I would like to note that the additional trim and door work that was performed was not in any way a offer from Window World to help compensate or resolve this matter. In fact it was initiated between my husband and the worker whom came to assess the compliant. There was an additional cost involved minus the money WW owed to me for the octagon window they were not able to complete in our original contract. Let's be honest WW, this arrangement allowed your comany to make additional money from this deal and you in no way suggested or provided any additional savings. Now with that being said, as of today I have accepted the apology and the 250 refund that you have offered due to this very time consuming and lengthy process. I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.  In response to Window World saying that they do not know who would charge $900 to replace the window unit, I have the receipt to prove the work that was done.  I understand that it may have been Window World's vendor that made the mistake, however shouldn't Window World have reviewed the dimensions of the window with the vendor prior to delivering an invalid product to me?  Regards, [redacted]

Ms [redacted] has two contracts with Window World.  The first one, which was ordered in Sept as she stated, was measured by our Install Manager.  During the measure Ms [redacted] herself instructed him which windows he was to measure.  It was not the fault of Window World of what got ordered....

 On the second order, one of the windows did need to be re-ordered and has been received and is scheduled for installation on Saturday, April 1st.  This special request was honored, however, please note that we do not usually install on a Saturday. As far as her request for a discount, we feel this has already been provided at the time of the sale of the 2nd set of windows with a value of $417 worth of discounts.  However, we will offer an additional $75.00   Attached is a copy of Ms [redacted]'s contract and also a copy of an unwritten contract and you will see that we made numerous reductions in our pricing - $417 when this contract was written.  These are addressed below:2 Lite slide - actual price $340 each  sold for $219 -   $121 difference  X 2 = $242 DiscountSolarzon - $80    -  Sold for $80                           -    $10 difference  X 2 = $20 DiscountEnergy Star Upgrade - $25   No Charge                -    $ 25 difference  X 2= $50 DiscountEPA Lead Safe Practice - $40 - Sold for $25           -    $ 15 difference X 2 = $30 DiscountEPA Lead Disposal - $125 - Sold for $75               -    $ 75 difference       = $75 Discount  TOTAL DISCOUNT = $417

In the first contract that was signed by me,  the six windows that I ordered was incorrect a mistake on Window World.  This is where this matter how come to you.  I ordered 2 kitchen windows, 1 bathroom window and I bedroom window and the two small windows in the living room.  When the windows came in the two living room windows where not there, they said sorry we made a mistake and the two dining rooms where measured that was their mistake.  I called an complained to [redacted] I was livid because the air conditioner was taken out by a friend from that living room window.  Now I had a opened space that was only covered by them with a piece of metal.  Oh they said sorry.  We will rush the order for  you.  I said this is causing me a hardship.  My heat bill doubled for that month, my house was cold.  This company is not taking responsibilty for there mistake in the first place.  They are trying to put this on me, when it was there person in the first place that measured the wrong windows and because of this I had to take the crap they told me on the phone the many conversations that I had with Window World.  They are coming this Saturday to put the two windows in.  I don't feel I have been compensated correctly from Window World.  Regards,  [redacted]

Contract did not pay for upgrade $165. If consumer will pay the $165 per window and Window World will install at no additional charge. Window World will be taking a loss on these windows.

When the installer (contracted) came to install the windows he FIRST removed all of my existing window, THEN told me they were the wrong ones.  I HAD NO CHOICE but to allow him to install the wrong windows.  They forced me to install the incorrect window otherwise I won't of had any windows!! I do not want these white windows, nor do I have any additional funds to pay for brown ones.  This is bait and switch.  Regards,  [redacted]

The crack handle came in incorrectly from the manufacturer.  It was reordered and due in this Wednesday, August 24th and will be scheduled for installation upon arrival.

Mr. [redacted]'s statement about Window World being a bad company seems unusual, as this is the 5th project he has contracted with us to install windows.  The contract he is referring to was signed on April 14, 2016.  He called and left a message over the Memorial Day holiday, which we were...

closed.  Lori called him yesterday and his installation is scheduled for tomorrow, June 2nd, which is 8 weeks after signing his contract.  He signed his paperwork agreeing that these windows would be installed within a time frame of 4 to 10 weeks - see attached.  We are within our contractual obligations. I am having our IT department investigate why his phone number did not come up in our automated system.I trust this satisfies your requirements.  Please advise if you have any further questions. As stated previously, the windows were manufactured and installed per the signed contract - see attached.  Nothing on the contract indicates that she requested brown windows.  As noted on the contract $175 worth of discounts were already given to her.  Our previous offer stands, we will uninstall, order and reinstall new energy star upgraded windows with full screens and brown exterior if this customer pays the $165 per window, a total of $825 and pays her unpaid balance of $822.00.  We will be bearing approximately 70% of the cost of the new windows and the installation and have already paid the install crew and the manufacturer for the windows we installed.  No further offer will be made, as we installed the windows per the signed contract dated August 1, 2016 and she still owes us $822 for this install.   Thank you,  Kathy [redacted]   Window World

does not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I  reviewed appear below.   Well today is 8-26-16, I haven't received a call to arrange to have the new crank installed. I feel my biggest complaints as it relates to the extended wait time for installation customer service, lack of follow up, updates with status  of the windows, lack of follow up at all, having a brand new window installed and its crank being broken, being inconvenienced multiple times, have simply been ignored. Your only response to my complaint was that the manufacturer sent the incorrect crank and it's expected to be in 8-24-16.  No courtesy call to inform me of this. I am again very disappointed, but I will admit I am not surprised, as I have come to expect so little from your company during my lengthy experience of very poor customer service and poorly made windows. After leaving numerous messages, Bobbie finally called us back on October 6th and advised that October 19th would not be good for her.  She said she would call us back when she was ready for Window World to do the repairs.  There is nothing further we can do until she calls us...
