has failed to provide me a habitable and safe unit per my lease. I have a whole in my master bedroom that has been there for over 2 weeks. The apartment above me leaks and the leak was directly over my bed. A contractor came out on 7/21/18 and cut a hole in the ceiling and advised a plumber would be needed to fix the leak prior to him covering the hole. A plumber has yet to visit my unit to complete the repair. Water has been leaking on the floor ever since. A gentleman was stabbed outside of my apartment in July 2018 and the management has not made accommodations to ensure safety of the residents.

Desired Outcome

Amicable release from my lease contract. This was previously offered verbally by office manager Kim Meza but then rescinded due to continued maintenance requests/complaints.

April 2018 we looked at a 1 bedroom model at "The Pointe on Calloway" Apartments. They did not have one available until 6/8/18 and at that time put down an application fee of $150.00. On 5/2/18 I put down a deposit of $250.00 to secure the apartment which was to be vacated 5/1/18. When we arrived to move in on 6/8/18 the apartment was Nasty and had not been cleaned since the previous tenets moved and had a hole in the bathroom floor. The Fridge,Stove, Oven were filthy and the carpet was stained and dirty. The apartment was not habitable for an animal much less a human being. I have written e-mail's made many phone calls and have not gotten a refund for my $400.00. When I called the actual management company to explain a man named Juan hangs up on me. How does any company do business like that? Thank goodness we didn't move there and all I want is my $400.00 back.

Moved into this apartment community. Apartment was not ready on set scheduled date and they have failed to fix ac after a full week and other issues
So we got approved for a unit 2 months before move in date and the apartment was still not ready on our set day. We changed all our uhaul reservations and everything by a day. The ac was out when we arrived to move in on 7-7-2018. We told the office and as of 7-13 it is still not fixed. I have been at the office every day trying to see what the issue is. There is also plumbing issues I have mentioned multiple times that is still not fixed either. I finally got a corporate number and can't get on the line with a single person to resolve the issue. They even resorted to ignoring my calls. I've left multiple voicemails and emails and my apartment is still uninhabitable. I would like to get my full refund of deposits along with compensation to have to move a week after I moved to this location. I now don't have the time to do it myself and will need to hire movers. This is the worst apartment experience I've ever had.

Desired Outcome

To compensate for lost time and pay to relocate me out of the apartment they refuse to actually fix. And a full refund of deposits paid

Flooding in apartment night of 7/4, emergency line was ignored. Mgmt admitted to ignoring emergency line because was inconvenient. 12 hours before fix
Incident occurred on the night of July 4, just before 9:30 pm, at Wehner Multifamily property Icon Apartments, 1300 Patricia, San Antonio, TX, XXXXX. Noticed lots of water coming up from the floor in bedroom. Quickly became standing water. Called emergency maintenance line numerous times; never received any answer. Unable to bring in 24 hour plumber because didn't have permission from management. Emailed front office and placed written copy of note on front door at 1:00 am. No fix of any kind or acknowledgement of issue was offered until 8:30 am July 5, when management arrived and saw email. So - email was seen during following day's business hours before emergency message was listened to from 9:30 pm previous night. Talked to management the morning of July 5 to ask what happened, and they admitted they were ignoring the emergency maintenance line and not screening any calls placed there because they had an issue with some residents lacking hot water during the day of July 4, and they assumed all other calls placed on the emergency line were necessarily related only to that non-emergency issue, so they didn't think they needed to screen calls on the emergency line and could ignore them. My wife and I had water flooding into our apartment for nearly 12 hours because management and maintenance were refusing to even listen to the messages placed on the emergency maintenance line. Management has only offered a maximum of $100 dollars off next month's rent, and refuses to give contact information or names for supervisors. Have tried multiple times to get through to Wehner Multifamily personnel at headquarters, have been completely ignored. We are still assessing the water damage, but have been brushed aside and ignored by the incredibly subpar and demonstrably incompetent management. This is incredibly dangerous as a business practice and against state and local housing laws. We seek a full month's rent credited to us to help with damages and as acknowledgment of failure in this case with regard to the handling of this issue.

Desired Outcome

We seek a full month's rent either refunded from July 1 or credited for the month of August, totaling approximately $1,000.00, to aid in cleaning water damage and as acknowledgement of violation of lease terms.

