GoDaddy takes its commitment to consumer protection very seriously. As part of an ongoing effort to prevent unauthorized online purchases, Wild West Domains requests payment and account verification for new purchases when a legitimate concern is seen with a transaction.

Our verification team has not received the required documentation to validate the order. Our customer was informed that we require additional documentation to verify their purchase.

RESOLUTION:

Wild West Domains has upheld its agreements in good faith with the customer and credit card holder.  We encourage our customer to continue working with our Verification Office and provide them with the requested documentation to fully resolve this matter.

We have never been able to access the domain we purchased (twice) almost two years ago.  Since we have been unable to gain the cooperation of the parties involved in this matter, I am going to ask that this complaint be reported as unresolved with the Revdex.com.  We will find alternative dispute resolution methods to settle this matter.
Thank you for your assistance in handling this complaint.

Dear Dispute Resolution Consultant,

Thank you for the opportunity to address and bring clarity to the customer’s additional concerns.

WildWestDomains.com stands by our previous response.  Our customer contacted our representatives on two occasions (April 1, 2013 and October 1, 2014) related to this matter.  On the first contact (April 1, 2013), our representative provided the customer with proper instructions for canceling Protected Registration however, the required steps were never completed by the customer.

On the second occasion (October 1, 2014), our representative tried explaining once again how to cancel the service however, our customer was not cooperative with our staff.

Our customer never followed the process to request the cancellation, allowing WildWestDomains.com to stop the service. Since the original Revdex.com complaint, our customer has performed a reversal on the $70.32 renewal charge and WildWestDomains.com will not be disputing the reversal.  As this was the offered refund amount and the domain name has been repossessed by WildWestDomains.com, we consider this matter resolved.

Thank you again for the opportunity to address and bring clarity to the additional concerns presented by our customer. We hope to serve our customer again in the future.

Kindest Regards,

Thank you for the opportunity to address the concerns presented by the complainant. The complainant is not a direct customer of Wild West Domains, however it appears they may have registered a domain name through a third party that utilizes Wild West Domains as a...

Dear Dispute Resolution Consultant,

Thank you for bringing the complainant’s additional comments to our attention.

Wild West Domains’ terms do not state that we will perform information disclosure as part of any agreement that we have entered with the complainant.

As with many other life situations the registrant of the domain name has chosen to remain anonymous by utilizing a legitimate privacy service for their WHOIS data. Wild West Domains will not breach its agreements with the registrant of the domain to simply satisfy the demands of the complainant.

RESOLUTION:

The complainant is asking Wild West Domains to disclose information about another party. This request would violate our agreement with the other party therefore, we ask that this complaint be closed.

Kindest Regards,

Office of the CEO – Wild West Domains

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below. When your company website interface fails to allow a customer to cancel a subscription every other year and then your customer support staff provide verbal commitments over the phone promising to "Cancel" and refund any moneys taken from you every two years, not once, but rather over and over and over again that is unsatisfactory. For you to claim that this is the customers fault when it is absolutely 100% on the hands of your support team both web and phone then I have nothing left to say to you. You need to be put out of business. I wonder how many more people are being ripped off by this company under the guise of customer inaction. It is almost to the point you can not trust anyone...

While this company has offered to refund the last $70.00 that they have stolen from me they then turn around and insult me by stating that this is my error. This I do not accept. I stand by my complaint. They have been robbing me for years... I follow their instructions each time fill out their forms and jump through all of their hoops to end up with a customer service rep apologizing on the phone promising to fix everything and not to worry it will not happen again etc... Thinking everything is resolved you go about your life only to discover it happens again and again and again! They will not stop... This is their doing. If they are doing this intentionally by design or "accidently" by design... I will let you be the judge of that. However, I do not accept their insult. I am not sure what that means to accept it or not to accept it. Rest assured I do NOT accept the insult. Furthermore I have closed my bank account so as to prevent any more theft from this company as that appears to be the only way to stop them

Dear Dispute Resolution Consultant

We have reviewed our customer's rebuttal and would like to present the following.

The domain name with Protected Registration that our customer wishes to cancel was registered/purchased on March 22, 2012. As part of the transaction our customer specified a company name during their enrollment in our Protected Registration service.

At this time, we have not received proper business documentation from the customer needed to cancel the service. As a business was listed as the Organization on the domain, this supersedes the first and last name for the domain and is required for cancellation. Additionally, we have offered the customer the option to provide us with an alternative document that states that the business was never properly active and the customer has not provided this to us.

