I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
The response by Western Dental seems to indicate that they believe this is an insurance verification issue instead of a billing error. I did not have any issues in regards to the insurance verification process, and had paid off my agreed contract balance before being erroneously charged an additional $1,594 to which I am now being referred to a collection agency for $730 of the balance. I have communicated with Western Dental multiple times regarding this issue and was told that the account would be closed. I have attached the Adjustment Transmittal Slip and Account Ledger information from the office in Tucson, AZ. I have forwarded these items to Western Dental on multiple occasions, and I checked with the office in November of 2014 to ensure that they had properly sent this documentation to the Billing department as well. Their response ultimately indicates that I may still be responsible for a balance on the account after they conduct their insurance investigation, and I firmly believe that this is not the case. I do not owe Western Dental anything else, and I would like to see the account closed. Please review and forward the documentation as necessary. Thank you.

WDS has reviewed the concerns reported by the patient and an audit was completed. It was noted that the patient was originally presented with higher fees than those indicated by her dental plan. The account has since been adjusted and a refund is currently being processed.

I am not satisfied because Western Dental is sending me back to the Orthodontics whom had no idea of what to do with my teeth nor gave me a proper consultation before treatment.  I feel that WDS was willing to take my money regardless of forewarning me of the possible outcome.  Had I known I would have only had braces put on my lower teeth which was my first intention.  I only wish that Dr [redacted] would have given me a proper and thorough  consultation.  I feel that my right was taken from me in determining whether or not I should have gotten the upper braces.  I also feel that Dr [redacted] should have discouraged getting upper braces if there would not be support enough due to no lower back bottom teeth. I was mis informed.  I would not be disputing this matter if I were the least bit satisfied but Im not at all.  This is extremely embarrassing for me.  
 
Although I appreciate the offer of retreatment without cost,  I don't quite understand why I cannot be seen by another Orthodontics within Western Dental?  Why was I able to go and get a second diagnose from the Livermore office and was satisfied with what I heard but WDS is denying me of having treatment there even though your office in Manteca set up the appointment for me.  Once I arrived to the Livermore location they were already expecting me.  I wished that WDS really did care enough about the patient and would want whats best for them.  This has been prolonged for months simply because you won't allow me to see another Ortho in your same company...this baffles me as it did the office managers I have delt with within WDS.  I mean,  I'm not asking alot I just want my teeth to look better than they do and to be seen by someone other than Dr [redacted].  What if it were you....PLEASE grant me this Im begging you,  I don't like looking like this,  I am very self conscious and it's been way too long.
 
As far as my upper molar turning outward that was not from the wearing of the braces,  that specifically came from the wire being put in wrong (I guess) by the assistant which happened that very same day she put the wire back on and this was at the very end of my stage of wearing braces after mold was made for retainer.  So the collasping of my tooth came from that ONLY. 
 
It was not mentioned in Western Dentals response to the Revdex.com, which is the extra $500 that was added after my contract was completed and closed.  I am refusing to pay this amount because it was unfairly added and with compromise.
 
To me there is no point in me dealing with WDS grevience dept because they simply do not care about the patients concerns.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] and find that this resolution would be satisfactory to me.  I will wait for the business to perform this action and, if it does, will consider this complaint resolved. However, I have already run into issues with the business saying they will do something, and then not doing it.  How long are they given to perform the action, and what can I do if they do not? In addition, why have they not provided the information about how much money I was over charged? I was told by my insurance company I should have only paid $120 total. Is this the number they came up with?