Complaint Details
I was a tenant with Four Oaks Apartments for about 4 years. I moved out May 2017 to move to San Antonio. In February 2018 I contacted the apartments to fax over my good standing rental history so that I could move into Forest Glen Apartments without paying a $250 fee for not having rental history. I called begged and pleaded with them to send over this information and so did the leasing agent at Forest Glen Apartments here in San Antonio. The manager at Forest Oaks states that there had been multiple property changes so it would take a while to find my paperwork. I advise her that I would have to pay a $250 fee that I could not afford because they were delaying the process of finding my paperwork. She advised that she would have to look through "Dead Files" and it would be a couple of weeks. It is now June 2018. Wehner Multifamily will not take responsibility for mishandling or either losing my paperwork with my personal information and clear me of any debt. I spoke with Jaun at Webber Multifamily he is rude disrespectful arrogant and didn't try to help at all. He also denied giving me the name of his boss and her phone number. Elizabeth the manager at Vintage Pad says I need to Perdue legal action because they are lying about my paperwork. I just want my personal information from them, my clearance letter, and a $250 refund. I've called them several times and they avoid me or either take my messages and never return my call. I want them to reimburse me $250 that I had to pay Forest Glen Apartments due to Forest Oaks inconsistencies and failure to produce legal and legitimate documents that proves I was not in default or debt when I moved out in May 2017. I also want a letter stating that I am in good standing with Four Oaks Apartments. I would like the reimbursement and letter produced within a two week time frame from today's date. June 5th 2018. This company has had since February 2018 to produce the paperwork. It is now four months and I would like immediate action taken. Thank you.

Desired Outcome

I want this company to produce my paperwork with my personal information on it period a clearance letter stating that I do not owe them anything. And I would like the $250 refund that I had to pay to my new apartments because my old apartments field to produce paperwork that they should already have.Juanv@ *** it's supposed to be some type of manager but he is absolutely rude and disrespectful. They stop managing the property that I stayed in on April 30th 2017 I moved out on May fourth or 5th 2017. According to Elizabeth the manager at vintage pads Apartments they would indeed have access to my information Juan lied

The apartment refuses to remove and control a bug problem in my apartment which creates a health hazard for me and my family.
I've spoken with office staff on multiple occasions and have had little to no assistance regarding the bug problem in my apartment. The caulking in my bathtub does not stay closed and is allowing bugs in my apartment tub. All the drawers in the kitchen and bathroom are misaligned and do not function properly. The office staff have hung up on me and refuse to take mine and my neighbors phone calls. The office manager advised my husband she would let us out of our lease and when he asked for that in writing she advised "I'm off the clock". I've called corporate multiple times and only received one email response from the Area director that is no longer with the company. The maintenance staff is constantly new which tells me they can't keep them on staff for very long.

Desired Outcome

A functioning apartment that's safe and habitable for my family.

RE: REM Capital Management / Wehner Multi-Family,

Gentlemen:

On approximately March 27th, I visited the Three Fountains Senior Living Center at 6011 Melody Lane in Dallas to view a senior living apartment, I met with a women named Reedie *** (sp) who identified herself as the Property Manager for the Three Fountains, owned by Wehner Multi-Family

We had a nice conversation, I was shown an apartment within my budget and floorplan desires and I told Reedie that I would take it. Reedie said "Great, I need a total of $395 in security deposit" She also said that the Three Fountains had no on line payment capability, but that checks or cash was acceptable. So, I gave her $395.00 in cash and she made three pages of photocopies of the cash bills, indicated that the $395 was a deposit to hold a vacant unit until my July 1, 2018 move in date, plus an application fee ($45) and an administrative fee ($50). She then signed the front page of the photocopy and marked it paid.

On Friday, April 6, Wehner Multi-Family sold the Three Fountains to REM Management.

On Tuesday, April 10, 2018 I got a phone call from a woman named Lidia from the Three Fountains who said I had not paid my deposit and the community could no longer hold my unit until July 1. I returned Lidia's phone call on Friday, April 13th and informed her I had not only a receipt, but also a photocopy of the cash that was deposited and signed and itemized by Reedie.

She asked that I bring it to her for review, and on Tuesday, April 17th I presented the photocopied currency to Lidia who immediately to a "supervisor", a woman named Myra *** who subsequently identified herself as the Regional Manager. Myra basically said "We don't accept cash. We can't trace cash down like we can a check or money order, so I'm not holding your apartment." And basically it was goodbye after that.

Beginning April 18 through the 23rd I called Wehner Multi-Family and reached a man named Juan who said Accounts Payable was at extension 1500. I got a recording a left a message describing the issue. I called extension 1500 throughout the next week and on April 30 I called Juan again, this time asking for the name of the Accounts Payable person (it is Anne) and I left another message. On April 30 I also called the Three Fountains asking for Myra *** the Regional Manager for the Three Fountains, and was told she was not available. I asked for a return phone call to address the continuing issue.

As of May 1, 2018, I have received no return calls from either Wehner Multi-Family or the Three Fountains.

Here's what I want in resolution of this issue:

o My $395 deposit to be credited to my account at The Three Fountains and my hold on a one bedroom apartment for $950 a month, all bills paid, to be re-instated.

o Since I am required by my present lease to give 60 days notice to end my lease, I want a timely resolution. My notice date is today, May 1, 2018.

