I had a minfree meeting with sales associate [redacted] at the Madison office of Wisconsin SinglesHe was hard selling me on their dating service for most of meeting, wouldn't tell me about their pricing structure until the end of the session and was evasive when I asked specific data related questions about their success rate At the end of the meeting he told me that their base fee for the dating service was $2,for matchesI was given the option to finance this amount over months at a 12% interest rateI told him I thought this was a lot of moneyAt this point in the meeting, the tone became decidedly hostile Dave made the following statements to me: It's not a lot of money, you're paying for your next husband or partner These men are paying a lot of money for you We don't finance men, only women There are men who are paying a lot more money than that to meet you, some up to $7, I told Dave that I would need some time to decide whether or not I wanted to use their serviceHe then told me that he would offer me a deal for $2,200, but that I would need to sign up then and thereWhen I said I wanted to think about it he became more hostile and said "Oh, you won't some back, no one does." When it became apparent to him that I was not going to sign up, he became rudeThere was an information folder lying on the desk and when I reached to pick it up he said "No, noThose are for people that sign up." Dave refused to give answers to following questions I asked during the meeting: What happens if I pay $2,to the company and don't find a match after tries? What are the additional services people receive when they pay more money? How many people do you have in your membership database? What percentage of your clients are you able to match successfully? Overall I felt this business employed harsh sales tactics and suspect they may be inflating the perception of their success rate to prey on people who are desperate, convincing them to enter into a high interest loan or pay out cash

Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear belowPlease see attachment #in responseI must reiterate the following statement since the communication with the manager of Wisconsin Singles does not seem to understand what is professional and what is not It is beyond comprehension that a business would respond to a serious complaint about its ethical practices by indicating the allegations are ‘silly.’ This business continues to demonstrate that it cannot live up to its basic promises regarding the quality of its services, and that it will use any method to accept and retain fees for services that are not rendered and/or delivered in such an extremely unsatisfactory way to make them laughable by any reasonable personThe major problem is that their clients were misrepresented and in fact, are not of the caliber that was represented as available through this service Subsequently, it is highly unlikely and because current practice has shown that the employees do not understand what is acceptable in making an introduction to someone who is an attractive, high level executive with similar expectations If those individuals do not exist in their membership, there is no reason not to admit that and decline someone’s money Unfortunately, this business is not about doing the right thing--but about taking people’s money regardless of whether they are able to deliver on their promises I have been given profiles that were praised to me and in no way shape or form resemble the individuals who I was told I would meet Even the people who meet me are totally shocked that they were sent as a matchWhen you have made so many mistakes as this company has, I maintain that this company and its employees, at least in my case, have deliberately misrepresented themselves and have made poor and inappropriate decisions They would be best to remove themselves from this contract I maintain my goal of receiving a partial reimbursement in spite of all services received being inappropriateThank you [redacted]

I received a customer concern letter from my local office I handle all Revdex.com issues from our corporate office, so it was forwarded to me Please utilize my email address for any future issues I did not see an option for using an online system to answer the concern, so I must assume I am to answer it by email I will do so below Our contract is clear that every client has the option to cancel their membership without cost or obligation within days It also states clearly that after midnight of the third business day, that the client is not entitled to any refund in the event of a unilateral cancellation or termination, and is fully liable for the entire membership fee To ensure that every member is clearly made aware of the policy on cancellation and refunds, we have them initial a statement that they have read and understand the policyMs [redacted] initialed that she did read and accept the policy I'm sorry to hear that Ms [redacted] found any match to be "frightening" Every member goes through a criminal background check and we do not accept anyone as a member who has ever been convicted of a felony We meet every member face-to-face in our office In addition, we have a record of every person our clients meet...we know who they are, where they live, where they work, we have copies of their license, and we receive feedback from every person they meet I have been with this company for more than years, and during that time we have never had a single incident of violence by a member towards a member Safety is paramount to us, so it alarms me that any member felt that all of her matches were "frightening" If Ms [redacted] would like to discuss the ways in which she felt her matches were "frightening", I will be glad to discuss this with her so I can better understand the issues and help find a resolution I cannot speak for the billing company, but I do have access to our clients payment records and the billing company notes Ms [redacted] has made payments, not Her account is currently days past due and she is two payments behind Their notes state that they spoke with Ms [redacted] on 7/and I quote from their notes "CNSMR REFUSES TO PY UNTIL GET JUNE STMNT//RESENT CASE FOR JUNE STMNT TO BE SENT They then spoke with her again on 7/and she stated "stated that she is not going to make her pymnt until she recv her bill and then said that she was going to report us to the Revdex.com and then hu" These notes seem to contradict her claim that they lost her checks I am simply drawing this conclusion from their notes as this is a third party billing company In my years I have witnessed many hundreds of successful relationships and marriages between members of our service I am proud of the fact that I have played a part in helping these clients find happiness and marriage We know that every member will not be successful through our service However, we always put forth our best effort to help every member find success We will continue to do so Ms*** [redacted] VP of Operations [redacted] ***

