Sincerely,
[redacted]

I am posting this to anything with Wintec or Jim Wilkos in thread :
Just received 2800.00 dollars back from VISA customer Service.  This was my final payment.  Made my initial payment of 2500.00 dollars more than a year ago with a check.  That was a big mistake. April 25, 2016.  Would have never made the final payment in October but Jim Wilkos said the frame was ready to ship.  3 weeks ago I spoke with Jim Wilkos (Wintec Fabrication) he told me that he would be shipping my chassis package out through UShip.  But again never made good on that either.  Now he will not return emails or calls.  Notified IC3 internet fraud through FBI.  We have filed a complaint through Revdex.com. And a police report through our local police department.  Finally had enough and making strides to get him to pay up.  Had been trying to be really polite and not piss him off, but I've had enough.   If I can help in any way to anyone reading this please contact me. I would like to see him prosecuted for theft.  Nice to see his logo from this Forum finally gone.

Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2013/06/03) */

Customer placed an order for items that are currently out of stock and have been out of stock due to extended delays at the outside chrome plating shop that we use. We are looking into other plating shops but do not have a solid ship date as of this time. We do not charge for any item(s) not invoiced or shipped. This customer has not been charged for anything.

Business

Response:

We experienced unexpected shipping delays due to a vendor that supplies the material for the soft top that the customer had on order. Since this order could not be filled complete, the customer has already been credited for his deposit through his credit card company on January 19, 2015 and the order has been canceled. It was an unfortunate issue that was out of our hands. We are looking for alternate suppliers for this product to try to avoid shipping delays in the future.

Review: I purchased a frontend suspension on July 26th, 2013 and was told it would be about two weeks to recieve. My credit card was billed the day of order for $2,000. After two weeks I still did not recieve my order. I phoned the seller 1-2x per week, and the seller did not return my phone calls, when the owner, Jim, did, he told me I didn't need to worry. After approximately 10 weeks of calling, he sent me the wrong parts and some correct parts from another outside vendor, which I found he ordered two days prior to shipping (this is at 10 weeks post original purchase). Between 10-15 weeks, I recieved a few more parts sporadically. At the beginning of week 14, I was told the parts were shipping out. Currently, at the end of 15 weeks, I still have not recieved my complete order. I'm putting this out as a warning for future buyers to stay clear of this company.Desired Settlement: I would like to recieve my complete order and be done with dealing with this company.

Review: At a trade show on January 17, 2015, I paid Mr. W[redacted] $1600 in cash for a complete front suspension. I was told it would be shipped in two weeks. After bi-weekly inquiries about the parts status, I was finally told he was having trouble with a vendor on March 12, 2015. Consistent e-mail and voice mail requests on my part went unanswered. When contact was finally made, return phone calls with more information were promised and never completed. Continued excuses were made about why the parts were not ready, with promises of when they would be ready. On 8/24/15, I drove 200 miles to pickup the parts because I was told by Jim they would be ready. They were not ready and another excuse was made with a promise to ship them to me the following Monday (8/31/15). They did not ship. Additional excuses were made about why and when they would be ready. On October 1, 2015 I requested a full refund on the phone when Mr. W[redacted] actually answered. I was told he would send me my money. I did not receive any refund. Repeated phone calls and e-mails have continued to be ignored as of 10/19/15.Desired Settlement: I want my full refund of $1600 in a good check, now.

We are doing everything we can to get the delivery delay resolved. We have never given any excuse rather, we offered an explanation. This order consists of two main components. A bow assembly which we have in stock and material which is produced by an outside vendor. We are working with the vendor on getting the delivery of the material so that the order can be shipped complete. We understand the excitement of receiving a new product for ones vehicle and apologize for the inconvenience.

Review: On November 7, I purchased, and paid in full, a complete Model A Four Bar front end with chrome upgrades in the amount of $1,715. To date, over three months later, I have sporadically received a little more than half the parts. Jim Wilkos, the owner of Wintec Fabrications, has continually made one excuse after another as to why he cannot ship me the rest of this order. All contact between us as to the shipping of these outstanding parts has been at my initiation. Since it is obvious that he cannot fulfill this order in a timely manner, I demanded a refund for the outstanding parts. I last spoke to him on Wednesday, Feb. 12 and he advised me that he would call me by Friday, Feb. 14 with a list of parts still outstanding and the total reimbursement on these chrome plated parts. Today, Feb. 17, I still have not heard from him regarding same. Therefore, I sent him an itemized list of parts that need to be refunded.I told him I needed to review and agree to the total amount of the refund since he previously commented that it was only about $100 or so in parts that needed to be refunded, and that clearly is incorrect. The parts in question are chrome plated and these same parts, unchromed, exceed well over $100 in value. Chrome plated parts are much more expensive.Below is a list of parts that I need to be refunded. To be perfectly clear, all the parts listed below, with the exception of the first item, the Panhard Bar Bracket, are CHROME PLATED, and the amount to be reimbursed should reflect same.(1) Panhard Bar Bracket(1) 3/8 Rod End Chrome LH male(1) 3/8 Rod End Crome RH male(1) 3/8 Jam Nut Chrome LH Thread(1) 3/8 Jam Nut Chrome RH Thread(2) 3/8 by 1 inch Chrome Bolts(2) 3/8 Chrome Nuts(4) 5/8 Rod End Chrome LH Male(4) 5/8 Chrome Jam Nuts LH Thread(4) 5/8 by 2 inch Chrome Bolts(4) 5/8 Chrome Nuts(4) Four Bar Adjusters Sleeve and Bushings Chrome RH Thread(4) 5/8 Chrome Jam Nuts RH Thread(4) inch by 2 inch Chrome Bolts(4) inch Chrome NutsDesired Settlement: I immediately demand a full refund for the correct amount for these chromed parts. I feel he is going to try to undervalue the parts, quoting a lower price that reflects these same parts as if they were unchromed.

