This is the 2nd time I have had to resort to researching complaint sites for my Whirlpool Refrigerator - Model #ED5LTAXVOOLast time it was due to ALL the shelves crackingThis time it is because the thermostat (part # WP2315562) has been back ordered by Whirlpool for MONTHSI recognize this is a poorly made product so I can expect to replace most - or all - of the parts eventually, but I am flabbergasted that Whirlpool doesn't have appropriate supply chain policies in place so you, the manufacturer, orders integral parts before existing stocks are depleted I have called Whirlpool Customer Service (and the parts departments) - and looked on line - and have been given no indication of when - if ever - the part will be in stockIs the corporation's objective to force owners of your products to replace them every few years? A refrigerator without a thermostat is nothing more than a lit box! To say I am unhappy with this purchase is an understatement; however, with the typical expected life span of a side-by-side refrigerator or more years I should be able to use this product for more yearsI suspect that this appliance, like the Whirlpool washer I bought that lasted only years, will not even have the average lifespan Never again!

We brought a glass top stove and I drop a empty plastic measuring cub on the glass when broke the glassI called the warranty department and was informed the glass was covered and they even set up and repair firmThe repair firm called and said NO this is not covered and when I said Whirlpool said it was the answer I got will they will tell you anything to get you off the phoneWhen we called Whirlpool back we were told there was a misunderstanding and this is not covered but the top shouldn't have broke eitherTotal repair 400+ on a stove

Acct # [redacted] In November of 2015, in [redacted] , I purchased a refrigerator for a brand new house built in [redacted] The minimum electrical requirements for [redacted] ., (since June of 2014) is that all kitchen appliances be on an AFCI breaker The refrigerator I purchased trips the AFCI breaker about once a week, which could allow food inside to spoil if it goes unnoticed Whirlpool's senior repair technician in the area could not resolve the problem When contacted again, Whirlpool declared that the refrigerator would operate on a standard breaker, and that I would need to provide, to Whirlpool, PROOF that appliances are not exempt from the AFCI breaker requirement I emailed the proof they required Whirlpool then contacted me to say that they agreed that I had met the burden of proof that an AFCI breaker is the minimum requirement; however, they still do not intend to be of further assistance on this refrigerator No credit allowed for a future purchases or anything else Let me be Whirlpool (now) acknowledges the refrigerator is not up to NEC code, and Whirlpool will not do ANYTHING to resolve the matter

I bought a Maytag Washer Model MVCW425BW1, serial # [redacted] , paid for 9/30/ $ Washer broke down in May 2016, repair tech said it needed control boards that would cost me $ Needed to make the unit run He reset and recalibrated, it worked until Sept 5th, Will not run!! Called Maytag, got a customer service rep, kept apologizing for my dissatisfaction, I don't want to hear apologies, I want to know what they are going to do about I get a girl on the phonehis supervisor, she starts by apologizing again Don't want to hear that, want to know what they are going to do about I read other reviews on this Model, apparently have a history of problems after monthsThe model is discontinued Got no satisfaction from them!! Maytag used to be a good nameWhat happened?? They can't stand behind their product!! She said she documented the conversation which I admit was not pleasant!!! Why is this world today a throw away world Then we wonder why our landfills are growing I am very unhappy with Maytag I have my receipt She documented the conversation Maytag, Benson Road, Benton Harbor, MI What does the consumer have behind them anymore? year ltd warranty only covers the stainless steel tub, the motor, and wash basket that probably would not fail in the 1st year but the boards needed to push the button and make the washer run are not covered past a year!!! Maytag is not the product it is advertised to be!! Totally advertising!! The book says "forget the repair bills" Top Quality Service!! All false!!! How can they deceive the consumer this way!! I would have expected better customer service! Not someone paid to read a script to the consumer So sad that this is what consumer protection has come down to in this world!! Totally denied any request for restitution in the matter!!!

I used the whirlpool website to schedule a service repair for my dryerThey had me schedule an appointment with [redacted] in [redacted] , **I highly recommend whirlpool investigate the practices and service this company providesThey over charged me and then lied to me about my warrantyMy dryer broke again a month and a week after they came to fix it and want to charge me more money to come out even though [redacted] who fixed my dryer stated I had a day warranty Whirlpool, please look up this company on the Revdex.comPlease see all the negative reports filed against them and read how rude they are when responding to your customersThis company is giving whirlpool a bad name and I will never use them for service again and really has me questioning whether or not I want to purchase any more products from whirlpool

My wife and I own a built in KitchenAid refigerator ( owned by Whirlpool) It cost over thousand dollars when purchased years ago I expected to own it for a very long time However when the control board went out on the unit I was told it was no able to be repaired by Whirlpool It is a simple cirut board I don't understand what is so difficult about the repair The only resolution I was offered was a 1,"discount" on the purchase of another Whirlpool refrigerator To replace the unit was $8, I expect a unit like this to last more than six years before becoming obsolete Whirlpool gave me no recorse but to junk the unit It is clar to me that Whirlpool is not loyal to it's costomer base and even after spending thousands of dollars with them they don't care to suport their product or customer I will never buy another Whirlpool product and neither should you

My whirlpool refrigerator/freezer started leaking water, or rather the freezer started overflowing with ice, which turned to water, and pooled on my hardwood floors After doing some investigating, this is caused by a poorly designed condensation drain out of the freezer compartment, which is supposed to drain the water after the anti-frost cycle runs for the freezer The drain gets backed up, doesn't allow the water to flow out, therefore causing the ice to build up in the freezer, and it eventually has nowhere to go except out the front of the freezer drawer and onto my kitchen floor I received a technical service bulletin which states Whirlpool will either pay for the freezer to be serviced, or send the customer a updated part free of charge, regardless of whether or not the freezer is still under warranty I tried contacting the warranty parts and service department with this technical service bulletin to receive the free part to fix this, but the people I spoke with at Whirlpool had almost no idea what I was talking about After speaking in circles with the warranty people for about minutes, they finally suggested I email the warranty department with the technical service bulletin, proving I had a legitimate request, and all of my information Well it's been nearly a month now, and no surprise I haven't heard anything back from them They have a legitimately faulty product, which they said they would repair free of charge, but they clearly have no interest in upholding their promise because they won't communicate with me They will be losing a potential lifetime customer because they don't care to send me a $part to fix something that they improperly designed and sold to people in the first place

