Complaint: ***I am rejecting this response because:
The representative did not go over the fact that the gable ends were an extra feature
Their Checklist doesn't prove that they discussed the gables with us
The representative was looking at the website with us during the initial phone call
I would settle for the company adding some language to their website in plain site of any customer that the "pictured" items are a suggested configuration and that the features shown may cost extra
And that this complaint stay in the Revdex.com system as a advertising complaint
Sincerely,*** ***

Please look back through this complaintIt has previously been closed by the Revdex.comThe complaint was closed by the Revdex.com because they determined that WCMB had addressed the issues within the complaintThe customer rejected any offers we had made at that time

This customer ordered two carportsBuilding #1) 12' Wide x 31' Long x 12' LegBuilding #2) 12' wide x 18' Long x 12' LegsThe Customer declined Engineering on both buildings, which would have provided the necessary upgrades to meet a wind and/or snow loads for their areaWhen scheduling both
buildings we confirmed the all the details of the orders including but not limited to the leg height for both buildings at 12' tallThis is what was delivered and signed for by the customer at the time of deliveryWhen confirming with the customer they confirmed that the buildings were to be installing on gravel for one building #and gravel and asphalt on the Building #Once on site the installers were instructed by the customer to install the buildingsThe site was very muddy not the ground type that was confirmed with the customerThe installers made recommendations based on the condition of the siteAs the site was so muddy, therefore an unstable foundation recommendations were made to make upgrades to the building to compensate for the lack of a stable surfaceWe can only deliver and install what is ordered and approved by the customer at that time. The buildings can be modified even though they are already installed and completedFor the smaller building to reduce the leg height the standard fee for this size building is $The high wind anchors can be purchased for $each. You can place as many or as few as you would like on each buildingJuan is the Manager and has spoken with this customer

At times crews cannot reach the build site due to narrow, curvy, rutted driveways, or little clearance both above or on the sides due to trees, power lines and suchOur crew’s truck and trailer combination extend to over 50' in length and is not easy to navigate in the kind of space that was
providedIf the crew was to attempt to make it to the site and there was a problem such as them sliding off the roadway or damaging any of the driveway or the land on either side of the driveway the WCMB would have been responsible for the damagesWCMB does charge a fee if we do not have access to the site and would have to carry by hand the materials and the toolsOur crews will carry all the materials and all the tools to the site at no charge if 100' or less. Therefore after the Crew leader walked to the site a fee of $was determined for the crew to hand carry all the materials and all the tools to the site so that the building could be installedThe Customer did not want to pay the additional charges and then started disrespecting our crewThe building was not accepted and therefore had to be restockedThe restock fee for this building is $Therefore the remaining balance due is $as the deposit was applied to the restock fee as per the contract The customer then went on to send emails to our office staff to continue disrespecting our crew WCMB reserves the right to refuse service to anyone at any timeWCMB will no longer service this customer

Please proved the email address you sent the pictures to us from and received WCMB approval for the installation on the above grade wood frameAll attached advertisements are not from WCMB. WCMB only requires level land for installationAll Site prep is the purchasers responsibilityWCMB
did not require the customer to build a wood frame for the installationWCMB does not have any Office Staff named SteveAs per the contract WCMB is not responsible for any refund of the purchasers deposits made to the Dealer

