To Whom It May Concern: I called to cancel services to my mother's phone contract during the first week of February, I spoke with a service representative by the name of [redacted] , explaining to her that my mother had recently been hospitalized for medical purposes (dementia), and that my family and I were transferring her to a care facility and would need to execute her services with Windstream I complied with [redacted] 's directions and sent my mother's final billing statement for the month of January, along with a copy of our Power of Attorney and forwarding address for her final bill, to include my personal contact information These documents were faxed to the number [redacted] provided me with on February 12, 2016, from my place of employment, [redacted] in Dothan, Alabama However, we have still been unable to complete the following necessary actions, to include the obstacles and inconveniences my family has encountered upon trying to resolve this matter: Inability to connect with a service representative without being disconnected Inability to speak with a coherent representative, who can correctly identify the already obtained Power of Attorney to complete the final billing procedures We have been consistently disconnected after a wait time which exceeds minutes or higher to finalize the transaction When we finally get to speak with a representative, they inconsistently have our mother's account information unavailable, or incorrect, which has prohibited us from finalizing her final billing statement Finally, we have been falsely informed about her account information, leading us to believe that her billing information has been misapplied Our mother has has the same landline telephone number, (XXX) XXX-XXXX, for over yearsDue to the following errors of miscommunication from the telecommunication representatives of your business, we have been highly unconvinced and demand that this service be addressed immediatelyThe lack of professionalism and quality care regarding this event has been forwarded to the Revdex.com You may contact me at the following number and times addressed below: [redacted] : xxx-xxx-xxxx Monday- Friday 7:00-7:a.m, 1:30-2:00p.m., or anytime after 4: Anytime Saturday or Sunday after 7:a.m Thank-you for your cooperation, [redacted]

If your internet service is shut off because you cant pay bill then call them and cancel itThey will charge you full price for service while it is off and charge you a reconnect alsoI had Windstream internet for years and they lie about a lot of thingsI told them repeatedly that I did not want phone service and they charged me every monthI also had the largest package on internet and the speeds were never anywhere near what I was paying for

This Windstream Communications is unprofessionalTheir service and customer service is awfulWe recently moved to a new home in GAThe former owner had Windstream for internet serviceWe have been scheduled twice for installation with nothing installedWe were told the engineers needed involvement to put in new "pins." We have never been notified of installation date being changed until I made phone calls to themI called days ago to verify installation today and was assured it would be done todayAfter hearing nothing I just called and was told it would be another two weeksIn today's new age of internet this should not be happeningI would not contract with this company at all!

Service is terribleEveryone in the entire county complains about itEverything is glitchy all the timeGet kicked off the internet constantlyForget about downloading anything if you use this serviceBUYER BEWARE!!!!!

My land line phone service was shut off the day after my having made the request with my phone company in October 2015. I informed Windstream who was my long distance carrier of this. I continued to receive bills from Windstream Communications, Inc.for month's after my phone service was shut off into 2016. I contacted Windstream attempting to straighten things out about being billed for a dead line, but got nowhere with them. I then received a letter from Windstream threatening to shut off my ( non-existent phone: as I already had my phone shut off in October) phone service and that I would have to make payment for reconnect fees if I did not pay the bill!! They then threatened me with legal action if I did not pay and have threatened my credit. I am now being harassed by their collection agency. This company may bill you indefinitely for phone service you no longer even have and then tell you they never knew your phone line was shut off.

This company could care less about their costumersThey tell you your Internet is fine and try to find a way to seem your fault because it's slow and droos connection all the timeYou get different answers about your service and speed from techs and people, who ever they are, you talk to on the phoneI've called times and only had this weeks [redacted] is the way to go but unfortunately I live in a Windstream areaSomething needs to be done with this company

This business is seriously the worst company I have ever tried dealing withThere is very little customer service, Internet connection is not reliable & ongoing outages

Windstream communications has been very misleading with me they have intentionally repeated unethical practices with me and from what I have noticed from my investigations from going online and looking into how they treat other customersThey make promises of bundled priceing on packages with Internet and phone and dish services then after they keep you hooked up for so long and have you paying through them through their business deptthey then gouge you and turn your services off and tell you they didn't agree to that and that you have to pay every thing separately if you want to keep your services connectedI'm not the only one their are other people with the same story on the InternetNot only thatSupposedly my fiancée finally worked something out with them and I use air quotes witch means lightly because you can't beleive a thing they say, we went down to Internet service instead of because originally we were paying for Internet services and a phone serviceWhich we were under contract for under the business sideSo my fiancée explained that whatever it was I had agreed to I was appently mislead into the agreementSo we got it nocked down to Internet service and a phone serviceCurrently we are still being billed for two Internet lines and a 2phone lines and we only have Internet line and phone service

Windstream internet service is very slow! I called thave mybill reduced, I was paying $105/ monthI had a phone plan with them as wellThought I could grt it reduced because I do not use the phone lineInitially I was told, I was actually getting a better rate than I would get if I removed the services from my bill I asked her what was my internet speed? She said Up to mbsShe agreed that the price I was paying was a little high for the speed I was gettingThey removed all services I was not usingI received my bill, it went down to $95/month I also asked why was my bill si much higher than afriends that lived just miles away? Because of where I liveBecause there are no other service providers, I pay moreNot assuming there, I clarified with them ifthis was so, their reply was yesI hate windstream with a passion! Very dissatisfied!