Ms [redacted] purchased a membership that entitled her to seven months of matchmaking service While we cannot guarantee success for any member, we can guarantee that we will always go above and beyond our obligations to help every client find success Although Ms [redacted] 's membership expired in December of 2014, we continued working for her through last week in an attempt to help her find success through our service We have given her an additional months of service at no additional charge in an attempt to provide her with the best customer service possible Every member of our service has undergone a nationwide criminal background check We do not accept anyone as a member whose background shows that they have been convicted of any felony charge Every member goes through a face-to-face screening in our office prior to becoming a member We do everything in our power to ensure we provide our members with a safe way of meeting peopleMs [redacted] 's membership guaranteed her seven introductions We have provided her with I'm sorry to hear that she didn't find success in these opportunities It is our hope that every member will find success through our service However, we understand that no matter how hard we try, it is not possible that every member will find success As we have gone well above and beyond our contractual obligations, and this membership expired in December of 2014, this account would not be eligible for a refund

Thanappears that this company does not have a heart, is not willing to work with their clients on ANY type of personal level, which is contradictory, since they are match makers!????
I have been bullied and threatened from their business office. I received several calls from the billing office about non payment, when in fact I had not received a statement for months. Now I am considered in a late payment status, because they had trouble with their statements printing?
I had a match with an alcoholic, a racist, a year old, and a creep whose ex-wife was still threatening him with suicide....it appears their business practice reflects their choices of matches?
I am currently caring for my mother, (disabled) and my father, (dying of cancer). I am respectfully requesting for them to reconsider letting me out of my contract, after accepting $in payments from me in good faith and as a gesture of how caring and understanding of a business they are. I think the payments I have made should cover dates
What good is going to come from our continuing this business contract? I am BEGGING them to reconsider, and help me out
Are there still businesses out there with compassion that look at EACH situation?

His claim that we are a scam is simply without any basis in fact. They claim to have continued to help in finding a match based on my profile but instead continued to give me matches that were inappropriate and did not match my profile. They would try talking me into these matches stating they thought it would be positive but based on the matches they selected it would seem more like they were trying to get these matches out of their system. All but four of the matches were poor at best but they insisted it would be a good fit. Also they stated they gave me extra time; no extra time would have been needed if they provided quality matches to begin with. Again I am extremely disappointed in their tactics and lack of quality customer service; therefore they owe me a refund for their lack of promised service

Every service can't be perfect for everyone. This service did not work for me very early on. To not refund someone even a fraction of the amount of what they paid when they aren't happy is ludicrous. This is a business built on trust. If your clients can't trust that you will do the right thing by them then there is a problem. There is a high pressure sales pitch at the beginning that makes you believe that this is the answer for you. It prays on people's hope. The way it is made to sound people aren't thinking about the what ifs in case the service doesn't do what it promises. This is a matter of just doing the right thingObviously, the money they received from me is more important then client happiness and building trust with new clients

I contacted this company in response to an adA woman named *** called and set up an appointment with their Middleton officeAt the office I met a man named *** who interviewed me*** was very friendly and gave me many compliments during the interviewHe revealed that the company is national, not local, and operates under various namesHe suggested I purchase seven referrals for $2,When I said I don't make decisions without waiting overnight to think about them, he acted very different from beforeHe used the personal information I had given him in the interview to insult me in three different ways in an an attempt to intimidate meHe also told me if I didn't sign up right then, the price would increase to $4,and that this is "company policy." I am greatly concerned that this person, and according to him this company, are preying on vulnerable people by feigning to care about them, getting them to share personal information, and then using that information to intimidate them into signing a contract for a large amount of moneyThis should be investigated, but considering how long this company has been in business, I imagine what they are doing is legal even though immoral