I am rejecting this response because:I am writing this to fill in some very pertinent facts that have been omitted by West Coast Metal bldgsI ordered the building in September of They gave me many excuses why they couldn't deliverI was told that it would be about three weeks when The order was placedI was very patient with themAt the end of November I received a call from Deliah to confirm a December 1st delivery at 7amShe went over the contract and kept telling me that I had been under chargedShe then would correct herself and change the price to the contracted priceDuring this conversation I said while I had ordered a ten foot wide canopy, I said that I could fit a twelve foot wide canopy except for where my fireplace wasShe informed me that they could do that and would have someone call me back about the priceThe only thing I heard from them was an email on November 19th stating that I would need four braces and the extra charge would be $I never heard another thing from them until they showed up with the twelve foot wide canopy on the first of December three hours lateThe installer told me yes the twelve foot wide would fit but they would have to build a bridge over the fireplaceDeliah called me and said that she had a recording of me requesting the twelve foot wide canopy and threatened me with a re-stocking fee and told me she was cancelling my order and hung up on meI called my salesman and told him what had happened and he said he would talk to them and get them to deliver the canopy that I was contracted forThen I was given a small discount to accept the original ten foot canopyI was given another date for installation on April 4th at 10amI had been very patient with all of the excuses this company still after all this timeOn April 9th I received a phone call from Deliah and was told their truck had broken down and could they come on the 11thI reluctantly agreed because I had other plans, but I agreed to let them comeDeliah told me that I would be their fist stop at 10amThey showed up at 11amI was very happy to see themAn electrician had parked his van in my drive way bu knew the second they pulled up he would need to moveThe installer walked up and told me that they would want to park a crossed the drivewayI went to ask the electrician to tell him to move his van and the installer came to me and said they had another job they could go do and would be back in three hours.I said please it will only take a second to move his vanHe said he would go ask the driverThen they waved and drove offThere were four of us standing there and couldn't believe they didn't come backI called and emailed my sales person to let him know what happenedI called West coast metal buildings and spoke with an employee who had a break down on the phone and told me she didn't know how much more of this she could take and this crew does this all the timeThen Deliah called me and at first threatened me with a re-stock charge until she heard the full storyShe the said she would get the crew back over to my houseThe installer called me and stated he couldn't come back because he was in AstoriaI had now taken three days off workI had spent an hour each day moving four cars, a trailer and my boat to prepare for the installationEach time they failed me, I had to spend an hour moving all of the equipment back off the streetBy the way I have time and date stamped photos that I not only sent to my sales person, but Deliah had me send them to a number that she gave meThat's the reason she changed her mind and realized I was telling the truth.Later that evening JR called and said matter of factually that they would be coming to set up the canopy the next dayI told him I couldn't take another day off workI told him I had waited three different days He said I didn't need to wait because if the installers didn't call they weren't coming and that wasn't their faultHe then threatened me with the re-stocking fee againThat's when I told him I would see him in court and would be seeking my deposit and damagesHe said he was cancelling my order.and hung upI was refunded my full deposit from my salesperson with a huge apologyI haven't received my down payment of $or any correspondence from West coast metalThank you, sincerely *** ***

On Sept 1st I contacted *** with an e-mail subject matter "Do you feel this is worth $2300" and I sent pictures? *** *** at *** responded thanking me for letting him know about the problem. He would contact West Coast Metals send them the pictures and have an installer come to the house and fix it. Sept 14, e-mailed *** asking if any progress had been made. Mr *** said that he contacted West Coast Metals three times with no response. Sept 25, E-mailed *** to let them know that if we didn't hear anything we would contact the Revdex.com. I contacted West Coast Metals to find out who was respondsible for the installation and was told that West Coast Metals was. She asked for me to wait until she could find out what was happening. She called back and said that whoever she talked to said yes they had recieved the complaint. Now they wanted interior pictures. I did more than that. Oct 12, I sent different e-mailes with pictures each of the exterior. On Oct 14, I sent of the interior.
The existing portion does have blac on it from being out in the weather. My husband did add sides to the existing structure a few years ago. I would like to know why the side of the structure on the west side fits nice and has no problems where the east side is a mess. Why is the structure raising up on the northeast corner. could the fact that the installers arrived a little after 5:00pm and by the time they started to work on the east side it was late and they hurried the job? Sincerely *** ***

We do not carry or offer any kind of weather strippingAs a specialty contractor we can only preform work within our specialized fieldThese buildings are not designed or built as a weather tight structureAs the Purchaser it your responsibility to determine what you are purchasing is going to work for your specific needsWe do carry a calking that is used for the roofing at timesWe can as a goodwill gesture come back out and run a bead of calking around the base of the building on either the exterior or on the interiorWe do not guarantee that this will rectify the problem, only that we as a goodwill gesture would return to try this option