For your convenience: Three Fountains phone is XXX-XXX-XXXX and the street address is 6011 Melody Lane, Dallas, Texas 75231. Wehner Multi-family is XXX-XXX-XXXX and the street address is 7075 Twin Hills Avenue, Suite 600, Dallas, Texas XXXXX.
Thank you for your support and assistance.

Sincerely,

William ***

My apartment flooded due to this apartment complex never fixing my sink after I called time and time again. I had six inches of water throughout.
On March 23rd, 2018 My apartment flooded due to the maintenance never completely fixing my sink properly. It started out as a hole in the sink that was supposed to be replaced with a new sink! Instead of doing what they said, the manager decided just to have the maintenance take a sink from another apartment and put it in my apartment but it did not fit and later I found out that the faucet hose had a hole which caused the flood. After installing the used sink the disposal was not hooked up properly, leading to food and water setting under the sink. It took 3 days for them to even come and look at it because "they had other emergencies".
I was told that my floors would be replaced and now they have decided that they are not going to. I just DO NOT want to live in mold and mildew. The company that came and sucked up all the water advised me that there would be a high risk because the water sat for over three hours before they got there, but now they are saying that they never told me that and its "there job to prevent it."

Desired Outcome

I would like to at least get new flooring and for them to MAKE SURE that there is no mold growing anywhere in the apartment. If they do not want to give me new flooring I would like to get out of my lease so I can go somewhere more safe.

From the time I had moved in management has been putting notices on my door due to their billing error/ contract issues with housing authority
Moved in 11/1/17 I had received a notice to vacate non-payment notice on 11-6-17 for $706.00 plus late fee which was due to them not signing and returning the contract to housing authority. I have received a notice this month for utilities in the amount of $42.82 which don't match my statements I have received since I moved in. I had been into the office several times to discuss the issue and also contacted corporate about the situation and can not get a response. And the office manager refuse to speak to me 03/22/2018. They are charging fees for services that they don't abide by. The hardly speak English in the office. I have placed several work orders and no maintenance have yet to come out and fix the orders.

Desired Outcome

I want my account corrected and better communication with the office staff with people that are able to communicate English and better organized

Request refund of app fee deposit:
1. The app was never run, so fee should be refunded.
2. Never able to move in, so deposit should be refunded.
A refund of application fee and deposit is being requested because:
1. The application was never run, so the fee should be refunded.
2. I was never able to move into the apartment for reasons beyond my control, so the deposit should be refunded.

The circumstances:
I had a 1 week timeframe to find an apartment and move.
On Monday, 24 Apr 17, I went to Wyndhaven in 09 Apartments in San Antonio to see an apartment.
I was unable to look at the apartment because the floor was not finished.
I told him I would be back the next day.
Unfortunately, later that day, his wife passed away.

Following the manager's wife's death I was unable to get into the apartment for several reasons:
I came back and called both Tuesday and Wednesday, but the manager's office was closed and there was no notice saying when it would be opened again.
On Thursday morning he called back and said he'd had a death in the family and been out.
I immediately took time off from work to go see the apartment.

At that time, I still had 4 days left to move into the apartment.
The vacant apartment was not ready, it needed to be cleaned, he showed me another one and said the other would be cleaned that afternoon and be ready the next day (Friday)
I was desperate to get in as my previous arrangements had fallen through and we talked about that.
At that point he told me about his wife's passing; I was shocked that he was at work.
He was about to go to his wife's memorial and was only working half a day.
I asked if he could take the application and deposit money orders that day, he said he could, so I got them, and he said he would run the application in the morning.
He did not mention the deposit being non-refundable and the site the listing came from says it IS refundable (see attached).

I came by the next day (Friday) to show my son the place, plan for the move, and to introduce him to the manager.
The manager us said the application had not been run, another manager closed out his books for the month, but she had deposited my money.
The application could not be run now until the new month started on Monday.
Also, the apartment was not clean as the cleaning team was not available until Monday.
That Monday I called to see about the application and apartment - there was no answer, Tuesday the same I also drove by on Tuesday and there was no manager and no notice on date of return again.
It was now longer than a week and I had been trying to get into the apartment and a series of events beyond my control had continuously prevented me and now my time to move was gone.

I did everything I could for a week to get into the apartment and I still wasn't able to get in. There are no grounds for keeping my deposit of$150.00, as there never was an available apartment to hold for me. There are no grounds for keeping my application fee of $35.00, as the application was never run.

After a couple weeks and no word from the manager on the refund, I found the address for the corporate offices and sent a certified request a full refund of $185.00. I have received no response and no return card. Essentially, they have taken my money and not responded to my request for it's return.

Desired Outcome

I request a full refund of $185.00, that being my deposit of $150.00 and the my application fee of $35.00.