I live in small-town Trinity, TX where local businesses and residences regularly lose service for hours at a timeIt happens so frequently that hordes of people post about it on a Facebook group for area residentsIt has affected my ability to do my job, my ability to do work for online classes, and of course, it limits recreational useThe worst part is that Windstream seems to have no intention to improve their businessI have contacted them multiple times as well as others, and problems persist

We have went days with no internet serviceIt took us days to get ITouch with them (they had us on hold for so long)After we finally got in touch with someone the service person with Windstream said she 'didn't know when we'd have Internet again, it could be hours or days'Wow! We are a software business in western Iowa and have been without internet service for the past days When we call into Windstream and reference the open work ticket number, they proceed to transfer us from department to department; each person unable to resolve the issue just passing us on to someone else! They sold us an internet package with ethernet over copper that is supposed to guarantee us internet speed of up and down; with a DSL backup This does not work! And when we call to get service, it seems like the people we talk to on the phone are clueless as to what is going on!! WORST service I've ever seen or heard of!

Sept We live in a rural area so there is no competition for phone service Since 1995, we have gone through several phone companies with Windstream being the current oneWe had both interest and phone service After multiple issues with interest service, we dropped that and went to a satellite service with excellent service Now, since first part of August the phone service has been down a total of days It happens every time it rains I have called in so many tickets that have lost count The tech manages to show up after the rain and whatever is getting wet has dried out He informs us that the line is good and he has closed the ticket To my knowledge, no one has actually looked for the problem Windstream has offered a $credit on the next bill Will we get this credit every month we have moisture - I think not! When I end up with a mental breakdown do you think they will pay the hospital bills? Totally disgusted in NM

I have been paying for internet through WIndstream for over years, which is extremely expensive ($80/month)I recently moved and even though I am paying for download rate of mbps, I am only getting .3-wirelessly and when I'm plugged inWhen I spoke to customer service, they informed me they do not guarantee wireless speeds, but I should be getting plugged inThey took $off my bill, but could offer no remedies for my slow internet$a month for internet that is constantly "loading" is THEFTThe only reason use Windstream is because it is literally my only optionI have given them so much money in the past years, and I have never felt valued as a customer

Horrible experience with this company, had FDN and they bought that company and it went downhilloutage and problems with connections, had to send employees home several times, They offered credits and then never lived up to giving themHad to threaten them with lawsuit before I could change carriers even though I was out of contractLost my email name, just a bad companyWould not recommend them to anyoneThey intentionally made it difficult to change carriers, while billing continued, I memorized the call script they used because of calling each time

I have been a valued customer for the last yearsI pay my phone bill every month on time and have never had an interruption because of failure to payMy complaint is for the last months I have absolutely no phone services!!!!! I can't dial out nor can I receive incoming calls! I have called Windstream every two days about this issue but still nothing has been resolved! This company is the worse!!!! They care nothing about valuable customers! The service representatives keep giving me the same line, " I've submitted a work ticket." I am so over this company!!! Here I am two months later with no landline services! I will not stop with complaints until this issue is taken care of! No valuable customer should experience this!!!! I absolutely HATE Windstream! The company lies and have a rehearsed customer service staf!The service Techs claim to have visited your property and they never do.! I received a letter saying Windstream was upgrading voice mailFirst of all I received the letter after the date of 7/which was the cut off dateWhen I called the first time I needed to be transferred and I was cut offSecond call I was on phone for a total of minI was told the passcode would be reset to wait minAfter waiting more that min the password was not reset

Crappy Customer service, can not ever reach themwhen we do they will not help because their hours are 8-Who pays for internet and is available 8-m-f? We consistently do not receive what they advertise we are paying forit is getting out of handfor more time than we have had their service we have received half the speed we are paying forIt is unfair, ridiculous, and such a scamAVOID AT ALL COST! they will try to make you believe it is your fault and pay moreWe pay for the higher speed and receive the lower speed

our internet is should be 3mb per second and we are only getting less than I have called them and complained and ask for them to help me many times over the last few months and they have said we are over loading our modem and they are not responcable for our slow speedwe have had the same amout of devices hooked up for many years and had not had problems untill the last months so this excuse is invalid! I ask them to send a tec out to our hous the last time I had issues and it was set up for them to be at our house thursday march before 6pm on that day they called me and told me they fixed the issue from the office and our tec had been canceled I said that it had not been fixed and we were still having issues and they said its fixed they can at my expence send out a tec which (i have the protection package which covers call outs for a tec) but they fixed it so they would have to schedual it for friday which I had told them the night before when they scheduled the first one that I was going to be out of town of friday so I needed it for thursday plus my kids need the internet for homework!