Just to confirm....It appears by your sketch you do not want the building shifted from side to side at all and to only to be moved back to the fence line 7'?
Once this is confirmed I will place you into scheduling and will get the building moved

The checklist shows we went over all of the options that were chosen for the carport ordered
When you click on Carport F, our web-site gives the description of the building being shownIt lists the size of the carport as well as the options shown on the building in the picturePlease follow this link to see Carport Picture in questionhttp://westcoastmetalbuildingsinc.com/carportf.html We can only deliver and install what is ordered and confirmed

Complaint: ***
I am rejecting this response because: The drive way is level this has been proven over and over with a pictures etcPlease man up and fix your carport installation properly

This Building was installed in October of
In December of 2015, as a goodwill gesture WCMB inspected the building at no charge to the customer to make recommendations and give an estimate for repairsfee to return the site is $
At that time of the order the customer requested
that the wadoor(s) they ordered to go into their building needed to swing inThe only doors we offer are designed to swing outThe customer was insistent that we install the doors to be able to swing inWe did so at the request of the customer, and therefore the door was installed “As Is”Due to the door being installed in this manner when it rains and the rain water splashes back on the door and runs down the door and into the door jamb that is now inside the frame work and therefore allows water to enter the buildingThis cannot be prevented in the manner in which it was requested to be installed
We were notified by the customer regarding the door in a timely manner and the customer was informed that we installed the door as per their request and therefore the door is installed “As Is”We were not notified about any other issues until October
There have been many modifications to this building since the installation by our crews in October of Proper maintenance and care are the responsibility of the purchaser

When doing extensions on existing buildings, we notify the customer that the extension is not guaranteed to match or line up
The existing building had not had proper maintenance or care performed and has had modifications made to the building that we were done by the customerWe were not
notified about the condition of the building or the modifications. We have requested pictures of the structure from the customerWe requested pictures of both the exterior and the interiorWe have only received a few exterior pictures and no interior picturesThe material that was added by the customer does not have the same profile as the material we use and therefore there is no way to make it come close to lining up, and therefore cannot be done
We can only offer as a Goodwill Gesture to meet the customer in the middle and offer a partial refund of $1,

WCMB - Revdex.com Response:This customer ordered a Round Style RoofThis roof style only allows the building to be pitched from one end of the building to the other due to the Horizontal Sheeting on the Roof and the necessity to move the waterThis building was requested to be set on the customers
existing drivewayThe driveway slopes from an existing Garage to the RoadOur buildings are designed to be installed on a level foundationWe can only adjust for the slope of the roof and cannot adjust for an un-level surfaceBuildings are installed with the lay of the land/ surface on which they are installed on to facilitate the water to flow off the roof to prevent rust and leaksWe do not recommend pitching the roof in the against the lay of the land, but can be accommodated when requested with the scheduler and installed As Is without the warrantyWhenever there is heavy a rainfall, all of our horizontal roof buildings will have cascading water on one end, as the water must go somewhereWe have no control of the amount of rainfall any particular building will receive. This customer was on site at the time of the installation; signed off and approved the installation, notated he was satisfied with the building on his invoice and provided the final payment to the crewThe contract was completed as ordered