Western Dental Services, Inc. ("WDS") appreciates the opportunity to address the concerns filed by the patient with the Business Bureau.  WDS has  reviewed and resolved the patient's inquiry.  The following is WDS' resolution to this matter: Responsible party was contacted and...

contract terms were reviewed.  Please see attached copy orthodontic contract verifying that responsible party contracted for the amount of $4049.00.  Also, attached is the itemized statement reflecting all payments made on account.  Responsible party has paid a total of $3,941.00, leaving a remaining balance of $108.00.  Included is also the Western Dental Orthodontic Treatment Policy signed by responsible party.  Please refer to page 2 #5 were responsible party was made aware that the $50 yearly plan sale will be added automatically to the balance and is obligated to pay under the installment contract with Western Dental.  One plan sale of $50 was added to remaining balance of $108.00, therefore remaining balance of $158.00 is correct.  A refund of $108.00 is not warranted since there is no overpayment and there has been no breach of contract from Western Dental.  Western Dental sincerely apologizes for any miscommunication or misunderstanding that may have occurred.

I have a signed contract with the Dental Office to perform teeth extractions that where never performed. If I owed anymonies to Western Dental they would have harassed me until they got their payment. Not once did I hear from them phone/mail in regards to a balance due. If so I am a man of integrity and I pay my bills in full, my credit history can prove that!!!  I find it unproffesional that they would keep money for services never performed on me. I will wait to recieve the EOB that I already have from them to compare. The way the company is unprofessional and shady. I have never dealt with such situation.  I paid for my wisdom teeth to be extracted and it was never performed, plain and simple I deserve my refund.

I was contacted by the office stating they would audit my account and send me information on 4-14-17 but to date - I have not been contacted with the audit details nor an update about the amounts only that they are looking into it as I have been told the past 30 days.  This is still not resolved and still no update as promised. I am still at square 1 owing more than I am suppose to owe. I will send the authorization of release to them upon receiving resolution. But to date - still the run around and no answers. no phone call. no contact accept for an email to get a release for the Revdex.com but no resolve.

Again, on 7/16/15 a follow up call was made to the insurance company and WDS was informed that claim is currently pending to be reviewed.  WDS will contact insurance company again to trace status of claim.WDS will continue to request payment from the insurance company until all efforts have been exhausted.  If insurance company pays for existing treatment and account results in an overpayment, WDS will reimburse responsible party accordingly. dentures.  A refund request was submitted by the office on 11/5/14, refund is currently pending to be finalized.  Please allow 5-7 business days for the refund to be finalized to the insurance company. No payments were made by the patient, therefore no additional money will be refunded.  Patient was contacted and informed that her insurance,  Denti-cal, will be receiving a refund for the entire amount that was paid towards the dentures. Patient was also made aware that no compensation will be granted.

I just wanted to add that Western Dental agreed to charge me an amount after they billed my [redacted] insurance. they were satisfied with that amount and as soon as they found an opportunity to get richer they took it. Not thinking of me as their customer. all of a sudden what I paid was not good enough . I was told by [redacted] at western dental that By me giving them My [redacted] Insurance it was supposed to benefit ME not them. [redacted] from Western Dental in [redacted] made it seem like it would benefit me. She said to ask my employer if I had insurance through them and then call her with that information. She said if [redacted] agreed to pay part if what im paying now I would be reimbursed.
That why im confused why the changed the amount and why they changed the contract even if it does say subject to change . [redacted] said it would be to benefit me not them. They charged me a specific amount then they should have not raise the price When they bill my insurance. I was told that they were going to try to see and get my [redacted] Insurance to pay for part of what I had paid. I was told by [redacted] that if I paid in full I would get reimbursed. I paid so I should get reimbursed. I was never told that they were going to try to Bill my insurance so they can add more money to their own pockets and not benefit me whatsoever. If that was the case why would I even bother giving them my [redacted] insurance.
They said this is your responsibility. The $2,900 . if [redacted] pays we will reimbursed you. [redacted] said we will see how much they pay.I know im not crazy people and businesses cant trap people like that. They are so greedy that they pulled all their tricks and find any loopholes to steal from me. Now they say I owed them but they will just let that go for all my trouble they pyt me through and for wasting my time with hopeless lies about me getting my money back. . I paid in full and they also collected almost $800 from my [redacted] insurance and now their saying I still owe them. ... Crazy.They were just suppose to try to get my insurance to pay MY bill not bill again but higher price. the bill that I paid IN FULL .
Billing [redacted] insurance only purpose according to [redacted] was to benefit me so I get some if my money back. Instead they find a way to collect and benefit so they changed the amount to supposedly take me out of the discounted price for [redacted] patients. But I was never told that. I would of not given them my insurance then .it would not make a difference to me.I know that cash patients get a discount price and I alsi know that [redacted] patients get a discount price too I also know that they have a signed contract with [redacted] with a lower discounted price as well. What a coincidence that the amount it went up from taking me out of the [redacted] discounted prices was exactly what my [redacted] insurance paid, maybe off like $20. Isn't that just weird and obvious coincidence.
This is really unacceptable if they do this to people. Im so disappointed to think that they are going to get away with this crime. I have 4 kids work full time pay my taxes im a good person, I dont like to owe anybody so thats why I feel so helpless and hurt and confused why its so easy to get away with such open crime with out hiding. Please help. Im sorry to bug so so much

