We are responding to the above referenced consumer complaint. The complainant contracted with our company nearly five (5) years ago for assistance in submitting her invention to industry in an attempt to obtain a good faith review.  Our records indicate that her services were performed in...

accordance with our contract until such time that the complainant stopped paying for the services.  Upon receipt of this complaint we reached out to the complainant in an effort to resolve her concerns.  Her complaint is based solely on her belief that she should have been able to cancel her contract with our company at any time.  We explained to the complainant that our cancellation policy is extremely clear; in fact it is in bold print on all of our agreements. Nevertheless, we worked with the complainant and resolved her concerns.  Therefore, we respectfully request that your file on this matter be closed.  Thank you for bringing this complaint to our attention.Sincerely,LARK B[redacted]Compliance Manager

We
are responding to this complaint.Over
6 years ago, the complainant contracted with InventHelp for assistance in
submitting her invention to industry in an attempt to obtain a good faith
review.  We prepared and submitted to
industry descriptive materials about the complainant’s...

invention such as brochures,
press releases, brief descriptions for catalogs, an invention listing published
on a website reserved for companies etc.  We also followed up on these efforts in an
attempt to obtain feedback for the inventorThe
complainant’s concerns stem from her discovery of a similar product.  We inform our clients before, during and even
after they contract with us that we are not responsible for the existence of similar
concepts or products which may already be on the market or which may be
introduced at a later time.  Nevertheless, we investigated this similar
concept and found that the only common characteristic of both inventions was that
each belonged in the broad category of women’s underwear items.  They are clearly not the same idea.  We spoke with the complainant in an attempt
to resolve this matter and explained the above to her.  Furthermore,
the complainant’s services were completed nearly 5 years ago and the fact that
we cancelled our 2009 INPEX Trade Show had no impact on her services whatsoever,
as she did not purchase that particular service. At
this time we respectfully request that your file on this complaint be closed.  Thank you for bringing this matter to our
attention.Sincerely,LARK

We are writing to update you on our efforts regarding the above referenced consumer complaint.   Over 3 years ago, the complainant contracted with InventHelp for assistance in submitting his invention to industry in an attempt to obtain a good faith review.  A review of our records...

indicates that the complainant’s services were provided in their entirety and in accordance with our contract.    We spoke with our client in an effort to resolve this matter.  We explained our process of submitting his invention to industry, discussed the services provided and clarified any confusion which existed.  Furthermore, we reiterated that we make it very clear in our literature, contracts and company disclosures that we do not evaluate, make promises of success or profit and that the purchase of invention promotion services is high risk.  The complainant signed his understanding of this many times.       While we do not agree that a refund is warranted, we are pleased that we were able to amicably resolve this matter.  Thank you for bringing this complaint to our attention.   Sincerely,   LARK B[redacted] Compliance Manager

We are writing to update you on our efforts regarding this complaint. We have made several attempts to reach the complainant by telephone and we also sent a letter via overnight mail requesting that the complainant contact us.  To date, we have been unable to speak with the...

complainant.  Nevertheless, we would like address the specifics outlined in the complaint. The complainant contracted with us over 1 ½ years ago for our submission to industry services.  Our records indicate that her services are being performed in accordance with her contract.   We investigated the companies to which we submitted the complainant’s invention information.  We believe that the companies were not only appropriate choices but we also targeted companies from several different perspectives in an effort to obtain a good faith review.  This complainant has received several responses to date as result of these efforts.  Also, over the past 1 ½ years we believe we have been very responsive to the complainant’s requests and even provided additional services in an effort to provide the best possible customer service.   Should we hear from the complainant we will let you know.  Thank you for bringing this matter to our attention.   Sincerely,LARK B[redacted]Compliance Manager

The complainant contracted with InventHelp® for the preparation of a Basic Information Package (BIP) report on his invention.  The BIP assembles basic information about an invention, idea, concept or new product and the history of its development in a report format.  The BIP assembles...