We have honored our agreements with the customer, making a best effort to resolve this matter and obtain their cooperation in cancelling the service. As one time exception we are refunding the Protected Registration portion of our customer’s most recent renewal. The amount is $49.98 and will be provide as an In-Store-Credit, this refund has been provided outside of our Refund Policy. Our customer maintains the responsibility to cancel their Domain and Protected Registration.

Thank you for the opportunity to address and bring clarity to the concerns presented by our valued customer.

Kindest regards,

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.

[Provide details of why you are not satisfied with this resolution.]

I have looked for the contact information for the domain owner of [redacted]. That website is registered under Wild West Domains. I do not have access to that domain users information other that Wild West (the company who has information about that domain) and therefore I am unable to contact the user. Wild West Domains admitted to knowing the person who has registered [redacted] over the phone and that they admitted over the phone that they are a customer of their company and they wanted to contact that person at a cost with no guarantees that they will contact them. I want to speak with the domain owner my self. Please profide me with his/her contact information?

Regards,

Review: I logged into my account for the first time in several months to change the DNS settings on my domain [redacted].[redacted] only to discover this domain was no longer in my account. Upon checking the public whois database I see a [redacted] is now in control of my domain. I contacted customer support who informed me [redacted] was able to transfer my domain without my knowledge by manipulating Godaddy customer service people and their system. This is a major security problem. I never received an email or any correspondence indicating changes to my account had been made. I have owned this domain for many years, and recently paid ~$80 to have it renewed through a Godaddy Registrar.

I have filed multiple complaints with this registrar and have not gotten anywhere. Their customer service division simply replies they do not handle unauthorized transfers, and tell me to email[redacted].[redacted]. I have done so many times, and have not received a single response. When I call this company's service center I am placed on perpetual hold while playing the most caustic, ridiculous, aggravating music you have ever hear in your life. They refuse to provide any information, assistance, or assurances. This is by far the worst experience I have had with any company. This registrar refuses to take responsibility or offer any assistance, I am simply being ignored. Thank you for your assistance in this matter, if there is any other documentation I can provide please let me know.Desired Settlement: I want my [redacted].[redacted] domain returned to my account, and the unauthorized transfer reversed.

Review: Webzarus aka Wild West Domains, LLC owned by: Go Daddy.com

I registered my domain name ([redacted]) with Webzarus.com in 2010. This year (3/20/2014) I received a renewal notice and they were trying to charge me for a domain name that I had for one week and canceled over 2 years ago.

I never use auto renew and removed it the first time that I saw it on my account. On the 20th of March 2014, I tried to transfer my domain name and it was denied. I called the company and was told that I had to remove the protected registration. I found that it couldn’t be removed. I called back and was told that I had to fill out a form and that it would be e-mailed to me (I called two more times and still didn’t get the form).

On the 23rd my site expired, I called to find out when it would go up for auction and was told that the protected registration would be on my account for a year (even though it had expired) and that the only way that I could get my name back was to renew the account (and it couldn’t be renewed without the protected registration). I was also told that my domain name would go up for auction in 37 days (which was in conflict with the one year) and that I wouldn’t be able to bid on it.

I was told that as a favor to me “because he wanted to help me” he would renew my account for a year and that he would immediately cancel the protected registration and refund my account for the 24.99. Even though he’d told me that it could only be canceled by filling out a form. I told him that what they were doing is extortion and that any time that you try an force someone to pay for something that they don’t want or need is extortion. To avoid having my site down any longer I got a new domain name ([redacted])

to get my site up and running. I decided that I would report this company to Revdex.com and any agency that I could to let people know that they hold your websites hostage. I had my domain name since 2008 and because I went to Webzarus aka Wild West Domains, LLC aka Go Daddy I lost it.

I checked my e-mail and found that they had tried to renew on March 22nd which was declined due to the fact that the card had expired. I had to go out of town on an emergency and a funeral. On 4/15/2014 I found that Webzarus had charged my card and renewed my expired account.

I call them and asked how they renewed on an expired credit card, with an address that wasn’t current. He tried to tell me about auto renew. These people fished for the new expiration, changed the date on my credit card and charged my account.

I called Webzarus again this morning at 6:35am and spoke with Vanessa who told me that I have to understand that the card number didn’t change and that [redacted] gave them the new expiration date. I felt that they had no right to change my information?

I thought that I’d deleted that information and she said that protected registration will not let you change your information. I didn’t see any of this stuff in their contract, the way it is worded; to truly understand it you would have to be a lawyer.

