1/7/2016When we replace old Anderson wood casement windows the main frame stays into the openingWe replaced her old wood casements with new vinyl double hung windows From where her old frame is to where the glass begins she does loose 3/4" before the glass begins on the width on each side If we would have installed vinyl casements she would have lost a lot more glassOur vinyl window is a lower profile which means she looses the least amount of glass with our replacement windows then other companies use She had some windows done at her rental property but they were old wood pocket windows and the vinyl frame did set back further into the pocketOn anderson casement windows they do shrink the size of the opening with their wider main frame I'm sorry her install took longer than expected Our serivice manager, [redacted] ***, went out and looked at the job and he said it was a good install and looked greatHe did not tell the customer anything different There is nothing we could have done different in replacing her old windows with new vinyl replacement windows [redacted]

[redacted] ; refsubject complaint, be advised that we had our service tech out to look at this install...this job was done prior to our owning the Cleveland market we found that the windows in question were not installed to our satisifaction..I have arranged for one of our install crews to remove and reset necessary

I am responding to a complaint filed from a [redacted] in regards to a property he owns at [redacted] ***I was told by my installation manager at the time that we needed to send the installer back to recap (exterior trim) the windows and re-seal them I never have and never will, not service our workIf there is something wrong we will fix itI personally visited the property in question after we had sent the installer back the 2nd time to see what this complaint was aboutUpon inspection I saw a couple of thingsPictures attached 1) The sealant around the windows was sealed and looked goodThere is no J-channel installed around the windows for the siding to end into therefor making it very hard to make it look perfectThe old sealant from the old windows is in a lot of cases is impossible to remove without damaging the existing sidingThe caulking was not "globbed on" to hide anything 2) The "Large gaps" in the corners are less then 1/of an inch, BUT I agree that they look large and need to be tightThe 2nd time we sent the installer back he misunderstood on having to re-cap the exterior of both windows and did notHe just resealed the windows 3) I saw no Bare wood nor crooked cutting of the trim workI am believing that the missed areas of the interior caulking were addressed as I was unable to gain interior access to the property [redacted] was not sold a "Bill Of Goods" we are a good company and I'm sorry he feels this wayI would hate to loose [redacted] business over this as we work with multiple people who own multiple properties without any problems at all My Desired Settlement: I will be more then happy to send another crew (other then the original) to redo the exterior and be happy to be there personally with them, inviting [redacted] to join usI can and will arrange this at [redacted] convenience Sorry for the delayed response [redacted] ***, [redacted] Window World

Revdex.com: I have reviewed the offer made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint For your reference, details of my decision appear below Well, we are sorry you feel this way because we truly feel you have NOT recognized your failures in this fiasco whatsoever! Why has noone once contacted us in months?? When you do decide to contact us, you EMAIL US? Noone has approiately apologized to us or even cared after the fact, this is proven by months of no contact—no phone calls to follow up, no invoice ever once sent...nothing! Then when you do contact us...your balance is WRONG!! We do not feel you deserve any additional monies, so by offering to meet you in the middle of your proposed amount was a big deal!! We will review your company openly & very honestly on all sources of social media too...we’d love to include how you rectified a very bad situation & stood up & made things right to a customer that was very poorly handled in MANY MANY ways!! Word of mouth is the best or worst way of referral! Regards, [redacted] ***