As far as I am concerned this case is not closed because I never rejected to having a re-examination to further treatment with Western Dental.  I only refused to go back to the same Orthodontic who did not know what to do concerning my teeth after treatment for nearly 3 years with the company.  The words from Dr [redacted]s mouth were he did not know what else to do said on numerous occasions.  I often felt uncomfortable and afraid of him not knowing,  these are reasons I cannot go back to him.  So,  infact I did accept the offer to have further treatment with another Orthodontic within Western Dental.  I have contacted  WD Corporate a number of times asking to see another Orthodontic but they continue refusing me of that right.  I also refused to pay the surprised additional $500 that was added after my contract was completed and closed for nearly one and a half years.  Yes I did signed the form to pay the $500 but only because I had no choice.  I was told to either sign the form or I would not get my retainers nor would I be able to have any treatment such as tightening of the retainer when needed.  For this reason I felt my hands were tied and I was bribed.
 
I am now requesting Western Dental to refund my money so that I can find treatment elsewhere.

As stated in it's previous response, WDS is currently reviewing the patient's complaint and a formal grievance resolution letter will be mailed to Mr. [redacted] on or before March 17, 2016. Upon completion of it's review, WDS will forward any pertinent informaton to the Revdex.com.

Sulcular Irrigation was NOT completed on 9/4/14, I have talked to the Orthodontist and" looked it up on [redacted] to make sure there is no mistake on what procedure I am talking about.  They may have had it scheduled, but they did not do it.  Every visit to Western dental's office is a nightmare, they schedule me for one thing and then do another or do nothing once I arrive.  Many times they would schedule me to do something only to refer me out to a specialists once I got taken back to the chair.  As I stated before, on 9/4/2014 I went to have the post prep done after returning from the specialist for a root canal, I waited to be taken back, and then waited about 15 minutes before the doctor even saw me, the office was busy. I was numbed up and then left to sit there for 30-45 minutes, perhaps longer. The doctor was doing a fitting on a man (trucker) behind me and to the right who had all of his teeth extracted.   The doctor had to num me completely again just to get started, after that he turned me over to an assistant, one who had little to no experience in doing temporary crowns.  She did a good job, but it took a long, long time to complete, after that I left and went to get a yogurt across the street before going home.  I have no problem paying for work competed, this was not. I did not provide Western Dental a link when they called because I was out of the office and on my cell phone, and they could easily "[redacted]"  Sulcular Irrigation themselves.  In fact all anyone has to do is [redacted] "western dental fraud" to understand the business practices of this company and how they operate. I will be taking legal action on 2/20/15

I still need your help for this dispute. Western Dental issued me a debt of $110 and I am not sure why.I will go ahead and pay the debt because I don't want any delinquency on my credit. Do you think that is a good idea?What can be done about this? Is this something the Revdex.com can look into and assist me with? I called them last night and they could only tell me it was an outstanding balance with not much information. I can get you the contact information if you need it for the debt collector.