Response:

Mr. Galicki did indeed call on several occasions with questions and

ultimately ordered a front suspension package for his Model A project. He was

informed at the time of order that most of the items were in stock but some

parts would still need to be made and the "Chrome upgrades would need to be sent

out for plating" which at the time he was fine with. A short time later at the

customers request we shipped the plain items to him so that he could get those

items powder coated (painted) by a local shop while he was waiting for the

chrome items to get back. As the additional plain, non chrome plated parts,

became available we shipped those items via UPS/USPS to his location with no

additional cost for shipping to him. Over the next several weeks Mr. Galicki

would call for advice and was provided with free information and placed

additional orders for items all of which he received in a timely manner. As for

excuses, Mr Galicki was never mislead and was informed of the delay with plating

of the last 8 items (4 rod ends & 4 adjusters) plus hardware but since it

wasn't the words that he wanted to hear he would call almost daily to berate and

insult. We use an third party for chrome plating and the delays were beyond our control. Prior to this we were able to obtain some of the chrome items that he

was waiting for from alternate sources to try to apease and complete this order

since to date, we haven't received the last couple items back that we sent out

for plating. On Wednesday, February 12 Mr. Galicki called and once again would

go into a long insulting rant and informed me that he could get the items that

he needed done faster himself. At that time I offered him 3 options. (1)

continue to wait and as soon as we had new information for him that he would be

contacted, (2) Since he claimed to have someone to chrome plate imediately that

we could send him the items in plain finish and credit him the price difference

between plain & chrome, or (3) that we would refund him for the items that

he was waiting for. Since I was with customers in the showroom at the time that

I answered his call and not at my desk/computer when he asked how much I thought

the refund would be. I "estimated" that it would be "around $150.00". Mr Galicki

called a total of 3 times that day and verbally gave me a list of what parts

thats he felt was owed to him. I agreed to put together a credit memo for him

and that he would call me on Friday, February 14. Although we were here on

Friday our shop was closed for the day due to a leaking roof that caused damage

to our showroom ceiling. The day was spent clearing snow & an ice damn from

the roof, removing/replacing insulation/ceiling tiles, and vaccuuming up water

from the carpeted floor. No call or message was left. On Monday, February 17 we

received an e-mail (see attached) detailing the items that he feels & we

agree are owed to him. Requesting a reply within 48 hours. 12 hours later we

receive a "Complaint e-mail" from Revdex.com. I was under the impression that Mr.

Galicki & I came to a verbally agreed upon solution for closure to this

matter and im dissappointed that he chose to file a complaint after the issue was resolved. I have e-mailed a copy of the credit memo to Mr. Galicki within the

requested 48 hour time period and have since refunded him with a check for the chrome rod ends, adjusters, and hardware. Since our help with his project is no loger

needed, We wish him well on his project.

Review: Ordered a interior for my 1923 T bucket, on June 29, 2015 and paid in full for it. Jim told me it would take to weeks,

and after 6 months I still have not got it, ask for a refund on November 20, today is November 30, 2015 , and still no refund, he will not take my calls.Desired Settlement: I want my money back.

Review: Sense the end of April, I have been waiting for the delivery of a T top form this company. Weekly inquiries with Jim, with promises of the delivery each time with no avail. There was a different excuse with each product inquiry. So many times a return call was promised with out it happening. The last three inquires it was requested that money be refunded, with out any response. Four and a half months Is more than adequate time for product delivery.Desired Settlement: In conclusion, I would like to have the product over the refund.

Business

Response:

We have been in contact with [redacted] who has left messages and we have returned his calls. We are working with our vendor to resolve the delivery delay. To date, a refund has never been requested since he has stated that he would rather have the product. Unless otherwise requested, we will continue to work on getting his material for his T-Top completed and shipped to his as soon as possible.

Review: ON Aug. 11, 2014 I ordered, [redacted](later changed to [redacted]), [redacted], all was paid for in full on Aug. 12, 2014, with a verbal agreement that the products would be shipped in 4-6 weeks .By mid Oct. I started to call about my order, and was given a variety of excuses, after numerous more calls I received the body and frame for the top on Nov 11. Since then My calls and emails mostly go unanswered or not returned. At one point I called only to get the answering machine, went to my car phone, and lo and behold the owner answered on the second ring. When I do get any response I get nothing but excuses, and it's always somebody else's fault. I paid the shipping and duty on the first shipment, only to open the crate and find only part of my order, I'd like the parts shipped to My door so I can get on with building this car, no more excuses, if my parts aren't ready to be shipped, send my money back.Desired Settlement: If balance of order cannot be completed within two weeks, would like my money back.