Thank you for finally respondingIt only took a month and a half, a dozen phone messages and emails that were not returnedSending a video that you did not respond toI feel my photos and letters landed on blind eyes and deaf ears. I truly wished I financed this structure through your company, that way I would have leverageInstead I paid you by cashier check at your company’s insistenceThat way this issue would be resolvedWhat kind of ethics does your company subscribe to? Your business is absolutely the worst I have ever dealt in my year experience. Finally out of desperation, I contacted the Department of Labor and Industries [LNI] and the Revdex.com [Revdex.com]From what LNI and The Revdex.com has told me I may have to take you to court over this matterI promise you I willYour response to the LNI and Revdex.com, I feel is misleadingI will see if I can clarify your statementsI will address sentence by sentence. Company sentences will be in RedMy responds will be in black. This customer ordered a Round Style RoofThis roof style only allows the building to be pitched from one end of the building to the other due to the Horizontal Sheeting on the Roof and the necessity to move the water. This is the first time I heard this excuse for your poor workmenship Why could you not have told me this earlier? I think your are making this up just to save face with Revdex.comWhy does my neighbor not have this issue? He has the same style roof and Horizontal sheeting that goes half way down the sides of his structureMine may be a little longer don’t use this as another excuse to cover your tracksNote the photos named Roof Style, His panel, my panelRoof lines are the sameI purchased sheeting from *** ***, the color is a little off but the pattern is exactly the same Note photos againHis does not cascade as mine. At the time of order the sales person did not mention anything about this style of roof causing cascading to one end [you will find more on this later]As usual I ask questions, one of which was, Is there any real difference other than price of the varies style structures your company offers? All I got back was style is a personal preferenceAll of our structures work fineAs I am writing this I do recall being told the water will run off the sides not the endThis is keeping in line with construction practicesYour company representatives are supposedly experts in this matterI came to you for purchasing advice and for orderingI purchased what was advised to meThere was no mention to me that water would run off the end making it impossible to pass under the entrance without a thorough drenching on a raining dayI do believe no reasonable person would suspect this problemI believe this is why your company did not respond to my questions and inquiries after the factSo I feel mislead. This building was requested to be set on the customers existing driveway. Yes this is true. The driveway slopes from an existing Garage to the Road. The driveway extends from the shopQuestion what driveway on planet earth does not have a minimum slope for rain water runoff? I sent you weeks ago.The driveway slop from end to end is perhaps 1/8” per four feetNote the two photos taken today proofing this point, entitled length and widthFrom side to side it has a slight angle on the east sideI was very honest about this and I was told this would not cause any issueSince your company insist on capitalizing on this angle, why did you not correct for it? I was told and I saw the runners could facilitate for adjustmentsI have measured the adjustment amount on my structure to be 2” that your installers usedThey could have used much more if they wanted to or needed toMy neighbor’s structure is 11’ from mineThe installer used 4” to adjust for evaluation variation His does not cascade water from the end. Our buildings are designed to be installed on a level foundation. Then why do the runners have adjustment tabs? Why are you insisting my drive way is not level enough? Again note the photos! If your company keeps insisting it is my driveways fault then you should relinquish businessYour company is acting like an adolescent not wanting to own up to its errorsGrow upYou’re in business not the playground. We can only adjust for the slope of the roof and cannot adjust for an un-level surface. Then something must be the matter with youYou keep mentioning my drivewayAgain look at the photos, I sent youIf you had the courtesy to respond to that photo[s] I sent to you weeks ago, we could be speaking about the real problem now instead of wasting time on your nonsenseI will upload photos for Revdex.com to review.Again your runners have adjustment tabsYou only used 2” you could have used 4” as was done on my neighborsIf this is the problem, as you keep bring it up why did you not use the adjustment tabs fully? I will tell you whyThe level of the driveway has nothing at all to do with the cascading rain runoff. Buildings are installed with the lay of the land/ surface on which they are installed on to facilitate the water to flow off the roof to prevent rust and leaks. This sentence has the same meaning put differentlyMoving on.We do not recommend pitching the roof in the against the lay of the land, but can be accommodated when requested with the scheduler and installed As Is without the warranty. Not requestedWhat warranty? Your company has been non responsive to my phone message and e-mailsSo far your warranty is worthlessYour company has only responded to the LNI phone call on my behalfNothing in writingWhat you told LNI as related to me, I believe the company was misleading to LNI, so I captured each point and send a reply to your company in writing verbatimStill no response from your company indicating I was telling the truth and you folks know it, therefore did not answer in writing or even a courtesy call back. Whenever there is heavy a rainfall, all of our horizontal roof buildings will have cascading water on one end, as the water must go somewhere. This is not soAgain my neighbors structure does not cascade water on either endIn the writing above you said “all of our horizontal roof buildings will have cascading water on one end” I have video of his structure ends being dry during a rainI did not notice or video the sidesAs at that time I had not heard that excuse yetI was only interested in the ends at the timeAgain you folks should have, at the very least warned me or told me or somethingBut instead you buried your heads in the sand and did not have the courtesy to return my calls and correspondence, leading me to believe you are making this up to save face with Revdex.com. We have no control of the amount of rainfall any particular building will receive. This is trueHowever again I and my neighbor have the same roof lines and the same horizontal sidingNote photos of “his panel” and “my panel” His does not have this problem You may not have the ability to control the rain grantedHowever you do have control of the information you share with the public concerning this style of structure and you withheld thisI certainly would have chosen a different style, if your sales people shared this infoI do feel you are giving misleading information to save face. This customer was on site at the time of the installation; signed off and approved the installation, notated he was satisfied with the building on his invoice and provided the final payment to the crewThe contract was completed as ordered.Your company is very misleading with this statementYes I was on siteYes I sign offYes I paidHowever on the other hand, the crew was extremely anxious to leave before it rainedI was unaware as to whyI only suspected they did not want to work in the rain which I do understandWhen they left the rains beganTo my dismay and surprise the entrance became impassable due to the deluge of cascading water fallNote the video. The structure was installed Saturday November 4, I reported the problem Monday November 6, This was the only time I was able to speak with a representative who had the authority of your company to do something about the issue at handHe was surprised and wanted a photo to decipher the problemIt was sentNo response ever since from this companyI called and spoke with a reprehensive of the your parent company who took the orderShe said this should not be happening. The structure than as now looks fineWhy would I or any reasonable thinking person think that this structure design was so flawedSo why would I not sign off? The company is/was very insist to be paid in full with a certified check at time of completionNever in my years have I seen a structure handle rain fall so miserablyOr a company handle consumer concerns so miserablyNever in my life have I dealt with such a dishonest companyThis pitiable condition is not in harmony with any persons expectationsThis structure is not in the flavor of the sign contract. Therefore I do reject your company response. What I expect of your company is to repair the structure properlyIf this means you have to change the design then do itI would have paid the going price of a different style structure if your sales staff would have suggested doing so at the time of orderBut they did notSo now I say fix it right/correctly at your expenseTrain your sales staff to be informative to the consumer and respond to their inquiries