I called the credit card company to depute the charges (hopefully) my money will be refunded. I also had to call today 4/17/2014 because when they reactivated that domain it was (even though I’d deleted [redacted] from my hosting account) it was pointed at and taking over my new domain. I went into my account and tried to remove the ns (to no avail) after I called them (Webzarus) They parked it and said that it would be working in two hours. Strange that they can’t change anything on my account but they can park the domain. Had I known that they were Go Daddy I would never have dealt with them. I have always had domain protection but never what these people are selling. They hold people domains/domain names hostage and you will pay if you want it/them back bad enough. Seems that with this company auto renew is not a chose but a demand; even though you chose not to auto renew they do it anyway and you have no proof that you took it off.

Even though I sent in the information to protected registration I’m still being denied. I want these people to refund my account and leave me alone as I want nothing more to do with them.Desired Settlement: Refund my credit card and let my domain name go.

Response:

Dear Dispute Resolution Consultant,

Thank you for bringing this matter to our attention. We have reviewed our customer's complaint and present the following.

On March 22, 2012 our customer purchased their domain name with Protected Registration through the webZarus.com website. webZarus.com is a reseller of Wild West Domains, LLC. At the time of purchase they acknowledged the following agreements:

• Wild West Domains Universal Terms of Service Agreement

• Wild West Domains Domain Registration Agreement

• Wild West Domains Domain Name Proxy Agreement

The latest version of these agreements and other legal agreements may be found at:

https://www.wildwestdomains.com/resellerplans/agreements.aspx

Per our customer's account preferences we were instructed to automatically renew our customer's product and did so in a Good Faith effort to honor its agreements with them.

RESOLUTION:

We value our customer's business and have acted in good faith, upholding our terms with them.

Account management is a customer responsibility and our customer agreed to this upon agreeing to our Universal Terms of Service Agreement. Their account preferences instructed Wild West Domains to process these renewals and we followed their instructions in good faith to uphold our agreements with them.

We advised our customer on March 23, 2014 of the steps required to remove the Protected Registration service from their domain name and prevent future billing. To date, we have not received the required documentation.

If the customer follows the cancellation process outlined in this link: https://supportcenter.securepaynet.net/DomainServices/ProtectedRegPage.aspx

We will be happy to process a refund them.

Thank you for the opportunity to address and bring clarity to the concerns presented by our valued customer.

Response:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below. Nothing that is connected with Go Daddy is done in good

faith! They change policy at any given time to suit their purposes and there’s

nothing that you can do about it. Their practices are definitely deceptive (at

the less).

I have tried to cancel what these people call their “protected

registration”. What they are asking for NOW I can’t give. I don’t have a

business, just a simple, personal website for our group against bullying.

Personal is what’s on my account owner information sheet as well.

What I received was this: To process this protected registration cancellation

request, we require a

color copy, scan, or digital picture of the following information be

sent to [redacted]

1. A clear, readable copy of the government-issued photo

identification in which the pictured person, name, signature, and expiration

date are clearly identifiable. The copy of the government-issued photo identification we received is

not clear.

2. A

copy of business documentation for the company listed as current registrant.

To view the company listed as current registrant you may login to the Domains

by Proxy account at the link below.

For U.S Based businesses - We can accept an EIN/TIN

Assignment Letter from the IRS. You may request a copy of this letter by contacting the IRS at

###-###-####.

If people don’t do business with them they are determined to

auction off their site(s) and/or cause them as much trouble as they can.

The information in their policy changed after 2010 and their

policy has changed considerably since then. I started this account in 2010 not

2012 and kept removing the auto renew to no avail. When I renewed in 2012 I

registered a second domain name. I canceled the second one with no problem. How

I ended up with this protected registration is beyond me.

This just means that you can’t win with these people you can

only give up. I gave up because they were holding my domain name hostage. I

told them that what they are doing is extortion and on 3/23/2014 I bought a new

domain name and rebuilt the site.

In April they found a way to renew without my consent and

keep telling me that it’s because of the protected registration.

Their policy doesn’t tell you that you will need ID to

cancel protected registration and it also doesn’t tell you that it comes as a

bundle. The bundle includes business registration, domain ownership protection,

and private registration services.

I have never used protected registration only private

registration to keep my personal information private. I don’t know how I ended

up with protected registration. Something happened after that renewal in 2012.

I got the same things for both web sites yet I canceled

asklady.net with no problem and [redacted] has been nothing but a huge headache.