I purchased an accessory that I would not be installing for several months because my Whirlpool Rebate Card was to expireThere is not a way to look up accessories that go with your appliances and so I called in to get the correct part numberI confirmed that a return would be possible if it did not work out later on and was told that it would be fine as long as it was in the original packagingThe online receipt sent to me did not have a return policy listed and so I assumed this information was correctFast forward to now and our appliances were finally installed this weekThe accessory did not fit the stove, not even closeSo, I found the order number and called inAfter spending over FOUR hours being shuffled from place to place, a representative finally was able to look up my online orderUntil that time, no one could find it using any of my information or their own numberThe customer service I received has been the worst I have ever experiencedI was informed for the first time, of a day return policy, which again is not listed on their receiptsDespite their giving me the incorrect part number to order in the first place, no responsibility was takenI finally spoke with a Woman who agreed to help and then once again, was unable to look up the order and so she is going "call me back" because the dept she needed to talk to was "closed" (online hours said they were open)I am sure to never hear from her againI recorded all conversations, including those with supervisors, and I would like to talk to someone in higher management about this issue, among othersI work in the trade industry and I will NEVER use Whirlpool again after seeing how they treat their customersAbsolute nightmare

We have had to buy of these dishwashers in yearsThey didn't work well or for very longPretty pricey tooWe called for service on the most recent one that broke down as we had only had it for about a year$and they didn't even look at it or tell us what the problem wasDishwasher is still broken, but we will be looking at a different brand as we have spent about $in four years and we don't have anything to show for it

I paid money to utilize an appliance and now the reason that I am unable to use that appliance is the manufacturer The only resolution that would satisfy this situation is a full refund of my money I have no trust or confidence in the Whirlpool brand or the Whirlpool service The time and resources wasted on a simple dishwasher is amazing My service account is [redacted] I demand a resolution immediately!

I bought a Kitchen Aid stove about years ago The ignitor switch does not work properly When you turn on the oven it keeps clicking, you smell gas and it turns off I had the service tech here and he stated he repaired the switch About months ago I had the service tech here again and he replaced the ignitor switch, Now AGAIN the stove is not working properlySometimes it refuses to light and the smell of gas comes into the kitchen times to me is a LEMON I have contacted Kitchenaid thru their chat service and was told the ignitor switch is only a year warranty...I told them it's the same issue I had when it was under warranty so it's the same issue that was never fixed They told me to call the serviceMODEL #KGRS303BSSAND SERIAL NUMBER [redacted] Very disappointed in kitchenaid

We have been trying to have our refrigerator fixed for the last weeks When we originally called Whirlpool we were told that everything would be fixed under warranty and that a local company would complete the repairs That local company has now been to our home separate times and the refrigerator is still not working and Whirlpool is refusing to compensate us or approve for us to receive a new refrigerator We have young children and Whirlpool has been very dismissive of our need to properly feed them which requires a working freezer and refrigerator I am so unbelievably shocked at the poor customer service we've received from Whirlpool and that there brand new refrigerator broke after only mon I will never buy a Whirlpool appliance again due to both of these reasons

If your Whirlpool appliance is over seven years old, be prepared to replace it!
It is Whirlpool's official policy not to supply repair parts to appliance repair companies on their products that are over seven years old, thus forcing the customer to replace it Officially all they will tell you is "the part is on back order," never admitting that it will never be delivered
With some difficulty, I discovered this fact after waiting over eight weeks for a simple door hinge for a top-of-the-line Whirlpool washer that is eight years old Repeatedly I was told by the customer experience representative that the part was on back order and could expected within three weeks, but it never showed up
Attempting to find the part, I called several appliance repair companies in our metro area (Denver) that repair Whirlpool appliances to find the part I need I discovered that they all have large back orders of Whirlpool parts One repair parts supplier in our area has a back order for of the specific part I need to repair my Whirlpool washing machine! With this information, I concluded that Whirlpool has no inten-tion of ever supplying the part I need
So I called the Whirlpool customer experience number one more time Every time I got the "back order bull," I asked to speak to a supervisor When confronted with the fact that there are massive back orders for Whirlpool repair parts, a honest middle manager acknowledged that the official policy is to NOT sup-ply repair parts for appliances over seven years old This policy includes avoiding telling the truth by only saying: "the parts are on back order."

Whirlpool is lying in their advertising and when they are discovered they lie further to cover it up They advertise their KHMCMicrowave/Blower fan to perform at cfm ACTUAL CFM? cfm when asked about this they say that the unit is "functioning as designed" even though the air flow is nowhere near what is advertisedthey don't even give air flow meters to their technicians to test it-their test is "whether or not it holds up a piece of paper" and if it does not do that "whether the paper moves" LIARS-this is a $unis a piece of junk DO NOT BUY FROM THEM-whirlpool, Jenn Air of Kitchen Aid

I have purchase two Whirlpool wine coolers and both of them have lasted just over two years The repairman both times said it would be better just to purchase a new one instead of repairing them due to cost I have all whirlpool appliances in my kitchen and would like to have a wine cooler from Whirlpool but if your product does not last past two years WHY SHOULD I PURCHASE ANOTHER PRODUCT from Whirlpool