basic information about an invention using standardized marketing information as well as information which the inventor provided to us.  We also refer our clients to an independent patent attorney for the preparation of a Preliminary Patentability Search & Opinion.     The complainant has concerns with regard to his BIP.  In order to address these concerns, the researcher spoke directly with the complainant.  The complainant wanted the BIP to focus on bicycle delivery in the food and beverage industry.  As a result of that conversation, the researcher revised that information and provided statistics regarding bicycle delivery people.  The researcher also included restaurants as part of the potential markets.  Upon completion, we mailed the BIP directly to the complainant. The complainant also mentioned that he had some financial hardship in his conversation with the researcher and in an email to the sales representative that “…a refund would be an enormous financial relief for me at this time…”   While we are sympathetic with his current financial situation, we do not agree that InventHelp should refund our fee for a service we provided.   While we do not agree with this complaint, simply in a good faith effort to resolve this matter, we are willing to refund the client $300.  Should the complainant wish to accept this offer, he should contact us.  Otherwise, there is nothing more we are willing to do. Sincerely, LARK B[redacted]Compliance Manager   Tell us why here...

We are responding to the above referenced consumer complaint.   Nearly seven (5) years ago the complainant contracted with our company for assistance in submitting her invention to industry in an attempt to obtain a good faith review.  Our records indicate that her services were performed...

in a timely manner until such time that the complainant stopped paying for the services in 2013.  In fact, the complainant still owes nearly $6500.   Upon receipt of this complaint, we reached out to the complainant in an effort to resolve this matter.  In our conversation with the complainant, we discussed the services she received and reminded her that she stopped paying for the services in 2013.  Furthermore, nowhere in our company literature do we imply that we submit our client’s inventions to overseas companies.  We disagree with her claim that she received nothing for the money she paid.  Nevertheless, we worked with the complainant in good faith and reached an amicable resolution.    At this time we respectfully request that your file on this complaint be closed.  Thank you for bringing this matter to our attention.   Sincerely,   LARK B[redacted] Compliance Manager

We are writing to update you on our efforts regarding this complaint.   In February, 2015 the complainant contracted with InventHelp® for the first stage of our services; the preparation of a Basic Information Package (BIP) report on his invention.  The BIP assembles basic information...

about an invention, idea, concept or new product and the history of its development in a report format.  The BIP report includes information already known to the inventor which they have supplied to us as well as standardized market information.  We also referred the complainant to an independent patent attorney for the preparation of a Preliminary Patentability Search and Opinion.  This information was included with the BIP.   Upon receipt of this complaint we reached out to the complainant.  During our discussion, the complainant claimed that our company did not provide the services.    Our investigation determined that the complainant met with the sales representative on March 26, 2015 and received his report.  To now claim at this late date that our company did not uphold our contractual obligation is simply not true.  What is true, is that the complainant did not uphold his contractual obligation and did not pay for the services he received.  In fact, he still owes, over $200.  Nevertheless, we made a good faith effort to resolve this matter with the complainant.  He refused our offer.    Thank you for bringing this matter to our attention.   Sincerely,   LARK B[redacted] Compliance Manager

This here shows when I can cancel before my 24 month are up before it automatically renews for additional 3 years. In which I sent a certified letter to Inventhelp before there the 24 month were up. So, I don't understand why they are lying stating I'm giving false information when it states on the contract. As well as no where does it say under the western inventhelp contract agreement that a loan would be part of the agreement.I hope the Texas attorney General would rush into this investigation with ya'll to actually see through this scam and how they are deceiving their clients by taking out these loans.Thank you m[redacted] in helping me with this. God bless you [redacted]

We are responding to the above referenced complaint.   In April, 2015 the complainant contracted with our company for assistance in submitting her invention to industry in an attempt to obtain a good faith review.  Our records indicate that her services are being provided in accordance...

with her contract with us.   Upon receipt of this complaint, we reached out to the client in an attempt to resolve this matter.  Her concerns stem from her impression that the services were not proceeding as quickly as she anticipated and her initial dissatisfaction with her first group of written materials.  In our conversation with the complainant, we explained the services she purchased to clarify any confusion which existed.  We also clarified that occasionally our clients wish to make revisions to their materials.  However, we explained that upon receipt of the complainant’s revisions, we revised her materials and returned them to the complainant for her approval within ten days.    We investigated the companies to which we submitted the complainant’s New Product Submission Brochure, and we believe the companies to be appropriate choices for her invention.  Any misunderstanding regarding our follow up procedures with companies was also clarified with the complainant.   We spoke at length with the complainant and resolved her concerns.  Furthermore, she indicated that she would contact your bureau to indicate her satisfaction with our resolution.  Accordingly, we request that your file on this matter be closed.   Thank you for bringing this complaint to our attention.   Sincerely,   LARK B[redacted] Compliance Manager