Both of these web sites are in the Domains by proxy portal.

Business

Review: I've been receiving unsolicited and unwanted e-mails, up to 10 every day, from the following e-mail addresses: [redacted] When I tried to contact these various sites, my e-mails were returned. When I looked up who is responsible for these obnoxious sites, I found that the owner is [redacted], from Wild West Domains, so that leads me to this complaint. I'm pretty sure there is a limit to how much, no matter how many ways you change your address properties, mail you can generate to one address in a 24 hour period, and I would say these jokers have more than exceeded it. Your name shows up as the responsible party, take care of it.Desired Settlement: Stop these unwanted and unsolicited e-mails now.

Review: Hello,

I am writing to you in connection with a domain name registration with the registrant company "Wild West Domains".

I have purchased a domain name "[redacted].**" registration and it was done. Two days after the purchase the company requested more personal documents from me to verify my account. So I provided a copy of my passport and a copy of an investor visa "as an additional document" to verify my identity.

The next email the company replied to me was the following:

//Unfortunately, we do not conduct business with [redacted]. Your attached proof of permanent residence outside of [redacted] has expired. Please provide proof of permanent residence outside of [redacted] and one or more of the below documents to complete this verification process:

• Statement from your financial institution showing the original purchase. For your privacy, you may mark out all but the last four digits of your account number as well as any transactions with other companies.

• If a credit, debit, or gift card was used for payment, provide an image of the front and back of the card. To preserve the integrity of your payment information, please mark out the three/four digit security code and all but the last four digits of the card number. The name line must be visible."//

First, it is mentioned that they do not conduct a business with [redacted]. That is true but base on the United states Federal Law, Department of the Treasury and the US department any transaction with an Individual from [redacted] but born in [redacted] is completely legal. Our business is based in [redacted] and I registered this domain for an individual person "myself" located in [redacted] and doing non-profit activities between [redacted] and United States. Every aspect of this business is legal “whether payment instrument from [redacted] or any other”. So I am wondering why the company refused the service after the payment is done and requested further documents. Base on ICANN law they can not refuse a service and request this type of documents as residential documents.

I have tried to solve this issue with the related customer service department. But the reply was the need a residential document outside [redacted]. Similar issues had happened for [redacted] Born Customers. But at the end the company ended the case with an apology and permitted the business and transaction as the unfortunately the support team were not completely aware of United states Customs law.

Also, I have attached the payment instrument information which were base on our business in [redacted] so actually they conduct a business with a legal person located in [redacted] with a confirm and verified address.

Form of Payment: Visa card Linked to [redacted] Account

[redacted] Account Verified as an account for a business owner in [redacted]. by my name in [redacted] business directory. ([redacted])

It is completely legal to submit a domain for a person which has in USA and/Or engaged in a non profit activity.

Base on United states federal Law it is mentioned on the page of the Department of the Treasury and the US department of state that financial transaction with specific institutions and some specific person in [redacted] sanctions is prohibited and illegal. Not selling a product an individual [redacted]. So their reply that they do not conduct a business with [redacted] without concerning the payment instrument sentence in previous reply could contain issues in companies Legal term, disrespect, discrimination, unaware of Law support.

[redacted]://[redacted].[redacted].[redacted].[redacted]://[redacted].[redacted]... I will try to follow this issue and their illegal action via this portal by the help of you and via [redacted] Business portal "[redacted] international Business Portal" and My lawyer as an international case. We already started our non-profit activities base on this domain name and "[redacted].**" and published this website as a resource for those activities. although the website is not up completely. But if they refund the amount paid for the domain as the refund, it will not cover the damage to our company and reputation. Under the International ICANN, US Federal Law and the related Regulation Law, I have to request compensation for an estimated amount of 80000 USD if I can not access this domain name or can not transfer this domain to other registrants.

I need your help in this regard to defend my rights as an international customer who confronted unreasonable replies vice act of companies Legal term, disrespect, discrimination, unaware of Law support please.

[redacted]://[redacted].[redacted].[redacted].[redacted]://[redacted].[redacted]... will try to follow this issue and their illegal action via this portal by the help of you E-consumer and via [redacted] Business portal "[redacted] international Business Portal" and My lawyer as an international case.

Thank you,

[redacted]Desired Settlement: Change their term and agreements before applying unwritten terms on customers.

Respect Customers in a way that prevents unreasonable replies vice act of companies Legal term, disrespect, discrimination, unaware of Law support

It is completely legal to submit a domain for a person which has in USA and/Or engaged in a non profit activity. Part of out business have a non-profit [redacted] organizations in [redacted] located in [redacted]., [redacted] and [redacted].

