I am rejecting this response because:  On the program information page,  it lists the following jobs as outcomes from this program. POSITIONS IN THE FIELDNetwork EngineerNetwork Security AdministratorNetwork Maintenance SpecialistComputer Systems AnalystMechanical EngineerComputer ProgrammerComputer and Information Systems ManagerComputer Network ArchitectDatabase AdministratorComputer Support SpecialistInformation Security AnalystThe majority of these jobs require more specialized skills. To name a few: Microsoft system center,  office 365/azure, advanced scripting/programming (this program does have a Java course but employers are looking for intermediate to advanced knowledge), advanced sql skills, advanced networking,  Cisco certs etc, cloud skills AWS azure etc. This program touches these topics but employers are looking for a quantifiable depth of knowledge not just overviews. Realistically the only job this program prepares you for out the door is the support technician role.  I would also question the purported 81% placement rate.  Many people at wgu work in the field already.  I think a better metric would be looking at median income and job titles of graduates.

WGU publishes an Institutional Catalog, which describes the academic requirements of each degree program. Although students are required to complete the program version current at the time of theirenrollment, WGU may modify requirements and course offerings within that version of the program to maintain the currency and relevance of WGU’s competencies and programs.WGU would welcome the opportunity to further support the student in their pursuit of completing an online teaching degree program. As noted in the public WGU student handbook, the BAES and MAES programs are non-licensure programs available to students who begin an initial licensure program at Western Governors University (WGU) and determine that they cannot or do not wish to pursue a teaching degree. WGU students who opt to change programs to pursue a non-preclinical experiences (non-PCE) BAES or MAES and graduate are not eligible to return to WGU at a later date and reenroll in a bachelor's level or post-baccalaureate certificate, or Master of Arts in Teaching licensure program. By opting for the BAES or MAES (non-PCE), students are making the choice not to pursue a teaching degree or certificate at WGU.Should a student be placed into the BAES or MAES, all missing content courses required in the Interdisciplinary Studies must be satisfied through either transfer credit or course completion. I am rejecting this response because:At no point did you address the bigger issue of papers and assessment approvals taking weeks to get approved. You purposefully make these approval requirements where an individual has to speak to different teachers before they can move forward. I have had these approvals take weeks to months to get a single assignment released.  I work with Navy 10th Fleet and this material every day and have my CCNA/CEH/CHFI/CAPM and have never has issues with a course like I have had with this school. I have yet to speak to someone that has shown me a real grasp of the material.

An evaluation of transfer credit is also part of the process, and all official transcripts must be received by the 1st of the month prior to the intended start date. Students who wait to request transcripts risk delaying their start date. The student’s complaint stated that transcripts were ordered from her prior school on 9/2/15.WGU maintains faculty-to-student ratios which provide students with the appropriate support to be successful. Unfortunately, the 10/1/15 cohort became full during the admission and evaluation process for this student. WGU certainly regrets being unable to meet the desired start date due to timing of the admission request and capacity constraints. WGU is eager to work together towards an anticipated start date of 11/1/15. An Enrollment Counselor will contact the student to review the transfer evaluation, answer any further questions, and help complete any remaining requirements if desired.

resource fee is non-refundable.  The complainant was sent a link to the
student handbook article 1061 on July 21, 2015 in response to an inquiry about
prorated tuition should she withdraw. 
The WGU resource fee covers access to various learning resources,
e-textbooks, library services and other services.  The student has confirmed that the prorated
tuition amount has now posted to her credit card.  WGU will not be refunding the $145
non-refundable resource fee.

The mentor will attempt to contact inactive students via telephone and email prior to initiating an administrative withdrawal. Inactive students who fail to re-establish phone contact with the mentor within 20 days of the last call attended by the student may be administratively withdrawn from WGU. Students who are repeatedly inactive are subject to more immediate withdrawal. WGU Registrar management has communicated that students withdrawn from the university, whether administratively or upon request, may appeal for readmission at the end of the term from which they withdrew. This student is eligible now to proceed with their appeal for readmission. Please note that readmitting students are required to fulfill all degree program requirements imposed or initiated before or on the scheduled readmission date, including any and all new courses, licensing exams, field experiences, work samples or other. Students appealing to be readmitted must conform and comply with new admission policies unless granted an exemption through an escalated appeal.