The crew notified management upon their return on 8/20/of the damaged panelA repair was written up by a manger that same day and immediately placed onto the next run to the Molalla areaThe repair is on a run for Friday 9/We do ask for photos when possible to ensure that we are bringing out
the correct amount of materials to take care of the issue the first time; rather than have additional delays that may end up taking several trips instead of just one

As per the contract and invoice *Land must be level or Carport will be installed As IS and any warranty will be null and void*As this building has already installed on not level land their is no warranty. Therefore WCMB can only offer the following options. These options are available until 5:00pm on 1/12/2018.Option#1:WCMB will change Pitch of roof to move water to end that next to the existing building on site. WCMB would be utilizing all the existing materials which are on site at this time. The charge for this option is $0Option#2:WCMB will change the Pitch of roof to move water to end that next to the existing building on site. WCMB will bring new sheeting for the roof and both sides. The charge for this option is $2000.00Option#3:WCMB will Drop Only 13 new 24’ Panels for the customer to utilize for the purpose of re-sheeting the frame after the customer has moved and modified the building to his preference. The charge for this option is $1205.00Please let us know if you would like to proceed.

As per our contract with the customer they have a 10 day grace period to notify us if not satisfied with the building. We do accept repair requests up to 30 after installation.
All metal buildings condensate and sweat. We can only install a building as it is requested and ordered. We do not offer...

or carry any kind of weather-stripping. Metal buildings like this have corrugated sheet metal and are not sold or built as a weather tight structure.
We are a specialty contractor and only install the building on the level surface provided. We do not prepare the site. The concrete pad this building was installed on is slopped to the center of the pad. All water will naturally run to the center in this case.
The customer did not install any weather stripping prior to the building being installed and therefore the water is coming in. Had the customer expressed any concern about this at any time prior to the installation we could have made some recommendations at that time.