Base on United states federal Law it is mentioned on the page of the Department of the Treasury and the US department of state that financial transaction with specific institutions and some specific person in [redacted] sanctions is prohibited and illegal. Not selling a product an individual[redacted]. So mentioning that sentence in previous reply could contain: issues in companies Legal term, disrespect, discrimination, unaware of Law support.

[redacted]://[redacted].[redacted].[redacted].[redacted]://[redacted].[redacted]... last, the refund of the money will not cover the damage made to our business as that domain name would not be accessible for us any more. I wanted that domain and registrant. It could be any company. If they refund the money not the domain it is like hijacking the domain our of the customers hands. The domain name itself is valuable not the amount which I have paid.

I will try to share my experience on social media and domain review sites and [redacted] market to prevent such incidents happening again for customers with this company.

The desired outcome could be to transfer this domain to any other US base company or to keep it with my current personal information up to its expiration date. So I can renew it with other company.

Dear Dispute Resolution Consultant,

Thank you for bringing this matter to our attention. We have reviewed our customer's correspondence and would like to present the following.

Upon purchase of services, on September 28, 2014, our customer acknowledged and accepted the following agreements:

• Universal Terms of Service Agreement

• Domain Name Registration Agreement

The latest version of these agreements may be found at:

Thank you again for the opportunity to address the concerns presented by our valuable customer.

Kindest regards,

Office of the CEO – Wild West Domains

I called customer service to resolve a complicated problem. The agent was rude, unprofessional, juvenile, and arrogant. He was actually hostile towards me, and all the while, failed to resolve my problem.

Review: In January 2012, I purchased a domain name and started a website, [redacted] I also purchased a plan through [redacted] and gained your link to my website. I had no experience whatsoever in building a website, and, as you can see on the links to your website, my name and a few others constitute the site description in search engine queries.

In approximately March 2012, my webhost took all control of the website away from me, but left it up on the web, until it was taken down just recently due to a Google penalty. For more than a year, I had no access to the website and could not change any content, keywords and/or meta descriptions. I have now moved my domain to a new registrar, and am going forward with a new site.

I respectfully request, and would deeply appreciate it if you would please remove the link above to help cure the Google penalty, and thereby also removing the incorrect site description from the web.

Thank you very much for your anticipated assistance.Desired Settlement: According to the contractual requirements of the [redacted], domain owners must "keep your contact information in Account Manager current, and [redacted] mandates that we ask you to verify and/or update this information periodically. Further, [redacted] requires us to remind you that providing inaccurate or dated contact information may be grounds for domain name cancellation."

I am asking that [redacted] take whatever action is necessary against the domain owner (find new contact information or as a last resort cancel the domain name) so that the link to my website is removed and/or removed from all search engine indexes (Google, etc.).

Thank you.

Review: Wild West Domains is a reseller business and their 24/7 customer support number is a direct line to INTEGRITY DOMAINS. The person ( Shawn R[redacted] ) who originally designed and brought my company to the web uses Wild West domains. This person has moved and is no longer available. I was notified by INTEGRITY DOMAINS that my domain was expiring, at which time, through some investigating, found that the registered information to [redacted] was 80% incorrect. They actuall have the registered owner of the domain as "Paul O[redacted]" and they told me that that is the owner of the site. I've talked to their support on several occasions and they've told me it's an obvious mistake. I've supplied them with sufficent proof of who I am and that I'm the owner of [redacted]. They have allowed my website to expire and tell me that I cannot talk to the department that corrects these mistakes as they DO NOT TAKE CALLS. My website and email is down and this is unacceptable. At the same time of the domain expiry, the host fee was due, which they automatically deduct from my Visa, which they did on time and then expired my website??

The complainant is attempting to gain control of an expired domain name registered through Integrity Domains, a reseller of Wild West Domains' services. RESOLUTION:The complainant has contacted Wild West Domains’ Change department and provided identification documentation necessary to move the domain to an Integrity Domains account the complainant can access. On February 19, 2016 our change department requested the complainant to provide an Integrity Domains account number so they may expedite the domain move. The complainant has not responded to our change department's request with the information required to complete the process. As the domain is in an expired status, we recommend the complainant respond to our change department's request in a timely manner.Thank you again for the opportunity to address the concerns presented by the complainant.Kindest regards,Mike L[redacted]Office of the CEO – Wild West Domains