I find blanket statements that we do not care about clients, that honesty is not one of our virtues, and that I personally do not understand what is professional and what is not to be silly claims. They have no basis in fact and are simply personal attacks to try to demonize our company. We have certainly demonstrated that we are willing to put forth the effort to try to resolve any and all customer service issues. Ms*** seems to only be willing to hurl insults and call them serious complaints. She has made it clear that she has no intention of working through this issueWe have contracts in this world for just this reason. The contract is clear that Ms*** is not entitled to any refund in the event of unilateral cancellation or termination. If she would like to continue working with us we will gladly do our best to provide her with the best customer service we can. We cannot guarantee her success, but we can guarantee to put forth our best effort

Ms*** last match was approved on April 19th. She did not provide us with feedback until June 17th. As such, we just started the search her next match at that time. Matches typically come every 3-weeks after receiving feedback. This was covered with Ms*** when she joined as well. Ms*** matchmaker has a match in mind for her and will be reaching out to her shortlyWe have decades of experience in this industry, and we take our client's experience seriously. While we cannot guarantee when or if a client will find success through our service, we work hard to provide a safe environment for our members to meet others. Our matchmakers put a lot of time and effort into each match. However, every client has the option to accept or decline any match presented to them. If Ms*** is not comfortable with any match presented to her, she has the option to decline the introductionWe encourage Ms*** to talk with her matchmaker about any concerns she may have. To say that our Matchmaking team is not interested in providing a good service does not seem validMs*** was contacted personally by the Matchmaking manager on November 22, 2014, the day after enrolling, to welcome her to the serviceShe was again contacted on November 25, to further review her profile to assist in hand selecting a quality first matchMs*** was provided an introduction seven days after enrollmentShe called in her feedback to the matchmaking team that the introduction was good looking, career driven, she even stated that she would see him again and "really liked him". On December 3, 2014, Ms *** decided to place her membership on Happy Hold to see him exclusivelyShortly after reactivating her membership, Ms***'s Matchmaker followed up to introduce himselfShe was provided another introduction on January 3, On January 12, 2015, The Matchmaking manager followed up with Ms*** to review her concerns. She was resistant to provide any other feedback about the introduction, other than he was nice, they got along well, just too old for herThe Manager offered to assist but Ms*** elected not to use the serviceWe would like to remind Ms*** that the counselor that enrolled her is employed and trained to exclusively qualify single people for membership. The matchmaking team is available eight hours a day, six days a week to assist our clientsWe utilize feedback as an important tool to guide us in hand selecting matches for our clientsUnfortunately, Ms***'s account is not eligible for cancellation at this pointHowever, we would be very happy to make the appropriate changes to her file and utilize her feedback with the hopes of moving forward to achieve her relationship goalsWe encourage Ms*** to contact the matchmaking manager and allow her to assist her

I will admit that I am embarrassed to say that I fell for this high pressure sales pitch After obtaining pages of personal information from me they showed me the cost Dave could sell manure to a farmer He also told me that he would be reachable through Megan who was to be my first contact person The following day I called the number I was given and spoke with Megan stating that I had reconsidered and I would like to cancel my contract For days she told me that we could not cancel the contract until we "chatted" Not once did she say to me, you need to have this in writing and assist me in the best solution for me and for them Well, I signed on a Wed Wasn't able to "chat" with Megan that Thurs or Friday and by Monday she was rude on the phone stating that I should have read the contract about the day time frame and the "in writing" clause Not once has my best interest been considered I have been treated rudely and never once allowed to speak to Dave They state that they screen their clients thoroughly, do they really want someone who has had such a negative experience to be part of their service? Well they got the money and so all is well for them I have put my account on hold Had asked to not start until the new year but they are starting my hold in DecThis was a verbal agreement with Dave but seems nothing really matters After reading so many negative responses to this company I again cannot believe I fell for this Be aware I should have known better They have my money and I don't trust them to provide a secure and trustworthy meeting with a "match"
